This is my New BEST Combo in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

this is my new favorite combo in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe King Boo on the teddy buggy roller and Cloud glider and here are the stats oh we have a wiggler on wiggler I respect it oh King booing Striker okay that's almost the same combo I'm using so uh I feel like I'll have to explain myself here I used to use Peach Teddy buggy same stats as Yoshi Teddy buggy I was just using Peach to not use Yoshi because everyone uses Yoshi but King Boo has always been one of my favorite characters and uh actually before the Wave 4 balance changes when King Boo was still like not top tier but like close to top tier I I use King boot my main uh was King Boo on Mr scooty and that's actually the last main I had I I don't have a main combo anymore I just play whatever combo I feel like oh geez but yeah King Boo one of my favorite characters such a cute character and the reason I'm going King Boo is because kingbu compared to Yoshi has a two point increase in speed but is missing two mini turbo however um I'm kind of coming around to speed as an important stat I used to go all mini turbo just because it was the most fun but okay let's do some bagging here chain all these mushrooms okay so uh King Boo is good at bagging a fast characters fast vehicles are good at bagging because all the speed items depend on your speed stack so uh I'm not just gonna like bag all the time that's not the point I'm not always gonna be waiting in the back for good items but uh on some tracks especially like Sunset Wilds as I'm gonna try to show you right here let's get this item take some shortcuts bagging is just broken on some tracks because you pretty much guarantee you're at 10 coins while you make it to a decent spot on lap three and like look I have a mushroom in first place if I front ran this whole thing I probably would have got hit by a blue shell or Red Shell at some point and I would not have a mushroom right now to particularly dodger blue shell spoke it into existence there's a blue shell foreign that deleted all my bananas okay Nintendo put me in a room with 8 000 players I'm just gonna find another room yeah you can see that Teddy buggy roller is still the meta uh although the character choice is definitely more flexible now we have a Yoshi obviously but uh Tanuki Mario is almost the same stats so yeah we have a lot more character variety oh I can't believe I made it through that shortcut what I'm in first okay I really need this double item box though I should be able to get it because I'm in first banana okay I'm gonna Trail this person's really close to me coins oh nice nice I hit them they could have hit me with their Red Shell uh as a trail as well so I'm glad I got that one out first oh no what I landed on the track uh I almost didn't lose time okay wow that's uh all right all right fine fine I'll do it I'll I'll bag okay so this is why you uh don't need the acceleration stats uh I'm gonna try and prove it right here I'm pretty good at Mario Kart Stadium I'm gonna start bagging for some items I look like I'm way behind oh I messed up that chain actually it doesn't even matter um okay golden mushroom I'm gonna try to get some coins here it's very hard to get coins on this track luckily some people drop some coins right here I'm just gonna wait for an item hit more coins wow people dropping coins everywhere those coins aren't supposed to be there okay so you get your coins up for your speed and then um if if you're if you're good at motion platter here like I am uh then you just do a little bit of cheating okay I kind of mess it up at the end um okay I'm still quite far behind but uh it is Mario Kart Stadium and I can cheat at the end so uh I'm gonna hopefully get a better item here bullet nice okay so I'm trying to prove a point here this is why you don't need acceleration I got hit a bunch at the start and it doesn't matter I just stopped racing okay you don't need acceleration watch this watch this wow I almost won I was frames away from winning you see what I mean bagging is so good on some tracks and I can't just lower my speed stat and Nerf myself all right we're on cheese land um you know what I'm not gonna bag today I'm gonna try to run cheese land and show you guys what happens when you try to run cheese land all right I'm gonna try this true most shortcut okay I couldn't do it wow lost a lot of time there and everyone's passing me okay I'm not gonna try and run cheese land from eighth please forgive me I'm just gonna start bagging now oh I should have done this from the beginning but it doesn't matter you know uh until 30 seconds nothing matters I have some coins I'm gonna get this item box see what items I get oh crazy eight and bullets okay I mean the Crazy Eight is not important it's more about the bullet I guess I can blooper everybody as I uh chain into this item step two waste your items until you get the bullet and another last place item a shock oh no do I just win I'm so happy I bagged I am so happy about this ah never run cheese land never ever wrenched I just dodged the shock with a shock uh I definitely win I definitely win I have a shock in first place congratulations you've just smuggled a broken item into first place ah this is exactly what you're supposed to do on cheese land I have a huge lead wow where do you where do I even use this rock so I'm scared someone else shocks me or a boost deals it you know what I'm just gonna chain it yeah almost no one dodged it some people were in the glider but hopefully I just shocked people's bullets out of them like if someone else is going to do the bullet extension hopefully this got rid of it let's see if anyone else does the bullet extension okay okay so some people are still coming up to that point but my lead is huge right now and like the slap three this is lap three okay so we have a few people using a bullet but I don't think they use the extension maybe one person did oh red shots oh mushrooms two red shows I can defend oh wow you're wow I just got first place that was the best first place ever I smuggled a shock into first place you know what I've never smuggled a shock this far the furthest I've smuggled a shock is to second place and that was also with King Boo I must just be a real king boom Hane speaking of bagging Yoshi circuit this is also such a backing track I'm not gonna do it I I'm not intending for this video to just become a bagging compilation just because I'm saying like the speech ad is good for bagging but if I get destroyed like I did on Mario Kart Stadium I will start bagging because it's such a viable strategy on this track I don't like bagging all the time I think it's kind of it feels cheesy I'm gonna try and get the first place that red shell doesn't hit me uh but you know you just have to do it sometimes it's it's kind of like I don't like red chilling somebody but I have to do it if I want to win the same idea with with bagging it's like sometimes you do dirty things to try and get the win you know okay uh oh this sucks so oh thank you for the shock timing and that probably deleted a lot of people's bullet bills if they had it so it's going to be tough for them to take the bullet extension let's see if we have any bullets coming ah blue shell it's too late to slow down I think my lead is too big nice those are just a banana right there wow this race is really working out for me this is the type of luck you need to front run on Yoshi circuit because on lap three if the people in this room are good we are going to start seeing some people take the bullet extension and it's going to be terrible but you can front run in Yoshi circuit that's the nice thing take both mushrooms so no one else can take it on this track you kind of really need the Bullet Bill to bag and let's see if anyone takes it here just watching the minimap oh really no bullets no bullets wow okay no I I could I could totally front run this time this is why you don't always bag even if it's a bagging track I'm just gonna hold this banana I'm just kidding yeah someone red shot me right there if I threw my item I may not have had time to get my defense out first place come on outrun the blue shell yes speaking of begging let's front run a bagging track there you go proof that Yoshi circuit you do not have to bag on it you just have to get insanely lucky multiple times so this combo definitely has a speed stat Advantage but uh so it's anti-gravity stat is good which is what we're on a lot of this track but it also has a really really good glider speed and water speed like all of the speed stats on this are great which means you can make comebacks on any tracks and uh the the thing is like if you're front running front running is not that hard mini turbo Stat or speed stat will do it for you but if you're trying to make a comeback which inevitably is going to happen because you get hit so much in this game then the speed stat is straight up better than the mini turbo stat so even though the Mini's turbo stats usually better the speed stack can be better okay I I bet I bet some people right now are like wow I didn't know you could take that shortcut shroomless yup so you don't have to do anything special you just hop just hop through it uh sometimes I fail it and I'm not sure why but usually it works I have a super horn and a coin this is great I mean I'd rather have not a coin but the super horn being in the second slot is great [Music] okay I just need to focus now not mess this up my lead is big enough that there's no reason to risk that shortcut that shortcut saves like no time wait wait what did I use that to her I used that way too early I was so confident that the Red Shell was really close to me oh oh no no no that's fine that's fine I'm now not getting Blue Shield you know what the the right path is such a bait like it's faster because you get one more trick I think that's the only reason it's faster but there aren't three coins on it and you can easily get bumped off so I don't like that path if I'm being honest I almost always try to take the left path and if I ever do take the right path I almost immediately regret it also you're you're so dead right now you are so dead you have another banana I should have looked first hope I don't get hit okay we're good we're good I hate when first place has multiple defenses I'm like why doesn't that ever happen to me wow the 300 SL Roadster I think is I think it's burned out that's so funny oh so I know what some of you guys are thinking uh you just got hit there wouldn't it have been great to have the acceleration stats right why do you keep talking about speed and mini turbo like they're so great it isn't acceleration one of the most important stats in this game and the short answer is no speed and mini turbo are the two and most important stats in this game and acceleration is not even close and the reason why the slow builds with high acceleration have such uh like they're pretty usable it has nothing to do with their acceleration it's because they have a high mini turbo stats right the acceleration stat in comparison to speed in mini turbo is almost useless okay and let me explain why so the reason mushroom okay that's why because when you get hit a lot of the time you you are in the middle of the pack right that's where you get hit the most and often in those spots you can get a mushroom really easily look I have more mushrooms and look there's threats everywhere red shells right in front of me and uh they just got hit by a car so I'm gonna get red filled yep okay I'm Gonna Save this mushroom because it's a turn and I'm gonna take this shortcut oh what oh okay I didn't realize what does respawn okay note to self use your mushroom later on that shortcut but yeah uh you saw what I did on Mario Kart Stadium uh you you've seen what I've done on Yoshi circuit before like a lot of tracks most tracks actually are like they're it's pretty okay to just be in the back get to 10 coins use your items take some shortcuts and you'll be right back by the end of it um I might be too far behind here I'll be honest that respawn kind of killed this race but just in general like the speed stat helps you make comebacks because of the speed items all depend on your speed stat and so speed kind of kind of does what you think acceleration should do it no that was so unlucky but yeah speed is kind of like The Comeback factor and so when you get hit you actually want to go to the back and use speed not acceleration and yet that one terrible respawn just ruined my entire race wow I'm losing to the Wave 4 meta and The pre-dlc Meta no no no no no no I need to beat these people I need show them that this is better let's take this shortcuts oh that draft almost ruined my shortcut okay this part's gonna be a bit weirder in general not there but like having a lower mini turbo stat I'm just not used to it sometimes like I still get great results with this combo but there's some tracks obviously like there's so many tracks in this game that if you're like oh I like this combo so much let me try it on all the tracks good luck there's like 90 tracks okay let's go behind this car oh I might have hit the car if the car didn't suddenly go forward that was really nice person behind me is triple bananas hopefully they play defensive and hold on to it that way no red shells come my way [Music] I I feel like the better room you're in the more peaceful it can end up being because everyone knows that playing defensive is the best way to play in this game oh did I get a Cassandra there that would have been cool oh no red Shell's humming my way the Yoshi take the top hat Yep they're gliding right above me the tip they took a shortcut oh okay I got them with a green shot they didn't even have to throw that bomb I just want some distance I don't want them to be able to suddenly snipe me with a random item I'm trying to take down the Yoshi's here I need to play ruthless hey there we go that mini turbo is actually not too bad yeah sometimes I forget I play like on the fastest combo and the worst combo and I'm like I need more mini turbo and then I realize like hey among all the viable combos the mini turbo is fine like it's not a big deal okay and we have a blue shell this sucks oh no no I can hit a car come on come on come on come on oh the shock no that's even better thank you thank you whoever used the shock oh that's perfect timing like you can see the blue shell of the minimap so you don't have to shock when the blue shell is about to hit somebody I mentioned this a bit earlier but can I just say King Boo is so cute he's just a giant blob and look his feet can't touch the pedals it makes no sense another reason I like this combo is it's kind of nostalgic for me so I don't know how many of you guys have played maple story but there's this enemy and maple story called a soul Teddy and I mean come on I'm King Boo on a teddy bear oh what what lag lag is this a Japanese yes it's a Japanese player uh the distance the internet connection there's no way you can fly across the screen like that unless I actually did that in which case like what are you doing why did you do that cloud cloud is no one going to get the cloud oh thank you thank you right as I'm about to land that is perfect timing I'm in first place now uh when you're not skilled but you're lucky enough and everything just works out yeah I'm not skilled I am not skilled it's like salt in the wounds every time a Yoshi wins like there's just so many Yoshi players there are several characters with equivalent stats stop playing Yoshi everyone there's no way all of your favorite characters are Yoshi actually I take that back Yoshi's a great character a lot of people have good reason to pick Yoshi as their favorite so I'm just speaking nonsense I just want to see more variety but if everyone's favorite is actually Yoshi I mean what can you do about that [Music] where is first place oh I'm in first place okay the the thing just glitched out yeah yeah I'm in first place by a lot Super bounce nice okay I rarely do that just because it's pretty risky and if you want the double item box then there's like it's hard to aim for the double item box and get that oh bomb in the shortcut yes I got him I have a bigger lead now okay I love having a big lead because when you're in the front like some people think being in first place is bad because there's the blue shell and second place get the red shells at you obviously but the thing is only those things can hit you if you're in the middle of the pack anything can hit you no there's a blue shell okay well I mean I did I did sign up for this I I did say this is good that only the blue shell can hit me uh they're catching up they're catching up I need my coins up everyone can take this shortcut at the end but so can I shroom oh no don't put me back here ah okay I'll I'll admit I'll admit that's the one time maybe you should have drift off a glider if someone's aiming a green Shell at you that's like the first time this ever happened to me [Music] second time that's ever happened to me this is another one of those tracks where it's like run until you get hit in the bag or just back at the start I'm too tempted it's so good on this track to to do a little bit of bagging at the start it's kind of like snow land what the bats I have such a bad track record with the bats but yeah you bag a little bit to take a giant shortcut and then you're right back in the race it's not even like real bagging I just couldn't get an item okay so uh we're not doing that anymore the plan has been completely ruined I'm in fifth place I probably have to save my triple mushrooms you can take this shortcut here with at least three mushrooms so we're probably okay four mushrooms perfect no there goes all my mushrooms let's steer back to the track I'm gonna predict shotguns a little bit later okay let's use this I need to get back up to speed foreign lagged and I hit them so many times four mushrooms nice oh I could win this everyone's right there hey here don't go too far right where you crash into the wall I'm Gonna Save one mushroom just in case just in case someone aims for me it's perfect see what I mean who needs acceleration when you get a hit just start bagging just do that every single time oh okay but this track has no mushroom shortcuts so I'm just gonna front run it's kind of no reason to bag on this track unless you're forced into the back and then at that point it's sort of like a I might as well a situation but I I would never like just start off being like I'm gonna bag on ice ice Outpost that's not really something I do that that person is so gonna hit me oh no oh that is such a sketchy line and then they hit me okay so if you get hit you start bagging that's what you do right I don't see see like this is what I mean you can't really be in the middle of the pack and just be like oh I'll just accelerate no you'll run into everyone's items like those triple greens I'm not gonna mushroom past them so I just need to keep bagging they're forcing me to oh there's more triple greens oh that's so annoying I'm taking yellow path again it's slower than the Green Path but it is uh the safer path because less people take it and in general that's just how it works so if you're in the back of the pack bagging where you really just want to save your coins like don't worry about about which path you're taking okay I took a bad line I'm gonna have to stay up here and not take the second part of the shortcuts second what [Music] so funny oh I don't even know what I did please don't have an item near me oh that bullet almost hit me I almost got bumped off oh this is so scary okay I'm just gonna use both of these mushrooms oh no no I'm in first I should have saved the mushrooms what is going on how did first place lose their first place I'm focused on so many things right now I can't even like figure out what's going on but I'm in first so I I can't complain hit the ceiling that's fine there we go nice little shortcut didn't mess it up like you did a lot one in lap two here we're gonna do the path switch to be a little faster oh I have a big lead this is nice I'm not that great on an ice ice output so I have to focus really hard I shouldn't have done this okay I could have gotten Target shocked oh that was a great race this combo it can bag it can front run it's cute that's why it's my new favorite combo yes mushroom Gorge I feel like we haven't had mushroom gorge in a while okay I'm bagging um I've always bagged on mushroom Gorge that this is nothing new it's not because of my combo I just want mushrooms for The Gap jump like this is one instance where I think it's actually more exciting to play bagging uh because like I bag for like five seconds and then I get to have guaranteed Gap jump on the first lap all right let's do this oh what is going on oh I got such a weird bounce mushroom I need a Super bounce but can't get a mini turbo okay let's do this okay coins coins yes yes all right let's not mess this up this time oh that was still a bit weird okay no no we got that we got that all right and then we can I saw the blue blue I was like this is the dumbest catch up but no yes shock what oh this is so funny I I'm back at 10 coins okay I think first place doesn't have an item right now yup there we go oh no yes no okay I I tried to go around first place so that the Red Shell would hit them instead of me and it worked but then I went off the edge because of that oh this has been such a good race okay ah I threw that by accident I should be okay here just staying out of the way in case they backed me yep wow so many threats at the end oh someone took the Gap jump what a crazy race I don't think I've had a roller coaster of emotions playing Mario Kart like this one all right let's show off some bagging with my slightly higher speed set than everyone else look at everyone that Yoshi's all the way over there okay let's get some items now so main thing here is I'm just gonna need coins let's get rid of these bananas on the coin path just make it slightly harder for everyone else two coins right here nice I'm just trying to get to ten um I don't have to be at the first item set I can be at this item set let's not get hit by people okay well sometimes you can't avoid it oh okay let's go golden mushroom can't do anything about that let's just make sure I grab these coins make sure I'm at 10. well I don't really want to use this bullet okay well I could have dodged this rock it actually doesn't matter like dry dry desert we should all just spawn at the beginning of lab three because that's when the race actually starts like I actually do not care that I didn't dodge that shock it would have been cool but it would not have helped me in this race whatsoever dodging that shock okay um start I don't think I have enough to make it through this part okay I'm not gonna be near the items I want to chain at the next set I want to use this yet I'm just scared somebody else has one as well but I want to use it when people are probably not going to dodge and if not if enough people don't Dodge then I win it's that simple nobody dodged on dry dry desert nobody dodged okay okay I'm I'm slopping it up here I'm not doing a great job no can I at least make it to the shortcut okay well someone had a mushroom that's unlucky but we got second place you see what I mean nothing mattered until lap three so I've been meaning to practice bone dry Dunes a bit uh just because well it rarely shows up online so I don't feel like I'm not good at it I kind of just make up the lines every time oh that was such a good banana snipe I think it got two of us wow that was like right in my line it was it's a pretty wide path that was a great snipe okay so um I got hit so I'm just gonna start bagging because this is like I don't know how good of a bagging track this is but I'm gonna take the left path get away from everyone and get me some coins I rarely come here whoa what was that I'm messing up everything oh piranha plant no I didn't realize I had this yes yes that truck's actually great I got rid of my plant and uh wow I actually got three coins there and uh if you're in the back of the pack even if you don't Dodge the truck it's so good for there to be a shock because the shock really is a comeback mechanic where the people at the front they stay small for longer okay uh so I'm gonna use this here for the shortcut and I have a boo I have my son in my arms and I will use this to potentially Dodge the shock I'm gonna try and predict it oh no red shell okay okay I used that right in time sometimes you just have to talk to items I mean it's lap three I I can't risk bagging at this point oh first place got hit oh and the bomb didn't hit me I'm in first oh wow I don't even know how that happened but somehow yeah bagging is broken okay I'm probably not gonna win though uh there's a big shortcut at the end and it's a very slippery Road I'm just gonna try not to get destroyed here okay I'm in second place and all right second wow that blue Yoshi is way too good all right mute City I'm happy about this I actually have a bit of a speed advantage on all these Yoshi's thanks to King Boo's two extra points of speed and mini turbo definitely does not matter as much on this track Like look at this we're just driving straight and taking boost panels yeah I just drove all the way to Second Place wow you can really see the speed stat shine um like of all places on any tracks like mute City on that section is such a good example oh okay good we have Boost panels so acceleration doesn't matter too much on this track either because there's boost panels everywhere what even hit me oh no okay no no this is this is actually maybe okay because uh no everything's not okay so I just need an item here oh no again okay just get my coins up ah should I take the shroomless cut no okay I like I need to catch up but I also whoa I also need to get items so let's get an item here no okay lap three new lap new me you you can still do this you can do this with a king boot I I still have the speed Advantage as I keep saying but like if I don't get any items this isn't gonna work okay defense defense nice nice star behind me okay I'm just gonna toss this yes nice items oh I have to use the star early because of the red shells okay I don't think I can change this into the oh yeah I can't okay I need it let's do this yes yes I did it I did it shroomless oh that's actually pretty tough can we win can we win second the blue Yoshi is too good it's not even the same Blue Yoshi I just keep losing the blue Yoshis Red Shell bye Yoshi okay so that Yoshi has been kind of getting on my nerves with how much they've been winning um I've been winning two but we're clearly the two best players in this room so I just want to get them out of here for a front running track let's do this yeah okay that's so fun it doesn't even save that much time but it is the time trial Strat it's the fastest way to take that section and here what you do is you charge this part's beard do that and then I press uh right and R in midair like I'm doing a right hop right after the mini turbo it's weird but it like realigns your cart in midair and so you're supposed to do oh that's not what you're supposed to do okay so um I was playing this track a couple times with Lemmy getting terrible results because I was on Lenny and uh someone left to comment that kind of got to me because like yeah it's true like I um well it's not true I I don't need to learn Mario Stadium watch this look I'm good at Wario Stadium okay so it's just like I was making terrible decisions and messing everything oh jinx myself again I thought that was a red shell yeah I was just doing really poorly with Lemmy because I was so tilted that I was like getting hit by everything and this is quite a precise track but the oh there's definitely a right way to do things and a wrong way to do things on this track and it's not very obvious what the right things are oh items everywhere I'm gonna slow down okay oh green shell hope it doesn't hit me yup I'm not letting me it doesn't hit me so there's a right way to do everything on this track Like here I'm just gonna do like a little drift here oh I messed it up I ended the drift um if you want to see a good version of that look at lap one oh same thing here yeah I had bad alignment all right look at lap one if you want to see how to play this track but yeah like the obvious way to play this track and the good way to play this track Like You don't save that much time doing all the best stuff but it is such a fun track to time trial because there's so many Advanced Techniques oh blue shell I'll be good I'll be good just need to throw these greens at the last second oh I didn't even connect it on the Yoshi oh was that the Yoshi that was like really good as well wow I got first place and I got blue shell twice the blue Yoshi sucks
