Transforming My First Minecraft Survival World!

one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve oh sorry hello just can't we count in the chicken deaths there that was unfortunate what are the people doing these interesting oh yeah that's right they say hi and please subscribe I think that's it cool so about four years ago I did a video looking at my old minecraft worlds and in that video there was this world that I showed it wasn't a world from a series I played it was just a world I played for fun so I think today we're going to upgrade that world make it look nice as the world is pretty hideous as you're about to see so luckily I saved some of my old Minecraft files and this one is probably from about 2012 although I couldn't remember what version it was on unfortunately I couldn't find my first ever minecraft world because I've had three computers since then and honestly it's lost is long gone but this one is very old and I do remember playing in it and it just screams of 2012 doesn't it look at this thing however what you're seeing here is using the updated textures let's go see how truly awful this place looks so I'm going to load it up on 1.7.2 I think it was made way before this I just couldn't remember the version / find which version is from plus it just kept crashing constantly as you can see it's pretty ugly it's very basic minecraft stuff I remember trying to build this cobblestone bridge in complete survival not my finest work especially this bit underwater here which is gonna be a little platform but just looks terrible let's switch back to the latest versions for the textures will change but I'll show you around this place because for some reason my inventory is completely empty on this and all the chests are emptied alright this is a bit better we've got the new textures it still looks pretty terrible but we've got all our items we used to have my inventory like usual is a mess I must have just been mining I heard you like wheat so I put some wheat under your wheat so you can farm under yo farm I'm pretty sure down here yep I had some underground farms for some reason I thought this was epic but in reality that's not great is it and the chests actually have stuff in now my sugarcane farm very basic we got a little this room over here all the fairness is there empty not sure why I just built this little house for furnaces in the house itself though we got a chest with some wood and some dirt iron in the furnace lovely and here's all our stuff stuff halfway maybe I threw out the rest of it what's in the basement oh okay oh it's empty some dirt oh my gosh there's a hole mine interesting week seems to have a level where we bumped into a cave and rather than just fill it in I've made a little fence bit and down here we've got our actual mine oh my gosh all the chests seem to be empty for some reason this is where we were strip mining at the wrong level which is probably why I don't have any diamonds also they actually finished the strip mine you can see where I planned it out below the butt is blocked in but we're not here for that we're here to make this house look good oh my gosh I know what I'm gonna start with why if I left these floating Joel oh my gosh I hate my old self the idea with the path with the gravel though isn't bad I surely must have had a texture pack because this it would have what yellow will and cobblestone went together either way this thing needs to be converted it is hideous I hate it it needs to change I think we'll start with this little outhouse here with our furnaces in gonna try and keep a very similar theme but obviously gonna have to change it as the yellow will hideous feel bad I'm gonna empty my inventory into this chest here why do I have a compass things I'll never know let's switch to time-lapse mode as we try and make something here that looks half decent now I try to keep the cobblestone and yellow theme but it soon disappeared I left as the bottom layer then just got rid of it completely and instead just went for the yellow theme as well added a bit of orange in there some new blocks that we obviously didn't have back then plus I've had eight years of practice of building since I last made this I don't know why I had a room just for furnaces so obviously I wouldn't actually have this building and these days but I decide to try and make it look nice anyway but here it is we've still got some yellow wool in here I don't there and there than I meant to be obviously use a lot of red sandstone with it and it's looking more like something I would actually build today lots of little bits of detail around here and stuff we've made this path up the hill here as well just in case I wanted to wander off in that direction it's just nice having like paths leave the area and I saw this hill and I was like oh that could look nice inside we changed the floor is now using mooshroom stems and some terracotta and I put the furnaces here instead of all the way around the walls now because the buildings taller some lanterns in here but pretty basic as it it's a room for furnaces that's it we also got rid of the window on the back and the stage it's added a bit of decoration some pumpkins in and I've changed the path to now have some cost dirt and gravel as well so that's looking pretty good but I think I'm gonna move on to the two farms here as our next challenge starting with the bamboo farm as this could look a little bit nicer than it does right now probably do a bit of terraforming make it look all neat and tidy and move this chest yeah also I just know this is next what is the point of this it's just a hole I've made interesting oh and quickly here that get rid of these as it was making me sad so these days I would do an automated sugarcane farm but we're just upgrading this cosmetically so I had to try and make a sugar cane section which looks nice this is my idea a waterfall coming in lots of sugarcane around it etc it looks really ugly as it's sugarcane and I hate how it looks but I think it's the best we're going to get for now as for the other farm however I could actually make that look quite nice as I think farms look pretty good it wasn't a very big fan so I have to split it up into these four sections here where we had every single thing we wanted Plus as you can see I had a couple of trees one birch and one oak as well which looking very fancy and here you have it I think this is looking a whole lot better although I still hate sugar cane I just think it looks so old and tacky and comparison to every other block we have in the game I don't know why I just don't like it but I think this area is looking really nice I did a new path going up here as well past the trees made both these trees myself as you can see use a bit of spruce and birch leaves on this one and over the birch and oak on this one and the waterfall falling into here I think it's a nice effect I just wish it wasn't leading on to all this sugarcane to be honest if you look at this side it's really nice and you pan round you got the bar and it's looking okay and then this this big here which is gonna be our next task I have no idea what we're gonna do to it but I just know it needs to change why does it look like a face like with one eye and a mustache there I don't know but we're gonna change it white doesn't used to think these windows looked good this is pure rookie building here also it's on two levels I'm not sure what we're gonna do we're gonna try and make it look nice also why have I put two doors here just why and there's just dirt sticking out the side here get rid of that right now let's get time lapsing this thing needs a makeover ASAP though I wanted to keep the basic shape of this thing but obviously we're gonna have to change that roof entirely so we did we actually added in this little tower here because we had a spiral staircase there and it was not very much space for it so I thought I'd make a bigger spiral staircase with a lovely Tower for that staircase to go in I tried to stick to the jungle wood theme because that was what the house was made out of but I also added in some bricks I also added in some dark oak and I made this roof black instead I thought it looked really cool with the black terracotta through a bit of dark oak in there as well but their basic shape of the house is the same don't worry I'll show you around quickly although we have not decorated the inside yet so obviously this is a lot taller than it was before because of this Tower but I'm very happy of how this looks the main house itself you can see I use like this brick and grin out with the jungle on top but for here I use some terracotta and the jungle would like the stripped wood instead and I think it looks really nice it's a nice contrast from the main building you can see this is the bit here where we have the staircase sticking out do you really know what to do with this because you can really add Windows it's really small so I think I'm gonna leave it like that prep some stones up against it or something change the two doors that were on the back from two separate doors to one big double door this is where the staircase is obviously gonna have to rearrange it slightly as I think the house shifted one block this way this is where the spiral staircase would go and I've actually added in a third floor of these two windows probably not a huge flaw that the spiral staircase can go up one more level I think that looked quite nice but all-in-all very happy of it I think is looking really good and I'm gonna work on the inside now and I'm not gonna time-lapse this is just really hard to time-lapse the inside of builds so instead I'm gonna click my fingers and it'll be done whoa look at that you can't really tell the difference can you that's because the difference is inside as you can see here we've gone for a little kitchen area got a nice little blast furnace we've got our ender chest hood under here lots of barrels everywhere just try to make you look nice you know it's quite a cramped house but we tried to fill in a lot of stuff we've got a couple of extra furnaces over here not that we'd need them with our furnace place over there bookshelves nice little fireplace these stairs would lead down to the basement that we have before but then we can head upstairs as you can see here got some lanterns we get to the next floor where we've got a load of stuff a little table grindstone brewing stand some little things like that we've got a bed over here of a lamp and stuff some paintings etc a little wardrobe with some stuff in it looking very quaint and nice indeed and then finally on the top floor we kind of got the Attic which is just full of like chests and barrels and stuff maybe we just store stuff in here you don't really want know that I will ever be using this build again after I finish with it but there we go I think that's looking pretty good but now to fix the area around is it's still looking kind of plain and boring plus the fences up here all the animals kind of escaped I don't know where they've gone either over here cool but let's finish off a little farm married a bit of terraforming and such see if we can finish off and make this place look nice oh and I forgot to add actually added this chimney on the outside as well a little bit extra to the build let's cut to the time-lapse so I'm really happy of how this entire area turned out we started building this tree here and I thought a pond would look really nice underneath it as well and I kind of got inspired at one point just to add in this little tiny little campsite surrounded by these leaves and this bamboo which I thought looked really cute and we also changed the fence to stone instead which I think just fits in with this current frame we've got going a bit better plus then I extended the path down to the bridge which we're going to work on next and as more naturey stuff and for some reason decided chulip field so our chillip field in here but now when you walk up to this place it looks so much better oh my gosh I can't believe this is the same world we got all the past taking is where we want to be a point of a lot path round here past the tree and the pond that we have in here looking very nice with some plants in it and stuff bit more terraforming over here the leaves and we've got a little campfire with some logs and stuff and then there's two paths up to this with two gates to our sheep pigs and cows etc and the path which leads back into our house as well in fact I probably should just put like some flowers and stuff just round here as well just to separate this off so that is not some where you walk on perfect but now we move on to this monstrosity which honestly I wouldn't ever build today so I think what we're gonna do is remove this and replace it with like a lovely dock or something like that because that would be way more useful we could use a boat which would be so much quicker to get across then running which we would never do so sorry mr. pig but this thing it's gotta go and so have you good bye I love that little splash sound that made by the way okay let's cut to this time-lapse where we can build hopefully a nice looking dock I also might have to terraform this a bit as it's nightmare how nice this sections looking and how this is here let's start with that bit shall we will then move on to the dock take it away me so we didn't really do much with this area just sort of terraformed it make it look a little bit nicer some more hanging vines and stuff could we bother to make any more trees so I didn't but we got working on this dock here which there's actually free places you can get into this dock from each of the free corners and I added these like sort of floating bamboo trees and some floating lanterns and I think it ended up looking quite nice and we added this sort of like pagoda thing in the middle as well as some leaves hanging out and we got this floor we got like the vines hanging down I think I actually didn't add our boats so let's pop a few boats around on this fing there we go but there that's looking really nice that's so much better than that cobblestone bridge my gosh this whole build has come along fantastically let's do a few transformation time-lapse shots shall we so here you can see the contrast between the beginning of the build and then what we have now oh my gosh the difference is quite outstanding especially when you look at that terrible old house there and those farms very basic vanilla minecraft wares now we've got this luxurious looking place with the waterfall everything it's looking really good I'm very happy of this I'll be very happy to have this as my survival world to this date so there you have it our old base redesigned redecorated looking really good I'm just really enjoying building and minecraft at the moment and when
