These Fish Went DEUCES WILD On Us!!!

[Music] hey y'all justin with kayak catfish well i'm out here today on a boat with my friend mark naraki mark here runs a fishing charter service in east tennessee called deuces wild fishing he's got a big what is this marca uh see big easy i mean this thing look right here folks we got couches up in here all kinds of deck space you can fish in comfort oh mark's boat but he runs this fishing guide service really busy spring summer fall but he had an open date today and he invited me out so i took him up on it so mark's getting set up back here he's getting some uh baits out he's putting on a planer board right now mark what are we gonna be doing out here today we are doing our best to look for uh big blue cats and uh pre-spawning catfish blue cast flatheads doing the dragging i love to drag along main channel ledges in front of creeks there's creeks coming up here we'll be dragging in front of um of course i drag because i'm lazy i like it i like your style because if i'm moving i'm finding the fish that are feeding okay otherwise if i gotta i gotta pull my rods up and start the boat and move and that's just too much work yeah yeah he folks he drags out here all the time with clients and this guy puts some big fish in the boat mark you got some big ones there last week didn't you yes in this uh specific spot we're at uh i put two 60s in the boat and another friend of mine putting 80 in the boat so we're hoping to find another one those are just huge fish and then late last week i missed a big one so we'll see what happens now you said you were getting them on small baits too right very very very small base in fact a skip jack there's a big guy this is what i'm preferring to use a skip jack and then use very small chunk of that skipjack opposed to putting out one of these skipjacks so i like right now they're seem to be eating these smaller jacks let's see that's something right there folks that is a helpful tidbit because you know right now if you've been watching my videos i've been catching a lot of fishing so in my mind i'm like oh these fish are really aggressive i need to put on bigger baits mark here has done the exact opposite of that went real small and he has caught again those whoppers there that he just mentioned so i mean those are huge trophy class fish out here where we're at so pictures are on my website with the dates and when we got two baits dragging directly off the back of the boat here and we've got two rods out on planer boards so he's got a four rod set up and right now we're what uh 60 60 feet 60 feet deep right now and the depth's going to vary all because again we're working up this ledge and we've got all these creeks that come in here to the main channel so he is on the edge of the main channel and we're just covering a nice spread down through here and hoping to run into some active fish that are either working up and down the channel or kind of staging out in front of these creeks as you know as we get into the the pre-spawn period here where now what is today mark uh march 22nd 22nd today so you know we're getting into that time the bite's really starting to pick up here in east tennessee so anyway we got the baits out this guy right here he's going to put me on them today let's try it out all right we got what hell i thought you just get let's reel down on this y'all catch up with him here there he is goodness man coming right at us yeah folks we were i told mark why don't you go ahead and get it it's like i thought you're getting it i don't know how to catch fish i just know how to put the bait that's right he's a fishing guide folks he don't ever get to reel him in himself i'm gonna get the big one i want the big one i know what size i knew that was a small one i couldn't handle a big one anyway i don't ever catch them not too bad would you fishing for about 15 minutes yeah 15 minutes two bites and one fish yeah man he comes straight at me i i thought he'd come off oh yeah we could back him in we got good rods yeah pass him over we're gonna go bill dance on this one folks just bring him in just like this and anybody's wondering about it from here to here is an 80 pound leader guys so i'd we're gonna yeah he's not gonna break that off and look something this size that old boy can maybe he came out got your hook there i'm gonna be nice i'm gonna let him keep that he worked hard for that yeah i mean you're generous i gotta let him have that bait i'd steal it right back out of his mouth no no no no go ahead buddy you can eat that he's a good guy folks here we go guys look muddy fish something you know i say this i caught a bunch of fish down below the dam the other day they were extremely extremely dark really these guys i've been catching up here have been extremely extremely light i don't know i don't somebody tell somebody to message justin and tell us why why below the dam there now we're in 60 foot of water here below the dam is 15 feet yeah probably could be the shallower depths maybe there we go all right folks that's fish number one let's hope some more is coming now mark i didn't mention earlier what what speed are we dragging at here well i'm trying to go 0.4 because the water temperature is still what 50 degrees 53 degrees so i try to go extremely slow okay so guys here i'll show you so we talked about small baits right it's going to do some chunks but this is an extremely small bait compared to what you guys normally see justin throw but i'm gonna flip this sucker over and i'm actually going to cut that gut pocket out and make it that small okay that's a yeah that's about a quarter size chunk there and before you guys message justin about me throwing bait in the water if one little piece of skip jack's gonna stop these fish from biting i don't need to be fishing here yeah i hear that a lot why why are you tossing that bait over and it's like well if that one bites gonna fill them up that ain't the one for me yeah we're in the wrong spot all right and so that's uh what kind of hook is that you guys this is a whisker seeker triple threat adot hook uh modified it's half it's a modified hook it's not quite a circle it's not quite a charlie brown um i really like the size gauge metal or wire they use um and and this is caught anything from one pound to 80 pound fish so it's a very good all-around hook i've had no issues with it very very happy with it and then we'll just do that and you've got about what a two foot three foot leader there yeah so uh we do 80 pound to the demon dragon to float it uh any float guys and then this is a different leader i use a 50 pound leader here because all of your abuse happens here so i just use a big 80 pound leader and then 50 pound and that's uh yeah i don't know what is that all about 24 inches 24 to 36 inches looks like it i have my first mate ties everything up so he has a specific he has a specific deal he's got hired help to tie his rigs for him i don't do that yeah folks that's his rig right there these rods it looks like he uses uh cat master rods so never snag anchors never snag anchors doc neversnankers.com and you got pen squall 20 wides 20s i love the 20 level ones and your dragon sinker there is drifting sticks right yeah drifting sticks i've tried a whole bunch of other ones i haven't bought a book on amazon to see how to make others i know i mean this guy right here makes his own dragon sinkers he won't use mine get me excited now reel that in this one i just snagged uh pop the board okay see now if you'd been using the sinkers that that catfish guy makes that one they never snagged well you think if i was good buddies with them i'd get one of them tens of dollars of books for free well ain't nothing free on this channel buddy ain't nothing free all right y'all let's wait on the next fish all right y'all here we go well it's gonna take off now ain't it mark's back here he's indisposed he's booking a trip right now time to drag a little bit on that it's supposed to be his turn y'all i've skipped his turn while he was on the phone we've been dragging though a little while i think probably a little over an hour now just working our way we stopped and spot locked here with this creek that comes in and now we're back on the move and we're still just running four rods here two directly off the back of the boat i keep wanting to say kayak it's ingrained in me and the two planer boards and we've actually come up let me see the depth we're 41 feet here so there is a we're at the main channel edge is over here it comes up and there's a there's a deep flat right over here and so we weren't doing any good over there in the main channel ledge so we've come up shallower over here been marking a ton of fish on the graph i just haven't been able to get him to commit until this one took off and again it's supposed to be mark's turn he's back here on the phone he's got the the level lines on his reel here i'm used to guiding with my thumb here this it's muscle memory at this point get this fish up here he's gonna be bigger than the last one that's for sure and i can't remember if this is a head or a body piece or or what here all our baits today are small everyone we've got out is should be about to see him up here on surface see some bubbles coming up out there yeah it's a yeah yeah not bad y'all so yeah he's he's over here wheeling and dealing folks he ain't got time to be my net man he's i'm trying to make a youtube superstar out of him but he's he's chatty kathy over here uh yes that's a good fish man that's a good fish here i get it you book your deal look at this folks that's why i don't use a net right here i suck at this all right you got the rod all right man yeah double check my outside of the lip awesome we're lucky to get that fish in when i say that hook wasn't coming out with [Music] that's what he eats y'all that small piece of skipjack i've been struggling lately for better quality fish and heck maybe my baits have been too big you know little things like that make a big difference as soon as mark gets done here in a second i'll get him to hold the camera and we'll hold this fish out but that thing right there man he's got some girth to him he's got some size to him that's one of the better quality fish i've got here lately what do you think you think you can get back to focusing on me now hey buddy i mean i gotta i gotta get people paying on the boat he's gotta get paid customers i ain't paying him a dime for today by gosh so you see what kind of treatment i'm getting but i promise you paying for a trip you'll get better than what i'm getting here i gotta compensate i gotta change up i'm gonna make some money for the trip i'm losing today hey well this was supposed to be your fish right here this was your turn dawg gonna you actually get to reel one in that's a good male that's a big male fish too yeah that's a good one is that the new tarp fish is that qualified i don't know i'm sure it would yeah that's probably 40 inches guys if you guys haven't heard yet what the tarp move up 36 i think it's 36 now is what i'd heard come on buddy that one would definitely qualify yeah he's being ornery though y'all somebody's some dumbass has put a a tag on him there they put a wire tie that's stupid uh let's let the biologists tag these fish you just people doing that kind of stuff it's dumb but uh anyway that's a good fish there's go he's probably 38 40 inches long i'd say here's a fun fight too mark could have experienced it but he was busy booking trips i can't catch a big fish like that i wouldn't know what to do hey guys don't forget these guys are clipped hard with these things always put you yeah this is this experience to talent talking here you're saying you've lost a pair or two i think so he's ready to go he's ornery yeah he is he was a good fight man nice well folks you know my channel anybody i fish with gets that got snagged you want me to help you with the net well i mean i had to net my own fish earlier so good net skills i'm getting practice at it here that's good let me let me have that at least they float all right folks well he's gonna get us hooked back up maybe we'll get moving again here what kind of problem you got back there now mark you drifted back a little too far huh yeah he's can reel in a little one this is a good one though i'm gonna guess this is gonna be close to a tarp fish i'm telling you okay all right i'm guessing that you're setting the bar high now buddy it's gonna be close don't don't disappoint my audience i'm married i'm all about disappointment you used to letting somebody down ain't you you used to use them not measuring up when it matters exactly hey it's a race i'm undefeated yeah i can relate to that the not the 97 percent of my audience that are men can all relate to it too i don't care what they say of course i'm married now it don't matter yeah it don't matter too expensive for to get rid of you hey this year will be 20 years but 20 years well congratulations and i'm sorry i haven't made it there yet i got a big job let me get back here and see if we can all right i don't know i was that's a fun sizer right there yeah uh last year's tarp program last year's start program keep moving the bar on me come on now yeah he's talking about that tennessee angler recognition program folks they send you a certificate if you catch a fish used to be 34 inches this year they've bumped it up apparently i think it's 36 now he's long though yeah he's a lot of fish i've been catching lately has been long and skinny what i mean how how awesome is it to reel in a fish though mark how long has it been for you you run so many dang trips you can't you can't ever just go fishing anymore yeah don't jinx me yet yet oh he hit on the head nope ate the headpiece all right yeah that's that's a fun size fish right there folks that's what i call the fun sizing i don't know he's probably 32 34 inches yeah you're doing the uh the competition right so what do you think he wouldn't make a competition he's over your 32-inch yeah he's probably over my my slot limit there still headpiece well yeah you can see how things been chewed on folks down there we've been having a lot of taps on these baits as we pulled along but they're just not committing oh he's he look boy look at this he's got an official ruler here yeah i want to make sure buddy i want to be on that tarp all right now you're going he's going to spend him five dollars here to which i ain't paying him you're going in the hole today on this trip now i catch a big and early you didn't want to measure it and you about 33 inches out there 33 and a half yeah that's a fun sizer nice yeah all right we let them go that's what we do around here so folks mark here is about to rig up this bait we're using that same head he just caught it on because it's still good shape overall and so he's going to cast that bait out there and and for those of you because i got a lot of people on my channel that fish out of a boat and this whole planer board fishing's really taken off the last few years since zach royce you know really got it going and caught them state record fish on it so mark here fishes with planer boards all the time so tell them what you do here mark to get it rigged up so i make sure i try to like in we talk about the fish being sent over the boat and they spread away from the boat and they go to your planter boards on the side so i cast it out directly to the side as far as i can i let that weight hit the bottom uh there hit the bottom so what i do i go ahead and i grab my line this on the board so now that that bait is going to be almost 50 yards or more behind this planter board okay and i clip this plate this goes to the line so it slides easy and then we have a quick release clip that goes toward the rod tip right it goes towards the rod tip so what happens is water catches that i got and that board pulls away from the boat okay and then this quick release clip when the rod goes down it pulls right off of there and then you don't have to fight that board back to the boat so i just simply put it back in the water and i just wait and watch that board float back and then the farther the boat the board goes behind the boat when we close the bale the farther out that board will spread the closer it is the boat you know more line more spread so i like this i like to go real long ways you can see it's caught here see that's all see how that works hasn't spread now yep but we're gonna go ahead and let out you know get 300 yards along and so you know when you're when you're running these trips all the time do you notice there are certain days where the boards are getting hit all the time and your rods directly off the back aren't and vice versa or absolutely absolutely it's you have these wonderful days where all rods get hit but for some reason most of my trips either boards will be all getting hit or all i call them the down line so we call them boards and down lines just make it easier when we have multiple on the boat but my down lines will get hit more than boards don't know why i don't know how it is i've caught 50s and 60s directly behind the boat here and i've caught 60s and 70s on the side so i just think big fish are like big people unless they move the better so if that bait hits them in the nose they're going to eat it so if it's this rod justin drops it straight down the kayak bumps him on the nose he's going to hit that one right there so yeah i think it helps a little bit to have wide boards but also when you're doing this you can show them there we're on the top of the ledge let's see if i can the glare i don't know if it's gonna show or not here hell i can't hardly see with my glasses on um yeah we're on the top of the ledge so therefore with the spread that we have going on in fact we have a we have a board here we have a board here we have a board here and we have our lines a line line line line so we're covering you know a swash of depths and this presenting as we talked today presenting more baits to more fish yeah yeah this this section of the river here folks it's kind of hit or miss out here but there are some really big fish in this stretch he's caught some of them here recently i mean monsters but this area here is not an area where you come out expecting to get 20 30 fish in a day it's more of a it's more of a quality over quantity type area and so like he's saying if we can cover a big swath you got another one on here i hope that's a fish and not a snag cause you got a good hook set there you've skipped my turn by the way oh yeah there we go man well you go ahead and reel that one in and i'll uh you owe me a 90 pounder now since you skipped my turn dog go in your hide he's swimming directly at the boat always a good sign when they swim up the river in the current yeah usually a bigger fish yeah well i ain't seen a whole lot of big fish on my channel lately so i'm i'm happy to see some today that one you uh let me skip your turn on earl's pretty good fish one of the better ones i've hooked into lately i don't remember what section of the bait this one was here was this one of the body pieces very very small chunks it's a pretty good i'm just waiting he's down there 43 foot of water i'm trying to see if he blows his bubbles yeah this is something mark's real good about this folks and i've mentioned on my videos is it's taking your time when you're fishing deeper water if these fish let them decompress on the way up sometimes they come running right at you and you know come up and you can't do nothing about it but for the most part they'll try to stay down and you can take your time and send them off swimming healthy tell us the story here mike you can't have all this downtime on the camera's right you got to be talking people fast forward hurt your average view time that's a youtube pro tip right there you got to keep talking to keep people engaged oh yeah so good good thing to tell you guys i put him on pressure here i put him on the spot oh yeah that's a tarp fish yeah that's a that's a good fish right there all right so you've caught you've caught two good fish in a row marcus they can't see that on video this is a this is a female fish how do you know it's female fish what's this how narrow the mouth and the head is probably not i probably can't zoom in enough to but you know what i'm talking about well i i always call him i always say i'm letting him swim off or whatever i never i never get down there and examine nothing no we don't i don't examine nothing you can you can educate us all here mark i'm going in now i'm busy i can't be doing no net jobs here i'm i'm working hard at this camera stuff here yeah i'm a terrible net man i'm a terrible i'm a terrible partner to having a boat because i'm just out here filming and looking damn good on camera that's what i do there you go that's another good fish folks i got got on a little stretch here and found a couple to hook up all right well we're gonna have to i'm gonna need the pliers on that [Music] well let me stop what i'm doing here y'all and getting the dang pliers yeah you gotta travel around nothing's at your fingertips here you go i know this old boat fishing stuff man nothing's nothing's within arm's reach for me [Music] that thing wasn't coming loose was he i think it looks like we have another fish on the way i tell you what though they're not biting they're not going crazy on the bite but man when we get them in the boat they're crazy yeah yeah they're andre when they get in here so see how narrow the mouth is [Music] we'll bring up another fish and it'll be the the mouth to be as big as the head yeah that's a male fish when it's narrow it's a female fish well the more you know how about that getting educated here folks i didn't know that let's see if i made it did i make it today let's see if you made it here i'm kind of i'm feeling bad that you made it tarpon i didn't today well you know i need to be the star of the show it's fitting that if i i catch the bigger fish but i had to hold it for it well you did that's kind of you didn't have to get dirty or nothing there he's he's going to be about 33 inches though so another good fish but you ain't getting that five dollar certificate that fish saved you money mark money that you ain't making off of me you need to thank that fish there we go if it's three inches bigger you'd been out some money today there we go all right well let's bait up and do it again folks it's going to put us another head piece on here that air is a little bit bigger got a lot of the meat there beyond the head i always want to see that blood yeah that's a good looking bait right there if you really want to know just always oh see how that's how it tastes oh nasty yep good he's going glow in the dark afterwards after doing that folks all our water people ask me all the time in the comments do i ever eat any of these fish the answer is no i don't we got contamination signs up here at every boat ramp saying don't eat them especially if you're pregnant or children or whatever i'm not pregnant hey you ain't pregnant well you kind of look like you might look like it on film and it feels ten pounds it's on that planer board rod you got him all right well marcus skipped my turn again he was standing back here we just missed one a little while ago he rebated and got it out he's standing back here and that rod on the other side of the boat the planer board goes down we just we were crossing over the channel here right these baits are out in the middle of channel right now we were going to turn and come over here and work this side and it's hooked up same size you think same size well it ain't been bad quality today not the same size not as big as yours well that's that's fine you know you can catch the smaller ones but as long as i got big fish of the day this video might make it to youtube i can't be having you show me up fishing guide or not i can't be having you showing me up out here well technically isn't every fish we caught caught by me well technically yeah i mean you've you've baited all the all i've done is set here on this couch all day and folks let me tell you these are some nice couches on the sea arc boat here i mean look at this you got all this space you can just sit sit here kick back and relax he does it all it's been a nice change of pace today so i always like fishing with him because he does everything for me he's got a really good setup here y'all and and you know as far as i get a lot of questions on this channel about people looking to book a trip here come out here and fish tennessee river this guy right here best guide i know in this area he catches a lot of big fish through the years and you know with this boat set up here you and your girlfriend wife kids whatever you're going to have a real comfortable trip family oriented family oriented deuceswildfishing.com you ever female fish all right so you can feel the belly it's pretty hard so i just massage from the back forward just keep doing it yeah he's gone that'll drive mark insane folks he's a neat freak he's already been wiping his boat down as he's got a little blood dripping from the bait and stuff that'll drive him insane heaven that catfish poop in his boat how much softer that is now see how much softer that is yeah so they should be able to go down if it's really really hard man their bladder is full there and it won't go down there there he goes back down more edge of my cat in there from the guide folks hey you got to keep these uh keep these fish healthy so you can catch them again that's right folks look right here y'all i may get me a turn at this i think he's you think he's got it he was hitting it let's just reel down i don't think he's there no no he is too we caught up with him mary i know he was swimming right at me again he's not one of big fish though oh he just he just come off right there yeah i didn't want to catch that in no way right on the back of the bait huh oh yeah look at that yeah it's all chewed up well folks that right there that fish i just let get off you can see how much they've ate that bait that was the one we put down there had all that meat on it and everything ain't a lot of that meat left you asked me about bait size this morning that's exactly why right there yep that wouldn't happen if you'd have one of them small baits on would you that's what you get for letting me talk into bigger baits the logo advertising here on my shirt now oh catfish man you always got a aba always be advertising you know all the all the gas i spent i'd have a fresh you know logo t-shirt ain't nothing free ain't nothing free all right guys we're about
