The Top 10 Mods for Business and making money in The Sims 4 // Sims 4 mods

oh hi thanks for watching my video i've been playing the sims 4 with mods for quite a while now in fact i don't think i could play the sims 4 without mods sorry console players but i recently decided to start making lists lists of mods that really help for a certain type of gameplay not everyone looks for the same thing when it comes to mods some people like wholesome gameplay and their go-to are family themed mods some like to watch their sims burn and prefer mods that are a bit more on the extreme side so today i'm following on from my last video which was showing 10 mods that add chaos to the sims 4 and now counting 10 mods that improve the game when it comes to business and making money if you like the look of any of the mods i've mentioned in this video they'll all be linked in the video description so feel free to download them for yourselves this list is not in any particular order so let's get into it number one the celebration retail overhaul this mod is mainly focused on buying and selling making it much easier to run a retail business than it is in the game without mods the get to work expansion pack introduced the ability to purchase retail lots and sell applicable items for profit this retail system is similar but doesn't have as many limitations and does not require get to work to be used sims can set up a retail business on any lot so they can run a store from home or they could run a store on another lot type and turn it into a hybrid an option that isn't possible without mods they can also sell any item they like and have control over how much the items sell for all they need is the open and closed sign to turn any lot into a retail store this is a great mod to have if you want your sims to run a store from home or create hybrid lots and the fact that it only requires base game to work is just a bonus number 2. the sewing mod this mod is a nice addition for sims with a passion for fashion with it you get a new sewing machine that allows sims to acquire and build a sewing skill sims will need to make sure that they're fully stocked in fabric buttons zippers and anything else they might need to put together some happening threads before they start crafting their clothing they'll need to come up with designs for the clothing piece they intend to make the type of items your sims can sew will depend on how skilled they are for example sims who are brand new to sewing will unlikely be able to create a princess ball gown but they'll be able to use the sewing machine to build their skill so that they can make that dress one day the reason why the sewing mod has a spot on the list is because as you would imagine your sims can actually sell their crafted clothes and make a pretty penny next up basemental drugs this mod gets a spot on a lot of my lists for many different reasons i've spoken about it a lot so i'm not going to drone on about how much i love this mod but if you don't know it basically adds drugs and other things to the sims as well as a drug dealing skill so as you can probably work out your sims can make a lot of money with this mod installed if they invest their time in building their drug dealing skill why not give your sim an unconventional career in drug dealing if you'd like to see sims growing cannabis in action you can check out my playthrough of the weed scenario which i'll link in the white box at the top of the screen now moving on the live-in business mod this gem of a mod comes in very handy when it comes to running your own business in the sims as the mod's name suggests it allows sims to run a business from home with the addition of a simple lot rate you can open a range of business types in your sims home including a retail store cafe and bar and with it being at home you can control what jobs your sims do so finally you can have a family round business i personally have used this mod to run an at-home strip club and a cat-themed cafe once a day your sims can use their computer to collect their earnings just generally a handy mod to have and it opens a few extra doors when it comes to gameplay the daycare mod remember the daycare career from the sims 3 that was pretty sweet huh well did you know there is a mod that allows your sims to have an active daycare career in the sims 4 cause there is the job itself takes the form of an event and as you would expect there are goals that your sim has to complete to get paid once you start the event a load of local toddlers will turn up to your sims home ready to be looked after some of the tasks you'll be expected to complete are reading a story to the group feeding the little ones in a high chair and completing the register process using the computer the job itself is actually quite challenging so you better be good with the little ones if you want to get paid it's katato is the creator of this mod and i say that because when it comes to certain types of gameplay i tend to have my go-to modders for certain categories for example my video on mods for chaos features a lot from sacrificial and when it comes to mods for business it's katato is a go-to for me so you'll see a few of their mods on this list which takes me to our next mod cosmetology the cosmetology mod opens up career doors for sims who have a desire to give makeovers sims can do two things they can look for odd jobs in the sheer brilliance app and they can have an active career as a hair stylist the app shows up on your sims phone and will let you know of sims that require odd job makeovers you'll find a selection of crisis makeover situations like breakup glow catfish emergency and first date once you select the odd job you want to accept the applicable sim will turn up where your sim is and you can make them over using the all-in-one styling station then we have the active hair stylist career this one operates similarly to the other get to work careers you'll be asked if you want to join your sim when they go to work and if you do you'll follow them to the salon a lot type included with this mod you just need to make sure you place it down first otherwise your sim will have nowhere to go once there you'll have a list of objectives that you'll need to complete in order to have a successful day at work next up the sugar baby mod when it comes to making money the sugar baby mod is a great option sims with the sugar baby trait can convince other sims to become their sugar parent if their relationship is high enough once an agreement has been established your sim will be able to work on their sugar baby skill when your sim reaches skill level 2 you can ask your partner for a gold credit card this card is going to be your best friend you can withdraw money at any time although you might get a few warnings from the card holder to slow down if you go too mad but you can use the money to go on outings or go shopping get yourself a nice designer handbag or sprinkle yourself in perfume or you could just withdraw the money and have it in your sims account it's up to you as your sim builds their sugar baby skill they'll also be able to become a boss babe and run an online business with this mod installed there is a lot of money to be made next up the storytelling career mega pack this mod adds more options when it comes to career type it basically makes it so that you can assign specific single level careers to sims without the hassle of pop-ups or promotions this is a great aid to storytelling because it means that you have far more choice when it comes to selecting what the characters of your story do maybe your sims friend is a dentist their mum is a pilot their dad is an i.t manager and your sister is a psychiatrist give your sims single level jobs that reflect their personality additional odd jobs this is a small but handy mod that adds more odd job options to the game if you have a sim that doesn't like the commitment of having a full-time or part-time job with dedicated hours odd jobs might be the way to go if your sim depends on odd jobs to bring home the bacon they can get pretty repetitive though not anymore expand the amount of request types you get with this mod with additions such as dog walking and intimate massage you'll be raking it in in no time i believe you can actually choose which odd jobs you want you can install them individually so you can completely customize what types of odd jobs you get and finally we have the nursing career why not give your sims the honorable job of being a nurse this mod is simply a new career option for nurses the first three levels are pretty general but after the third promotion you'll be able to choose from seven branches your sim can work as a nurse in the icu the er the operating room labor and delivery or they could become a geriatric or pediatric or neonatal nurse they'll work 12 hour days for three days a week more options when it comes to careers in the sims is always a good thing and that's why it gets a spot on this list and there are 10 mods for the sims 4 that give you more options when it comes to business and generally making more money have you tried
