TOP 10 AWESOME Kenshi Mods In 2020 You Didn't Know You Needed

[Music] hey guys i'm kirk here today i wanted to showcase a couple of kenshi mods for 2020 that you might have never used or even heard of but once you play with them you'll never want to get rid of them again note that i'm not affiliated with any of the mod creators and i'm not promoting these mods because i was asked to all of these mods are mods i enjoy playing with and have done so for a while in fact if you watch any of my playthroughs in the past then you've probably seen all of these mods in action before also you can find steam workshop links for all of them in the description below now without further ado let's begin [Music] first on the list is one of the best overhaul mods out there kenshi kaizo the mod adjusts and tweaks a million little details in kenji adding a huge amount of content while not deviating far from the vanilla world if you're looking for a bit of a challenge then you'll be glad to know the overall difficulty is slightly increased various bandits and creatures can be found all over the world making otherwise relatively safe zones more dangerous the world feels more alive that way and there's also a bigger variety of random new characters to be found around to fight recruit or trade with if you're a warmonger kaiser also adds a lot of new world state overrides meaning that towns and settlements will often change hands if certain leaders get defeated unlike in vanilla kenshi where big changes only happen to certain bigger cities in short kanshi kaizo is huge and adds so much more than i can explain in a single video just give it a try if you're like me and love beating up high level prisoners to level up your new recruits but you hated how much resting is required in between training sessions to heal up all those broken limbs then this next mod is going to be right up your alley training weapons vendor adds a you guessed it a vendor to a couple of settlements where you can purchase training weapons and equipment these weapons deal no damage so you can have your rookies and prisoners spar forever as long as you can keep them fed and they'll level up their skills without the need to rest in between of course the mod can ruin the whole what doesn't kill you makes you stronger aspect of kenshi but even for you purists it can still be useful tool to retrain someone's skills if you want to switch their main weapon from let's say katanas to hackers without too much of a hassle if you want to ensure cyber beep becomes the chattiest chad in the world and get all the beautiful female human ladies then you have to outfit him with all the new precious and totally not overpowered prosthetics added by joey's limbs overhaul it adds over 30 new limbs that are generally a stronger variation of the vanilla limbs more powerful but also a lot more expensive of course this is kenshi so you can still steal everything that is nailed down and get your team running faster than other big things in no time it also adds special unique limbs to various skeleton bosses that you can appropriate after defeating them my favorite part of the mod though is that it rotates the limp icons based on them being right or left so you can quickly tell them apart while you're filling your backpack full of stolen prosthetics watching starving bandits beat the living shazam out of your squad is always a satisfying thing to see but if you want to really spice things up in combat then more combat animations is the mod for you it adds a huge variety of new animations for every weapon class in game and some for martial arts as well now your man can charge at your enemies with a bunch of new combos and dab on the viables trying to steal your food if you install the extended edition of the mod you get to watch people roll fall slide and all kinds of new animations as they get whacked in combat just keep in mind you'll need to follow the instructions on their steam page to properly set it up if you like beep's interactions with his comrades and the world and would love to see more unique conversations then dialogue expansion project is the mod you're looking for it has hundreds and hundreds of new speech lines that are used by npcs all over the world of kanji making it feel alive as you visit different towns and interact with people factions now have unique dialogues and the author is still working on adding more and more to the game not just for generic faction npcs but also for many unique characters it's one of those mods that spice up the role-playing aspect of the game and i couldn't recommend it more [Music] and here we come to one of my favorite kenshi mods stronger group combat this mod makes every npc in the world much stronger and harder to defeat roaming bandit groups are generally larger and have more boss-like npcs animals are beefed up as well and drop less meat on average going into the fog lands is now a guaranteed death sentence as the fog men have been significantly buffed and can outrun even the fastest beep robotic enemies are also much spicier and security spiders will seriously mess up even your veteran's squads but with higher risk comes higher reward defeating bandits now gives you a bigger chance to upgrade your gear some robotic spiders now also drop ai cores and bosses might possess unique weapons all in all it's one of the best mods for those that want a bigger challenge in kenshi and my personal favorite now to a more of a quality of life mod slowplus is a must-have for anyone that wants to build a natural looking base in kenshi it doesn't want to revert to in-game editor to level up buildings on uneven terrain now you can create sprawling cities that stick to the landscape instead of going all wiggly wobbly and sideways like in vanilla if you're brave enough you can also push buildings inside of hills or mountains and create your own petra but beware the developer does not guarantee the pathing is going to work properly in those buildings but i mean it's kanshi after all when does the pathing actually work anyway do you think humans look a bit too weak for the brutal world of kinshi make them look like savage barbarians with bread knots face paints this mod adds a number of new face paints for greenlanders and scorchlanders both male and female alike that will make your squad stand out from the run of the middle holy nation citizens perfect if you want to roleplay as a vikings invaders or just get into touch with your inner cannibal there's plenty of mods that modify and add new faces but one can never go wrong with a good old face paint [Music] getting that shiny new weapon upgrade is one of the best feelings in kenji but after a while you've seen them all you've used them all and you always return to that good old faithful throw new weapons dissemination mod into the mix and suddenly you have a huge variety of new weapons to play with from badass two-handed heavy weapons that fit a shag berserker like a glove to topper like maguro kiri's perfect for slicing fishermen for lakes going to hunt leviathans how about a leviathan slayer a sword taller than crumble drone and thicker than your mom there are also may 2 versions of all the new weapons some wielded by bosses you know and some by a variety of new npcs that populate the world most npcs now also use these new weapons which might raise the difficulty a bit higher beware the venge and hordes of thralls with razor sabers if you're a squishy flesh made human it also adds a new banded faction that evolves as you destroy more vanilla bandits and outfits the whole world with fitting new weapons and best of all weapons actually feel like they fit into kitchen don't have that new shiny and totally not post-apocalyptic look that many weapon mods have when i started my new kenshi series last week i was surprised how many of my viewers never heard of kenshi genesis before also known as project genesis in the past it is a complete world overhaul and a work of whole modern community dedicated to making the kenshi 1.5 i've covered genesis in a dedicated video a year ago but much has changed since then in short the aim of genesis is a complete overhaul of the world of kenji fusing a great number of existing mods together and used in them as a framework to build and expand upon this adds a huge amount of new towns new factions new bounties to pursue and new treasures to find there are also certain factions that will send you in quests or ask you for your help to seize your city one of the biggest allures of kenshi when you first play it is to explore the world unfortunately after you played for over a thousand hours like me you've seen every place many times over but genesis not only adds new places which makes the world exploration exciting again it also heavily edits the vanilla cities places like admak now truly feel like a proper capital and exploring them once again is extremely exciting of course all of this would not be possible if it weren't all built on the foundation of many smaller mods that were made by different modders over the years but the mod team is not just using these separate mods to create a loose conglomerate of content that doesn't really fit together they're working on seamless interactions via unique features like new events new towns npcs and kingdoms to connect the world into one huge flawlessly working mechanism a drag kit the best mod ever created for kenji and as it's still a work in progress we can expect so much more from it that's all i've prepared for today i hope you found some of these mods
