This Is My First PS5 Platinum Trophy And I'm In LOVE. | Astro's Playroom - PlayStation 5

it just played the playstation 3's oh my that's so amazing oh my god it's all ps1 themed they did this perfect get no [Music] so as you're watching this right now we've had ps5 here in north america for a little over two weeks and i've been purposely avoiding astros playroom i've only done the small starting section on a second profile to source footage for what i've been doing the past two weeks which is testing evaluating video editing things like that the coverage we've been doing here on this channel but i know this is a straightforward platinum so i was saving my main playthrough for this video i'm extremely excited to play this game but for different reasons i mean yes this is a great free platformer yes it's a great showcase of the dual sense features but what caught my eye when we started to see pre-release footage of this game is that it's basically a love letter to playstation history i love all the nods and references and so i pretty much went on a media blackout for this game and stopped looking at screenshots videos things like that i just want to have a nice genuine play through and try to find all the references and let's just have fun right it's not so much a trophy challenge but more of a trophy celebration and a reverence for playstation history so let's get into it welcome this is the part i've seen unfortunately so i again i only did like the small starting area then a little bit of like the cooling springs and then like i barely even stepped into the gpu jungle i love this little intro look at this this is so dope like i love when nintendo does this stuff and now you know sony's been around long enough they've been they've definitely been around long enough to do stuff like this i i always appreciate these things i feel like the dual sense is going to be super loud because my audio is right there yeah but these are super cool so this is still a five hour platinum and uh a lot of footage is gonna get cut unfortunately so i don't know what's gonna make it in once i start editing this thing oh god this is probably gonna be the most i'm ever gonna smile making a youtube video are we supposed to be in the playstation 5 right now yeah there's the rear of the console i'm trying to try to let go oh my god this game is so adorable i'm loving everything about this is that our first uh artifact whatever that is there's our first trophy one down a lot more to go here we go cooling springs this is the only level that i really kept myself stuck in because this is the area that sony showed us the most and even then i didn't explore it too much but uh this is what i used to film a good portion of footage and i do know we can knock out a trophy really quick here which is uh beat up three enemies very quickly so we'll do that there we go it's all in the mine beat three enemies quickly by punching them hey our first artifact a playstation i that is so cool all right oh my god they've got like the product label and everything that's so amazing i love that look at the level of deep these res look at the the textures they're using it's so it's such a high resolution using all that horsepower for what is really just a simple platformer psi camera who got their playstation eye from a brand new copy of eye of judgment um that was uh pretty much i mean you could have bought it separately but that was like day one for that what are they doing down here a little bit of concrete genie i pulled the god of war card pretty early huh i'm already seeing a loco roco reference in the background over there i wonder if you can make them smaller hey another artifact is it a six axis or a dual shock three it's a six axis dual shock 3 not just a 6-axis the label would be on top of where it says dual shock 3. dude i love the detail this is insane there it is hey there we go got cool hoarder uh they think they're clever with these names okay a little bit of super rub-a-dub up in here what is with this playstation camera dude filming fat princess or anything else that happens around here hey there we go got one naturally it's called helldiver as if that doesn't ip that sony's released [Music] oh they're playing a playstation 3 what are they playing dude raider one of the like early insults of uncharted there really was like a thing in 2007. i'm not playing dude raider playing a fat model they know what's up frigid flows and the haptics are really really fun and you know to be fair it's really exaggerated in this game but they feel great but charted okay so they do mock discs ps3 game disc perfect blue that was unexpected i didn't think they were going to do that [Music] playstation vr worlds right there [Music] new artifact hey it's a umd bottle rocco interesting good old umds makes a strong case stop with the puns hey oh my god um a puppeteer reference i didn't think sony remembered they had that franchise i mean japan studios so i obviously they would um remember it but it would be nice to have more of that that's another artifact what's that last puzzle there it is a psp an actual playstation platform loves being held look at the amount of detail on this thing unreal oh man it just played the playstation 3's oh my oh the xmb oh man this is something i've reached a certain level of ecstasy that i didn't think was possible look at that oh my gosh this is i'm gonna have to change my pants dude this isn't right this isn't right you can hear the orchestra in the background oh my god oh my god dude super slim playstation threes acting as waterfalls it's gotta be a fat model right there we go there she is love of my life hd graphics yeah there was one h there was like two or three hd ps2 games but such a big fan it's a 60 gig s3b it's not a cech a01 oh look at her i've got i think five fat ps3 models now at this point and there's no reason for me to have that many but i do i see ah so all the accessories are laid out for that era there's our puzzle pieces oh that's dope that is so cool okay so yeah the lava is like a museum to peruse yes all the accessories and things like that from this particular era can i like interact with it again oh my god you can turn it on i'm hyperventilating this is what i do this this is me right here pretty much been doing this for the last 14 years if i'm being honest oh there's a dinosaur demo type demo i like i said there's going to be things i'm missing oh look there's there's also me the wall is lined with ports from various playstation consoles god bless you team sophie let's go to the gpu jungle hey crash what's going on down here a little bit of horizon zero dawn that's what we're doing out here i dig it oh look at that a direct reference to the ps1 tech demo they even made them all all blocky looking they should have like put the original like model there right they've got to still have the the source code for that that would have been pretty dope meshed that original model into there we got a playstation move wow they even got like the buttons that are like because if you press a move controller button it doesn't get repressed that that far do you know what i mean like it's so subtle how it actually goes down they even got that right what's this what is this one oh castlevania bloodborne reference excellent excellent nice to see that here this is their last of us reference very tame that's gotta be our uncharted reference more direct reference yeah see these secrets aren't too hard to find but it's just it's just hidden away enough bought away there we go playstation video game pack why go disc when you what did i say why go disc when you can go cart oh it's gonna be slight very cool next artifact it is a playstation camera the perfect fit for your playroom our very first introduction of astro just called the playroom artifact it is dual shock for the dual shock for legends has legend has a little robots live inside of it yeah that was a cool little magical moment back then too but like not everyone was able to experience it unless you bought the playstation camera shadow the colossus honestly it's impressive that they that this is free it always looked impressive just offering any sort of free content on day one there's a lot here just from a development standpoint there's a lot here there's a lot of detail there's everything is carefully crafted it's a it feels good to play it's they could have easily gotten away with charging money for this not much but something what the for do you know what's weird is that it really took me a second because this was i don't know it was strange looking from a distance i was like what is that and then i got closer and i was still like what is that but it's jack and daxter um and i'm i'm happy to see it here honestly i wasn't expecting to see it here my face is really overexposed from the tv playstation vita there it is loves to have its backstrokes do with these subtitles i can't playstation vita be still my beating heart it's pretty dope i was not expecting something like this to be in here the found legacy and this would be there it is playstation vr yeah okay i think with the theme here actually is the because technically we got playstation move in this world so despite the fact that ps move came out in 2009 with playstation 3 this is the ps4 era that they're going for and so it's probably more appropriate to put move here i'm guessing all right here we go oh my god plays the music too that's great that is excellent hey journey that's actually really appropriate considering we're on the considering we're on the mountain there she is oh beautiful i oh look how good it looks against the blue greatness awaits better believe it does look at that charted why would i complete uncharted on easy actually those trophies start as charted easy charted normal charted hard ps4 was so important to playstation's history i mean they all have their own level of significance but gosh this is the company really returning back to their to their former glory and that's from somebody saying like look i love playstation 3 but that's what this console represents right here oh it looks so good it's actually somewhat disappointing that this game uses the dual sense so well it's but it's it's so exaggerated too like a lot of this is really unnecessary most games don't need this all right they don't need this much of it so it's disappointing that we might not see i'm finding it hard to think that you know games will use it to the extent that this one has ps1 had a whole range of accessories actually a lot of them are so obscure it's like i don't know if they'd really bother putting everything in there you could do like what the multi-tap and that maybe the flight stick the mouse i don't know ps2 you got itoy they had an official remote we'll go here memory meadow seems appropriate to go here i'm assuming this is more of the yeah more of the retro area gusty gateway ape escape would be really nice to get a new one there we go first artifact yeah this is the retro area playstation controller you can handle this death stranding also a good one i've had plenty of moments playing that game just like that struggling oh there's also a tear away reference that's also a very special game too that game also makes me uh feel a certain type of way hard to describe you just have experiences where it makes you feel something that you haven't felt before we got oh the mouse is in here wow that's what i was thinking like how many you know ps1 had a range of accessories but some of these were really obscure they'll have a ball with this stop that was a trophy getting hit by something is that supposed to be last guardian and this is heavy rain that's kind of that's kind of dark the way they did that one that's simple enough huh oh my god it's all ps1 themed oh this is cool i like how they do how they're doing this like who wouldn't do that nice i got it's like the one of the prettiest scenes here so far infamous there better be there better be a dual shock up there ah there we go and it was the dual shock i see yeah had to be worth the dual shock look at the sticks come on i go on it oh my god that will be pocket station and big in japan yeah big in japan it was pretty much only in japan you think this thing had wide adoption anywhere else all right you made the you made the damn thing although games in the us still supported it here we go the ending oh my god they did this perfect they did this perfect for ps1 not oh man wow toro in away yeah there should right into the dual shock too i'll take it copes well with pressure me these dude it's so good so good how they do it colts well under pressure not many games even used that ah playstation 2 multitap oh detroit become human which one of you is sent by cyber life oh look at that it's a uh little big planet a little big planet earth with all the buttons on it hi toy keeps your granny entertained no i could use it for anti-grav best harmonics game ever everyone's saying the gpu jungles where it's at music wise but i don't know ssd speedway's got it going on oh okay throw the needle thread the needle thread the needle there we go hold up playstation 2 slim cute kid looks like it's mom but hold on there was no slim consoles for ps3 or ps1 or ps4 there's no ps4 pro so like playstation 5 has to be like a secret level or something right after all the all these main ones are done i'm just guessing that's what's going to happen here oh omega booster oh we got another silver it's amazing how good this game looks for what it is here we go look at this little bot of war wow i'm surprised that they got to show up once i walk over there right the towers yes oh my god everything just oh my lord they even got the setting things whatever you call that oh there is the world's most successful video game machine ever made emotion engine playstation 2. welcome to the third place dude this is awesome it's not even like a little bit cool this is a lot cool i don't even know what that did oh the playstation logo okay let's go check the basement this has got to be like a polygon man thing or something oh my gosh 1994 throwback why is it why is this so eerie demo one ken's kuragi-san oh my god i have i can take damage get no you're yeah i said it too i said it earlier why don't they just use the original model oh my god [Music] oh dude oh this is so hype this is i've never been more hyped in my life i have never oh my god that was so amazing that entrance oh that was it what oh my lord what is happening what is happening oh my goodness i was just there's no way it was that easy if they let you take damage oh a trophy that was weird platinum trophy and there we are astros playroom whoa one more thing well surely this must be for playstation 5. yup yup paul's 3d wireless headset make things sound as 3d as they look well you just kind of handed them out now hd camera i'm guessing this is a dual sense indeed it is playstation 5. a new member of the playstation family gold trophy play has no limits couldn't be more generic but all right number five is alive very good yeah this is what i want to see here oh front and center huh front and center yeah so i think we got to do that next right there's a lot of stuff in here gotcha beginner so it's just like a little trophy thing or something that's cool there's an artifact oh the psp microphone yeah okay now we're getting obscure the network adapter what the gps receiver too psp go oh yes yeah there's the camera hey the ps1 okay yeah so we got some slim consoles up in here hey there's playstation 4 pro how pro can you go okay there we go ps3 slim all right right after too ps3 super slim there's the playstation foursome dude raider a grand tour that's gotta be all the puzzle pieces or something sour gotcha oh there you go that fills up the ps4 space this is incredible like the early footage that we saw was one thing but i i didn't know it was to the extent of this the last guy there we go gravity days gather around children let me spin you a tail project neo there you go got it there we go got that just had to deflect one of those things excellent got that one the heavy rain thing jason why didn't i think of think about trying that when i was over here before there we go got it adequate boy wild arms i like that one too that's a good one do a spin three jumps twisting metal there we go keepy uppies there we go all right the rest of our trophies are in the playstation labo very exciting and i i already love this one speed it up a few times really sony computer entertainment oh he puts the sign back up turn that on there you go rescue mission there's actually a trophy for playstation home which is even more shocking we just gotta stand stand a little archway there there we go the very far point this will be our platinum unlock which i think this is going to be very suitable we just have to find where they are here we go right over here trophies we got our platinum look at me holding a platinum trophy you've only done everything what a i'm at a loss for words i really am like this is just everything i wanted it to be and more this is gonna go down in the books for me this is a very memorable experience oh my gosh first playstation 5 platinum but anyway thank
