delightful sure but also hilarious welcome to Ms mojo and today we're counting down our picks for the top 10 funniest Disney Princess moments I'm very sorry Gaston but I just don't deserve you before movies that had us laughing hysterically at the antics of the Disney Princess we'll be using the term princess as a blanket statement for most female Disney protagonists so characters who are technically not princesses will still be included why it's my dream Prince number 10 Malan meets the matchmaker Mulan Mulan speaking without permission oops who spit in her bean curd Milan may be an incredible warrior but she's also a little clumsy this character trait is on full display when she meets the matchmaker and everything goes disastrously wrong she speaks out of turn indirectly gives the matchmaker and ink beard and pours tea all over the table all this before she fans some embers and literally sets the matchmakers butt on fire I think it's going well don't you so yeah clumsy regardless it makes Milan endearing and it helps us connect with the character most of us have never had to Don our father's armor and go to war we all know what it feels like to mess up in an important social situation Milan's pretty hilarious her smacking Mu Shu was pretty darn funny too number nine Tiana kisses a frog and eats a bug The Princess and the Frog The Princess and the Frog is filled with many brilliant moments of comedy and this scene actually layers more than one the initial movement of the tongue the gross Slurpee sound it makes and frog Tiana's confused and incredulous reaction are all amusing providing more than enough ammunition to get the children in the audience laughing but the following line only makes the scene that much funnier especially when you consider it from Tiana's perspective oh no no no no there is no way I'm kissing a frog and eating a bug on the same day it truly would suck to kiss a frog and eat a bug in one day but while it sucks for her it makes for a fantastically entertaining moment for audiences number eight Jasmine acts crazy Aladdin thanks to Robin Williams iconic performance as the genie Aladdin is undeniably one of the funniest Disney movies you're a lot smaller than my last master either that or I'm getting bigger look at me from the side do I look different to you for the same reason however people are quick to forget just how funny the other characters can be Oh [Music] tragic isn't it case in point the marketplace scene where Aladdin saves jasmine from an angry vendor he pretends that jasmine is his crazy sister and jasmine plays along by bowing to Abu and saying hello to the doctor who's just a hysterically confused camel trying to enjoy a meal no come along sis time to go see the doctor doctor how are you what makes the scene even funnier is Jasmine's eerie voice and vacant expression as she tries to convey her insanity the whole sequence is both funny and touching making us laugh while also conveying the genuine chemistry between our two leads number seven fish peeing you all day Moana leave it to Disney to make the ocean a beloved and comical character mallanna utilizes the sea to amazing effect as it beautifully embodies the film's themes is an integral part of the story and has some incredible interplay with the titular character this is my canoe alright get over it we gotta move perhaps the best example of this is when the ocean keeps putting mallanna back on the boat while she's continuously being thrown off by Maui it's a great bit of physical comedy but nothing is funnier than when an angry mallanna tells the ocean that fish pee in it [Music] I said help me and my boats not fish it's adorable simple but effective stems from Alana's relateable frustration and is just immature enough to delight both children and adults yeah adults can laugh at pee jokes as well number six snowball fight Beauty and the Beast a few days more there may be something there that wasn't there before Bell isn't an inherently playful character preferring to be alone with her books and her thoughts plus you know the whole taken captive thing may have soured her mood a little however the gorgeous something there sequence begins to show a different side of Belle [Music] [Music] something which is hammered home by her throwing a snowball at the Beast the following fight is just delightful as Beast chases Belle around a tree and builds a massive snowball that would have broken her neck would have guessed it come together on their own it serves as a major turning point in the story and is heart meltingly cute with this sequence we finally saw the connection between Beauty and the Beast they laughed and we laughed with them number five aerial brushes her hair The Little Mermaid The Little Mermaid is a hilarious fish-out-of-water story quite literally the whole mermaid as a human thing is a fantastic setup for jokes and we get many hilarious ones like Ariel driving the carriage like an absolute maniac but perhaps the most iconic joke of the entire movie comes when Ariel sits down to dinner with Eric misinformed that the fork is a hairstyling dinglehopper Ariel grabs it and starts brushing her hair complete with a look of utter pride and satisfaction not often that we have such a lovely dinner guests the completely flabbergasted looks from Eric and Grimsby quickly make her realized that she's made a mistake albeit an innocent one these may be the funniest faces that Disney has ever animated they're just perfection it is rather is number four on up punches Hans frozen Oh Prince Hans of the Southern Isles Princess Anna of arendelle suffice it to say Anna and honza's relationship experiences quite a drastic evolution over the course of the film their initial meeting is cringe comedy perfection as Anna makes a total fool of herself by falling into the boat stumbling over her words and sighing in total adoration [Music] Hey I'm so sorry are you hurt she's just so adorably awkward that we instantly fall in love with both her and their relationship and by the end of the movie she's literally punching him square in the face and sending him flying into the water but she froze your heart the only frozen heart around here is yours it was immensely satisfying to watch and that little noise that Hans makes gets us laughing every time number three it's in that pot isn't it tangled when it comes to physical comedy you cannot beat the scene where Rapunzel attempts to hide Eugene in her closet things get even funnier when she hides his satchel and proudly proclaims that he'll never find it Oh Oh No where is my satchel I've hidden it somewhere you'll never find it it's in that pop isn't it of course he figures out where it is within two seconds prompting Rapunzel to knock him out so she can move it the whole exchange is hilariously edited and animated the quote-unquote camera zooms out to reveal the conspicuous pot it cuts to outside the tower and we hear the sound of the pan while the camera cuts to black it's a cute bit of filmmaking and it helps elevate what could have been a straightforward joke two towering heights now it's hidden where you'll never find it number two blonde throws her shoe Milan you took away my victory no I did well that's one way to get the attention of the big scary villain and Shawn you said to skewer li Shang Blonde literally throws her shoe at his head it's laughably absurd but hey it's not like Mulan had any other options it gets even funnier when we see Mulan scrambling to get her shoes back on after defiantly standing her ground and pulling her hair back to reveal the truth to shun you it's very funny to consider that this nefarious villains final losing battle kicked off with a shoe to the head Mulan can truly do it all climb a pole with weights start an avalanche with a cannon and throw Footwear with devastating accuracy not quite protip break out a dinglehopper at a dinner to break the ice if people don't like it they're not worth having in your life simple anyway before we laugh at the funniest Disney Princess moment let's take a look at some honorable mentions I can never get away with anything I'm the princess I'm the example I've got duties responsibilities expectations oh I forgot I put it away [Music] let's see hmm I'd say the first thing you need is that a thumb - well how do you do Miko now it's alright it's just a handshake here let me show you nothing's happening dumpkins okay what she doesn't know won't kill her right [Music] I am a horrible daughter I'm going back number one deconstructing princess tropes Ralph breaks the internet boy you boys know cursed no kidnapper enslave no are you guys it really doesn't get more meta than this and one is perhaps the most fanservice II moment ever put in a Disney movie not that we mind penelope meets all the classic disney princesses do you have daddy issues mom the scene wastes no time getting to the meta jokes as it quickly pokes fun at traditional Disney Princess tropes personalities and characteristics though we gotta mention the hilarious moment when Cinderella breaks her glass slipper to defend herself against the scary imposter right before we get to all the other stuff Penelope also serves as an important aspect of the meta as she embodies none of the tropes is a horrible singer and dreams about a steering wheel much to the shock of the other characters yep we've officially entered the postmodern phase of Disney and we are absolutely delighted to be a part of that world and
