This Is Bad!!! 3 Snow Rescues Turn Into 7.

so we got a call for two trucks and a skid steer that are stuck in some very deep snow at indianola and we are headed up there to see if we can get them out it's 23 degrees right now sun's shining and it's gonna be a little bit colder up there but we'll get them out we stayed up half the night trevor tucker myself lizzy was there for a little bit but i don't know if he did anything nope i didn't we thrashed to get the snow cap put back together we made some modifications that are untried untested who knows how this is gonna go one of the vehicles is an f550 dump truck it's stuck there's a skid steer with tracks it's stuck and i think a ram 3500 it snowed a lot since they got stuck and apparently the skid steer doesn't run this is a big job and it's not safe or practical for us to try it by ourselves so we call robbie layton he's going to be bringing his crew and we called rory irish and he's gonna be bringing trail mater and we're gonna we're gonna figure this out we don't know exactly what we're gonna do stick around we'll get him out [Music] how's your leg [Music] i guess we'll just go in there and mouth some food down fast [Music] i got here [Music] so we're gonna just hurry and eat and then go look at that we don't have anywhere to stop you just wanna go straight there okay so we'll go out of fairview i'll follow you okay so robbie and hillabilly are the only ones that know like what we're getting into exactly i don't even know what to expect i don't know how far we have to drive in or any of that so this is going to be interesting to see and then i'm curious to see how trail mater does with the snow and the snow chains we may just drive right up to them pull them out and be done i don't know but i'm glad we're rolling three deep the snow is not my forte that's uh french for fort so we can make we can do two things okay we can all park right here and go up the road or if you look all the way to the top of that hill there's a silver building there probably will be room for everybody to park there but i'll bet trying to turn that trail around is going to be fun the shorter i have to drive this the better rory could follow us up there yep because that trailer is way too big to get turned around yep let's get him on top of it okay we could get him stuck for more drama we're starting a manufacturing plan manufactured [Music] so we're thinking about having you unload here i'm i'm afraid to fall down that's your job [Music] are you gonna pull a mat and not wear a coat oh heck no i have full climb gear oh yeah no i don't like cold at all what's that the guy that was supposed to bring the keys is now stuck here he just called my shot duck where somewhere up here so he's some he's not going to need us to give us the keys because now we've got to find him just staying together did the wheels stay on looks like it [Applause] hey trevor the wheel stayed on well we loaded it and unloaded it without breaking a wheel or throwing a track it's basically tested yes [Music] i don't know this is weird i feel like if something happens we'll be okay okay and a real fan yeah these jordan and the cool part is like the door doesn't rattle this top part rattles the doors jk doors bolt right on a chevy square body light modifications they're nice but they ain't no plywood you gotta even know how to use that stirrup don't you this is a pretty great honor to ride in trail mater i know [Music] so the customer came up to bring us the keys he got here before us and now he's stuck so we got to get him out he's right up here hello i brought some uh motivation for you thank you i was gonna come up with the keys and set them in the truck but uh and this happened then this happened it's my luck it happened so that's dodge obviously okay this is that 550 the skid steerers keys in it robbie was playing with it yesterday hey awesome thank you matt and lizzy are very happy that you have you get to do that instead well i'm still in training so i haven't really i've got like 2 000 more hours of mats recovery training to get so i'm just doing what i can today so we don't want his wheels spinning or nothing okay [Music] okay he's on the gas turn what we got yeah that looks fantastical all those trucks should run and none of the skid steers well that's what i mean if we can get this one out of the way then we have a way to get in here to deal with these two you don't think the back end will follow the front if we just pull from the front what happens if you square it up about where you're at i can run a winch straight out from where it's at right now yeah i've got a side winch right there okay let's try it got the keys here lindsay the ford you know how you can tell because it's not running it's not even showing anything is it dead how much gas is in it over a quarter sitting like this okay the exhaust pipe isn't covered is it uh i nope it is not okay put now rev it up and then when you're letting it off put it down in low i want to see something so rev it up and i'll tell you let off go okay let off put it in load okay there's something okay stop start pulling it [Applause] okay i'm going to put a little on it with the cat let's see if we can break okay go lizzy [Applause] oh yeah we're adding another winch because this thing is being a little stubborn we don't have a great angle on it and there's something this is in lint mode or something it's not running good should we come from here with my winch and pull here what do you think matt yeah [Applause] hey trevor how's it going i was about to ask you the same thing it's going good i'm just sitting here how far do you feel a little more another 10 foot all right pulling at that angle it's gonna try and tip your rig so keep an eye on it so find her up all right [Music] [Music] hey man [Music] [Music] this is gonna be a big job this truck is heavy how's that it was a beautiful day for baseball i could hear you i was just ignoring you [Music] [Music] [Music] i am not the best driver in snow like because i don't live in the snow i cannot drive in the snow [Music] so [Music] that looks fun i've lost the grouser it broke the heads off of all of the things we can fix this this isn't the problem but that's a very important one that's what holds my thing together so do you think it's just down should we walk go get rigged up i'm gonna go look for it i can hear it skipping and i didn't hear it skipping till we turned around and came up that's the driver's side right yeah yeah that was the first sideways oh that's the side i titan that's the second side oh yeah freaking manhandling stuff tucker what's the bomb tucker the bomb can't handle the situation flat bar we can always just yeah pin it in my calves are burning my feet are all sweaty we're gonna be here after dark they're gonna freeze up well i know not to keep driving when it fails yeah we don't want to go through that again you got a way to drill holes yep these bolts are 5 16 and they're just trapped you see they just made but i would love to have this sprocket this can just be a washer we could drill that and run a bolt put a bolt through this first tube smash that down flat on each end i would be fine with that and mine are great eights by the way oh lizzy what happened careful [Music] that's very precise measurement [Music] [Applause] i drilled one side bigger for the carriage bolt head [Music] the battery seems pretty dead you just had the oh that was stopping maybe i was no that's about it this is only good for about 20. this will do 65 if you want to really hurt it no that's how we got here in the first place yeah those tucker actually tightened up this bar oh the same one tucker i think it might have got a little too much now that i've been rescued back to your regularly scheduled rescue [Music] i need more more so while we were messing around with the cat they got this all rigged up between those two vehicles and we just got to get the bomb hooked up okay i'm excited [Music] you still hanging on lizzy he's probably taking a nap [Music] pretty soon i thought you might be taking a nap in there [Music] okay robby keep it tight barely missed it how'd that feel oh it was good nice and easy but you want to know what's scary i'm pumped on the brakes and i got nothin to go clear to the floor it doesn't get clear of the floor does it you have a little bit there you got a little bit of break [Music] are you getting this [Music] huh [Music] [Music] [Music] do [Music] i bet he's done way sketchier things oh yeah he's like oh yeah cake he's like i got this this is no big deal hey so by this time we've been about six hours on this job and we are out of batteries for our gopros so the rest of this job was filmed poorly on cell phones with bad lighting because the sun had gone down and we still had like two and a half miles to get back down to where we had unloaded so it was just crazy so at this point we were working to get the skid steer out we had to put fuel in it we had to bleed the fuel system and the tracks were frozen like packed with snow and mud and ice robbie and his crew filmed that really good so when you get done with this video go check out robbie's video you can see us get the skid steer out i mean that's a couple hours to get that as soon as we got that out hillbilly jumped in that thing and then just motored down the road he was gone he was out of there that's when i learned that lizzy doesn't know who smokey the bear is then you wouldn't even know smokey the bear's middle name you especially wouldn't know who hooty the owl is you're more of a sid the sloth person slappy the flop frog slap slappy the frog so now it's basically a level road out mostly downhill with a little bit of uphill i'm in the bombi i'm hooked up to trevor in the f-550 behind us is rory then lizzy's in the dodge and then robbie is bringing it up the rear so the snow cap floats on the snow pretty good so it doesn't compact the snow so especially especially for an f550 yeah so the 550 was still breaking snow yeah like a foot and a half of snow yeah was it what it was left plowing so we're struggling through the flat but we're making progress and the road starts to go uphill we're sometimes we're going okay and then other times it's just like trevor's got the brakes on we finally got to a place where rory could get around in front so now we've got the bomb trail mater and then trevor forward progress was still a struggle but now at least we were doing it so we came to one sharp turn and it was a little bit of work to get the f550 around it went a little further ways up and then we got to a sharp one and we have got to get the f550 around the corner i bet we spent an hour and a half doing that yeah it was an hour that's when i found out why they call them hairpin turns because they can get pretty hairy and turning [Laughter] so [Applause] so after we made it past the hairpin turn that was our last big obstacle we are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel we did it tucker so now we get out to the main road the road's slick but we get everybody down so while we're all loading up we get a text from the customer that they're stuck clear up on top so i'm like hey robbie why don't you head up there and get him trail mater's already loaded up and the snow cat i don't want to drive all the way back up there in that so he jumps in his jeep and takes off and we're just waiting for him to come back and he never comes back and he never comes back the customer got stuck and robbie ran up there really quick to get them unstuck and he's broken a drive line and he says something's broken on their car so we're all loaded up there's no sense of taking the snow cat up there because i could get them unstuck but i can't do anything about it so i think we're all loading in trail mater in the most ridiculous way to go up there me and rory and lizzy jumped in it and there was no way trevor and tucker were going to fit in there with us we left them there to get eaten by polar bears [Applause] so by this time it's like what 11 o'clock at night 10 30. okay we hit pavement at 10 30 pm left pavement at noon okay that's a good that's some good information so a couple things that we learned from this one the spindle stayed together in some extremely abusive conditions i was really glad to have robbie and rory there the skid steer wouldn't have happened without robbie's team none of the extractions would have happened without rory and trell mader i'm gonna pin a comment so you can find robbie's and rory's videos easily we did remember shirts in the bomby so that was a win and i think we even got footage of that slides for days awesome well thank you absolutely you have a good night good luck
