The ULTIMATE Elden Ring Iceberg

elden ring is a game that was developed by from software co-written by george r.r martin and published by bandai namco on february 25th 2022 the game takes place in the lands between a place touched by the influences of war and other beings leading to the state that we the tarnished find it in with the elden ring shattered and queen marika ruler of the land missing we're guided by grace to brandish the power of the elden ring and become an elden lord in the lands between throughout our journey we encountered demigods the offspring of america and countless environments and characters all of these combined to create a fascinating story left for us to piece together through hours of exciting gameplay so naturally with all of this lore just sitting there waiting to be discovered and shared it was only time until an elder ring iceberg chart would be made in this video we'll be taking a look at this iceberg chart posted to reddit and made by keyfrog0415 and if it wasn't obvious already this video will be full of spoilers for so many plot points and in-game topics you have been warned as we can see there are six layers to this chart and a lot of entries here relate to law and speculation hence why i've dubbed this chart the elder ring law and speculations iceberg and we'll be going through all of these entries from the top to the bottom from layer 1 to layer 6 and there is a lot to cover concepts in law you didn't even know was a part of elden ring and i'm super excited to show it to you all and thankfully a good friend of mine matt helped me with research for this video so shout outs to him but because of how much there is to cover occasionally i'll say apparently when presenting new information i'll say this because i wasn't able to find proof of some things in the description now with all of that being said i am very excited to say let's dive into the elden ring law and speculations iceberg [Music] [Music] so [Music] let's start off with the more introductory entries and i have just the one to kick things off with try fingers butthole the games in the soulsborne series allow players to leave messages for each other each message has to be structured in a certain way with players being able to do so from pre-made options and words why leave a message for other players to see well to help them out tell them what's coming up ahead or to just be a nuisance and tell everyone that there's a hidden wall every two meters anyway a popular phrase people like to leave near butts and characters in general is try fingers butthole a funny little play on words and of course this phrase has returned with all of its glory in alden ring and as a bonus we have a few new player created phrases that have become staples of the game we got fortnite obviously referencing the game fortnite these messages can usually be found in or around a fort very funny first off crouching and then let there be dung these messages can be found in high places usually accompanied by an emote of someone squatting insinuating that someone is taking a fat dookie on the lands from above and then we have oh you don't have the right oh you don't have the right in short you don't have the right oh you don't have the right maybe you don't have the right because you're maidenless another meme style phrase originating from elden ring this is said by white mask very when you first meet him in limgrave from this we were given meme after meme about having no wenches back to the topic of series staples patches this character has made his way into a lot of from software's game catalog and that includes elden ring just in case you didn't know from software is the game company that's created all of these games that you love anyway patches you might have seen him in demon souls or in dark souls you might also think that his first appearance was in demon souls but no his first appearance was in armoured core for answer a third-person shooter mechagame in for answer patches is a mercenary that the player fights in chapter 2 called patch the good luck and his mecca no count is equipped with a sniper and stealth equipment his biography is as follows this independent mercenary has more history on the field of battle than most piloting a strange-looking reverse-legged craft his favorite combat strategy is to snipe from the air or from concealed locations to catch his opponents off guard and what happens when you begin to kick his or his ally's ass he grovels for mercy that sounds like the patches we all know and love from there we've had him appear as patches the hyena in demon souls trusty patches in dark souls referenced in dark souls 2 as mild-mannered paint patches the spider in blood-borne unbreakable patches and lap in dark souls 3 referenced in sakura as aniyama the peddler and now in elden ring as patches the untethered he'll first confront you as a boss in murkwater cave where you can fight and then spare him making him a merchant from there his questline revolves around him doing some trolling while moving from place to place he'll then oddly become emotional and trustworthy and then he goes back to murkwater cave and will fight you again as a boss he'll surrender and then be a merchant again fun fact during redan's boss fight if he's summoned he'll return to his world after rp walking for a bit what an ass it wouldn't feel like a from software game without him or a character inspired by him now would it let's move on to something a bit controversial easy mode saga i know i know this saga began years and years ago all the way back at the original dark souls i would argue that it could have started at demon souls but that game was a bit too niche before the dark souls series took off this beautiful game introduced a lot of people to the challenge that from software would make a staple in their future games and what a staple it's become but this challenge has created discussion after discussion from game after game on whether or not the soulsborne series needs an easy mode getting good overcoming a difficult obstacle persevering enduring the glory that comes with conquering what others give up on no no easy mode more health for the player less damage dealt to the player increased damage the player can deal reduced enemy spawns more healing items better healing items better consumables more currency from fallen enemies no stamina bar no mana bar screw it infinite stamina and mana quest markers a more cluttered hud game-changing pre-order bonuses pay to win pve items and micro transactions did i exaggerate a little bit yeah but a lot of games have mechanics like these for better or for worse when it comes to the soulsborne series i think they would make the games worse the formula was made and adapted from game to game that's what gives these games their unique identity that's why we've seen complaints about getting quest markers and having a world overfilled with content the developers are doing their own thing and not copying the borderline average open world formula other franchises have gone down but do you know what's funny these games allow for a lot of player freedom and build variety and that's where the difficulty lies the way you play and how you progress ultimately decides the difficulty for example i chose to go into intelligence on my first playthrough because i like the ice and space magic and this was my build i also like to summon spirit ashes whenever i'm not co-opting with my friends do you see where i'm going here i finish the game with a playstyle that's easier to use compared to others and i really paced myself on my first playthrough too but do you want more of a challenge don't use summons or spirit ashes maybe don't use any ranged attacks or shields maybe use the goofy weapons want less of a challenge use summons or spirit ashes maybe use range attacks and shields use some meta items and cheese tactics follow a walkthrough make your own fun make your own difficulty now that we've gone through the more introductory entries we can move on to the final entry of the first layer multiple endings so far there are six endings that have been found four that make you the elder lord and two that have you reject the traditional role of the elden lord i'll be explaining them all starting with the age of fracture you must not inherit the frenzied flame when entering the earth tree and you need to choose to mend the elden ring after defeating the elden beast this is the default ending of the game where the player means the elden ring and becomes eldon lord ushering in the new age the fallen leaves tell a story of how a tarnished became elden lord in our home across the fog the lands between our seed will look back upon us and recall an age of fracture [Music] the age of duskbourne you must complete fear's questline receive the mending rune of the death prince and choose to use the mending rune of the death prince after defeating the elden beast for context this rune was created after fear used the curse mark of death on godwin's corpse to give him a second life as the first of the dead fear lays with him and bears the first of dead demigods which is the rune with this rune the player begins the new age of duskborn as the elden lord the principle of life within death is embedded into order and the lands between are blanketed by a washed out fog the fallen leaves tell a story of how a tarnished became elden lord in our home across the fog the lands between our seed will look back upon us and recall the age of the duskborn [Music] the blessing of despair you must get the mending rune of the fel curse from the loathsome dung eater by giving him enough seed bed curses and choose to use the mending rune of the fel curse after defeating the elden beast using this rune the player begins the new age as eldon lord but with a twist the lands between are now engulfed by a curse turning the sky into a diseased ether the dung-eater's objective was to defile corpses and spread his curse give me your blessing defile my flesh with a seed bed curse again and again until it is done until a cursed ring coalesces and my one day defile order itself countless i have killed and countless i have defiled and soon the fruits will be born hundreds will be reborn cursed and they'll bear thousands of cursed children who'll bear tens of thousands more a few of those will be born just like me and they'll kill and they foil and bless in my stead the rotten fools my fight was the grandest most brilliant of them all by using the mending rune of the fel curse we complete his life's mission more on that in the next layer the fallen leaves tell a story of how a tarnished became elton lord in our home across the fog the lands between our seed will look back upon us and recall the refiled curse that defined our age the blessing of despair the age of order you must complete the ever brilliant gold masks and brother corrin's questlines to receive the mending rune of perfect order and choose to use the mending rune of perfect order after defeating the elden beast this brings a new age of stability where conflict brought upon the fickleness of the gods no better than men emboldened by the flames of ambition is no more you know gold mask lamented over the fact that all the good and the great wanted in their foolishness is an absolute evil to contend with in simple terms those seeking greater power to further their ambition have a higher chance of presenting themselves as the greater good condemning their opposition as the greater evil that's what the age of order aims to prevent the fallen leaves tell a story of how a tarnished became elden lord in our home across the fog the lands between our seed will look back upon us and recall the age of order [Music] now we move on to a different type of lord lord of the frenzied flame you must meet with the three fingers through hayeta's questline imbuing you with the flame of frenzy and choose to become the lord of frenzied flame after defeating the elden beast this brings an age of chaos to the lands between as the player becomes the vessel for the flame of frenzy scorching everything in yellow flame and destroying the earth tree do this ending also has some other unique character choices completing the steps needed to get this ending locks you out of all other endings but can be reverted by using mykola's needle in dragon lord placidus's arena at crumbling pharam azula this reversal is permanent if you're imbued with the flame of frenzy before melano lights herself ablaze to set the urgery aflame she'll say this you have inherited the frenzied flame a pity you are no longer fit our journey together ends here and remember should you rise as the lord of chaos i will kill you as sure as night follows day such is my duty for allowing you the strength of runes goodbye my companion goodbye torrent completing the game from here with the flame of frenzy gives you a secret cutscene which goes as follows lord or frenzied flame i will seek you as far as you may travel to deliver you what is yours destined death destined death according to finger reader enya is the second name that the rune of death goes by the same rune that queen america removed from the elden ring interesting we'll talk about the implications of that later in the video and alternatively you could let her burn the earth tree and then inherit the flame of frenzy not letting her know what you did and then burn everything to the ground and that's really cruel no secret cutscene though but anyway let's move on to the sixth ending the age of the stars you must complete ronnie the witch's questline and use ronnie's blue summon sign after defeating the elden beast ronnie surpasses marika as goddess and takes the player to be her elden lord she brings an end to the golden order and establishes her own order most likely related to or similar to the dark moon and with the golden order gone the greater will's influence on the lands between is no more let us go together my dear consort eternal so in short the greater will is an outer god this being created the elden ring bestowed it onto america and gifted its grace to the people of the lands between through the earth tree it peaced out during the shattering turning its back on the lands and people back to the age of the stars with ronnie removing the greater will's influence from the lands between her the player and i suppose marica's corpse maybe begin a thousand year journey this leaves the lands between with no deity figure or ruler for the first time in an age and those are the six endings that we know of but why do i say that we know of well there is one more ending and a rumored cutscene being investigated this ending is well i'll explain it later considering that it has its own entry now what about this cutscene that i mentioned i remember hearing that investigation went underway to see if a special cutscene involving melaner would appear if you do something along these lines have melana leave you for inheriting the flame of frenzy use mikola's needle to get rid of the flame and initiate the rainy ending but unfortunately it doesn't look like another secret cutscene was found and that's where the multiple endings end for now [Music] let's start this layer off with a bang dong eater doesn't eat poop i'm sorry to disappoint you all but he doesn't just eat poop despite his name the most likely explanation for his title is the fact that he is blasphemous towards the golden orders values leading to people perceiving him as an evil and vile force i bet that you also think that but let me explain for the loathsome dung eater despite his villainous status let me give him a case firstly i already pointed out his life's goal which is to inflict a curse on the people of the lands between that'll be passed on from generation to generation when he defiles a corpse to spread the curse a seed bed curse grows on the corpse the item description reads as follows cursed groan on a corpse killed and defiled by the dong eater a tender pox afflicted with omen horns the dung eater cultivates the seed bed curse on corpses by doing so he prevents the dead souls returning to the earth tree leaving them forever cursed one of the most loathsome things found in the lands between looking at the corpses he's defiled they all seem to have injuries on their nether regions implying that dong-eda might spread his curse by defiling his victims genitals the seed of man that could be why all of his victims look male we even see proof of this process happen to a man black guard big bogart after he sets up shop just outside the capital's walls now looking at his armor we can see what i first believe to be teeth all over it but really they're omen horns that have been cut off after all the dung eater's armor set is called the omen set and he's not an omen as seen in garden of eiser's video elden ring all npc faces without helmets unmasked we can see similar imagery on the omen ban and regal omen ban items with ban meaning baby in old english and the omen band missing as horns as the item description states omen babies have all their horns excised causing most to perish these fetishes are made to memorialize them please don't hate me or curse me please the regal omen ben's description states something different omen babies born of royalty do not have their horns excised but instead are kept underground unbeknownst to anyone imprisoned for eternity these memorial fetishes are fashioned in secret if it wasn't obvious enough omen cursed creatures are treated like filth we even see something similar from our blacksmith smithing master hugh who is a misbegotten and a prisoner trapped by the hold undying made to smith forever back to the omen's suffering the omen killers wear masks carved in the image of the evil spirits that haunt the omen in their nightmares and their weapons are made of amputated omen horns perhaps we also see these spirits when we use the omen bands or the sword of milos margaret morgot and his twin brother moog omens born of royalty under queen america and godfrey horns intact and why did i say margaret morgot because apparently they're the same person just under different names we have a similar situation with moog lord of blood and moog the omen but it's unclear what the omen version is in margaret morget's case his remembrance states that he took it upon himself to become the urge trees protector he loved not in return for he was never loved but nevertheless love it he did royalty or not omens were treated like trash because of their biological curse we see this practiced in the subterranean shunning grounds underneath the capital the regal omen band's description suggests that these omen are royalty but are kept underground to be hidden for all eternity and who else do we find in these sewers the loathsome dong eater locked away near those of the omen curse now we've come full circle just like the omens those afflicted with the seed bed curse cannot return to the earth tree but are reborn cursing their bloodline forever this goes against the golden order something that dung eater could have been a part of some time in his past the omen's armor's description states that the sun-shaped medallion represents the guidance he once saw and the ring to which it will one day lead this description is strikingly similar to the radiant gold masks its striking design represents both the brilliant inspiration that once shot upon him and the vision of a ring that he will surely find at the end of his pursuit they both seek a ring with these rings possibly being represented by the mending runes the players receive for completing their quests they're like a yin and yang one is for urgery resurrection and the other is not and how do we get the rune of the fel curse by defiling the dong eater in a similar way to what he did to so many others the dong eater siding with the omens he aims to make everyone cursed with the skies sharing similar imagery to the omen ban and his omen armor set everyone is turned into a monster making no one a monster staying on the topic of omens omen shackles as pointed out in the previous entry omens are treated terribly two different types of shackles are found throughout the game that bind omens to the will of the urgery whether they like it or not the two of them are physical shackles and there's a possible third shackle phrase these are physical shackles and a possible phrase they look and act differently to hugh shackle his purpose in the round table is to smith a weapon for the player to slay a god after completing most of the game's main questline hugh becomes free of his chains but he stays at the round table smithing for the player before the chains break you can catch him praying and this is what he says oh your divinity have mercy and brought me forgiveness the road is yet long a god is not easily failed but one day without fail you will have your wish so please grant me forgiveness your divinity queen marika he's clearly under the impression that he owes a lot to america and needs to complete his mission for her sounds a lot like he's been brainwashed into thinking he requires forgiveness for being born the way he was now what about the omen shackles ones tied to specific characters margaret's shackle a fetish bathed in golden magic shackles were used to bind the accursed people called the omen and these ones were made to keep a particular omen under strictest confinement though faint the shackles still retain vestiges of power enough to trap the once bound market on earth if only for a short time this can be used two times per battle against margaret morget to temporarily trap them but only during their first phases moog's shackle gives us the same description and can be used on him in the first phase to temporarily trap him twice per battle too despite the mistreatment of hugh and margaret moorgate because of their biology they still devote themselves to the golden order for their own reasons whether that be for forgiveness devotion to be loved or honestly a bit of everything also there's one more thing we need to talk about regarding these special shackles how margaret's and moog's shackles interact with the world for starters they can be used to interact with illusory walls revealing what's behind them but can they be used on the notorious 50-hit wall we'll talk about that one later you can also use them to interact with the flame and ice thorough poles in catacombs making them rise or fall but here's something the shackles can do that i haven't seen documented anywhere online using them near raya in lyonia of the lake activates her protective shield when i first found this during eldon ring's first week of release i thought she was margaret and i thought that the shackles were the necklace that was stolen from raya by patches obviously this isn't the case because your boy bogart stole a necklace and you can buy it from him for 1000 runes oh and shout outs to nutty's cool for testing this out for me but these twins shield also activates when a shackle is used whether or not these uses for the shackles were intentional is up for debate but it does give us some insight on how they might be coded i reckon the most likely explanation is that they give off an aoe attack when used that does zero damage illusory walls as explained in zuli the witch's video elden ring was wrong with the illusory walls are found to have 9999 hp when a player's attack hits it no matter the damage an event triggers that has the wall fade away and there you go just like rolling and jumping margus and moog shackle does zero damage wall gone now what about this third shackle phrase it's not exactly a shackle frankly i don't know how else to describe it but it's definitely a phrase the omen cleaver a weapon awarded to the omen as a tool of war which they use to attack us the pattern etched upon the blade is the remnant of a deteriorating male addiction indeed when bestowing a weapon preparations must be made for taking it away a male addiction is a magical word or phrase uttered with the intention of bringing about evil a curse could this be a shackle a phrase to disarm the omen if one turns against their captors a phrase that works against their curse convoluted family tree the golden lineage have a family tree that's fairly complicated regarding character relations and interactions but hey that's family life for you to start we have godfrey aka horolu the first elden lord queen marika the eternal ratagon of the golden order and ranala queen of the full moon godfrey and marika were a couple and they birthed the twin omens margaret morget and moog and godwin oh godwin murdered on the night of the black knives being the first demigod to perish in america's rule and then the shattering happened but wait there are more relatives malekith the black blade who also goes by gurang in the beastial sanctum the stone of gurang in gurang's beast claw item description states long ago gurang was a beast of such terrifying ferocity that his former name meant death of the demigods marika gave him the rune of death to god hence why malekith's name would have meant death of the demigods he's also america's half-brother and o'shadow which i'll elaborate on specifically the part about shadows in the next entry but anyway godric the grafted a scion of the golden lineage hinted to be part of the godfrey america side of the family tree just really far down it his remembrance has this to say a feeble man sought power through the grotesque act of grafting he clearly looks up to godfrey he's patriarch his axe is emblazoned with the figure of a beast representing the strength of godfrey and when he defeats you he exclaims but here's something interesting why would a powerful demigod part of the golden lineage be regarded as feeble because he was never powerful marika's god genes weren't passed down all too well to him and that's why he resorted to grafting he wanted to be like his fellow golden lineage members melana tells us at the capitol outskirts that marika said the following in america's own words hear me demigods my children beloved make of thyselves that which he desire be as a lord be it a god but should he fail to become ought at all you will be forsaken amounting only to sacrifices yeah that's that's a lot of pressure and it led to godric biting off more than he could chew as an example we can even find a great sword monument at the site of his battle between melania the severed the blade of mykola his half-sister he had insulted her and they battled obviously he lost but this was a major loss leaving him grovelling at her feet begging for mercy which she gave he tried so hard to be something but he didn't have the proper strength or mindset to become anything of value oh and there's another grafted we have to look at further reading the item description of the remembrance of the grafted one day will return together to our home bathed in rays of gold considering that godric also says this when defeated he could be referring to godfrey returning home with him maybe other members of his family too which means that maybe just maybe he's referring to god freud the grafted another member of the golden lineage through godfrey and marika ah did you ever hear the tragedy of godfrey the grafted i thought not it's not a story the golden order would tell you it's a grafted legend you can find him in the golden lineage ever jail located in the atlas plateau he was at least partially responsible for the first siege on lane dell he was defeated and then captured by your boy christoph the ancient dragon knight you know this spirit ash and that's why he's in the ever jail he seemed to have suffered the same issues godric had in his life but he didn't get as far he will not be returning home bathed in rays of gold but now it gets even more complicated from here nefeli the barbarian looking girl you first find in stormville castle she's there to kill godric you also find out that so gideon ofnia the all-knowing is nefeli's adopted father nefeli never knew her biological father but we put the pieces together after learning of her last name and her father's nephili lou who else shares that last name horolu aka godfrey then who's the mother who knows but it's definitely not marika godfrey took up his not so godly other name horolu when he joined the badlands warriors becoming their chieftain this happened because marika thought he was a bit of a baiter for losing his fighting spirit most likely from suppressing his ceaseless lust for battle that rages within him thanks to serosh the beast regan on his back then he was exiled and also became the first tarnished it seems like america was plotting against the greater will since godfrey and many other tarnished went to other lands battled for america died and revived thanks to the o-tree in the hopes of strengthening them i mean come on she even imprisoned hugh to smith a godslaying weapon for the tarnished this god most likely refers to the elden beast the proof's all there getting back on topic what does one do when his wife exiles him from his home and lands women new baby not a demigod but an absolute beast like her father ironically too she becomes the new ruler of limb grave thanks to kenneth height something godric could never respectfully achieve now hold on before moving on to the other side of the family tree i have to talk about melano a possible child of marika her in-game dialogue gives us possible hints to this as an example she stated she was born at the foot of the earth tree marika is the only woman to have set foot at the er tree and melano's internal file name marika of daughter is also a massive hint i'll explain more about that later on in the video and that's been one side of the family tree let's move to radagon and ranala they first met on the battlefield as enemies but then they became lovers uniting the houses of the oak tree and the moon they had three children starscourge radhan the big man that wants to die a glorious death in battle reichard the lord of blasphemy willingly eaten by the blasphemous serpent and rani the snow witch who didn't want to be a puppet for the two fingers however once godfrey left the lands between radagon slid into america's sheets becoming her new husband the king consort and the second elden lord they birthed two children melania the uh the uh rotussi uh the uh sorry i just got i just got a bit light headed there anyway and uh mikala the unalloyed these two siblings are a curious case melania was born and cursed with scarlet rot something the sealed god of scarlet rot gave her she also fought her half-brother radan infecting him with rot got tired and was sent to the halak tree by her homie clean rot knight finlay but what about her brother mikala he was cursed to be perpetually young and was the one that created the unalloyed gold that subdues the influence of the outer gods for example melania's rot and the frenzied flame he also grew the helic tree by watering a sapling with his blood and he tried to embed himself in it but uh oh his half brother mo cut him out in his sleep form and took him in with the hopes of raising mykola to full godhood status utilizing the power of the formless mother and outer god but now back to the topic of melania gauri the once great sage points out something very interesting after millicent visits his shack and leaves my daughter why would you take out the needle if you were so close so very close to becoming the fairest of all flowers would you disown us too as your mother did we children of the scarlet rot millicent millennia do you detest us so utterly melania her daughter is millicent but it doesn't end there she has four other daughters mary maureen amy and pollyanna and you can help millicent defeat them all or help them defeat her so she can blossom so who's the father gary refers to millicent as his daughter but it could be in some sort of adoptive way gary raised her and her sisters so they would all blossom maybe melania has some sort of asexual reproduction did did someone did someone touch the rotussi who knows i oh man oh i'm feeling dizzy i need to get up i what's going on oh my god i think i need i think i need some water i i'm back oh tree revival or whatever i've been informed that i need to continue on with the video so continuing on with the family tree regression alone reveals secrets america is ratagon you can find this out by using the law of regression incantation in front of the statue of ratagon and then bam marika followed by radagon is marika and that begs the question have they always been each other's other halves only living in separate bodies until coming back together or did they become one for the first time after their marriage does that make ratagon and rinala's children demigods too radhans and reichard's great runes do say that they become demigods step children after radagon's union with marika rani is also considered a demigod and was imperian a being born of a single god how is that the case if her parents are radagon and ranala it could be the special condition with her being chosen by her two fingers as a candidate to succeed marika either way she was one but slew her own imperian flesh burning and casting it away she then moved her soul into a lifeless doll vessel which apparently looks like her former master more proof is that imperiants are given shadows in the form of wolf-like creatures marika has malakath who is eternally hungry and in want of death root i already pointed out that he's marrica's half-brother which would also make him part of the newman race like her ronnie has blyth as a shadow and he went crazy conflicted with keeping his allegiance with rani and the two fingers that is the shadow's secret they will hunt down their imperium master if they go against the golden order until either one is killed now what about melania and mikala they're empyrean considering that marika and radagon are two parts of the same person we don't see their shadows so do they have one each anyway i got a little sidetracked there but to summarize marika and radagon became two sides of the same person one who caused the shattering of the olden ring and one who is attempting to repair it whether or not they were always one being or became one after their marriage is up for debate in either case they are one being during our time as the tarnished in-game sharing a sentence for america's actions original radon fight an original fight i can't find any info or proof anywhere that would suggest that there was another idea for the fight against radon that is considered the original however there is proof that radhan's boss fight was unintentionally nerfed in the game's 1.03 patch making the 1.00 base game to 1.02 the original radar fight and patch 1.03 to 1.03.2 the changed one so what happened march 17th 2022 patch 1.03 comes out and oopsy poopsie's redone's fight was made easier when a few of his attacks were unintentionally made weaker apparently he's damaged from melee attacks and some ranged attacks were reduced along with reduced attack hitbox sizes but then patch 1.03.3 came rolling in on the 4th of april 2022 weed day radon takes a fat hit from the booth and he's patched to be at full power again i love his boss fight it's one of if not my favorite fight in the game the concept of fighting a demigod with a bunch of npc summons like it's a raid boss really tickled my fancy and when he goes into the skies and comes crashing down so [ __ ] cool i think he has some of the most enjoyable boss move sets to master alongside a few others i've enjoyed what can i say i like the bullet hell and unique approach to the fight any percent speed run warps historically warps have been a major part of any percent speed runs the legend of zelda ocarina of time is a great example of this requiring a speed runner to wrong warp to the end of the game from kikiri forest the starting town of the game if they want to compete with the best runners and of course elden ring has its own style of warps one of these are map wrong warps you can do this by using a memory of grace and a map warp in succession from each other as an example shown in the video how to double wrong warp in elden ring speedrun strat hard method by easyscape clips and vods you can get to crumbling pharah missoula early by using the portal to the pharah missoula preview at the four belfries once there use the memory of grace select the stormhill shack grace on the map and select to warp there if done correctly you'll spawn at the shack's default spawn location which is out of bounds which is a wrong warp to unstable ground from there quit the game load back in and the game won't let you load back in on unstable ground so it loads you in at the default spawn location of the last place you were standing in which would be crumbling farah missoula another wrong warp in doing this you can hit the first side of grace in the area something you can't do using the belfry portal so you would not only have completed a map wrong warp but an unstable position wrong warp 2 as shown when map warping to stormhill shack's default spawn location plus you get to skip a lot of the game which is the whole point of the warp but unfortunately this was patched in version 1.04 of the game but you can do something similar by instead map warping to castle ward tunnel you can also force quit wrong warp as seen in the elden ring force quit wrong warp video by alt f4 this requires you to warp from an area and then force quit the game making it lose your exact position loading back in you're sent to the default location of the area you warped from here's a pretty cool wrong warp map found on the speed souls website that color coordinates the different types of wrong warps that lead to unavoidable deaths are safe usually get you stuck out of bounds or can lead you to america warp which is done when you wrong warp into a kill box near a stake of america allowing you to respawn there creating potential skips all of the resources mentioned in this entry will be linked in the description 50 hit illusory wall but not just one two can be found near volcano manor right here in this passageway which links up to the manor itself as stated in the omen shackles entry in layer 1 it was found that illusory walls have 9999 health but an event triggers when a player attack hits them causing them to fade away now the problem with these two walls is that they have 9999 health but no trigger for them so you were able to hit them until they disappeared revealing an area behind them in volcano manor i say were able because they've been patched as of the 1.04 update no more legendary 50-hit illusory walls and these snails might have something to do with it if you break the wall and they follow you into the manor you can't attack them due to the area being a safe zone so the mana would have a snail infestation unless you kited them out of there or you know they could have been good pets and for the final entry of the layer we have completed coliseums there are three coliseums found throughout the game that we aren't able to enter they're located in limgrave caled and lane del but what were they used for if we can't enter them the item description for the ritual shield talisman holds the answer the practice had died out by the age of king consort ratigan but remains of the arenas where ritual combat took place can still be found in every land gladiator-style battles but we can't enter the colosseums because there's nothing to do there since they're not used anymore but we can still speculate for a future use for the areas dlc one that takes you to these colosseums to fight may be to fight in a certain time period like the past considering that's when the colosseums were used what kind of fighting would we see a wave mode a one-off boss battle who knows but actually shakiroduby on youtube made a video trying to explain the mysteries of the coliseums in this video the insides of the place are shown speculations are made and more if that sounds ending cutscene well according to the frontline gaming japan aka fgj article eldon ring rani's age of stars ending mistranslations explained there are a number of mistranslations and localization changes for this ending for starters the lions here making it the chill night that encompasses all reaching the great beyond and into fear doubt and loneliness [Music] as the path stretches into darkness have been noted to be mistranslated from the original japanese dialogue fgj recommends a more literal translation to clarify the meaning of the japanese dialogue which goes as follows i shall her own dark path confused that's fine luckily you can talk to ronnie's doll in her room after completing her questline and she explains everything to you i take it that was noticed i shouldn't be surprised i thought i might expound a little further upon the order i envision mine will be an order not of gold but the stars and moon of the chill night i would keep them far from the earth beneath our feet as it is now life and souls and order are bound tightly together but i would have them at a great remove and have the certainties of sight emotion faith and touch all become impossibilities which is why i would abandon this soil with mine order what's thou come to me even now my one and only lord what what's that what what it's been mistranslated as well ronnie's basically saying that she wants to remove the greater wills and the golden order's influence from a lands between but then it starts to sound like she wants to remove sight emotion faith and touch from everyone which really isn't the case again fgj coming in clutch giving us another literal translation about my order my order will not be of gold but of the stars and moon and chill night i want to keep it far away from this land even if life and souls are one with the order it could be kept far away if it was not possible to clearly see feel believe in or touch the order that would be better this translation gives us much needed context for our ending a quote from the article ronnie believes that while the order may have to exist as it is intertwined with life and souls it causes problems for the people her solution is thus to take it and leave keeping it far away where people cannot see feel touch and believe in it embarking on a journey into fear doubt solitude and darkness to do so hands down the best ending the author of the article states that their translation might undergo rewording if it was implemented into the game but either way they make the ending so much easier to understand and as reddit and a few streams so it seems like this place is bustling rules are simple for fight clubs too you have the host who tries to make the arena look pretty and well they then summon two players who battle it out for the glory of victory there are some conditions that have to be met during the fight too for starters no healing but i've seen people chug all of their flasks at low health to start the fight again sort of like a round two spamming magic projectiles and running away seems to be a bit frowned upon too there's a few other fight clubs found at the rayo lucario's academy the smoldering church and the first grace at the start of the game miyazaki foot fetish take a look at demon souls dark souls dark souls 3 you know what chuck bloodborne and sakura in there too why not and that's the proof people use but why not dark souls 2 because he didn't direct the game but now we have eldon ring and the jokes have caught up to him apparently miyazaki stated in an interview that the jokes have made him feel self-conscious he wanted melania to have bare feet during the second stage of her fight but multiple team members informed him of the jokes and how his western stell spell stealing its night sky 2 as stated in its remembrance it is an optional boss but is required to beat to progress ronnie's questline allowing the player to continue to the moonlight altar when defeated it drops runes and the remembrance of the natural born allowing you to purchase the ash of war waves of darkness or bastard stars from anya so what about estelle stars of darkness a returning variation of estelle the natural born found deep within a cave it is far more powerful than its original counterpart and is able to summon illusions to trick those who challenge it so this one is considered to be more powerful but it doesn't have a remembrance associated with it meaning it isn't considered as a legend that's rough buddy try destroying a city next time you can find it located in the yellow ilove yilalf yaloff whatever it's pronounced annex tunnel consecrated snowfield defeating it drops runes as well as the meteorite of a stell spell the title natural born may refer to how this estelle was created bastard star's description states that the weapon is formed of the same many coloured star debris that comprise the form of the natural borne of the void so star debris but what is stars of darkness estelle's deal who knows he just appeared in the lands between from the stars too prydeling pate trap souls this is more of a theory but it paints an interesting picture for us souls trapped in a clay sculpt malforming the clay into a barely recognizable face we have eight of these and they all say something different when blown into hello thank you apologies please help let's get to it my beloved wonderful and you're beautiful most of these sculpts are described as being in the shape of a human head except for the your beautiful one which is described as the shape of a demi-human head ironic considering that you can use this item near bach the seamster a demi-human at the capitol when he starts talking about how he considers himself ugly hearing it coming from you his master all thanks to the demi-human shaped your beautiful sculpt lights up his world and hey there's a chance that you were able to do this because someone or a group of people dark souls series they're called carvings moving on to more theory talk gideon saw the outer gods gideon opnia is a character found at the round table surrounded by an endless amount of books living up to his title as the all-knowing that'll help you out on your journey he does this by sharing his knowledge and rewarding you by sharing yours so gideon seems like a homie right but he snaps and attempts to stop you from becoming elden lord before this snap gideon will tell you that the round table will burn just like the o tree does he then goes on about staying for a little while longer to maintain the title of all knowing so some time while the player goes through crumbling pharah missoula to claim the rune of death gideon goes rogue when confronted at the capital of ash he states [Music] i knew you'd come to stand before the elden reign to become elden lord what a sad state of affairs i commend your spirit but alas none shall take the throne queen america has high hopes for us that we continue to struggle unto eternity and when defeated in my bones a tarnished cannot become a lord not even you a man cannot kill a god what he said goes against everything that we've learned as i've pointed out already america enslaved huge to forge a weapon to slay a god for the tarnished people that are revived after death in the hopes of making them stronger so what did gideon see or hear that would give him the impression that marico would want us to struggle to kill a god for an eternity you could argue that he saw the elden beast due to the path into the archery being open but then how would he have gotten past radagon let alone pass godfrey and that's why we can theorize that he saw the outer gods the greater will the one who instilled order to the lands between but during the shattering it turned its back on the lands or maybe the outer god of chaos the frenzied flame this is the opposite of order the greater will the outer god of wounds the formless mother the one moog adheres to maybe the outer god known as the dark moon the stars and the primeval current ronnie fears it and rightfully so sentient moons are no joke the goddess of rat the one who cursed melania sealed away by a blind swordsman presumably in the lake of rot for this theory to work we assume gideon saw one or many of these outer gods in person but now we need an event that he would have had to have gone through to see them he doesn't leave the round table all game until we find him at the ashen capital so whatever happened whether it was because he saw the outer gods or not gideon's motives were influenced and changed why out of fear of what he had read or seen out of a realization did he find something out while reaching into the realm of the all-knowing something his weapon's unique skill does he does have a lot of ears on his armor set so does that have anything to do with it however his dialogue when killed does suggest that he's making an educated guess or following a gut feeling more than anything stating i know in my bones and ironically the all-knowing was wrong a god can be killed but do we fight a wounded elden beast do we fluke the wind after all it did have a giant scar on its belly godskin hunt justified let's present everything about the hunt and then decide if it was justified the hunt was led by the glomide queen an imperium chosen by the fingers she had a following of apostles that would go and hunt gods they wielded a power the black flame which could slay these gods utilizing the power of destined death the scouring black flames incantation states that the black flame could once slay gods but when malakath sealed destined death the true power of the black flame was lost so we can conclude that these hunts happened before marika removed the rune of death from the elden ring and the fingers may have been okay with it it's also suggested that these hunts were all very cruel and were probably enjoyable for the apostles of course they would have been they wielded powerful black flame incantations like black flames protection their armor within noble presence once a sign of the god's wrath this incantation became a trophy of the nobles god hunt and other incantations like the black flame black flame blade black flame ritual and scouring black flame it's no wonder why they had fun they were invincible protected by the black flame and could wield it in many different ways but that's not the end of it killing their targets wasn't enough looking carefully at the godskin noble and apostle armor we can find body parts and faces all throughout it it seems that the weapons the godskin peeler and the godskin stitcher were used to bore into the flesh of their victims carve out their skin and stitch it back together as clothing taunting their deceased victims and future ones the gloam-eyed queen even used a stitched together swaddling cloth to cradle newborn apostles swaddled in this cloth soon they will grow to become the death of the gods great i guess the godskin hunt also seems to be connected to diminula the windmill village and its festival the celebrants of the village dance and dance until they stop which then they'll try to kill you their weapons are crafted from human bones and skulls that are too large in size to be human that are used as ceremonial tools pair that with a spirit you can find in the village who begs not to be skinned and the godskin apostle boss found in the village it paints a pretty grim picture a picture of a festival where people's bones are turned into ceremonial weapons to skin other people just like the godskin used to do to the gods so was the god skin hunt justified perhaps we have no idea what these slaughtered gods did to deserve their deaths and death was it their status and overall treatment of common folk did they hold too much power why not give your opinion about it in the comments section now for the final entry of the layer we have alexander is full of dead bodies iron fist alexander is a large living jar with a glorious fight-filled questline and yes he is full of dead bodies firstly let's look at the jar species as a whole when defeated they explode in a shower of meat and blood the raw meat dumpling consumable tells us that it is not recommended for those who prefer to know the origin of their meats the warrior jar shard dropped by alexander if fought before crumbling pharah mazula states scrapped of stewed flesh cling to the shard and tatters of ornaments can be seen mingled within the slime relics of ancient royal warriors perhaps given that the talisman's effect is to boost the attack power of skills this hints to us that the living jars fill themselves up with parts of warriors corpses to become stronger beating alexander at crumbling farah missoula gives us the shard of alexander which is a better version of the warrior shard but why is it better from the adventures alexander has been on alongside you scraps of stewed flesh cling to the shard and tatters of ornaments can be seen mingled within the slime relics of a redhead champion it would seem tatters of ornaments meaning multiple warriors relics of a redhead champion radon why else would he participate in the festival to make himself a stronger warrior now finally alexander's innards also dropped by him in crumbling farah missoula a keepsake of the warrior jar alexander found at the core of the dead flesh that once filled the great jar the jars contained drags inherited from those who came before thus are warriors passed from jata jar carrying dreams of greatness this is their culture their calling here's to alexander a full of life warrior that overcame many shared obstacles with us in the name of glory and greatness in the end we it actually have been used in our physiques as it states maybe putting dream mist in a physique would have allowed for a similar result to spirit ash summoning who knows it's always fun to theorize and speculate what could or would have been a link to the twitter thread will be in the description and that brings us to the next entry cut torrent attacks as shown in another zulie the witch video torrent has some cut animations and an attack the animations include shaking of the mane eating grass and the attack is a buck that launches enemies into the air unless they're too big it's possible that torrent could have been independent of the player at one stage perhaps similarly to how roach behaves in the witcher 3. the animations and attacks still work if the player is writing torrent too new again feel fresh this is hands down one of the most freshest gaming experiences i've had in a long time there's a lot to love here and yeah the game's not perfect but everything that's been poured into the game creates an overall enjoyable experience for a lot of people this sort of approach to game development has annoyed people too who are expecting more original ideas from the game also just in case you didn't know eldon ring was made on the same engine as dark souls 3 the proprietary engine so no matter what they'll always be comparisons to other from software games especially dark souls 3. false lobster around a gazebo found near the rose church and boyle prawn shack in lyonia of the lakes you can find four crayfish but for the sake of this entry we'll call them lobsters three of them are hitting some fat z's and one of them is patrolling the area killing the one that patrols will have it reveal its true form a grafted scion once defeated it'll drop a larval tear you can find other similar enemies that are disguised as something else in limb grave you can find a wandering noble near the agile lake south side of grace uh-oh it's a lesser rune bear you can also find a wandering noble in the altus plateau and caled that turn into a lion guardian and troll respectively and another lesser rune bear can be found disguised as a pilgrim in the consecrated snow field you can find a few enemies disguised as silver tears in knockron and noxtella too all of these enemies drop larval tears and what a larval tears used for rebirth after defeating ranala she'll give you the option to change your appearance whenever you want and will also allow you to change your character's allocated stats if you give her a larval tier our rebirth always goes fine because we have ronald's great rune the great rune of the unborn because it perfects those who have been born anew so this means that the enemy's rebirths and box rest in peace book oh my god my loyal friend i'm so sorry i didn't know i i didn't mean for this to happen i'm so sorry you were always beautiful i should have told you my god my little man [Music] um maybe that's why these rebirths aren't so perfect because they didn't hold ronald's great rune when going through rebirth right another quote from the rune's description children born anew by ranala are all frail and short-lived imperfect beings each and all buck rest in peace my beloved frail and short-lived after his rebirth the enemies reborn as mostly frail beings and they all have short-lived disguises too imperfect beings each and all limb grave burning heads this is classified as cut content that you can access in the network test version of the game as lance mcdonald points out in his video eldon ring cut content lim graves boning stone heads varray's alternative dialogue you can find limb grave incorrectly generated in the distance outside of margaret's boss arena it's incorrect in the way that it doesn't match up with how limb grave is actually structured here's a comparison there's also something very peculiar in the distance here a very detailed burning stone head there's also one on the shore of a gill lake and looking at the oldest leaked footage of elden ring presents us with a shot of another burning head somewhere in limgrave what are these heads i have no idea but we can speculate we know that these heads were once in the game but aren't anymore they have a smouldering fire effect on them which can be seen on other assets in the game it's also good to note that there are enemies found in the game that are giant flaming heads the flame chariots large mobile weapons bearing the faces of giants they use their large flaming cannons to burn any who get in their way so maybe the burning stone heads also resemble the face of a giant or maybe a different type of giant considering that this doesn't really look like this could the acid have been removed as content for dlc maybe these heads have something to do with the outer gods or could they have been used similarly to the giant's corpses in caled you know a reminder that big humanoid creatures used to exist in the lands who knows all we know for now is that they used to be in the game i'll have a link to lance mcdonnell's video in the description if you want to check it out blight is guts it's no secret that miyazaki is a fan of berserk a dark fantasy style manga especially the character from it called guts he's even publicly acknowledged that he's taken inspiration from the manga and you can definitely see it in but even i knew this was a reference the closed left eyes the giant sword on their backs the armor and i've even heard that there are some similarities with the characters arcs and stories i don't know about you all but i really like these references they add so much fantasy and character into these games and there are many more references in these games that you can find if you have a keen eye how many of you found if you want to check out the no ll article i'll have it linked in the description loretta is an albanuric she was a carrion knight turned knight of the helic tree to understand this theory we're going to need to know two things who loretta is and who the albunurics are let's start the investigation we can fight loretta's spirit at carrier manor and fight her true self at the helic tree looking at her armor set we can see in each piece's description that loretta was once a royal carrier knight and her lapis lazuli blue cape is the emblem of the nightly pride that continues to guide her but wait what's this altering the armor changes the description to loretta once a royal carrier knight went on a journey in search of a haven for the albanurix and determined that the helic tree was their best chance for eventual salvation interesting her war sickle also states that the weapon's blue glindstone has been replaced with unalloyed gold unalloyed gold is synonymous with the halight tree mykola melania milicent etc now who are the albanuric they're artificial lifeforms categorized as either first or second generation first generation have human-like appearances and a flawed pair of legs which eventually give out causing them to die soon after we can find them in the albanuric village volcano manor and a few other areas screaming and going goblin mode we can also find passive albineurics like latino found at the slumbering wolf shack and elvis of the village of the albanurix latina just like all first generation albanurics lost movement in her legs relying on her wolf lobo to move from place to place lobo had passed away when we found her and she joins us as a spirit ash she also can't move from the spot she's summoned at unless a dire wolf is nearby she'll ride it and use freezing mist on it too which is similar to the albanuric wolfpack arches now bows are a staple weapon for generation 1 albanurix with it being stated in loretta's great bow sorcery that the bow is her favored weapon and it becoming more developed in loretta's mastery on her bloody journey to find a peaceful home for the albanurix albus and lieutenant's quest are tied to the secret halight tree medallions with lieutenant's quest ending at philia the albanurix location at the apostate derelict now now now who are the second generation albanurix they're these dumpy little dudes with the frogheads they can walk well and are quite acrobatic and are found all over lyonia and moguin's palace in the palace's case they seem to be infused with blood giving them new attacks possibly also because of their innate arcane abilities looking at the albunuric related items we can see that the albunuric pot description tells us that the knights of the kaku's viewed the albanurics as defiled blood and the albinuric blood clot tells us that many believe them to live impure lives untouched by the urge tree's grace now that we have our evidence we can build our case [Music] [Applause] now loretta was a carrion knight after seeing the unfair judgement and mistreatment of the albunuric by those who followed the golden order she made it her mission to give them a home away from it all to live in peace she found out about the halight tree and pledged allegiance to it separating herself from her carrion knighthood by altering her armor and weapons other albanurics also protect the halight tree protecting the entrance to it in the consecrated snowfield she also fits a description of a first gen pretty well she doesn't use her legs she's seen on a mount and she uses a bow as her favorite weapon however i've been saving a surprise piece of evidence for last that'll really give evidence to this theory the albinuric shield the ornamentation represents the primordial drop of dew from which they are said to have been created boasts exceptional magic damage negation the albanuric's most formidable foes were sorcerers after all exceptional magic damage negation their biggest foes were sorcerers the kaku knights and the carrion knights after the golden order was established in lionel it's all clicking together the silver mirror shield loretta's shield boasting amber and is said to imitate that of a sacred drop of dew which inspired the absurd rumor that loretta herself was an albanuric the amber a sign of rebirth like ranala's amber egg possibly reshaping the shield it also boasts high magical defense but would carrier have knighted an albanuric yes probably the troll knight sword states the trolls are treated as true graveyard and you can find a plaque that reads as follows here lies aurelia and aureliet who never saw the stars it seems pretty sad but maybe now that they're reunited they can this also implies that these two were once human and turned into spirit jellyfish after death humans get burials like this right and we do find a lot of jellyfish around graveyards so if they were once human were other jellyfish once human too do you need a reason to turn into a spirit jellyfish like for example wanting to see the stars with your sister the star presence we have creatures appearing from the stars wreaking havoc on the lands between being feared and worshiped but there's much more to the stars than meets the eye the amber starlight description states if the stars command our fates then amber huge stars must command the fates of the gods such is the belief that inspired the use of these shards to prepare a most special drought but hey it's just a belief right then what explains the telescope item's description during the age of the earth tree carrying astrology withered on the vine the fate once writ in the night skies had been fettered by the golden order the greater will must have had something done to the stars to remove their fate weaving abilities from everyone in the lands between but for what reason what i stated before and how well maybe through radon and it seems that the stars only affect the face of certain royalty and maybe the gods not everyone we learn this from selen who states the stars alter the fate of the karyan royal family and the fate of your mistress ronnie but long ago general radar challenged the swirling constellations and in a crushing victory arrested their cycles now here's the force that repulses the stars if general vadan were to die the stars would resume their movement and so too would rani's destiny very interesting especially with how everything is so intertwined with one another you know speaking of being intertwined with one another graven masses a collection of sorcerers shaped in a star the primeval current is a forbidden tradition of glindstone sorcery to those who cleave to its teachings the act of collecting sorcerers to fashion them into the seas of stars is but another path of scientific inquiry that looks fun the primeval current apparently the life-bearing energy that flows through the stars and the don't know what time travel has to do with these places maybe it's a way to describe the city's fates the cities may be eternal forever to sit underground awaiting the age of stars and entering the cities is like travelling to a different time before the time of the greater will it's a stretch but this brings into question what the knox did to invoke the ayah of the greater will and if estelle had anything to do with stealing the sky what is the one thing that displeases the greater will to no extent experimenting with artificial life which is seen as a mockery of life a crude imitation the silver tears able to turn into giant rolling spheres and humanoid beings the mimic tier mimics us when we fight it and the mimic tia ash's description states that mimic tears are the result of an attempt by the eternal city to forge a lord anything to bring about the age of stars and the lord of night but the greater will said no and now that the cities are underground and under a false sky the lost black moon that guided countless stars as described in the moon of noxella talisman description won't be guiding anyone probably speaking of moons there's a lot of references to moons in elden rings so i wonder how that all intertwines together maybe we'll get our answers one day now what about estelle the natural-born's remembrance does state that it destroyed an eternal city and took away their sky but which one considering that it was destroyed then it probably isn't knockron or noxtella right so could it be an eternal city that we never got to visit or maybe just maybe the nameless eternal city found in the deep root depths i don't see a sky there true abyss under snowfield the consecrated snowfield an area of the game that is the gateway to the halak tree a sanctuary for many like the albunuric and it's hypothesized that the abyss the true abyss is right under here the abyss is a word that is often accompanied by the primeval current it seems that they are tightly connected intertwined with each other and even referenced to be one in the same comet azur when azure glimpsed into the primeval current he saw darkness he was left both bewitched and fearful of the abyss we already know that the stars can command the face of certain living beings and possibly even the gods and we get to see a neutered down version of that power in the founding reign of star's prime evil sorcery thought to be the founding glintstone sorcery the glimpse of the primeval current that the astrologers saw became real and the star's amber rained down on this land is this dark cloud that summoned a glimpse of the primeval current or is it maybe some gateway to it finally the stars of ruins sorcery description when lucet glimpsed into the primeval current he beheld the final moments of a great star cluster and upon seeing it he too was broken after seeing what the primeval current and the abyss had done to azur and luca maybe it's best we don't gaze into the abyss whether it be underneath a snowfield or elsewhere because the abyss gazes also into you pharah missoula doesn't exist false reality now come on if we wanted to talk about time travel knock kron and noxtella aren't the places to look at the crumbling pharah missoula definitely is lying down here to enter dragonlord placidus's arena gives us some sort of time reversing cutscene or at least that's what it seems like mikko is needle remembrance of the dragonlord and placidus's ruin states that the dragonlord and its arena exists beyond time so does the rest of pharah missoula exist within time i would say so considering that it looks like a large sky temple limgrave is full of large sky temple ruins as stated by the ruined fragment item description so maybe there's a connection there that brings us onto the point of this entry the area being a false reality no it's an interesting thought don't get me wrong but there's nothing that points to this place being a false reality if anything it's a glimpse into how things were before the greater wills influence we have an ancient elden lord waiting for its god to return an ancient looking elden ring and ancient beings all throughout this area and with that we reach the final entry of the video but before we get there i have some honorable mentions i'd like to share with you all as i think they're very interesting first off let me solo her mention we have ronnie's rune she cast away her rune in her efforts to get away from the greater will and the golden order according to gideon but where is her haroon well if you take a look at the moon you can see a shape almost carved into it that looks an awful lot like a rune she could have placed her rune on the moon but if we're here around the cathedral of manicellus we see two moons could this be some sort of symbolism like ranala's full moon and rani's darkmoon if this were the case then why would rini's rune be on her mother's moon those were the honorable mentions so now we'll be moving on to the final entry of the iceberg the mother of all speculations yes do you feel that because i know i have my brothers and sisters let the madness consume you because i'm telling you right now this is insanity and this is the biggest talking point elden ring has to offer it even goes beyond melano and rani since i bring in my own multiple bodies theory on top of everything but let's start with them appearances melano and rani each have one eye closed melania's left eye and rani's right eye we can also see that rani has a spirit stemming off of her right eye could the spirit represent rani's discarded flesh it also looks an awful lot like melano looking at the flame of frenzy ending secret melon a cutscene she opens her eye and we can see that it's a purple or a blue very similar to ronnie's eye color and blides could ronnie's closed eye be a pale color just like melanie's always open eye and why did this eye open the way i see it becoming the lord of the frenzied flame is like melano's mk ultra switch but for destined death so we become that lord and she wants to hunt us down and give us our destin death as stated in the multiple endings entry destined death is another term for the rune of death but what is this marking found on melina's left eye a limb of some kind with three points coming out from it it looks an awful lot like a claw the four-toed foul-foot item description states that in the lands between having three digits is seen as a bad omen considering melano's secret cutscene this marking could represent the three fingers maybe the three fingers connected to an arm of some kind giving some more reason as to why she wanted to give us a destined death but then what is ronnie's mark it looks nothing like anything else in the game i wouldn't even know where to begin in making a speculation on it what would it take for her to open her eye attempting to bring her back to the side of the golden order obtaining her rune we don't get a choice to do either of those so either way it's good to note that they both have markings on their closed eyes but now let's talk about melano's body which could be ronnie's flesh she left behind when melana tells us about her purpose she says the earth tree is close only a little further till the foot of the earth tree and the accord is fulfilled it takes me back i was born at the foot of the urgery where mother gave me my purpose though now everything is lost to me i have to ascertain for myself the reason for which i live burned and bodiless there are two key words here burned and bodiless burned looking at melano's hands we can see that she has what looks to be burn marks her hands are the only areas that we see these marks so she could have more on other parts of her body that we don't see bodiless whenever we speak to melana she comes to us in what seems to be a corporeal form always just appearing to us rani does that too when she first introduces herself to us but she has a body stating that she's bodyless would suggest that she was born without one right so what if melano uses ronnie's discarded flesh borrowing it that would explain why she describes herself as burned and bodiless this is ronnie's discarded flesh found on top of the lyonia divine tower but how do we know it's ronnie's because it's accompanied by a curse mark of death it could be godwins i hear you saying but this corpse looks feminine it has red hair doesn't match his body that we see in the beginning cut scene and godwin's body has been warped probably due to his soul perishing during the night of the black knives looking at rani's flesh we see that it's singed burned we have a body for melano despite this body never moving while melaner is in control of it her using ronnie's flesh does seem like a bit of a stretch doesn't it well there are other characters in the game that do this and this is where the theory gets insane this is where it goes beyond melano and rani irina and hayeta they look the exact same but hayeta wears a dark yellow cloth over her dress and erina has to die for hayeta's questline to proceed however just like with rani irena's corpse never leaves her death location and hayeta is free to use her body as she pleases they share the same voice actresses too yura and shibriri when we first meet yura he comes off as a cool guy that wants to help rid the lands of the bloody finger invaders and will warn you of the dangers associated with dragon related powers at the final points of his questline we find him dying at the second church of america critically wounded by elianora violet bloody finger from here something happens again yura's body is overtaken by shibriri and we can find him next to the zamo ruins side of grace claiming that yura gave him his flesh finally we meet the tarnished who would be lord oh my why the long face i fear that you were previously acquainted with this vessel well that is most unfortunate for he is dead as for his flesh he gave it to me [Music] shabriri i hope you can make your peace with that and of course both characters share the same voice actors this piece of dialogue is huge it confirms that in death a body can be overtaken by another soul did yura really give shibri his flesh though i mean we've seen it before shiburi can be scarily good with the way he can twist his words so euro may have given him the body under an agreement or promise of some kind or he might have just forcefully taken the body what about vike we have his ever jailed round table night self and his festering fingerprint self he's noted to be the tarnish that was the closest to becoming eldon lord but went deep below the capital and was scorched by the flame of frenzy how can he be here maddened near the church of inhibition and not maddened here in the lord contenders ever jail you know it's kind of funny how the frenzied flame is so connected to all of this coincidence maybe but from what i can piece together intention might have something to do with these body takeovers iruna giving her body to hayeta they both wear wraps over their eyes we know that hayeta wanted to become a finger maiden could irina also have wanted to but didn't make it there's a reason to give your body to someone else to complete what you couldn't which brings me back to shibriri he could have twisted his words to euro to get his body after all when killed he does state that he's chaos incarnate so if a soul can enter another body giving it new life then perhaps we have a similar situation with ronnie and ronnie after all she moves her soul to another vessel discarding her flesh this vessel is artificial but still follows the same concept of having a soul enter a body of some kind if we want to go even further with this shared body idea what about gurang and malakath they're the same person but killing one doesn't kill the other we have a similar situation with moog killing moog lord of the blood doesn't kill moog the omen but killing morgot before killing margaret gets rid of margaret but what about godwin here's his body and here's his body here too this is him because we get the prince of death's pustule off of the corpse with the item description in playing it's godwin and fear confirms that this is godwin too one has no eyes and one looks like it's had unspeakable things happen to it what about the sights of grace you touch grace and then there are two grace things briefly what is going on with these bodies can two of the same person exist at once there are too many questions but not enough answers overall i think it's more possible that melaner is another part to rani rather than them being the same person because after all they do both co-exist but the multiple body theory is hard to piece it all together considering we're given some hints but not enough to get a proper answer maybe the outer gods have something to do with it all but i'm really hoping the answer to it isn't development inconsistencies oopsy poopsies but it's weird we see the symbolism of two all throughout elden ring two souls who have used a body two bodies existing at once medallions two major deaths during the night of the black knives the two curse marks of death the fel omen twins omen twins the deed twins the huslow brothers the two maiden husks and so so much more so what about rani and melaner it's clear that there's some sort of important connection between them and it seems that we have some of the picture but not the whole picture but even so picture this marika after knowing that rani discarded her flesh gives melano her bodyless daughter rani's discarded flesh giving her a newfound purpose to guide a tarnished into becoming the elden lord maybe even one that favors spirits for melanoma may be a spirit herself all while using rani's body possibly its appearance and even a role that would have been given to rani but there's definitely more to this theory and a lot
