with Arc survival ascended just around the corner we need to talk about the differences we will see from when Arc first release compared to the release of the new remaster Arc survival ascended we now know a lot more confirmed information so we will discuss the newest leaks we will discuss how the remaster of Arc will compare to day one Arc from 2015 today we are covering the top 10 differences from Arc survival evolve compared to Arc survival ascended in no particular order with the leaks that have come yes that's a water pun we now know that Ark survival sended is using a plugin called fluid ninja a plugin for Unreal Engine that makes the water look much more realistic we see waves and object interaction with the water and also possibly more physics with the sand and reactions what this will mean is that the ocean will be way more Dynamic and raft Adventures might feel very much like Arc sister game Atlas but let's take that with a grain of salt or an ocean of salt because Atlas has a pretty bad track record but the one thing it does well is the Water Dynamics and the physics where the waves interact with your boat or your raft in in ark's case I for one I'm looking forward to this because for a long time ark's water has been very one-dimensional this will shake things up and rock the boat what do you guys think of this change I'm really looking forward to it anything that makes the game feel fresh and alive and gives Arc survival ascended that value over Arc survival evolved I'm all here for it we need to get our money's worth from Ark survival ascended so let's hope this adds some value to it next up we have creature pathing fixers for the longest time Arc has had an issue with dumb dinos Dino pathing and creature pathing that can be outdone by a simple rock or Cliff making the risk of fighting ancient beasts easy for experienced players by simply trapping the AI with Arc survival ascended this will be supposedly fixed and what this means is the AI should be smarter and harder to escape and I hope this also means less dinos phasing through walls again this should make axv ascended feel more alive and add more risk to exploring the World Imagine if you couldn't get away from a raptor and couldn't get it stuck in a rock or jump off a cliff and it chase you on top of it this would make for some really Dynamic gameplay and really diversify Arc in my opinion while Jew has covered a lot of information make sure to give him a sub and he's got some quotes from jet discussing the improved nav mesh and saying the AI and Unreal Engine 5 is much better on Twitter there was a lot of people discussing how we'll no longer be able to escape from most of the AI so it means we'll have to fight it means the wild te won't just be background characters we'll actually have to be careful and take note of them I know a lot of people won't like and there's a lot of counters for most of the creatures to counter Raptors you simply need a bower so it just means we'll have to be prepared what do you guys think of this change let me know in the comments below I'd love to hear your thoughts with Arc survival ascented oh baby are there some big changes yep you heard it right babies are spawning in the Wild on the new revamp of Arc and what's more is that some of them are tamable jat on the arc Discord said that we will need to defeat the mommy and daddy Dino in combat to get the baby so this is a completely new set of mechanics and sounds amazing I'm sure it will be some sort of miname Puzzle Challenge and not just the old hack and slash we are used to at least that's what I hope it'll be but jet also further clarified that not all dinos will come as babies in the world so I'm guessing this might be some new Mechanics for certain creatures with aggressive parents like rexes or other carnivores but this sounds really cool and again just diversifies it makes the new revamp sound even more Dynamic imagine you're running through the forest and you suddenly come across a mommy and daddy Rex and their baby and with the new pathing you have to fight them it might be a real challenge to actually battle them now with the new AI path findinding as well you can fight them and tame them it's not just the same old knock this out breed it mechanics that we are used to it's definitely going to feel very fresh and different with this added into the mix what do you guys think of this mechanic next up we have the new mini map Edition so I'm guessing this will be a toggle on or off feature but we will be getting a mini map with hand zooms and pings so for PVP and PVE this would be great you might have tribe markers to Mark a position of a team that is knocked out so everyone can see it I mean we already have tracking anyway but still it's added visuals and marking enemy players in PvP could be really useful for PVP scenarios a lot of people are saying it could be like the survival of the fittest mini map marker and I don't like mini Maps personally I hope I can turn on or off cuz the less youu are on the screen the better but I think many will find this a great addition and it will be very help ful in a lot of ways for navigating across the ark especially if some new players start to join overall it fits in well with the visual overhauls we seem to be getting for arival ascended what do you guys think I think we're getting all of the quality of life additions that have popped up in ark's long history another big change for Ark 5 ascended is base render distance according to the devs plus 70% further render distance for bases popping in so for the longest time Arc has had isue would not been able to handle itself and what I mean by this is when a server had huge bases on it you could easily fly into their turret range because bases would only render when a player got quite close to them but with Leaps and Bounds in technology that Unreal Engine five has brought it means the bases will render 70% further out it seems so no longer should bases just pop in and out of view but they should be constantly there in your view before you fly into their turret range this will help with the immersion too as it was very strange to have the bases just vanish if you went too far away from them also for PVP we used to use this change to see inside bases at times as you can see through the walls at certain distances so this change will be great but I'm personally worried about performance issues but hopefully fingers crossed unre Engine 5 is streamlined enough to handle it what do you guys think does Unreal Engine 5 have enough changes in it that it can handle the amount of detail that Arc is going to have in it especially considering we don't have cryopods so there's going to be a lot of tames rendering in with the bases as well so it'll be very interesting to see how well the game can handle this as we still don't have the specs out for it yet next up we have the building system revamp with Arc survival ascended we are getting a full building overhaul firstly the new building pieces are a different size to previous Base building Parts as can be seen in the previews we got so far for ASA the new walls for instance are much higher and can easily accommodate the items like beds and fabricators in one level previously if you built one level higher walls in Arc you could barely see what you were doing and you could barely fit any of these items in and even if you could they weren't interactable so we had to build too high for function but now we can just build one high and it should function and the new textures on the base components look amazing we didn't even have stone tier on day one Arc originally but now we do the other thing that I think we'll get is a streamlined building system like s+ which makes building far more easier and convenient I'm hoping for a pin wheel style like Russ for crafting or even Atlas where you can change your wall piece to be a door or a window from one structure type means you don't have 10 different structure types in your inventory and makes the whole experience function more smoothly so it'll be interesting to see what people like Captain fat dog come up with with this new building system we are also getting some new structures like display cases small Tech teleporters and building pieces so maybe a personal teleporter instead of a huge dno teleporter what do you guys think of these building changes I'm personally really excited as I think it's going to make the game look a lot better than it used to next up we have stat changes no speed so in Arc survival ascended we are not going to be able to level up our speed so what this means is all players will be locked to the same speed on an even playing field I think the base speed of the character will be increased to compensate for this but I am super excited as for the longest time Arc has been very strange to watch for the Casual Observer with players zooming around at 200 plus movement speed it was a very Derpy and strange game game to watch if anyone wasn't aware of what was going on so I think slowing it down will make the game much more interesting and accessible for people to play and watch this combined with the new AI pathing will mean that you can no longer simply run away and ignore the wild teams of Arc I think the creatures in the wild will finally feel like a risk because of this I also wonder if we might get some set limits on health and other stats which I am all for because I like an even playing field I don't think players having higher level should give them a huge advantage over new players it should be more like Russ where players are equal but the gear is the difference and a low gear player can pipe shotgun a gear player and snowball I hope this helps bridge the gap what do you guys think of this change let me know below as I know it's very divisive next up we have Rono gatha available on day one this change is very controversial but we are getting ark's newest additional team and probably one of the most OP teams in Arc the rhinog gathia on day one of Arc survival ascended which is touted to be a primitive drop and there are many issues with this as it changes The Meta complet completely this team can single-handedly decimate a base as it's a bullet sponge and it can pick up rexes and other large teams and also helps with Base building by moving items around the issue here is that Arc survival ascended will be primitive at first and this team is too strong and unbalanced to fit with the Primitive mattera it'll easily dive bases and With No Cry pods it will probably easily pick up enemy creatures to steal so hopefully considering we still have time to Aca release this might get changed as this team will single-handedly ruin the balance of early game Arc in my opinion what do you guys think let me know in the comments below and saying this I really haven't played much Ark since the ran gatha was released so I haven't used it too much but from what I hear it is very broken let me know in the comments below next up we have new character model in Dino touchups so with ar survival Ascender being a remaster it's only logical that we get revamped and better looking assets so we have confirmation that the player model will be much better looking with the ability to add some derp still confirmed by Dolly but this will be great as Arc for the longest time has always suffered from ugly player syndrome the characters have always looked horrendous so now at least if we want a good-looking character we can do so and those that want the Derp can still choose that as well we are also obviously getting touch-ups on the creatures and new updated textures as can be seen by the Raptor which is the first ingame release screenshot so far which looks amazing so it looks like ASA will at least look great if nothing else and finally we come to Day One tech unlock able on Ark survival ascended when Ark first released it didn't have tech tech hadn't been added to the game at all but obviously as Arc evolved through Early Access eventually we got Tech so now on day one of the island Tech will be accessible and this means Tech gen and turret so primitive Arc may not last long at all but keep in mind it is slightly harder to farm element on the island than the later DLCs the devs may have even buffed the boss fights we don't know yet but it remains to see that this might be a big departure from from the Primitive Arc of old I would honestly be happy if we had a week or two of delay on Tech availability just to enjoy the Primitive side of Arc again for what it is without the tech additions but it seems we are still getting it day one so the sweaty Alphas will take over and Primm lock the smaller tribes as per usual what do you guys think of this change let me know down below so these are the top 10 differences we'll see from when Arc originally released with the island back in 2015 hopefully with all these changes we get our money's worth for paying for AR twice with the remaster Arc survivalist ended
