The Storm Won't Stop You, It Will Carry You {Part 1}

in mark chapter 4 and I'm going to read a lot of scripture so open your Bible in mark chapter 4 it says again Jesus begin to teach by the lake the crowd that gathered around him was so large he got into boat so he's in what a boat right and sat in it out on the lake while all the people are long the shore on the water's edge verse 2 he taught them many things by parables which means stories and in his teachings he said listen now this is important if I was running down a word write down listen because you're gonna see this is one of the primary things the word there listen means ikuo and it means a primary verb to hear it means to come to the ears that they shall hear and understand because there are many people that listen but they don't hear so I'm asking God to give you ears to hear by the Spirit of God listen or in other words hear a farmer went out to sow a seed now there's four types of things he's going to compare this to the kingdom of God this is vitally important because right after giving this master key a storm is going to come up it's going to be one of the greatest storms and I think it's important for you to hear this as he was scattering the seed some fell along the path and the birds came and ate it up that's the first thing that's number one number two some fell so this farmers out sowing seeds and he's using a parable to teach the kingdom of God some fell on rocky places where it did not have much soil it sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow but when the Sun came up that the plants are scorched and they withered because they had no root that's the second scenario the third one when the Sun came up the plants were scorched they had no root the other seed fell among thorns which grew up and choked the plant so that they did not bear grain that's the third scenario then the fourth one is still other seed fell on what good soil father make everyone sitting under the sound of my voice good soil in the name of Jesus because good soul has to do with their heart has to do with the way you see things perceive things receive things it came up it grew and produced a crop multiplying 30 60 or even a hundred times now let me show you right there the only way to produce a good crop spiritually speaking is to have good soil that means a heart of unforgiveness it means that that you're receptive that you have ability to hear and understand I could just sit right there and camp out there for a month but what happens when you do have the ability to produce a crop then God says I'm in the multiplying business I produce at thirty sixty and a hundredfold and then he goes on in verse nine then jesus said he who has ears now I like the message version it says are you listening to this really listening let him hear when he was alone the twelve and the others around him asked about the parables verse 11 he told them the secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you the message version says it like this you've been given insight into God's kingdom you know how it works that's important you have to know how God's kingdom works but to those on the outside everything is sent a parable so that they may be ever seen but never for seeing ever hearing but never understanding otherwise they might turn and be forgiven and the message version breaks it down says these are people whose eyes are open but don't see a thing whose ears are open but don't understand a word who avoid making an about-face and getting forgiven so they avoid repenting and acknowledging and therefore they avoid being forgiven of their sins so that's what he's saying here in verse 13 then jesus said to them don't you understand the story parable how them will use understand any so he's laying out the kingdom of God saying this is a master key if you don't get this master key you'll not be able to understand any of the others and Jesus only taught him parables he taught in understanding in other words so he says the the revealed things are for men but the secret things the mysteries the sacred things our God our our for God and they were revealed to us by the Holy Spirit through the teachings of God's Word very important all right you have you're going to have revelation some people are like seed along the path the farmer says seed so basically he's given a repeat here some people are seated along the path where the word sown as soon as they hear what happens Satan comes I'm in verse 15 guys sing comes so people are on the journey which means they're in the path they're saved right and as soon as the word is sown Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them others like seed sown on rocky places hear the word at once and it says receive it with joy but since they have no root they last only a short time when trouble persecution comes because the word they quickly fall away now what I'm going to teach you today is really an epidemic that's going on in the body of Christ this is what's happening in the body at large so I want you taking my time verse 17 the message says there's such shallow soil of character that when emotions wear off and some difficulties arise there is nothing to show for it so there's no root there and so when when the high when the honeymoon goes away there's no root verse 18 so others like seed sown among thorns hear the word but the worries of this life the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word the message version says they're overwhelmed with the worries about all the things they have to do and all the things they want to get that the stress strangles what they heard and nothing comes of it so this is applicable to all of us alright because I'm going to show you how this is how the enemy works so this is how he chokes because God is never going to mess up his word I'm gonna tell you God will never never not fulfill his covenant so the only way the enemy can do this the only way that the word will not work for you is there's got to be some kind of setup so that you forfeit the word so no matter what comes your way personally nationally internationally if you hold on to the word as a believer whether you feel it or don't feel it it's not about feelings is about understanding of God's Word and his kingdom God's Word will always work I don't care if you're on a mountaintop with a hundred million dollars or you're at the brook and the brook is dried up Ravens must come because God's Word will always work and if you work God's Word you will always see a crop and a harvest in your life in every area so let's keep going it says others like cedar sown on good soil and this is you I say in the name of Jesus all right I'm prophesying right now they it's on good soil they hear the word there are three thanks to good soul hear the word not just listen they accept the word and then out of accepting it they produce a crop thirty sixty and a hundred times of what was sown so the word multiplies in your life he said to them do you bring a lamp and put it under Bowl and what he's saying is listen I'm not gonna hide the kingdom of God it's not it's meant to be disclosed it's not meant to be concealed if anyone has ears to hear let him hear verse 24 consider carefully what you hear he continued with the measure you use it will be measured to you even more now I like the message listen to this he says listen carefully to what I'm saying and be wary of the shrewd advice that tells you how to get ahead in the world on your own giving not getting is the way generosity begets generosity stin genus impoverishes say says be wary of those even though you're in the church be wary of the advice coming from the world be wary of the blog's you read be wary of picking up a magazine be wary of the gossipers that there are christians they're going to heaven but be wary of the advice be wary who's speaking in your ear outside of the Word of God don't let anything be toxic or poison or be fatal to your faith because we live in a culture where there's a whole lot of advice but there is not necessary a whole lot of word you have to get back to what does God say about everything but just God because God Minister Greg his words not gonna fail Last Man Standing all right we're the I'm to say I'm gonna quit pew with the word then no matter what you make a decision with what you receive but determine if I'm the last man standing I'm going down banking on godness words because even if I go down I will come back up do not be deceived yet my enemies because God will never fail so let me let me keep you with you here he said this is what the kingdom gods like a man scatter seeds he keeps going right come over with me and he speaks all these parables and that's what he's going to then in verse 35 after he teaches all this he says that day watched that very day when evening was come he said to his disciples watch the points number 1 let us go to the other side so when already says the end from the beginning you can bank on it when God says are going to get to the other side then you're going to get to the other side so you say pastor Paulo how do I know what he's saying to me you get in this word and you hear when God says you're the head you're going to be the head when God says he's going to supply all your need according to his riches when God says that he will give generational blessings to the 10th generation then you're going to have generational blessings to your 10th generation when God tells you how to work the words you've got to get in you've got to reframe your life around the Word of God you've got to renew your mind right you have to do the work but God's Word will stand in your life when God says that you can be healed you can be healed when God says that that all power in both heaven and earth has been given to you all authority it's been given to you so he says let us go to the other side leaving the crowd behind there's some people you need to leave behind they're just some people that you've got to see man this is not serving my life this is not serving this season and there are people you can love them from a distance you can minister to everyone but you're not to be in fellowship and covenant with all people you're to minister to all people but that doesn't mean that you're it's like you eat everybody you date you're not to marry amen all right so that's what he's saying there he's saying leave the crowd they took him along just as he was in the boat and there were also other boats with them now it's interesting because we never know what happens to those other boats I think they get demolished and I'll tell you why when you see a furious squall came up and the waves broke over the boat so that it was nearly swamped and Jesus was in the stern sleeping on a cushion the disciples woke him up said teacher don't you carefully drown and many people feel like that and they think it's the watch it's easy to blame God don't you care we're going through this as if Jesus did not know what storm was going to rise but he had already said let us go to the other side so there are times when you're in the middle of a personal crisis or national crisis that you're like hey God I mean your head gets kind of crazy anybody know what I'm talking about don't you care if I drown you're not going to drown he's already told you you're gonna go the other side which I have to do is hold on and I came to work with your faith this morning all right I came to help you and show you what God's doing so he says teacher don't you care if we drown he got up and he rebuked the wind and said to the waves quiet me still now I'm glad he dealt with the situation rebuked the winds is very important so then before he rebuked the disciples he rebuked the situation but still he's going to rebuke the disciples then the wind died down so after everything was calm and was completely calm he said to his disciples why are you so afraid do you still have no faith now let me tell you right now there because I would underline every word when you study they were terrified and asked each other who's the even the winds and the waves obey Him why are you so afraid fear always comes to cancel your faith always so the enemy always has to bring something that emotionally triggers you that they cause us some kind of open door for that faith to be to fail or to falter in your life so Jesus here is teaching on the kingdom and he gives a master key in verse 13 he says if you understand this parable you understand all parables as soon as he gives it the word says in verse 35 the same day when the evening had come I'd write this down revelation and master keys often a come accompanied with storms I'm going to talk prophetically and I'm going to talk practically so I want you to have an ear to hear both when revelation starts coming all right and when master keys are given they often are accompanied by storms you see it all throughout as a pattern in the word or something will what they call arise and I'm going to teach you on that word jesus said let us pass to the other side verse 37 and there arose a great storm now the greek word arose means to cause to be to come into being so there was something that caused it to come into being when a master key in Revelation starts coming forth now the Greek the Greek word storm here is lye elapsed and it literally means a whirlwind which means a hurricane so what happened there was a hurricane so is this applicable does guys come on the word is the word the disciples are facing a hurricane I like when the Bible teaches on a hurricane because I can take these steps and apply them practically to my life now whirlwind this is interesting prophetically I looked up in the prophets dictionary because I want to see what does it mean it means divine power and initiatives in it refers to the turning of the wheels of God it is an implement of divine judgment especially a clearing instrument
