[Music] and we all know how interesting vegetation and scattering tools have always been in blender and Folks at bd3d have just made it even better as they've just recently announced the plant Library this is a free set of tool that you can use to generate tons of vegetation across your scene right now this contains 31 different biomes that you can work with and there's even way more things that you can get out of it the voxability 3D creators of scatter have not only created the library they've also given out a set of dots cut path files and as well you'll be able to have access to the plot library and a beautiful biome reader add-on and once you select this and you proceed to download this you find two route files which you can work with as one of them deals with the plant Library Legacy and one deals with a plant library for blender 3.4 and above and if you take a look at the quick starter guide there is also a specification that you need blender 3.4 and above to actually get things to work as you might want them something else we should be needing to get all of these things working is the bio reader plugin the biome reader plugin can be found right here which I'm going to put Link in the description I'll bring you directly and once you download that you'll notice that within your folder that you have two RAR files which you need to unzip by simply using winrail band z.7z and as well the biometer plugin and of course you also have the planned Library biomes.scat pack file now once you unzip this you'd also notice that within the plant Library Legacy we have the default Library Scat Pack file this is the file we need to install as we progress so we blender simply open right here all we need to do is go over to edit go over to preference and within the preference go over to your file path now within the file path you need to specify the folder for the plant library for blender 3.4 and above and for the blender Library Legacy and once you have that done you can save the preference and go all the way to add-ons to install the biometer plugin and click on preference and save this one more time once you have that done you can now press n on the keyboard and you'll notice that right here we have the biome reader so once you click on the biome reader these would ask you to select the surface so what we're going to do right now is to throw in a simple grid which will proceed to scale all the way up and then we can use the eyedropper and select the grid now once we select that grid we'll drag this all the way out now there is just one little housekeeping that we need to do and it is simple we need to click on open biomes now also click on open biomes we need to go over to file go all the way to install a Scat Pack file and from here we need to locate the plant Library Legacy and click on default library.scap so once we hit the install button and this installs everything is perfect now once you have that ready you can definitely go to town with this you'll notice that we have the plant library and we also have the plant Library Legacy so if you like to scatter things across any surface once you have that surface selected like we have the grid you can simply select any of these and click on the plus button and once you do that the Scat Pack file is a library of settings and it is responsible for all of the settings so automatically it simply generates all of this right there and you can see how cool it is so if you like this generate several pockets of vegetation of course you can go to town with that and do it as much as you want and once you're done you can preview this however you want light it however you choose and start rendering your beautiful vegetation and if you feel like editing's geometries you can proceed to edit this geometry and get exactly the kind of style that you're looking for this is also perfect for terrains and it is what mentioning that just like scatter this is supported for third party add-ons as well if you like to use this alongside tools like bugger pie or maybe vegetation of course you can so how you can play with this is pretty simple remember to everything that you're working on they rely on the emitter which is the grid so I can close that and once I do that and select any of the grids you would notice we have a system list for that I can select the second read and you notice we have another system list and I can select the third grid and find another system list we can select any of these things and start making changes so I can select the forest Clover and I can increase the density alright so you would notice that we're having that rapid density going we can bring that up we can drag that down if this is what we want and we can also go ahead and get the mossy Rock and play with the density if we like to have more of that less of that and this is for free and like I mentioned earlier this is just one part of the things that you can do with this beautiful add-on now let's talk about the second part which is definitely one of my favorites and what that is is this simple so if I throw in that simple grid one more time and then we click and drag out of here and because we're using blender 3.5 you definitely notice that we have way more than just one asset than we are supposed to which is the hair Essentials so what you want to do is go over to the plant library or maybe you want to go to the plant library for blender 3.4 now within the plant Library sections you would also notice they have bushes debris dry land flowers grasses lawn materials plants and rocks at the same time if you click on the drop down and go over to Legacy you have some very interesting things that you can also choose to play with so at this point we're looking at scattering a couple of plants and maybe a few rocks and then play with the material what you need to do is tap in on the keyboard go over to the bionic reader use the eyedropper one more time select this and because we would like to grab all of these from the asset browser what we can do is to click on the drop down from here and select browser selection so once we do that and go back to the plant we can select a few of these plants by holding down control and once we have the plants that we want we can click on scatter asset now what this means is you can scatter other things on a Surface because at this point you get to notice that it says viewport selection which means you can also use this for other forms of scattering and this is pretty cool so now that we have this here we can go all the way down to the density and increase the density of what we want and drag down the scale so we can drag that skill down increase the density and I want you guys to notice that all we have here is just one density scatter which means now we can go over to the Rock and we can make multiple Rock selections so I can select that and select these other one and then click on the scatter asset to load that in in now one thing which you notice is this is super brilliant at notifying you when you have heavy objects in your scene so we're just going to keep it as simple as it is click on OK and you notice that we have density scatter zero one so we have two different density scatters and one of them gets to do with several instances of plants which you can play with or make alterations too and we have another one that deals with procs and then focus and work on the Rocks which is also super cool and then to individual instances we can choose what we want and this is so cool because at this point we can choose to hide or hide these from view layers we can choose to delete them off if we want and we can hit the delete button and that disappears as well and you notice to each of them that we delete there is a couple of organizations that just simply happens so we just have that going in there and we can now choose to play with the density if this is what we want to go for or we can also choose to randomize the skill and if you do have vertice groups and you like to paint certain parts and use the vertice groups of course you can also choose to do that and in certain cases if you like to align this to several parts you can do that if you like to play with patterns of course you can also have fun playing with the patterns and this is also totally up to you and what you like to do with the vegetations that you have so we can proceed to turn this on and we can even throw in some more stuff let's to play with the scale to bring those ones down a bit and increase their density alright so now that we have that going we can now go over to the lawn section add some more stuff I'm just going to throw in a few actually let's just throw in some Forest moss and click on scatter and we have that there you can see those are beautiful throw in a few flowers in there let's also throw that in and you know the cool thing with all of this is at any point you can just simply double click and rename this and once you're ready you can proceed to render this and have the most out of it so depending on what you're trying to do or how you're trying to create vegetation for your scene you have access to a wonderful set of vegetation tools that you can now use from the biomes all the way to scatter tools that you can work with directly within the asset browser and all of this free stuff that you can just simply drag and drop into your scene as that creates an amazing piece this is now available and you can now proceed to grab them for free right here humble in the market if you shout out to books at bd3d for making this possible and if you like to go pro you might want to consider taking a look at the scatter addon which is considered as the best scattering tool for blender furthermore you can also take a look at the link in the descriptions and I'll show you several other vegetation tools that you might want to explore tell me what you guys think about this one in the comment section blender's free scatter addon is now available and this comes with a huge set of assets and functions features access to tools that you would want to use for your next project and of course if you like this video or you like something from this you can go ahead and give a like and don't forget to share with a friend and if I see you guys in the next one peace [Music]
