what does my home toolbox look like after working as a mechanic for eight years six of that was on BMW and Mini Cooper so here's my pride and joy I picked this box up before I left the shop I also bought this Locker for the side I knew I wanted a good quality toolbox that would last me the test of time this toolbox is overkill if you need a box for Home Harbor Freight Lowe's Home Depot always really good options this box was designed and built to be tattered beat up and used and abused every single day so it's a bit beefier than the other boxes you'll see in department stores my first and favorite drawer socket pliers ratchets and extensions so we just have basic tall and short impact sockets we got Chrome 3 8 wobble 3 8 we have standard 3 8 socket semi-deep then we have my quarter inch sockets down here deeps and shallows we have just more 3 8 sockets these are my old Husky tools that I brought over from my first initial toolbox purchase I have some e-torque sockets here that come in real Handy if you're doing BMWs you're going to have to have e-torques I also recommend having wobble e-torx sockets too these sockets will save the day and working on German cars you're going to have a lot of e-torques and a lot of torques going from there we have some of my larger torque sockets some of these are specialty sockets right this one is like a T70 so it's quite large they're usually used for tensioners and other BMW components I have the standard sizes down here as well as these awesome little stubby Blue Point torque sockets these things help a lot and they can really do a good job of getting in those tight spaces we have some wobble quarter inch sockets down here as well as some really handy magnetic sockets they have this small magnet on a spring so if you're getting into tight spots like intake manifolds you won't drop your nuts I do recommend though if you're ever trying to achieve the same goal take a little bit of this butyl tape right it's this stuff that they seal window seals or door seals with and shove that into the corner of the socket so that it really sticks to the bolt and that'll help keep it held in there for you additionally we also have some hex or some Allen sockets we just have some standard metrics the tall style but also we have these really slick short stubbies I think Matco made these really helpful again for BMWs and other German cars we have our standard spark plug sockets this one is a magnetic and it's a wobble spark plug socket so great for BMWs we have the 12 point style for the n54s that are pretty common let's see this was a snap on it's a 14 millimeter 12 point I believe here's the part number in case you're curious s97 [Music] 14 MK USA Snap-on we have our wobble our wobble joints right just standard ball joints different kind of wobble adapters to put on half inch 3 8 quarter inch these are really neat these are impact sockets for taking wheels off they have this badass protective cover these are gear wrench this is my 19 I have a 21 and then my 17 is still on my impact gun got some adapters half inch to 3 8 helps if you need some extra torque to break things loose 3 8 to half three eighths to quarter three-eighths to quarter and then down here is just some standard leftover sockets I have these I bought primarily just for taking uh oil filters off you know how on the uh some BMWs they have that larger size nut on top so this is like a t this is like a 36 36 mil I think I might be mistaken but yeah should be a 36 32 and then I assume this is probably a 27. yeah 27. moving on from there I have my oil filter cap that I use for my n52s n54s other engine models that have that canister style oil filter I also have some of these really neat torque sockets back here let me pull a non-broken one out and show you so it's a ball Torx head so you're able to really get in in good angles I broke one off but they still work great I still have the rest of the remaining set very very handy for getting into tight torque spots that you can't get a straight angle on of course I got the little Milwaukee impact gun I love Milwaukee I use their electric ratchets I use their impact guns and their drills I've submerged them in coolant I beat them up all the time I've submerged them in coolant I've submerged them in oil and they just keep trucking getting up here into the plier section just a standard pair of scissors here these knipex pliers these are pretty sick and really nice these are hog ring pliers so these are used for reupholstering seats they have these little notches cut in for squeezing hog hog rings this is a really neat pair of Hose separating pliers right that's the hose side that's the tube side and you can help separate things real well these are pliers that are made specifically for hose clamps that BMW pressure style you can see these notches that are cut in in the top and the side so they do a really good job of locking in with those clamps so they don't slip out and pop you in the face like I'm sure some people have experience with here we have a pretty cool hose clamp plier so this will lock in place as you press down you can cut off flow to different coolant hoses fuel hoses things like that these I believe are for removing specific pop pins things that have too little indents on the sides also fuel connectors some power steering hoses stuff like that so not used very often but it does come in handy now we're just getting more so into the generic pliers we have a just general pair of uh you know pliers needle nose dikes these Cutters are pretty nice these flush cut pliers they're great for cutting off Tire plugs zip ties different things of that nature a pair of vice grips for my grandpa I like to keep those around I do need some new pairs though more pairs just parrot pliers channel locks different types of adjustable pliers a set of oil filter pliers which comes in handy they do open up to a larger size and then Believe It or Not these super long needle nose pliers by Snap-on they come in handy a lot I didn't mean to buy them when I was younger and just started out but the amount of times that they've saved the day they've been a big help also I got some snap-on electric ratchets these are overkill for the everyday home diy-er I got these for a smoking good deal from a co-worker of mine and had them rebuilt if I didn't have gotten if I wouldn't have gotten them used I probably wouldn't have bought them then of course I just got some Snap-on extension sets these get the job done I really like these sets because they have pretty much every size you'll need to be able to combine and get the job done they do come in really handy as far as ratchets go I got this wobble head half inch ratchet snap on this one does a great job I got my first half inch husky ratchet I ever bought ratchets really they don't have to be expensive they just have to work some of these nicer ones have more teeth so you're able to get a little bit more range of motion each Revolution however it's not exactly necessary this is one of my favorites just a nice hard rigid all metal 3 8 ratchet able to get a lot of Leverage a little shorter a little shorter 3 8. and then this one's pretty slick I really do like wobble ratchets this one has a quarter inch quarter inch drive on this end so you can put in bits and get to real tight areas and then on this side it's just a standard quarter inch drive so pretty nice to have this is made by easy red and let me see if I can get you a part number 4S 1 2 L easy red and then again just another little standard uh wobble head quarter inch ratchet and a nice little mini quarter inch and one last thing for the ratchets I do have this it's a thumb ratchet so it's pretty cool you can change to on or off and you have a quarter inch drive you take this and you turn that in order to uh turn to on or off and it also has a quarter inch drive on the bottom so pretty handy for getting into tight spots when you need it drawer number two my second favorite drawer so just some standard ratcheting wrenches these are made by gearwrench I bought a set that was eight through twenty no 8 through 19. so they come in real Handy I also have just some standard non-wobble these are a mixture between Husky and DeWalt I really don't have anything too special as far as these standard wrenches go I have some larger Snap-on 24 27 21 22. this is a fuel filter and water level sensor wrench for my Duramax truck that I special ordered from Matco I had that on sale in the Tool Catalog these are by far my favorite wrenches so these are dual size you'll have a 16 and a 18 you know a 17 19 and then 13 15 12 14 8 and 10. these have this extra little shoulder on them and they have a great wobble feature you can use this side or that side depending on what kind of bite you need and they've just been extremely helpful the fact that they're so long for like a 10 and 8 millimeter ratchet means a wrench you can get a lot more leverage and in addition to that these splines that uh Matco used on these wrenches they actually bite e-torque sockets or e-torx bolts really well so when I'm doing stuff on Bell housings or if I'm taking out a starter on like an n52 I can sneak I believe it's the eight mil that I use and it bites um e12s I think so I'm able to use this spline drive on e-torx bolts and it works really really good saves me a lot of time and space over here we just have a few other line wrenches you know stuff for taking off fuel lines things like that I don't have a really nice kit of those just some random assortments I'm sorry it's this 11 that I used to take off the e-torques it's this 11 millimeter gear wrench that I use and I believe this fits an e14 so this thing saves the day when I have to do starters from the top uh just little panel poppers right little Matco flush mount panel poppers this is pretty cool this is a bendy head ratchet it's rigid it doesn't ratchet it's just a driver but having that extra little Bend to get into spots is really helpful this is probably one of my favorite tools just as a general panel popper works really good I love the angle on it I used it to get that rocker panel back on in the last video same concept different company this is a Matco same thing just a panel popper this is also one of my other favorite tools too you'll see this used for a lot of hose clamps in my videos I like to use this as a ratcheting driver to tighten hose clamps but not over torque them working down from the driver just got an old adjustable for my grandpa I always really liked it it's a forged steel made in USA old adjustable wrench I just like to keep little pieces of my grandpa's tool collections in my toolbox makes me feel like I'm keeping the tradition alive this thing is real helpful too this is a Snap-On hose puller so it has a blunt tip and you're able to slip this in underneath hoses to be able to work it around break the seal it's real Handy you want to make sure they're dull and not sharpened so you don't puncture anything as far as the rest of the second drawer goes this is my favorite pry bar it's just a monster and I use this for getting off really stubborn stuff or especially control arm bushings like I did on the E46 videos having this much leverage just makes it a breeze you can do it with this size too however having one that big just makes things a lot easier and then can't forget this guy this is my transmission extension this goes from half inch drive to 3 8 and this is used for dropping down the back side of the transmission pulling the trans mounts then you can sneak this long extension up with a half inch ratchet to break all the bell housing bolts loose just makes it a lot easier than having to get multiple 3 8 extensions up there and not having enough leverage to break them loose I definitely recommend having a nice pry bar set too these are really nice because they have a striking cap on the back side so you can beat them up with a hammer not have to worry about breaking or cracking the handles on your tools just an assortment of adjustable wrenches we have some Allen wrenches here just some other little miscellaneous stuff more Allens more miscellaneous a little panel popper pocket screwdrivers little stuff like that down here I get into an assortment of picks so I got hook picks I got long offset picks you know we got all kinds another long hook pick we have a straight 90. Snap-on pick I also have some others over here these are like my go-to Snap-on picks that I keep separated then here I just have a nice little snap-on screwdriver set this is my rat tail file this comes in real Handy anytime I just need to clean things up I've really enjoyed this tool it's really coarse so it takes off a lot of meat these little shorty Phillips and Flathead work real well too and then of course just the normal assortment flat heads and then my Phillips and then a nice long skinny flat head that I use for odd jobs it does come in handy though you can see I shaved it down a bit on the tip third drawers not nearly as exciting this is just a lot of personal stuff for me I keep headlights pens some other different stuff like that all the instruction manuals to all the other tools that I've bought throughout the years so really just a paper personal drawer over here this is my electric and air tool drawer you can see my box has the power strip built in which is real nice with two USBS so I'm able to charge on my electrical equipment in here I also have my different pneumatic tools I have my Pneumatic Air Saw I have a 3 8 gun and a half inch gun air Chuck for tire pressures I have some different die Grinders this one has a carbide bit on it right now just a little pneumatic grinder this is my 90 degree pneumatic grinder a little quarter inch air ratchet but something that's really really cool that I'm sure you guys have never seen in your life comment and tell me if you ever have seen this this is a jar of pure Mercury this Mercury I found it in a neighbor's widow's toolbox I had a neighbor that lived across the street from me named Isabelle growing up and her husband passed away and when I was a kid she would let me go through his old toolbox and look at all the old skeleton keys and stuff that he used to have well I found this jar of mercury and I showed my dad and she let me keep it so let me take a bolt and drop this down in there for you and show you actually how crazy this stuff is so I just have a standard standard Bolt and this is a full jar of mercury up to about one third check this out it floats on top because it is so dense that that boat cannot penetrate through so it actually sits on top I thought it was pretty neat I don't even know if I'm allowed to have it so don't call the cops on me and rat me out but it is pretty uh pretty cool bolts just float right on top now I don't play with this stuff with my hands bare hands so don't worry I'm not going to give myself mercury poisoning it doesn't even stick to that bolt but I keep it in there so I thought you guys might enjoy this uh pretty cool little jar of mercury I've been saving forever next drawer down this is more so inspection diagnosing I have some air hammer components in here different chisels different punches I got some drifts and punches down in here a lot of these were my grandpa's like this one was my grandpa's that one was my grandpa's which I really like let's see what we got just a miscellaneous sockets that didn't make the organizer this is that Hazard tool that I told you guys about um for cleaning up bolt threads these are pretty cool these go around different airlines and coolant lines and stuff and they'll compress the tabs so you can just pop the hoses off we got different taps and this is a spark plug thread chaser so that comes in handy this is for pulling electrical pins and different connectors and this one is for pulling air conditioning Schrader valves things like that got a little step bit down there these are tow hooks for BMWs but they're used in the block to pull the engine out from the top as well foreign we have an oxygen sensor socket as well as I think this was for like a specialty tool for like a Mini Cooper clutch or something like that I think this was for mounting the flywheel or the pressure plate I forget but it was for one of those and then this little magnet tool is for pulling out valve shims on let's see what was it this is actually E46 M3 which is the s54 that was for doing the valve adjustment on that I have some different files in here too just some brushes extendable magnets things like that this is the manometer device that I used in that last video when I was uh testing the crankcase vacuum you can see I have a oil cap here with a hole drilled into it with some silicone that way I'm able to measure engine vacuum directly through the oil cap see if there's any vacuum leaks or breather issues and then this one's for a Mini Cooper that was also custom made I did post that sheet that you guys asked about as far as the specs go on my community post so if you haven't seen that go take a peek these are Hood locks for gas struts on BMWs these come in real Handy I always lock them out you never want to put too much weight or like a light on a BMW hood with those gas struts you just can't trust them and then this is that qlt ceiling compound I used by l-ring I use this on my valve cover gaskets and a lot of other things what else we got in here we got some little detail tools more magnets just some more wands for my air guns stuff like that oh I forgot about this little Streamlight pocket flashlight I'll have to keep this in my pocket from now on because I know my other light just overexposes and washes out a lot of shots for you guys over here I have a BMW brake measuring tool so you're able to push this in and it'll give you the specs without having to take the wheel off you can just push it through that outside hole on the outside pad other Tire measuring equipment brake measuring equipment this is for measuring brake fluid so it's a brake fluid tester it tells you from zero to four percent over four percent how much moisture is in your brake fluid I'm going to do a brake fluid flush video maybe tomorrow or this week so I'll bust this out and show you guys how it works different inspection mirrors different feeler gauges different radius gauges this one's for my grandpa these are bolt extractors like lug nut extractors just a couple different one and then this is a UV flashlight used for diagnosing leaks when you use a UV dye in conjunction with let's say like an AC charge charged it up has dye in it you can use this check for any external leaks that's about it for that drawer oh and then a big flexi magnet some scrapers some flat Mill Bastard files packing exacto blades and tape measure this drawer down here is my electrical drawer I have a stud finder that I just put in this is an amp clamp so this is for putting on the ground between uh right by the battery and you can see if there's any amperage draws this is a little tool that's used just as a soldering you put both your wires in on these little tabs one right there one right there and then as you torch them in the center you can use this wheel and push more solder up into your Junction which I thought was pretty cool it works okay this is a reset tool for the older round pin BMWs so this is just used for resetting oil service and inspection service intervals just plug this in hold this button down and you can reset them through the plug here I have just a butane soldering kit I use this for all of my electrical jobs you don't have to buy the Power Probe brand you can get this same exact soldering butane powered soldering soldering pen on Amazon for a lot cheaper that's not name brand Power Probe but this thing works great and it rips what else we got we got a little circuit tester this one grounds out through you as long as you're holding on to this clip so that's pretty nice you don't have to run a bunch of wires I got my Power Probe it's a little covered up right now just some different flute clips for electrical testing some soldering paste which is some flux different electrical connectors some more solder lighter some different BMW connectors for rebuilding burnt out connections these are pretty cool these are just little terminal tool kits so these are used for unlocking different electrical connectors so you can get the connectors out and rebuild them I have just a budget scan tool which I really need a new scan tool guys hopefully someone out there sees this that works with the scan tool company because uh I think it'd be a good partnership for the channel I've been holding out and making sure I don't sell out or work with any brands that I don't truly believe in that I wouldn't want to back and you know bring to you guys so I'm being hesitant and I'm and I'm waiting and I'm holding out but there are some things that would be a lot helpful to the shop to the business into the channel and a nice complex scan tool where I can do coding seat occupancy sensors airbag lights maybe look at injector rates for my my my diesel maybe to clear engine adaptations for different vacuum leaks and stuff so scan tool is definitely on the list but this one's basic it clears the codes it tells me if I'm ready for smog it does the basics I got my multimeter here by Matco these are a cool pair of uh automatic wire strippers I have some crimpers for my Barrel connectors for rebuilding electrical connectors just nice bigger set of Snap-on crimpers and then we have I think these are Klein just some different strippers electrical components small flush cut dikes and that's about it for that drawer next down we have sort of my destruction drawer I'm missing my drill which I'll have to go hunt down somewhere I've just a nice big drift punch I also have a wrench for the fan clutch for like e46s these are my attachments that go to my Snap-on air hammer these are for breaking like you know CV axles loose or if I need to knock out ball joints stuff like that I can bust out the air hammer and rip those out real quick this is a nice dead blow ball peen which is pretty cool it's got sand inside I have a impact driver in here and then these are a nice set of brass punches so the brass will bend and mold out before you damage the piece that you're hitting foreign and then over here I have uh this real great I think this is Matco a big heavy dead blow rubber so it won't damage anything this is a really cool Hammer I got from my grandpa solid steel all the way through really heavy but short and stocky framing hammer my girlfriend was just using for some baseboards and then nice little ball peen I like using this for seals different things like that that I need to be gentle with and then this thing is really cool this is a seal puller so you get that good 90 degree action I'll use this for like crank seals stuff like that and then again just like another little drift uh puller kind of deal some Square stock and another big flat head down here is not much I got a half inch torque wrench not too long ago I bought from auction so it's Craftsman it gets the job done I got my Sawzall in here I also have a bunch of miscellaneous hose picks like I was telling you guys about earlier with that black snap on one I bought this set from Matco just a bunch of different sizes uh you know straight 90s this one's hooked you know so these are nice they're dull they don't puncture your hose but you're able to break hose seals stuff like that and then this thing's handy this is a chain wrench so I'll use this for wrapping around crank pulleys to break them loose and to get the opposite reaction but just wrap this around and bind it back to each other and you can adjust and if you're ever doing it on pulleys though I just recommend taking an old piece of belt wrapping it around the pulley before you throw this chain on because you can scratch and Mar just about anything you put it on if you're not careful nothing really exciting over here this used to just be my clipboard inspection drawer and then I just have the assortment of nuts and bolts I've collected over the years different push pins for different Vehicles you know how it is as a mechanic you just end up amassing equipment old bolts and nuts that come off and old pieces that you don't need so this all needs to get organized and it's still kind of a mess but I want to show you everything without hiding anything so this is it and last and least my far bottom right drawer this is just a general drawer this is an old toolbox for my grandpa I just got a bunch of spare Tools in there there's really nothing fancy uh just some old socket organizers maybe some Allens some touch-up paint some air connections P line uh yeah so old filter wrench some coolant adapters stuff like that here I got my glue silicones and tapes so I have some extra lubricants down there fresh bottle of sill Glide some Dielectric grease engine assembly Lube safety glasses self-sticking you know hook and loop tape double-sided tape this is my grandpa's old soldering box that I wanted to keep so just got some cool old antique soldering equipment down there I never really use it but I can stomach getting rid of it and yeah that's about it for there some extra stock of gloves a couple extra spare parts some zip ties Scotch Brite a couple little house items and then this rag I've used for details engine details for like probably eight years and never washed it it's just fully saturated and heavy with engine shine and silicone and all kinds of Grease so it actually works pretty good to have the nice wet saturated rag ready to go back shelf is nothing special got some Chemical Guys vrp glass cleaner system one spray polish Chemical Guys speed wipe seal Glide Electronics cleaner Stoner trim shine lubricant brake parts cleaner dry wet silicone seafoam some trim shine some two-stroke oil nothing special I cleaned the top of the toolbox today before doing this video so thanks for the recommendation gave me some good motivation to get cleaned up around here in the locker what do we got we got some extra fluids cans stuff like that just some Overstock there here we have my electric 3 8 Snap-on torque wrench that does you know newton meters angle torque all that good stuff some photos over here too this one was the first two Yellow Tail I ever caught out at Catalina Island no mustache Alec anyways what do we got in this top one so we saw the torque wrench this is my Snap-on Automotive compression tester kit so just different fittings and connectors for checking compression you can get a whole lot cheaper kits than snap on I bought all this stuff while I was still wrenching so you can go with cheaper options one this is a seal and bearing driver I haven't gotten the opportunity to use this enough but it just comes with a nice handle as well as a bunch of different fittings to where you can drive in seals nice equal and opposite across the whole seal circumference and then behind my this this is just a really nice tap and die and drill set so this is just for uh you know cutting new threads fixing threads it comes in real Handy just a nice master kit with drill bits Taps dies turns gauges all that good stuff so just all all encompassing doesn't have every size I ever need but it gets the job done for the most part and what do we got down here so this is just a tire plug kit always good to keep these on hand I did a how-to on the E46 Revival video so if you're curious you can go check that out good to have on hand though just a spare box of metric Hardware I bought at O'Reilly just washers different metric bolts metric nuts always good to have some Hardware on hand this one is awesome you can practically rebuild a BMW with this kit no not really but Vanos hose O-rings and washers and stuff like that this comes in real Handy you can even use these as drain plug washers if you choose to do so I got this kit at the shop up I got it from one of our shop suppliers I don't know where to get it or how to get it but here's the part number for it in case you're curious is this washer assortment kit down here I got my Snap-on cooling system pressure tester you've seen this one used a lot in the videos I have uh you know like a n52 attachment right here I have a E46 attachment right there and then this one I believe is for like Mini Coopers but comes in real Handy to have a cooling system pressure tester kit with adapters then this this is my vacuum test kit so this is just a little vacuum gun uh comes with some hoses and some nipples mostly just for like testing a Turbocharger wastegates and stuff like that but it is nice to be able to have a ability to pull vacuum and to have it measured it's not used very often though and then before I left the shop I bought this basic fuel injection kit this is just going to be able to get you fuel pressures at the rail if you ever have any fuel pump diagnosing issues or anything like that so just something to where you can adapt to the fuel system and get a good readout from the fuel pump in the rail what do we got down here so this is a brush kit that you saw me use on the water pipe video if you've seen any of the E46 cooling system rebuild videos so I like to use this primarily for water pipes this is a super nice tool to have so this is like a little mini flush ratchet this is quarter inch drive and then this is an 11 mil it's got these different fittings in here with some e-torques that do a really good job of fitting into this 11 millimeter side so I mean you can imagine it's hard to get a e-torque socket that flush so it really comes in handy for some of those tighter BMW jobs also have some snap ring pliers here just the regular standard you know Snap-on assortment it's good to have some plastic pick tools from Snap-on just some different edges and angles for picking out seals and doing interior work radio removal kit that was given to me I've never had to use this and then this Kit's really nice too this is just an assortment of like interior poppers this one I like a lot right so just for popping off door Cards doing window regulator work popping switches out without using any metal so you don't scratch anything so plastic pry tools are definitely really helpful I think 100 it's good to have Summit good to have some on hand we got down here so this is I got in a Snap-On real nice Snap-on extractor set so for just pulling different types of Hardware uh getting in and extracting I also have a Matco re-threading thread restore file set which is pretty nice I got these Astro pneumatic Tool Company these are some carbide Burrs that work real well I have one on my on my grinder but these won't wear down very fast and you can chew a lot of material with them just got a little snap on a high speed drill set which has worked pretty good a pair of blue point uh digital calipers just for measuring rotors different types of components with the more minute work just a little Tupperware here with some assorted caps for plugging off lines fuel filter stuff like that box of cotter pins some of these sleeves these come with a new crank seals so you slide this over the crank Hub you're able to get that crank seal on without damaging it and spreading it open enough and just a little needle file set I got from my grandpa this has come in handy more than you could imagine uh it's really cool to have it's also made made in Italy of the finest Swedish Steel High test needle file set so this is just a cool piece of my grandpa's tools I like to keep around and then this thing's really cool this is a Fowler deburring kit so this is just like a little wysiwheel or wizzy stick like I like to call it basically you can put these different types of attachments on it like this one right and uh it is you can just basically run it around the inside diameter of a hole and it'll scrape out all those Burrs for you with that nice Cutting Edge so real nice tool to have I bought one of these for my dad a while ago and he was pretty pumped on it last but not least bottom drawer just a Matco grease gun put it set of ear muffs C-clamp caulking gun this is a prop Rod you could use this for I use it for pushing down the brake pedal when I'm checking bulbs you can use it to keep hoods up you can use it to do a lot of things but it's nice to have on hand adjustable prop rod stethoscope Automotive stethoscope for diagnosing bearings pulleys stuff like that good to have and then this thing I actually saw an a YouTube short on one of these before so this is a Snap-On hose clamp plier set so you pull this release that and what you can do is you would put this on one of those pressurized BMW hose clamps and just click down and it'll lock it and lock out that hose clamp for you so hard to reach ones where you can't get needle nose pliers in there this is a the golden tool to use comes in real Handy but there are cheaper options out there than the Snap-on one so you don't have to buy Snap-on like I did cost definitely costs a little bit more money that covers it for the toolbox that's covered we just got you know some levels a little straight edge stuff like that up there come along for any time I need to winch big items or put anything on a trailer got Harbor Freight air compressor that's been doing a great job so far put a new regulator on it and bought this hose reel from Harbor Freight too just so I can keep it up off the ground feels really good to have up there what else we got I got this miter saw that my old man bought for me for Christmas actually I think it was for my birthday right after I moved into the house uh compound miter saw by DeWalt with the stand this has been great for my little Home Improvement projects building out garden beds with my supplies back there and stuff then these are some old methanol jugs I got from my work I worked at an air base this last season for fire department and these are for the methanol injection system for the aircraft but when they're empty they make great oil and coolant storage jugs and nothing really special in here just a little Craftsman toolbox just keeping some electric old electrical components that still have to assign that George or something also I got this Harbor Freight shop vac who works really good I've been happy with it so far other items over here got these Rhino ramps not too long ago they're great because I can pull my e46s and e90s up onto them without having to Jack them up other ramps are usually too steep but these work great this is that smoke and EVAP system machine tester that I've been using in the last couple videos with the attachment I've linked this exact brand I believe it's like Auto uh Auto line or something like that but I'll put it in the description of this video maybe I've put it in the description of other videos so take a peek around my link is out there for you snap on overhead light this thing's great just extremely bright almost too bright but it works great and then let's see what else we got uh floor jack I bought from used it was originally Harbor Freight but it's gotten the job done I got the floor jack the ramps and the jack stands or the chalks and the jack stands from a dude on Craigslist for like 150 bucks so that was the score and then here I have my fluid extractor you've seen me using a couple videos it's okay I bought it from Harbor Freight it's by far the worst one I've used so far but it gets the job done somewhat and then this is that why stool brake fluid bleeder kit you're able to pump this up add pressure inside the bottle and then you can use this bottle with this little nipple and throw this nipple onto the brake bleeder screw and all the calipers and just let the tool do its thing which is real nice and real convenient that's just about it for the day off DIY side of things the rest of the garage I just got a bunch of fishing gear I used to live in Southern California with a bunch of really good fishing species so you know I got my big reels for killing triple digit fish I bought this for fishing Bluefin I killed my 70 pound Bluefin with this big reel got some other Daiwa gear I really like Daiwa pen Shimano my dad made me this cool box with this metal cut tuna I like to fish for a lot of tuna Bluefin Yellowfin Yellow Tail Dorado halibut white sea bass everything we can catch here over on the Pacific coast I also been doing a lot of salmon and steelhead fishing too so here's a lot of my other setups I got my old jig stick uh nine nine foot I think a nine foot no maybe eight foot forget how big this thing is I think it's a eight foot eight foot jig stick I got my 13 foot Fish rod or surf fishing rod uh you know different gear my Avid two speed got some trout rods and steelhead rods mixed in there too a little Messier over on this side but gets the job done I've been wrenching more than I've been fishing and then just some overall storage in the rest of the place got to use fridge some storage to keep my fishing gear up and out of the way bicycles a bunch of stuff like that that I'm not using as far as the rigs I got around on the property right now this is the 330i that I just did the detail and a little bit of restoration on I'm keeping it over here in this garage spot I'm probably going to start pulling my diesel truck back into the garage over here keep it out of the rain and keep it a little bit better condition I don't want the elements just beating it up all the time outside then as far as whatever else I got I got Big Bertha it's a 2005 Duramax LLY turbo diesel it's got ARP head studs this one's got like 240 000 miles but it is a champ and I want to get this one back in the garage to keep a little bit better care of it and then this is my first E46 that I got for 500 bucks it's a four-door automatic trans 2001 330i I believe this is the zsp package too because it has the Xenon headlights it has the upgraded bumper I'm not sure though maybe you guys can tell me what exact packages on this car I worked as a mechanic but I was not that knowledgeable on the packaging I was just knowledgeable on the repairs and the diagnosis and then last but not least I got my little 16 foot aluminum boat I bought this thing for 1500 bucks last year it's got three seats little console up front it's got a oh the steering was locked up it's got a little 25 horse two-stroke on the back but I got the boat and trailer for 1500 bucks so I've been real pumped on that haven't gotten it out too much I need to get some fresh rubbers for it but I just wanted to give you a quick overview of the whole Fleet real quick just so you can kind of see what all is going on so we got two 500 BMWs I got my big truck and I got my boat right now but we're keeping an eye out for other cars and then just a general overview of the property front driveway back fence line Highway 101 is back over here so you get a lot of noise from that which is why I try to film with the garage door shut but I bought this house last April and closed escrow last April so I haven't been in this shop too long it's still pretty new and pretty fresh but I think we're making a lot of good progress and it's really coming along nicely so thank you for the recommendation on making the shop and toolbox tour I hope you guys enjoyed it I know I did gave me a great excuse to get the garage cleaned up if you have any questions on the tools or anything drop a comment down below I'll do my best to answer and get back to you with any details on any tools in case you're curious about it also just a little bit of background info to go with this video I worked as a mechanic for about eight years between General Automotive six years as a BMW Mini Cooper specialist after my time was done there I finally got hired in with the fire service where I've worked for the last four years but now I've made the decision to transition out of the fire service and get into content creation get into a bit of wrenching on these BMWs doing some house repairs building garden beds chicken coops a home renovation real estate Automotive fishing boats a lot of cool stuff so I'm trying to do this full time and I'm not going to go back to the old job I'm going to stick and commit to it until we are successful but I just wanted to let you guys know because I appreciate you I appreciate you viewing I appreciate your comments supports and likes it all means a lot so thanks again for sticking around thanks for supporting the channel I really appreciate you with that we're going to get back after it on the E46 tomorrow so I'll see you guys on my next day off
