This is Why I Have Never Bought a Brand New RV

[Music] I have been rving my entire life and I don't think I have ever bought a brand spanking new RV I've always bought pre-owned RVs I'm Haley from RV pioneers and today I'll be going over a few reasons why I have never bought a brand new RV and always choose pre-owned the first and most important reason is the price you will be spending a lot less money on a pre-owned RV than you would on a brand new RV the price of a brand new RV just about halves as soon as you drive it home which brings me to my second reason that I only buy pre-own and that is the depreciation of brand new RVs since the price of the pre-owned RV is probably half of what the original owner bought it for there's not much more that it can drop in value as long as you're taking good care of it plus if you have about over 30,000 miles on the RV as well the depreciation becomes a lot more gradual the last reason that I always buy pre-owned is because you can do a quick Google search of the RV that you're looking at and find out all of the common problems that they have and this is just typical to RVS the manufacturers don't always figure it out the first time but the people who buy them and use them will figure out all of those issues so the RV that you're looking at you can actually see if that person has fixed those common issues already to where you will not have to deal with those common issues I like to think of it as other people trying out and reviewing the RV before you actually decide to take it the only downside that I have really found to buying pre-own is you can't always find all of the damage that the previous owner has caused to the RV as quick as you're buying it for example with this RV that I own right now the previous owner put aftermarket wheels on it and I didn't realize it at first during the test drive but as I was driving it more they were causing steering wheel Shake I thought it was like an alignment issue or something basic like that and I took it to about three different shops until somebody figured it out that it was the aftermarket wheels causing the shaking and so they kind of just readjusted the wheels so they fit better with the aftermarket wheels and everything was fine then but it was a huge hassle that nobody could figure out for a while overall I always like buying pre-owned over brand new RVs there are a few benefits to buying them brand new such as you might get a warranty or you don't have the previous owner possibly causing damage to anything yet however the big price difference difference and the fact that it's not depreciating in value by half as soon as you drive it off the lot makes buying pre-owned totally worth just those couple of little things if you like this video don't forget to subscribe because we will be releasing more awesome content on our being
