I Couldn't Keep The BIG Fish Off My Baits!

all right people catfish dave here gonna pretty much cut the intro to this video bottom line i had a good day out here so there's no time for talking it a lot of reeling in fish a lot of reeling in quality fish guys are asking me on on my comments about my gear one guy asked what's the stick looking thing that is a drifting stick that's the name of the brand drifting sticks uh basically they're designed to where they don't get hung up that bad you can lose them i've lost about two doing this and i've caught a lot of fish before i lost them you know i'm tying a basic swivel 80 pound test float to suspend the bait 10 odd mustang demon wide gap but you can't even find these right now and then to make weight changes if i want to just anchor fish with some heavy weight i'm using this sinker slide right here and i can easily take this uh dragon weight off and i can put on like an eight ounce pencil weight if i'm fishing heavy current that's my basic setup if i'm suspending baits of course i'm just using a regular short carolina rig with a sinker over the top no float most of my rods are these big cat fever heavies i'm a daiwa guy i like these seagates i don't like level wine yeah there it is oh yeah we got hooked up y'all finally a respectable fish that's a bite it's on that old white bass shoot they might not be that small [Music] another good fish man same little pocket of warm water [Music] on here looks like i hit the hot spot got a double on both these rods right here in this hot pocket of water another good fish i thought it was a small one but he was taking out the other side of the boat [Music] do another good fish right there i lost him let the line go slack there it is y'all another respectable fish man we'll just keep working this cove man see what's in we're going to work this cove we're going to see what's in here every pass we get a a good fish man 30 or better people have no idea what's swimming right out in front of their docks there she goes close to 30 pounds [Music] i need a bigger boat [Music] so [Music] not too bad still a quality fish quite a few of these in here today well all right people uh i still got plenty of daylight left i didn't come out here with a lot of bait and if i'm on fish sunday i need to come up with some skipjack it's going to be a long video to edit i could sit here and catch fish all day long bottom line man as i've hit this shallow water pattern these bat creek systems not where a creek flows in because that's the colder water there's the big creek out there and what i'm in is these little side coves that's where i've been getting all my big fish they're just bunched up in these little side coves right now this time of year and anywhere from eight to three feet of water i've made video after video caught big fish doing this pattern this time of year right now including a 62 pounder y'all already seen that video so either way it is a video there was fish in the video that makes it a fishing
