finding it hard to live and afford the basics in their own country you want to know why because this so-called digital Nomads are flying over to Cape Town Without Visa by the way it's not required you don't need to pay for Visa if you're coming from the US the UK all the Privileges are given to you even though a South African is not going to be able to get the same privileges from the US from the UK from France all these countries will not allow not even just South Africans any Africa for that matter in their land without an application of Visa without making you pay without screening you and going through your bank details your marriage details your life history the hurdles that we have to go through to get a simple visiting Visa we all know right so for South Africans to go through this when in fact if it was the other way around they'll never get to exercise the same privileges speaks volume let me show you how this digital Nomads are making it hard for the locals to live now I recently moved to Cape Town as a digital Nomad realistic day in my life as a digital Nomad working in Cape Town a day in a life of a digital Nomad in Cape Town me and my best friend moved to South Africa so spend our first day together living and working in Cape Town welcome to a day in the life of a digital Nomad SL entrepreneur slf freelancer in Cape Town day in the life of a digital Nomad in Cape Town I'm working remote from Cape Town South Africa and place is I work remote from Cape Town South AF and this is a day in my life Cape Town is one of my favorite destinations I've ever worked from and that's really saying something okay if you're coming to Cape Town here's everything you need to know if you're American you can come to South Africa without a Visa and stay for 3 months which is amazing because a lot of the other surrounding African countries require a Visa and it's like $50 to $100 here is a day of my life living Cape toown as a seven figure entrepreneur so I'm currently working from Cape Town this is what I spent working as a digital Nomad INE so you want to move to Cape Town South Africa where the cost of living is 66% lower than the US rent is 71% cheaper and you could live comfortably with $1,250 a month K down is truly a magical place like it's the most beautiful city you'll ever go to like the beaches are like the Hawaiian beaches the mountains are unlike any others the wildlife obviously in The Safaris I have the opportunity to live a festar life on a three star budget costs a half to a third to a quarter of would in Canada or the United States so allows us to live a high quality life on a low budget what is sad about this to begin with they're not paying for Visa secondly there most of them are even admitting that they are overstaying by default they were allowed to stay for 90 days but as if that's not enough they stay more than 90 days which is illegal but nothing happens to them guess what because they have privileges that the rest of us will never get to exercise secondly they're not paying tax even though they're working in South Africa they are making income there they are enjoying their life basically in someone else's country but they don't even pay tax so that is the reality right now and to make matters worse they are gentrifying that City and making it hard for the locals to survive I have read so many comments from people that live in cap Town saying that they can no longer afford to go to a cafe and just sit down and eat or work because these foreigners will come in and they're spending more money because they're dollars and their euros and their pounds have more value in South Africa compared to the Rand so they take advantage of that and they will just make things complicated for the locals there because now these companies and this organizations and this restaurants and cafes and plac will start charging more cuz they know that this people are coming in with more money which now is going to make the locals suffer because they can't compete with these people and they can't afford to pay for those basic needs that they would have taken care of for much less than what they're being asked to pay for right now it's really really sad it's not a joke it's not a simple thing and I also watched one sister from South Africa talking about the exact same thing I guess she faced backlash she was explaining why she said what she said as South African and we are supposed to afford to live in Cape Town there people who were born and raised my mom was born and raised in Cape Town I was born and raised in Cape Town and I probably will never move out of home unless I live with someone else like I cannot afford to compete against the Euro and the pound and the dollar it is so please go away I can't believe a sandwich cost 70 round at VA like please please leave our city please go away please juice this big 60 Rand for my niece and I to have coffee in the morning it is now 120 Rand South African R please go away please leave ality we don't want you here I'm so sorry tourism aside I just please go away go live in your own countries we can't afford you so clearly it is becoming an issue now and if the government doesn't address it they're just asking for trouble there needs to be a law there needs to be regulation the locals need to be protected how do you not care for the people that you are here to serve just because this tourists bring in money by the way they're not saying they don't want tourists they're saying they don't want these people that are illegal that are coming there and overstaying and they're not even paying tax and they're not even paying for Visa because they have the privilege those are the people that they're talking about I just want to make it clear it's not tourists that they have a problem with and it makes sense why they're saying what they're saying so the government needs to act and they need to act swiftly because are other governments treating your citizens the same way you're treating other citizens I don't think so so they need to respond to their citizens question and anyways fam let us know down below what your thoughts are about this I am wiam I'll see you
