hi everyone it's me Darlene I am sitting at my sewing machine I just sat down here about five minutes ago and I started putting some little tiny pieces of fabric together and I thought I just want to show you guys what I'm doing I have one minute on this card hang on actually it wasn't the card it was my battery that had one minute so I just plugged in and we're good to go all right I have been cutting two inch squares lately and when I do let's just pretend that this is a two inch strip you know first I cut two inch strips this is the full width of the fabric but it's folded in half like when we buy it and then I fold it in half again and then I cut two inch wide strips then I put that on my mat and I start cutting two inches this way I make sure I get rid of all the selvage on one end and then this other end is this folded end and when I get to that end you know sometimes I have a little tiny tiny piece left sometimes I have a wider piece and when I had a wider piece I saved it because because you know yeah no you know why so I have a bunch of things that look like this that are wider when I open them and it's two pieces but I have some like a little bit more narrow and then sometimes on the other end I can get rid of the selvage but they'll still be a little piece I don't know do I have an example to show you okay like here I didn't throw the salvage away yet for this so I have salvaged and salvaged so that's going to get tossed but then look I have a nice little nice little piece here so they're all different widths but they're all two inches this way so they're really easy to put together I have found I might have to go through my trash and dig up more of these so I just started putting them together this is all I've accomplished so far and I thought why not just turn the camera on show you what I'm doing and chat with you for a little bit now whatever width they are you know this way I'm I'm just leaving it and I'm just slapping two together and then I thought I can you know put those you know two together and just make little tiny strip sets for my chrome quilting or whatever I want to do I just think it's going to be super cool I'm not being fussy I'm just trying to mix up a little bit let's put this green on this other green I've been having fun cutting the two inch squares but I got to tell you that is time-consuming but I'm going to try to continue to offer them only because I don't know I just think they're so cute let me show you hang on and it happened that I had the right bags for these okay so this is currently on on sale in my of my flash sale that I have every weekend it's four hundred two inch squares fifty different prints you get eight of each print and they're stacked in there so you know you're not going to see all the prints but you can see the changes and I have these cute little bags that I can put them in but then I have to put all these bags in another bag just so they don't get mixed up because I want to make sure that they get all the prints that they see in the image so you know they're just nice they look like that and this is 400 in all and if I have any leftovers and I might this time then they will go on eBay but that wouldn't be until maybe my tape came apart must fix that wouldn't be until son afternoon maybe always check my eBay so I'm having a lot of fun with this it is very satisfying to to just see these little squares and it had just I don't know I'm obsessed with this stuff and I just really would like to find a way to use you know all these little ends and I have I have more than that maybe did I toss some I don't know let's look in my trash this trash is strictly fabric and/or thread now see I have other scraps here this is not two inches but see there's a lot of good fabric there next to that selvage I might start having to reconsider what I'm tossing out the Oise I can find a good reason to use it then I'll be good with that look at this what was I thinking this this doesn't belong in the trash are you kidding me that's coming out I really might have to go through this another big piece like that I don't know what's wrong with my brain lately I don't normally do these things so maybe I shouldn't look in the trash because I could spend a long time just going alright let's just continue sewing for a little bit I feel like doing that and then I'll I'll start putting some of those together now these could just be long strips you know just really long strips of all different colors so that when I do crumb quilting or crazy quilting I can just add that and I have the length that I need or I could eventually cut the strip's and make some like you know a block out of just the strips I think it'll be fun to see the things that I can make I probably won't be doing that all in this video I'm sure because I have stuff I have to go do I'm just procrastinating right now that's why I'm sitting at the machine I was like oh I've got to start cutting fat quarters I'm going to be having a big fabric frenzy I think the date I have in my head is November 8th well it would start for that weekend and it's going to be my 20th frenzy and I want it to be good and I'd like to have another batch of 100 fat quarters for that sale this weekend was you know laid back sometimes I I do a lot on the weekend and I try to sell a lot this weekend I I just felt like just kicking back a little bit it's not putting as much as I normally do is I like to offer a lot of stuff okay so let's just do a few more and then I'm going to finger press and start putting them together and we'll see how that looks you know what's gonna look awesome couple more here so I have a nice little string of these guys I'm gonna snip and then I will do something depressing now I didn't press these because there's not one part of me that wants to go to the ironing board and press open all these little tiny pieces so I'm going to just put them together I'll Bend like that and then I will just finger press these guys and start attaching those and then when when it's a longer strip that'll be easier to press this is so satisfying to see little pieces of nothing turn into something okay so I have you know stuff like this going on here see that's the start of something beautiful and I'm just going to finger press that open and I'm going to put something that's not exactly like that on top of and then let's do two more finger press being depress I don't usually put you know scraps this tiny together but that's because they're not you know I don't usually have them all like where they're the same width which is just so exciting to me because even when I do crumb quilting as you know if because I'm sure you watch that entire series you know I'll start with you know strips like this or bigger pieces and then I just so big pieces together and then I cut them after to make them look like I started out with tiny pieces I love the looks of tiny nasai do let me put a couple more like that together and then we'll start putting those pieces that I just sewed together and wonky is allowed and if any of those little two inch squares go on eBay I'm not sure if I'm going to sell them in the you know smaller Pat packages or if I'm going to just bunch them all together as one item I'd really like to start selling more of my eBay stuff like bigger Lots if people want little Lots and a ton of variety well then they can be encouraged to become a patron or a youtube member and take advantage of my weekend sales and buy big frenzies because I really am to the point where I'm packing orders every day and it kind of takes away from my sowing time or recording time I should say so I might start just making the lots bigger on eBay combining things and I didn't realize that I'm actually adding just single pieces now to this because I wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing that's okay but I do have one more little two patch here so let's add something big to that guy right there okay whoops my whole strip fell on the floor I'm back did you miss me let's take these things apart I'm very happy that I'm taking some time too so I did about half the packages that will be going out on Monday and I said I gotta start cutting some fat quarters but I was like I just want to do something something fun for myself and then the minute I started this I was like I just want to turn the camera on and show everybody what I'm doing okay so you know I have some like this with three colors some with four colors I don't know somewhere in here look how cute that is already oh my goodness so liking this I don't know how come I have one that's still just too but anyway let's slap everything together that we can as you can tell I'm not being fussy with prints I'm just you know obviously trying not to put the same prints together I think I can manage that all right this is just a single piece that wants to be included now that one is very narrow here on the end but I'm going to attach something there and hopefully we'll see some little tiny flowers sticking out when I have something that narrow I put the narrow one on top so I can see and then I can push back that seam I'll finger press it in the other direction and then I can make sure that that I'm you know not sewing right up on the thread I'll snip that in a second and we'll look at it because I see how that came out let's look at that oh it's wider than I thought see how cute that is I can't believe it took me so long to warm up to finger pressing it really is a major time saver do I have anything else well let me snip these things and start putting these together I'm going to do it until I have one big long strip and then that can go in my crumb box or I could just do this anytime I feel like it and then put these long strip sets on cuz penny auctions I have so much fun seeing what people will bid on my out of thread or something I think I am all right hang on back in business I didn't have any more of whatever color I was using on top so now all my bottom thread is black I have a feeling I'll have to be cutting a lot of this video out because I did like way too much chatting alright I'm going to sew this to this and then I'm going to press it and then we're going to look at it oh my goodness look at this nice strip let me go press you guys this took really no time at all and I have a strip 33 inches long I'm just so impressed by how easy this was because they're all ready you know two inches I'm gonna call it two inches tall I'm so happy I mean even you know just these strips like this put a bunch of strips together to make a quilt that way let's see if I can you know you could just sew strips together like that oh okay that is it for this video I'll jump back in another time where I just feel like sewing and chatting I need to come up with a name for this series alright you guys thank you so much for watching I will be back with more soon I promise bye you
