give you pastors according to my heart which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding i have read to you jeremiah the third chapter verse 15 may god bless the hearers the doers of his holy word thank you good evening everyone uh new testament reading will be coming from the uh first peter fifth chapter two through the third verse again first peter fifth chapter second through the third verse and it reads as follows be shepherds of god's flop that under your care watching over them not because you must but because you are willing as god wants you to be not pursuing dishonest gang nor eager to serve nor lording over those entrusted to you but being examples of the flaw i have read from you first peter five second through the third verse may god bless the hearers readers as well as the amen amen we come to this glad and solemn day in which this congregation recognizes god call and gift of minister leadership of minister trey stewart to serve the church in christ ministry ministry is a gift from god through jesus christ the chief of cornerstone of the church the whole people of god through the action of the holy spirit christ's ministry of reconciling healing teaching and serving is the basic for each of our own ministries while the whole people of god through baptism is commissioned to share in this servant's ministry the church from the earliest time has set some people apart with prayer to serve as ministers through the whole of prophet priest and pastors this ministry is a blessing and a serious responsibility it recognizes your special gift and calls you to work among and with us in love we thank you minister trey for accepting your obligation and we encourage you to offer your best unto the lord to his people and to our ministry in the word live a life in christ and make him known in your witness as well as for your hard work amen amen we will now we will now have our greetings by pastor robert a wagstaff moderator for montgomery antioch district churches and pastors we bring you greetings from the montgomery antioch district baptist association trey minister trey stewart soon be pastors trey stewart we want you to know we are here to provide you with those resources that you need everybody need to know there's someone in their corner and we are here to support you and the good times the bad times in between we are here never fail to call on us when you need us we're just a phone call away amen these things i'd like to give in are going to my seat there are two distinct things there's a herdsman who deal with callum there's a shepherd who deal with sheep remember this a herdsman drive cattle a shepherd lead sheets minister steward at this particular time many look at it as just a new beginning for you truly it is a new beginning but it is a new beginning for two parts one is for you and one is for the congregation that god has called for you to lead and notice i said that god has called you for to lead this congregation therefore there is vitally two things you must understand if it's two parts you and the congregation and god call you there are two wheels one is god's will and the other one is self-will not just yourself will but someone within the congregation who may feel as if though you need to do something opposite of god how do you know it's god's will god's will is determined by the actions you take and the words you speak based on his love which is in jesus christ and just if you wish to know what self-will is the actions you take are the words you will speak or spoken based on your ego to have your own way my advice to you make sure you follow god's will amen amen indeed i thank you all for allowing me to serve as your conductor up to this point amen amen and at this time i now turn it over in the city and uh what 50 53 years and then 53 he is pastor of lily baptist i told him he baptized me when i was a little boy well i was young anyway amen pastor would you want to come down and you came back down i can show you i can still walk down y'all give it up for my pastor man that's the thomas earl jordan let the saints of god say amen again seven to six years old tomorrow if god says so path bishop god is good we are just delighted to be here this afternoon to share with bishop clarency stewart and minister trey stewart my son and grandson in the ministry and to be able to just to be here in body and spirit to encourage both of them in their ministry and to share with the restoration church we have had the opportunity to watch bishops do it through the years and then when minister trey stewart came on the scene as a child we've watched him grow and develop into the young man that he is now and god has blessed bishop steward god is blessed lady angela and this family and restoration and every time you come through these doors you ought to give god praise for this great ministry thank you so much thank you pastor god listen all right thank you so much can we say praise your word lord we thank you for your word god we thank you [Music] for your word let your word have free course in this place let your word find good ground in us in jesus name amen from the book of first corinthians chapter number four before you sit first corinthians chapter number four i just want to focus on verse number 15 there you will find these words recorded for though you have 10 000 instructors in christ you have yet have ye not many fathers for in christ jesus i have begotten you through the gospel you may be seated i just want to just want to talk about where are the fathers where are the fathers amen rarely has a church received more from god than the people of the early corinthian church it was first planted in foundational truth by the apostle paul the corinthians were then watered by the eloquent flow of scriptural insight from apollos later they would be enriched by the testimony of the greatest living eyewitness to the ministry of jesus in that day the apostle peter corinth was certainly favored by the lord that corinthian church was full of the word it had an abundance of spiritual giftings at that time in current that was unparalleled even by new testament standards considering the great wealth of revelation that flowed there the great wealth of insight and charac charismatic expression that was deposited in this early christian community it would seem right to consider this setting as a model that every church should become however even a casual reason reading in our bibles of the corinthian correspondence revealed not a model but it reveals a mess according to paul's writings y'all could say amen according to paul's writings the corinthians were a fellowship that was in fractions of factions and fornicators it was a congregation of carnal charismatics their gatherings were egotistical exhibitions of their spiritual gifts a diagnosis of the body of christ at corinth would use such terms as disunity dysfunction and disorder their ignorant use of their giftings was a symptom of a confusion concerning their own real identity the corinthians did not base their identity on who they were in christ but they based their identity a man or to establish their identity by gathering themselves under the name of a famous preacher can i get a witness here i just want y'all to know i got my lesson today amen they were they were they were going around saying i am of apollos i am a paul i am a cephas i am of [Music] christ by joining themselves together to a well-known name they gained a mark of identity and an elevated sense of importance that was not of god these corinthian people also sought their identity through whatever gift of the spirit that was demonstrated in their own lives just as they elevated their favorite preacher above any other preacher so the many members of the corinthian church elevated their personal giftings as a source of thy their identity evidently many of the corinthian christians prophesied or they spoke in tongues and they felt amen not only that their gift was greater than others but they themselves but much greater than anybody else kind of gives you a scene of where we are in this hour can i get a witness here man the bible here says their use of charismatic gifts as a mark of identity in man instead of ministry to the body of christ caused the confusion that was being manifested the indecency that was present within their congregational gatherings and it was into this setting that the apostle paul wrote the following words to the corinthian church he said unto them and i say this unto you today i write not and i say i speak not these things to shame you can i get a witness here i've never seen so many folk get so offended man when they are walking out of order and god's authoritarian speaks truth to their situation they man they get angry they get mad they can hook up with their buddies and then run down the man of god can i get a witness here but paul said i don't write a man to speak to your shame i'm not trying to shame you i'm not trying to make you look bad but i'm writing to you as my beloved sons i warn you for though you have 10 000 instructors in christ you have not many fathers for in christ jesus i have forgotten you through the gospel wherefore i beseech ye be followers of me you hear people now saying i ain't following no man but paul was a man peter was a man bless my bones jesus was a man so if you ain't gonna follow no man you're telling me you ain't gonna follow jesus and if you ain't gonna follow jesus you sure ain't gonna listen to me can i get a witness here hey man this is not about trying to put down or to dump on but it's about time for us to open up and hear the voice of god god is trying to tell us something y'all ain't got to help me that's all right amen and we're ignoring the voice of god by following our own identity have i got a witness here then the apostle paul says with this call i left timothy i i sent timothy i i i sent timothy who is my beloved son and faithful in the lord who shall bring you can i get a witness here into remembrance of my ways which be in christ as i teach everywhere and in every church can i get a witness here it is in these few little passages of scripture that paul shows the corinthian church the simple way to get out of their mess can i get a written dessert amen we think it's going to take a a god knocking everybody down can i get somebody here we think it's going to take god killing all the preachers and the pastors and wiping out for god ain't got to do that he said i came to give you life and life more abundantly i'm trying to figure out how come folk don't want the abundant life y'all ain't saying nothing man why is it such a struggle in church it ain't no problem when we go out and spend money on junk when we go and spend money on something to drink and i ain't talking about a soda pop either can i get a witness here don't make me come down your road daughter are y'all praying with me today hey man why is it so hard for believers to support the kingdom work y'all ain't talking that's all right the bible says as long as the earth remains it will be seed time and harvest then we get out of order thinking that is something wrong when the preacher by the authority of god says here's what you need to give can i get a witness here man they man see we got it twisted and i'm gonna be through here in a minute i feel something up on me amen amen we got it twisted when it come down to giving first of all the tithe belongs to god get no amen it's here amen amen no no the tide ain't for the church it blesses the church but the tithe is for you y'all ain't saying that he didn't say i'm gonna open the windows of the church he said i will open unto you no one is in heaven and poor you y'all what's the matter for you out of blessing that you won't have a room enough to receive can i get a witness here amen so the first thing we got to do and the reason why we can't get up out of our mess is because we've taken god's money and we going to tomorrow with it i ain't scared somebody got to tell the truth and stand on the principles of god's word he's quiet up in this presentation have i got a witness here man let's get the tithe right first y'all ain't talking about you love jesus but you starved okay okay let me just bible says amen will a man rob how much time do i have will a man rob god god don't need no money but we do y'all ain't gonna worry me sitting up in here looking divine and holy every one of y'all up in here needs some ksh cash okay i'm sorry see cash cash money if you say man and get right y'all help me up in here and when we ride through our communities and when we look in our neighborhood we see the curse we act like we don't see it when we look at our children but we don't have any control over them help me up in here when we look at the things that are manifested from our little girls and our little boys right now hey man don't you see the handwriting on the wall so god said in my people my people who are called by my name humble themselves and god ain't calling you to listen he's waiting on us we're standing around somewhere where god is at the glory honey the glory already in you no the glory of god is in me you got the glory locked up ain't nobody saying that come to come to worship and lock the glory up we want to be entertained y'all help me up in here i'm just talking to the real focus the praise team got to beg you to lift your hand honey when you get up in the morning the old saints used to say i walk god help me here i woke up then good has god been to us and if you can't see the goodness of god those of you that are alive right now through the last year and a half you ought to be able to look around and tell god thank you sir too many folk playing y'all sit down before i mess up there's too many people playing with god and then they want preachers to be perfect so y'all ain't gonna help me that's all right y'all don't don't see y'all get to making me preach you long man they want the men and women of god to be perfect while they living like hell everybody up in here no we didn't be at some point you might not have got caught and you nobody never saw it but the bible says the eyes of the lord are in every place just because you saw madness don't mean god don't want to recognize the real authority of god's man a woman in the earth when i talk about spiritual sons i'm not just talking about your gender i get so sick and tired of this argument about who can and who can't amen you ain't god see y'all ain't gonna help me that's all right man we wanna we wanna choose the person the same why is it that it's all right for a woman to go out and get a learn how to drive a transport truck or to learn how to drive a bus a woman can fly an airplane and the same qualification for a male pilot is taken for a female pilot what's the matter y'all ain't saying nothing why is it that a woman can command troops in the army the same qualification that it takes for a male general to take for a female general but when we come down to the church now we want to become chauvinistic look at somebody tell them the devil is alive man maybe we haven't read the bible because most people how much time do i have most people want to just take the old testament out honey you can't have the new without the oh the bible says the old law is our school master that brings us to christ so if you want to know how god did it just go back and check out the old school master can i get a witness here man the bible said that if a man didn't have no son the daughter became the heir see y'all ain't gonna help me that's all right can i get a witness and the scripture says there is neither male or boy y'all ain't going to heaven this ain't about your gender that's why we don't need your display on sunday mornings priests pastors should we need to get fresh out of the way somebody hang on that's all right hey man there's too much flesh going on in our worst of experience from the pool pig to the back door [Music] we need a word from the lord people ask me all the time pastor amen what what what did it take to be successful in ministry and my answer most of the time turn them off hey man they don't want to hear what i got to say because the real daddy will tell you how to make it ain't nobody saying nothing you want to be successful honey it ain't about no degrees ain't about that cold parchment that you put on the wall hey man if you really want to be a good leader for god you got to know how to get on your face y'all ain't gonna help me that's all right i know one thing i do know i know how to pray [Music] you okay [Music] that's how i made it that's that's why i'm still here that's why i still look this good at 66 years old [Applause] and about all the other foolishness it's about whenever trouble come pray when men lie on you god help me here there have been times i almost went to prison because i knew who it was that said what they said and i loaded my pistol and put it in my car and i was going to the house and on my way god said stop i ain't the only one some of y'all know what i'm talking about y'all ain't gonna worry me sitting up in here looking all divine and holy [Music] people act like when you get saved you forget everything no no we ain't forgotten nothing honey we forgot how to lie i'm time i preacher we forgot how to drink we can cuss too i'm in the wrong i'm in the right church today oh he was looking at a doing that amen holiness by the fact that god has set you apart with all of your imperfections and with all of your problems you can still go to god and repent y'all ain't saying nothing and that's god lord yeah i messed up yesterday but since your mercies are brand new and since yesterday is gone i need a new mercy for this amount [Applause] i can't finish my message i'm done i got to have a witness here it's time for the saints to get real with god do i have a witness here the lord says if my people who called by my name shall humble themselves and seek my face and turn from that wicked ways do i have a witness him god wants us to turn [Music] from our ways the bible says that god does not change so is there anybody got to change it's got to be me and you have i gotta win now oh the people of god make up in our mind that we're going to grow up out of all of this foolishness to the real body of christ the bible says that the whole world is for a manifestation of the sons of god can i get a witness that's why we see all of these storms coming from the gulf that's why we see all of that fire out on the west coast can i get a win that's why we see all of this uh stormy weather right here in alabama can the world is groaning for the true sons of god to be manifested have i got a witness and the bible said to the sun and the hearts of the sun until their own father cannot get a witness oh yeah god is there waiting on us to get right with him is that right jesus knew who he was and what his assignment was when he was 12 years of age can i get a witness that i almost said that at 12 years of age he went into the temple with all of those lawyers and with all of those scholars the bible said that he amazed every one of them mary and joseph i must be about my father's business can i get a witness the scripture says but nevertheless he went back with them and he stayed there until he was 30 years old 18 years later here come jesus while john was down in the water baptizing out in the wilderness and here comes jesus have i got to win the bible said god this is [Music] this is my beloved son and whom i am well pleased can i get a witness here well i just need to let you know today uh lift up your hands traitor that's a i'm 911 pleased can i get a witness here the mantle of god is on your life all you gotta do stay with jesus when it gets hard say hey can i get a witness here i don't to my own understanding and in all of my ways i'll acknowledge him i need about three people that know god we [Music] somebody said god will god will wanna make a way i god can do i know he will got one verse and this is the truth about me just this year i have a doctor come in a sick room and uh ease anybody can be a witness to that if you ever been sick yeah with the doctors come in your room and they had the audacity to shake their head anybody can read their hand and tell you he's a god you don't have to worry yes i know the law [Applause] let's go [Music] anybody ever had a little talk with jesus and whenever [Music] i get burned he knows what to do [Music] [Music] i know the lord open your mouth the doors of the church are open yes come on y'all sing to me if you know he will you want to jump up on your feet and say absolutely if you believe and wave your hand come on make one big crosshair i know lord he will make way yes he will if it brought you yes i know the lord i know the lord will if you know he will come and put those hands together i said put those hands together if you know he made a way out of no way if you know he brought you out all through coronavirus season you on the way hallelujah [Music] so on this day bishop asked me to give my brother a charge i want to share seven things with you the first thing i want to tell you trey is that god has called you to do more than just be in the pulpit it's called you to live the life outside of the pulpit so the first thing i want to tell you according to first peter chapter five verse number two through four you've got to be an example to the people you've got to live what you preach you've got to walk what you teach second thing i want to tell you is your responsibility according to the word of god is you've got to feed the flock i was a young boy and they taught me second timothy ii chapter 15 verse study to show thyself approved unto god it's god's desire for you to study so that you can rightly divide the words of truth now not only must you be an example not only must you feed the flock but you got to learn to be an overseer me and you talk about this all the time it's one of the things that i believe because god's gifted both of us in multiple spaces it can sometimes be hard for us to do we have to strengthen others to do things so that we don't have to do them oversight doesn't mean your hand has to be on it all the time but it does mean you have to look over and see into what is being done i want to also tell you this this is the last thing from first peter five two through four it says love the flock bishop used to say something while i was growing up over there on woodland road at st james missionary baptist church number two bishop always said he said i love you and ain't nothing you can do about it and i believe with that same token of what he's already put in place into your life you've got to make sure that you love the people beyond the people because the people will act the fool y'all cry in this presbyterian church the people will turn their backs on you and the people that do it won't only be the folk you don't know and the folk that's in the congregation but sometimes trey it'll even be your family and you gotta make up your mind i'ma do what god told me to do i don't care what your last name is i don't care who you are to me i still love you but i gotta do what god told me to do now these the last three things i got for you god has blessed me in these last two years to be in a great place to serve in the capacity of ministry i want to tell you three things that i've been learning number one your father already stole my thunder you've got to have a committed prayer life if you're going to hear from god you got to talk to god i'll say it again for the folk in the back i want them to start praying too if you're going to hear from god you gotta talk to god it's it's necessary for you to know that what god is about to take you trey he needs to talk to you for you to know how to get there this this ain't no wizard of oz you can't follow no yellow brick road this ain't no michael jackson none of them other folk you've got to listen to the directions of god's voice and you have to be keen enough to hear when he's talking while other folk running their mouths because i'ma tell you now everybody gonna tell you what you need to do and they don't know what you need to do because they don't have what god's given you so make sure that you pray and you pray right now this is this is a big one all the preachers in the house ought to shout amen on this one you've got to learn to avoid comparison all right they quiet in here your your your pastor your bishop he said about apollos he talked about paul and and the issue of the church is we're always competing against one another and i've come to tell you brother you don't have to compete with nobody what my mama would tell you if she was here what god has for you it is for you you ain't got to worry about how much they do over there across the road you stay right here and you do what god has called you to do don't worry about who don't like your post don't worry about who don't share your flyer keep doing what god has called you to do so they say those that compare themselves amongst themselves are not wise so you don't look to the left or to the right you make sure you keep staying what god wants you to be so last thing i'm done y'all don't have to hear me no more i want you to look at second corinthians chapter 10 verse number 14. you can do it in your leisure as you watch this broadcast again read it he talks to us about understanding our spiritual jurisdiction i'ma tell you something that's blessed my whole entire life this last week is that he tells us you gotta stay in your land uh trey where god's about to take you how god's about to blow restoration up you can't pass that folk that already got a pastor and every now and then you gotta tell folk you out of my jurisdiction i i gotta stay right where god wants me to be i've gotta preach to those who god wants me to preach to and i gotta counsel those gods sent my way you got to make sure you stay in your lane can y'all help me shall stay in your lane trey because there's going to be plenty of folk who wants you to speak a word over them but if god ain't told you to keep your mouth closed stay in your lane now i'm done but no matter what it may seem like i just want to tell you i love you brother and there's plenty of people who are in competition with young preachers there's plenty of preachers who we can't trust who we can't be around because they don't have our best interests at heart but trey if you could just find you a few that god is positioning your life to be around you some folk that can be some rider dies lean not to folk that come when everything gets great but hold to those who've been there through it all and all i'm saying to you is you got a brother in me i love you brother and this is your charge can y'all give god praise for this man of god [Applause] [Music] yes [Music] and now the god's children said amen what a grand and historic day in the life of restoration baptist church we celebrate this installation of reverend trey stewart as pastor of restoration baptist church i was deeply honored when bishop and trey me on a three-way call and ask me to do this assignment it is so good to be in the miss and after pastoring almost 44 years this is the first time that i've seen the memo pass from the father to the son it is a great privilege for me to stand here today with you as we enter into a next exciting chapter as people on a journey of faith in a few moments trey will make promises to and this church will make promise to one another you will enter into a covenant about your sharing life together you and this church will be just like a marriage but before that i want to charge you this church the members of restoration baptist church with some practical ways in which you can support trey and this ministry first of all i charge you to grant trade the freedom to dream and a permission to lead we have a this church and i've been knowing the bishop for a long time and discharged has a rich history of dreaming so remember that dreams are precious and dreams are fragile work together to keep trade dreams and your dreams alive be open to trade new ideas and focus on what you have in common not on your difference allow trey and expect him to lead and to speak honestly and openly against injustice and oppression give space for the holy spirit to do her work i'm i'm charging you to let trey dream the church will not move in a positive direction without a pastor having dreams secondly i i want to just mention to this fine congregation create an atmosphere that minimize stress and unrealistic expectation be sure that your expectation of trey are realistic realizing that he can't please all peoples all the time as a young pastor of almost 44 years and i first took over the ministry i tried to please everybody but you will discover you just can't please everybody choose to encourage him rather than criticize avoid a negative spirit and grumbling among yourselves don't expect trey to be like his daddy i wish i had somebody in here to give that god gave to bishop he didn't give trade the same gifts now realizing that all of us can have some of the same gift but the way bishop preached don't expect trey to preach like the bishop i wish i had somebody and at all calls refuse to listen to gossip let me just get down real with you if you disagree with something he say or does speak directly to him about it and when you do listen carefully i'm about through and when you do lead with grace and speak your mind with love i also encourage you to help train set and maintain a healthy boundary and priority next i i i discovered this allow time all for relaxation and restoration well you're there you've got to have some time on everybody need some time off all ministers need time away with their families as well as a long time with god respect his days off and make sure the congregation honor his time away i think all the ministers that's present here today would agree that one of the worst phone calls in the world begin with i'm sorry to call you on your day off i urge you restoration i urge you i'm just being simple and to the point i urge you to be respectful of trey personal time out of the office he need that space then finally another thing i'm going to share with you i charge you to care for his family i told you that don't expect his family to be any more perfect than yours and recognize that every family is unique encourage him to make his family a priority and to devote the time energy efforts required to keep them healthy i uh just a few miles from here across the river um and i get calls practically every day from one of my church members and i usually have money off of my rest day but look like i work more harder on monday than i do on friday so additionally support trade with regular prayer love patience understanding and kindness family it is important that you don't expect everything to stay the same i'm gonna say it one more time it is important that you don't expect everything to stay the same we are peoples on a journey of faith and as such we need to continue to discover who god is calling us to be and what god is calling us to do there i i want you to understand there's a phrase that says embrace the possibilities and the opportunity of innovating and change i charge every member of this congregation to live into the statement while supporting the church with your time your money and your giftiness and so it is this day i charge you the members of the restoration baptist church to promise and coven with god and with tree to journey together lovely and faithfully into the future which is full of hope train just be faithful church be obedient to your pastor [Applause] [Music] [Applause] let the church say man come on let's say a man one more time amen at this time i'm going to ask if pastor trey will come [Applause] amen we're going to have prayer a prayer of installation just as pastor grace spoke today we're going to pray the installation prayer now but it's very very important that the church continues to pray even when the music stops today amen um pastor trey we love you we come all the way from los angeles to tell you that we love you amen [Applause] we're going to pray [Music] again we had um make mention that the gifts of god are already in this young man we pray that the lord will touch him and he will stir up the gifts that is in him which was given to him by god but watch it now by the laying of hands of the presbytery i wish i had some help here amen by the laying of hands and so as our preachers our pastors come we come in unity today our presiding privilege bishop clarence e stewart laying hands on his son not only his son in the ministry but his biological son what an awesome day of history as we pray today um i thank god for what is happening i'm gonna go ahead and say a prayer but i thank god for what's happening is because god has given bishop steward the wisdom to do what he's doing i don't know about out here but out there where i live so many pastors let the church die in their lap amen because they have not the wisdom to do like moses done i wish i had some help here to do like moses done for joshua to do like paul done for timothy and so today trey we pray for you all of our ministers are laying hands on you in agreement father god we come today at this portion of this awesome service this time lord we want to say thank you first of all for all that you have already done in the life of this young giant we thank you today not only for what you've already done but we thank you for what you are about to do now lord we are here on earth doing what you said lord jesus you said where there's two or three gathered together in your name touching and agreeing here on earth we shall ask anything and it shall be done so now lord we are touching and agreeing that the glory of god will be manifested in pasture tree a spiritual metamorphosis will take place things are about to change and i pray god that you will give him the strength that he needs in the name of jesus [Music] and then god i pray that all of us that are present here will always remember this day and be the ones if it's so be that he can call upon even after today and receive words of encouragement hey god hey god i act so god that you will strengthen him for the journey when he gets weak when he gets tired along the journey lord i pray that you will provide him an angel food cake get him some spiritual water let him regain his strength hey god in the name of jesus i pray a fresh anointing on this young man today god because people got to understand amen something has taken place and when people even try to belittle what's taking place lord he will have the courage and the conviction to stand on your word so i'm gonna come at him i used to change your diapers i used to pack you i used to i used to take care of you yes but now the holy ghost has made me overseer i just pray that you will bless him today hey eagle sunday hey god touch him right now god in the name of jesus and i pray god that you will continue even to bless his father his father uh not just his biological father below i want to say his spiritual father in the name of jesus i pray for the restoration church i pray god that we will be in line with what you are doing so now lord when it's all said and done i pray that you would bless pastor trey to run this race [Music] run with the conviction if the truth be told that he's already won [Music] help him to stay with the race god in the name of jesus and when it's all over you said that you would give him a crown of life that fate is not a way we thank you for what you've done right now we thank you for what you're doing we thank you for what you're about to do i need about 10 praises out there that would just agree with me in prayer thank you lord for what you've done on today and for this oh god we give you glory for this oh god we give you praise it's in the matchless name of jesus you crown this young man with wisdom with understanding and we'll praise you for it in the name of jesus let the church say amen come on let the church say amen come on let the church say amen hallelujah in the church the pastor's robe is warned to primarily show and to emphasize the official holding of the pastor [Music] [Music] and to cover the personality of the person who stands in the pulpit the robe is also meant to convey authority and the solemn duty of the pastor when a pastor pushed on that robe it symbolizes that this particular person is called by god to proclaim the gospel of jesus christ moreover to preach and to teach the biblical word of god to the church body as a learned instructed taught minister of the word of god i want everybody to just reach this way take them a call with you robe pass the tree [Music] [Music] wow [Music] uh [Music] uh [Music] can we say amen we want to thank nico mccall and to all of these men and women who have been here today god bless you you may be seated we're just about finished um this has been one of those times one of those weeks this week the enemy fought every step of the way but god has the victory somebody say amen you know i thank god for this young man who has served me i mean like a real um thank you paulo you're good for something man i said i wasn't gonna do this [Music] that's my baby y'all come on as you talk well they told me not to do it so i'm gonna try not to cry trade because you told me not to but i thank god for this day and i just want to go back down memory lane when trey was a toddler could have been not more than three years old three or four at st james number two on south court street on sunday mornings trey he will be in my lap or he'll be standing in on the pews clapping his hands with the choir and then he'll come back and he'll get in my lap and he'll go to sleep but as soon as a bishop start preaching trey would wake up he would climb out of my lap go up to the pulpit and he would sit on the second step and he would sit and just watch the bishop preach and i was like what is this boy doing but all along it was in the process and he would sit there and just watch his daddy preach and then as soon you know as he got what he needed he climbed down he come back to the pew he climbed in my lap and he went to sleep and he did it every sunday and god took me back down memory lane this whole week trey has been preaching ever since trey was three years old his granddaddy mark bought him a microphone trey would get that microphone and he would preach to shea and jennifer and i and he would preach in his diaper and he would get mad because nobody would say anything i say well y'all please say amen please say hallelujah say something to my baby and we all we got in line he get to preaching he'll open up his book the bible he would be looking and pointing his finger like he really know what he read it and he would be hooping and ran back and his pamphlet and this mike and shea and jennifer and myself we've been hollering amen thank you jesus and as soon as he finished he would put the mic down and he'll look at us and smile i said y'all he got it but that just goes to show you how god worked how he worked bishop spoke about trey he claimed him he said that i'm having a son mother robinson came to me she said it's a boy i didn't even know what i was having we didn't even know what he was having but bishop had already claimed him so i went to the doctor the following week and the doctor said you're having a boy and on october the 8th 1993 almost 10 pounds this baby boy was born and i thank god for him every every day and trey i just want you i'm just gonna leave pastor nelson all of them have said the exact same thing be you be who god called you to be don't try to be like your daddy don't try to be like any other minister but be who god has called you to be and the best is yet to come rbc i need for y'all to get behind trey and let's support him trey we got you back and mama love you i love you and there is nothing you can do about it so don't even try i thank god for all of y'all for my family for the friends for the support that you all has shown trey and i ask you to continue to support him continue to pray for him people is going to be people know if ants about it you love them unconditionally and god he will take care of the rest i remember what mama andrew was saying about you preaching when you was little that's so crazy this is so crazy to be here because time goes like this i'm just so proud of you i i can't say it i'm shocked i'm not shocked i know you got it what if god has given you gifts and you know it we all know it we see it you work hard you dedicate it and we're just so proud of you and i just i just want to let you know i love you and like everybody else said you do what god tell you to do i can say i used to change your diapers like you said i used to change your diapers but you do what god calling you to do and i'm very proud of you and i love you god bless you i think that's about it uh would you all stand to you see let's receive pastor clarence e stewart the third i am [Music] i uh i think i got an eyelash stuck in my eye uh no but um i'm just thankful to god for the the opportunity to just serve in a greater capacity um [Music] [Applause] [Music] i don't know why they even asked me to somebody else say neighbor we gonna be all right [Music] yeah we're gonna be all right god got me i got y'all y'all got me and together we gonna be all right um i don't want to call names because i normally forget somebody uh but to everybody who's uh [Music] to everybody who's ever prayed ever called ever send a text message words of encouragement [Music] i just want y'all to know from the bottom of my heart [Music] i'm truly grateful and appreciative of it because people don't have to be nice and when they are nice they don't have to be nice to you and so to every person here every person that's watching uh every person that has text me um i just want to say [Music] just want to say thank you lastly i'm just thankful to god for trusting me such a great task it is one that i don't take lightly and anybody who knows me know that when it comes to ministry i'm very passionate i'm not mean i'm just passionate and the people who serve with me know i can be a little hard and i can be a little tough but there's always an emphasis on love and everything that i do i do it out of a spirit and a heart of love and when you're serious about what it is that god has for you and when you're serious about what god has placed and assigned into your hands there's a certain passion that you have and there's a certain passion that you have to display so don't be offended if i operate out of passion and one thing god is teaching me and that is to control my passion everybody say control yeah control so i'm excited i'm uh these tears are tears of joy i'm elated my heart is full um my dad whispered in my ear he said son you deserve it [Music] so um that's it can i that's it that's it um everyone's standing that's it that's it um [Music] they do have refreshments in the fellowship hall um so y'all get y'all something to eat and uh once again thank you for coming and making this day very special and memorable to me and my family and um restoration we good we good we're good we're good shall we bala here's a close eyes for word of prayer once again god will come before you this afternoon first of all god just saying thank you god we thank you for everything that our eyes have seen i ears have heard in our hearts have been made to feel i pray acts now god that you will bless this union between restoration and myself i pray and act now god that you will continue to lead us and guide us and direct us as we move forward into the next phase of ministry and god we will give your name all the glory all the honor and all the praise in jesus name and then god we ask that you bless the food and the ones that prepared it for the nourishment of our bodies bless them a special blessing on the cooks thank you god for blessing the cooks god we love you we thank you in jesus name let your heart say man amen and amen god bless you i love you and we'll see y'all real soon amen [Music]
