Timing is Everything (Part 2/2) | Pastor Robert Cuencas

hey everybody welcome and thank you for tuning in for the way world outreach sermon we believe God is going to highly impact your life so kick back relax and let's get ready to hear the word of God oh this is a title you can write down timing is everything how many of you last week with us timing is everything right at the end of service I didn't get to finish the the sermon pastor Marco says why didn't you just do part two next week and so that's what we're gonna do but for the ones how many were not here last week I'm gonna do a really quick review timing is everything I played a lot of sports I gave an example last week on my plate honey ever played baseball I played it just the junior college level on the fastest fastball that I faced was 95 and that was fast there's guys in the major leagues I showed it last week on there's guys that throw 100 100 and 300 400 5 the record right now is by Aroldis Chapman he threw a ball a few years ago at 106 miles per hour now that's scary I see the ball 95 at Chaffey college that was fast that's scary especially when it gets near your head when the ball is flying near head that could get really scary to hit a baseball it takes almost perfect timing I said last week it's a it's a it's a round bat with a round ball you gotta hit a square and it takes time in football how many never play football it takes time in for a quarterback to throw it 40 yards to a wide receiver at the spot where he catches it it takes perfect timing look at this first scripture in Cleveland 8th verse 6 you read this last week yes there's a right time so I most say there's a right time how many there have been at the wrong place at the wrong time the Bible says here yes there's a right time and there's a way for everything even though unfortunately we miss it from most of the part there's a lot of times I really believe this year pastor Marco in the church we have declared this is going to be the year of fulfillment I'm near agreement with that Mexico church is already kicking off pretty soon we found a building in Mexico we're assigning the clock actually today the Spanish pastor signed the contract on our new building in Tijuana Mexico today we signed the contract we're gonna kick it off in March if we get closer we'll give you an exact opening day but the year fulfilment is already there we're believing that this year God is gonna really set you up look at your neighbor and tell them you're about to be set up this year you better get ready how many love to be set up by God I love it we discussed last week look at the definition of timing timing the ability to select the precise moments for doing something for an optimum effect the ability to select a precise moment for doing something for the optimum effect it's all about the timing I thank God that Pastor Marco heard from God and when he heard from God to start the weight rolled outreach he didn't procrastinate but he started the weight world outreach how we are happy to Pastor Marco started this thing with God's honey as ever God has told you something or even in life you've procrastinate it I was one of the worst students in school when I went to college I was even worse when I when I graduated high school with the Chaffey college and in college if you get D's and F's that's unacceptable they kind of let you know hey this is not working for you let's just find something else when I went to Chaffey college my first my first semester I had two these in one F the counselor came in and said Robert okay this is working out for you too well and you're paying all this money if I was you I'd probably pick something else and if this continues you know you really can't go to school here this is unacceptable because I had a problem with procrastination I don't know if you know if you have a problem like that I I would wait for the very last minute to study for the test the night before without reading any of the material without studying anything well I didn't do too well on tests I had to learn the procrastination just causes a lot of stress waiting for the last minute to do things and God is a God of timing he's a God of so Lynch and I thank God that we have a pastor that that hears from God and and he hears from God and he moves and I I pray for you and I then we hear from God and we move little bit of review we talked about last week there are things that we have to move fast in and there are some things we're gonna discuss this week then we need to slow it up a little bit a little bit of review from last week what do we need to move fast and how many have two notes you guys got it what was it let me see who had it from lastly anybody all right we got a few people when should we move fast write this down if you were here last week write this down when should we move fast number one when God tells me to do something when a command goes forth when he gives instructions we got to move fast we got to move immediately when do we move someone say immediately mark 1:17 do you say come follow me I'll make you fish at her people so Simon Andrew immediately left their nets and followed it's all about timing there's a time to move fast there's a time to move slow the first thing they'll move fast and when God tells us to do something I remember about ten years ago God told me to do something and I was procrastinating a little bit and it was witnessed into a young lady by the name of um of Erika some of you guys might have heard this story in our membership class I've shared it a few times I remember the timing of God during this time I was witnessing to a girl by the name of Erika and and it wasn't going too well I would say hey come to church you know try to tell her about God well got to the point where I got on their nerves and she told me this quit telling me about God I don't want to hear it anymore you ever had anybody like that where you're witnessing and they kind of say hey that's enough why backed off for a little bit and I didn't tell her anything I didn't tell her anymore you know come to church or or hey you need God I just backed off well months had passed and we were during Christmas season and I remember I got a phone call I get 7:30 in the morning and I answered it and it was it was her number and what she did back then she was a manager of a transitional house the people that were on drugs people struggling so I seen the number and I my gosh that's Erica she wants to come to church so I picked it up and it wasn't Eric it was a guy on the floor and he what's up he goes why Erica told me I live at the transitional home Erica told me that if I called you'd pick me up to go to church can someone pick me up I'd love to go check out your church and see yeah that's awesome so I went to her house and I remember the guy he goes to my car I'll never forget this day talk about timing when God tells you to do something do it fast so she's at the door the guy hops in my car the Holy Spirit tells me this ask her one more time to go to church and I said no God I'm not gonna ask her she told me that's enough and I put you ever try to argue with God that doesn't work I put my car and drive I drove off and the Holy Spirit said go ask her one more time to go to church this time you're gonna ask her she's gonna say yes how many know timing is everything so I pull the car around and and I knock at the door she answers what do you want and that that's not a good conversation when it starts off that way I had to get a little creative that that Sunday in particular we were giving away Christmas presents because we're about a week shy so I I said look Erica if you come today you'll get some Christmas presents I'll even give you some extra I know the pastor he's my brother I'm gonna hook you up so she goes up all right I'll go long story short miss hops in the car we go to church and pastor Marcos minister in that day and we have a time at the end of service where we give every everyone an opportunity to receive Christ and pastor Marcus okay an account of three raise your hands you want to give your life to God and she was sitting right behind me this one our old building fourth an arrowhead I'll sit in the front and as soon as he said raise your hand I look back guess who was raising her hand Erica erica raises her hand and I said okay god that's good she raised her hand but now continued just pressing upon her heart just to surrender her life to you God so the end of service okay come on up you want to receive God man Erica came up and she's just and crying she gave her life to Jesus right there at the altar but you talk about tiny two days pass and we're Christmas Eve I'm at the honey baked ham place on Second Street getting a ham for Christmas and I'm waiting this big ol lining and all of a sudden I get a call and and I said hello and they said hey this is detective so-and-so and I said I'm detective now for a detective to call you on Christmas Eve that's either well it's all bad for a second here my life just started passing through my thoughts I said oh my gosh my pass came up on me what's going on why is this detective calling me on Christmas Eve beside the detective how can I help you and he said do you know Erika Munoz and I say yeah sure do that's how can I help you he goes well last night her boyfriend stabbed her to death just like you heart just sunk that's what do you mean she got stabbed into the things well you're gonna see it on the news and it was a gruesome death her boyfriend came over to get an argument and he stabbed her to death right in front of her house so why you calling me he so I'm just trying to find some family of hers and trying to connect with her family to let him know what happened and she was actually adopted like whatever I told look she's adopted I don't know where her family's that and I just hung up the phone I called pastor Marcus oh man guess who died I'm yesterday he goes who I said Erika munos he goes Erika yeah the girl that I brought the church on Sunday she died and we were just kind of crying over the phone and finally you know God kind of hit me was like mixed emotions and pastor Marcus said wait a minute Rob she got saved she gave her life to Jesus she's in heaven with God she made it when God tells you to do something do it immediately I didn't know that Erika had 48 hours to live I didn't know that God was gonna call her home when God said something do it immediately someone say immediately what else do we do fast review last week when I need to ask or offer forgiveness there's a time to move fast or the time to move slow when I need to ask forgiveness the Bible says in Matthew 5 23 do it immediately number 3 review when do we move fast when I feel tempted the Bible says in 1st Timothy 6 11 to run from these evil things run fast away from seeing them review number 4 when should I move fast when I have an opportunity to do good there's a timing for everything when temptation comes I move fast when there's an opportunity to do something good I move fast when I see somebody in need I move fast give it up for our street teams our ministry team that go out in the streets and seeing needs and meeting needs and moving fast give yourselves a hand because we have an amazing church that sees needs and they move fast this is when we move fast and number five we mentioned this last week when God offers me salvation it's time to move fast the Bible says in 2nd Corinthians chapter 6 verse 2 at just the right time I heard you on the day of salvation I helped you indeed the right time is now today is the day of salvation when salvation comes upon you when Jesus is knocking on your door open your heart fast opening immediately God wants to come into your life that's when we move fast now here's a new stuff when do we move slower there's a time to move fast there's a time to move slow here's number 1 we move slow when I'm hurt or angry when should we move slow when I'm hurt or angry don't make decisions when you're hurt or angry Oh a pup that will pop up there goes up the radius laughing was it huh huh all are you hungry oh wait I'm hungry uh-oh and you're hungry you move fast when I'm hurt don't make decisions when you're hurt or angry don't leave with Shahab don't leave Church don't leave a relationship when you're hurt or angry don't confront someone when you're hurt or angry hommies ever said something when you were hurt or angry hey whoa okay slow down now slow down so have you ever been hurt or angry and you said something that you regret when you're slower angry at that time it's time to back up a little minute and slow down for a second how many are married in this house how means married and your spouse hit a couple buttons once in a while that's a trick question you probably shouldn't answer they give you in trouble how many thing remains you ain't someone a co-worker just made you and currying you you start to mouth off and you say things that you just how many went off this week on somebody that's be honest that's a trick question put your hands down we're like a hundred hands Lord we pray right now for our congregation Jesus look the Bible says in James 1:19 my dear brothers sisters take note of this everyone should be quick to listen slow to speak and slow to become angry slow to become angry when should we be slow overheard we're angry slow it down a second there's sometimes you got to take it you're gonna take a 10-second timeout if you're like me sometimes you gotta take a 10-minute timeout it's okay before I say something stupid let me just chill for a second and that person is just still pushing your button they're saying things and mouthing off and when you're angry slow it down the Bible says this in proverbs 14 29 people with understanding control their anger a hot temper shows great foolishness I've been a fool when I've been angry before I've said things to Veronica I shouldn't have said there's things I've said to people I shouldn't have said and and I don't know about you sometimes it's like a boiling just hot I don't know one of those going on in our bodies and also we just go off at times and God is saying look you got to slow it down you got to slow it down the second give your cares to God give your burdens to God give those worries to God give those people to God I mean though God cares and loves for us so we don't make rash decisions when we're angry or hurt well I believe in the church I'm upset someone took my parking today someone got mad I'm just some set right now I'm leaving this relationship I'm leaving oh honey you ain't gonna see me for two days I'm just mad I'm out of here husbands we don't leave the house wives we don't leave the house because we're upset you're married and we make this statement even though I married you my mama was right I shouldn't have married you then you throw your momma in that mix now your mom is all up in the mix because now you're hurt and you're angry and you're saying things that are inappropriate God is saying there's a time to be fast but there's a time to be slow when are we slow when you're hurt angry take a breathe it's okay I give my cares to you I give my cares to you how many yet some seriously let's be honest how many had some cares just walking into this building today just a little just cares and just worried about some things and can you put your hands up just keep your hands on for a second well that's that's a lot of people in this okay Deanna first said keep it up let's pray for you for a min I like handling business right now father we just put our we put our cares to you right now Jesus you're watching online right now we pray for the peace of God to come on this room people that are worried and may be stressed out and getting angry about things god I thank you there goes all the way in that back row with the Hat God's touching you right there sir God is touching you right there there goes every care every worry somebody's made you really upset they badmouth you they talked about you they stabbed you in the back we pray for our enemies we pray for those people and we pray for peace right now in the name of Jesus across Facebook across online we pray for the peace of God right now in the name of Jesus we thank you though for your peace that surpasses all understanding right now there's things that somebody's going through right now you don't understand it you're almost ready to quit and God and say don't quit I got you right where I want you baby don't quit I got you I love you give the Lord a big shout of praise today for peace receive his peace receive his peace and his love and its care so when do we slow down slow it down number two when do we slow down when making major decisions you've got to slow it down slow it down when you're about to make a major decision maybe it's a major purchase buying a car buying a house credit card purchases man I've been there done that relationships slow it down when it's a major decision how do I know these things are affecting us how do I know we're moving too fast the new report just came out today yesterday CNN America's debt hedge has just reached 22 trillion dollars can you put that on the screen did I give you that number and don't put hungry or anything put something to write on that was probably my note ello spell - well sorry take a picture of this man this is insane and this is insane in the membrane how's old song insane in the membrane dude this is out of control I'll tell you the problem you want to blame the government that's fine whatever you want to do you know who we blame I blame myself I'm part of this mess you're part of the - thank you sister you're honest Thank You Love even there thanks for not leaving me hanging thank you how do I know we're moving too fast on major things 22 trillion dollars in debt let me break it down for a generation Z 18 to 2024 who's in Generation Z raise your hands Millennials 18 to 24 average debt 22,000 that's just average that's low to average older Millennia's how many 25 to 34 42,000 average debt so Millennials if you don't get it right you're headed for 42 mm here's me Generation X 35 to 49 average 39,000 average debt we don't think before we buy we don't think before we buy it and I'm guilty of it we slow it down when it comes to major decisions look at the baby boomers how many baby boomers in the house yeah you're afraid to raise your hands now I know baby boomers age 50 plus 36,000 average debt making decisions too fast major decisions slow it down the Bible says in Luke 14 28 if you want to build a tower if you want to build a tower you're building something you're building the business you're about to make a purchase you first sit down and decide how much it will cost to see if you have enough money to finish the job I'm about to make a major purchase I'm about to make a decision slow it down can I afford this can I afford this car can I afford this house can I afford this and you know really believe you know in church especially when even when it comes to giving I really believe I believe it I believe everybody wants to give everybody wanted wants to help a poor person out I really believe that but you know what calls the shots a lot of times it's our debt that calls the shots oh no you can't give how you gonna make that payment you you can't do that how you gonna afford that bill how many know if you don't get the debt in control you'll become a slave the Bible says this in Proverbs 22:7 the rich rule over the poor and the bauer is a slave to the lender someone say slow it down we slow it down when it's major decision time what about spouses what about relationships slow it down slow it down that there's a there's a thing the world says is we'll just follow your heart that's not good I'll just follow your heart man what is your heart if your heart is saying yeah just do it what is your heart telling you that's the worst advice anybody could ever give you how do I know that look at Jeremiah 17:9 the human heart is the most deceitful of all things lordy help us the human heart is the most deceitful of all things and desperately wicked so when someone says to just follow your hearts like I follow my heart my heart is wicked my heart is evil we don't follow our heart will follow emotions we follow Jesus we follow the Holy Spirit Holy Spirit says don't move we don't move Holy Spirit says go and we go we listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit can listen to my heart can listen to my emotions how many singles in the house you're not married ladies the dude the dude pop he pulls up in a nice car so what it seems like he's got his act together man we don't make it no major decision without write this down really quick don't make any major decision until you have all the facts in front of you first so if you're dating see that person when things are not going good see that person when when life is not going ask plans and you're gonna see what you got I don't know about you the dating world is kind of it's like a fake world it's fake how do I know it's fake what when I was with I talk to Veronica but when you're dating you have either been dating before you've dated somebody the guy is on the phone for three hours with you you hang up no you hang up no I hang up you hang up look girls when you get married you might get one phone call from your hubby that week you got a back to you you got him to talk to you let's go to the Opera don't do it all day when the dating my girls ain't gonna offer when you get married it's a kind of a fake world in the sense I want to see that person or life's not doing too well I want to see that person how they deal with tough situations because any major decision I want to oh I got to slow it down to make sure I'm making a proper decision help I don't know about you I don't want to make any more dumb mistakes anybody like me I'm like I've said double pop got dumped done with that so slow it down slow it down be patient for God's timing I mean Oh God's timing is perfect so number one what's number one when should we slow it down not-not-not not hungry say it again what's up fortuyn should we slow it down a little bit here's number three when I'm waiting for a seed I've planted to grow when do I slow it down when I'm waiting for a seed when I'm waiting for see that plant to grow the Bible tells me very clearly eight Genesis 8 22 while the earth remains seed time and harvest cold and heat went to the different seasons I slow it down when I'm weighted that took my mom to the doctor's today and it's tough taking her to the doctors it kind of drains me sometimes because you see my mom going through what she's going through her liver is not doing too well because of the chemo that she took and so some of her liver is not acting good so last week they had a jury Nora I took her today her stomach was out to here when I picked her up today her legs are massively swollen we had to get her in my car and took her to the doctor and they they took out almost 5 liters of fluid in her stomach I'm picking her up trying to get on my car and she's in pain I could tell she's a pain she's trying to pick her legs up for negs are all swollen it hurts it hurts the dog jumped honors I feel some of the pain is kind of draining we gotta make sure the plant seeds of Prayer we plant seeds of income there's it this little time there's some times that you're waiting upon God and God's timing is perfect that's what this message is all about it's going fast when we have to and slowing it down be patient on god's timing to bring the harvest you're trying to promote yourself at your job you're trying to prove to your boss who you are you don't got to prove to anybody who you are motion comes from gods don't not be mistaken when God says something it will come to pass let's get a load a big shout of praise for that tell your neighbor just wait it's coming tell the person behind you just wait it's coming well pastor I gave twenty dollars last week in God and do nothing this week past I'll know about that time I've been given for a year I haven't seen nothing I'm not saying that God can't do rapid stuff but a lot of times we're almost treating God like a genie just work this work that work this work that work just a microwave society where you work everything I gots ain't just chill a lot of times even that promotion you're trying to get at the job a lot of times and I've been there we want it but in reality we're still not ready for it the character hasn't got there yet the integrity hasn't gone through yet got still working on things and money if God gave you a million dollars right how many would love a million dollars they're not the awesome that would solve a lot of problems I could pay my house off how many want to pay their house off here's a reality here's a reality most of us can't handle a million dollars man we'll blow that stuff in three weeks we go buy the Cadillac Escalade four hundred thirty thousand that would be nice nice Escalade hundred thirty thousand then we go buy a car for 900 900 thousand and all your money's gone a lot of times we can't even handle the things guys trying to give it God is saying just slow it down I'm bringing a Harvard Habakkuk 2:3 at the time I have decided at the time when who's decided it's almost say God's timing is perfect say that again we got to get that God's timing is at the time I have decided my words will come true you can trust what I say about the future it may take a long time but keep on waiting it will happen come you know it will happen God is not a God that he lies he stands by his word when he says something he will do it trust God Isaiah 26:3 you keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you I want to trust in God's timing not mine proverbs 20 or psalms 28 7 the Lord is my strength of my shields I trust him with all my heart he helps me and my heart is filled with joy I burst out in songs of thanks given the Lord is saying slow it up a little bit major decisions slow it up a little bit slow it up there's things that move fast these things we gotta move slow maybe you're here today and you're frustrated about a few things and you're saying when is God gonna come through maybe with this job with this person and with this ministry God says I got it right there it's okay just stay faithful stay stay encouraged stay stay with a good attitude stay servants they stay helping people say when you're helping people you're serving people God has always told me this a youth pastor told me a long time ago is Rob all you got to do is take care of people and God will take care of you all you got to do is take care of people God will always take care of you my favorite scripture in the Bible is Matthew 6:33 seek ye first the kingdom of God is right and he will add everything unto you all I got to do is serve God and love God and serve people I'll say it again all I got to do is love God and serve God and serve people and his timing everything will work out we wanted to start churches around the world International and I was getting a little c'mon let's go at times I told Pastor Mark come on let's go let's just go start something he said not there bro I like that just chill for a second man it's all God's time in I was even thinking about Mexico how did Mexico come up I've thought about different countries but not particularly I just didn't think about it how did that come up God's time in pastor Martinez in Los Angeles that's the pastor who's gonna be leading it he's in Los Angeles his pastor dies he was there for over 20 years in Los Angeles his pastor dies Church kind of breaks apart he doesn't know where to go well God knows where he's gonna go how did he end up at the way from LA his niece comes here his niece goes uncle you talk about a good church that that's on the streets and moving you got to come here he's I've been to churches out in the hall I love my old pastor man so he just kept on doing ministry finally he made it here God's timing loves I didn't know he was an audience he's there one day loves it too much down the road I get a call hated the guy Spanish pastor he's here he wants to talk to you I said okay I'll talk to him met with him and he goes hey my name is pastor Marty my wife Martha and we come from Los Angeles pastor died nice comes here I ended up here I love your church I saw well thank you I love much I love the church - he is blood let me go a little further God's calling me to start a ministry in Mexico I've been evangelizing for over 20 years in Mexico hitting the streets hidden all the prisons in Mexico he said now God told me to start something and he goes I want you guys to help me start it I see you sure yes yeah you guys are the church that's what that falls in line with our vision the wave world outreach international that falls in line I said well take me to Mexico go some what you're talking about I mean a couple guys me and Joe are pretty mission went out there first ago to go Scout the lands nothing mom though we're there first our joel was the first time you were there I said wow the need is great he looks at me so I told you man we got to start it fast call pastor Marcus dude the harvest is right we're thinking about Pomona first all of a sudden Mexico's coming first sometimes you're thinking this way and it's a different direction why goddess Sedna is pomona complement is coming Elly's coming Detroit's coming Chicago's come up Agassi no you're going to Mexico first and when you follow God's time and all of a sudden someone gives us a house that could fit 70 guys here you could keep peeking out of it here's 10 years 10 years you've got to pay no rent here do you want it 10 years no rent do you want it when you're in God's time in everything flows smooth when you're trying to go ahead of God all hell breaks loose Tommy's ever been there try go ahead I've got I'm gonna make this happen I'll make that job happen I'm gonna make this minister epic no just hold just hold just just wait just wait just wait God's tying it is perfect can you give God a big shout of praise he's awesome Wow what's that such an amazing word from God that we just heard now before we go can I pray with you really quick god I just thank you for the person on the other side of this lands god I pray that they continue to watch these sermons god I pray that you continue to reveal yourself to them God and we'll reveal your purpose in their life in Jesus name I pray amen now if you believe that this word has impacted
