man the things i do for this channel two days ago i set out on a mission to find some of the weirdest quests to accessories and i am proud to announce i have completed that task in today's video i'm showing off some of the weirdest quest to accessories that you can buy right now this ran me well over a hundred dollars so if you do get any enjoyment at all out of this video i like would be much appreciated and maybe some if you want more content like this in the future i'll be giving each product a reading out of 10 one being other trash and 10 being a must have i'll also be giving away most of the items that you see in this video besides one specific item i'll explain why later in the video so if you want to win yourself one of these accessories drop a comment down below and what accessory is your favorite and why i'll be picking a winner in my next video oh and of course make sure you've liked this video and hit subscribe as i'll be picking people from my subscribers list so first off this video is not sponsored at all every single product shown off in this video was bought by me rip bank account first up is one of the most popular items on amazon out of the bunch and that's these beat saber handles by amvr they're pretty easy to set up and attach to the quest 2 controllers the grips are about the right size and they line up with the sabers in game pretty well they do feel a little cheap as the plastic uses a little flimsy but it gets the job done the foam grips also aren't all that unpleasant to hold though might get a little gross after playing beat saber for a while as your hands do get quite sweaty and that's obviously all absorbed by the phone now the products build is fine but what about their practicality should these legitimately be used in beat saber god no this is literally one of the worst things you could possibly buy as a beat saber player they add way too much weight to your swings and make faster maps near impossible i seriously struggled to get through even relatively easy expert plus maps while using these things they are a total gimmick and are clearly aimed at users that have no idea what they are doing this is nothing against the manufacturer amvr as they do make a lot of other really good products on amazon but this is definitely not one of them perhaps these could be of use in another saber or sword fighting game that doesn't require such fast flex of the wrist that beat saber does if it wasn't for the next big issue with these handles on top of severely hindering your skill and the game that they're marketed for beat saber the quest two controllers don't really sit snug in the holders so amvr includes a velcro strap to tie down the controller though this doesn't really work as the controller still rattles around in the cup this feels incredibly awkward to play with and i'm not gonna lie i felt incredibly insecure about using these as i was concerned the velcro could possibly snap at some point and have the controller flying out and smashing a tv the beat saver handles also once put into a review checker dropped from their already low 3.4 amazon.com uk rating down to a 2.3 once all the ratings have been removed and instead just analyzing reviews made by actual people it's also worth mentioning i constantly whacked myself in the nuts during low crisscross patterns in certain beat saber maps to the point where i now question my ability to father children the beat saber handles get a slap nuts out of 10. do not buy next up is another amvr products perhaps a redemption for amvr and that is the quest to elastic straps that offer a grip method similar to the valve indexes controllers this is something i briefly mentioned in my quest 2 lifehacks video as i reviewed using the wrist straps on the quest 2 controllers as a makeshift way to imitate the hands-free style of the index controllers and this obviously kind of sucked and i recommended instead looking for a dedicated replacement strap and handles like these as an alternative so are they any good well yes but actually no they work pretty well besides the cheap plastic used on the hand grips and the slightly weak elastic material used for the straps amvr's grips have a good range of adjustability they fit my hands well i provide three different strap colors so why aren't i recommending these the price these round me around 20 england is my city coins england is my city or as foreigners know them pounds which is roughly 27 unfortunately for eight or so dollars more you can get the kiwi designs version which seems to provide much easier mounting and adjustability from the research i've done kiwi also seem to have better reviews and are overall much more premium putting amvr's grips into an amazon review checker drops their amazon.cody uk rating from a 4.3 down to only a 3.9 so reflected in the reviews these handles aren't even that bad if amvr's grips were just a few dollars less i might be able to recommend them but since for just eight dollars or so you can buy seemingly much better straps i just can't give am vr's grip more than a 5 out of 10. next up is probably the one i was most hyped for but also most let down by and that's these dope looking 3d printed pistol attachments they essentially turn your quest 2 controllers into these frankenstein desert eagles they look awesome and are super easy to attach like it literally took me around 20 seconds to assemble and also i'm not gonna lie i spent a good 10 minutes just posing with them like a monkey having just discovered bananas exist however they also provided me great disappointment these things do look dope but that's just it they just look cool in actual games all i noticed was extra weight getting in my way when i was trying to hit shots and pistol would and they didn't really add anything to my immersion besides a slight decrease in my skill and a little annoyance if you're shooting a mixed reality trailer or just want to use these in a youtube video they might be worth it for 26 bucks but as an average user i just can't really recommend these at all and obviously unlike a gun stock like the one from protube vr or the one from mammoth via these provide no increase to your accuracy at all as you don't have a stock to rest up against your shoulder these are literally just a little bit of extra weight on the end of your controller putting the gun attachments into an amazon review checker drops its amazon.code uk rating from a 4.1 down to just a 4.0 so obviously these aren't terrible at all but still just unfortunately provide nothing of real use to an average player these quest two gun attachments get a six out of ten man these have all been kind of disappointing so far until now this is where we get to the good stuff next up is easily the one that surprised me the most and that's these insane looking quest 2 earmuffs by kiwi i'm not gonna lie i saw the amazon listing for these and honestly thought it was an april fool's joke they claim to enhance the quest to's audio by essentially you know cupping your ears as the quest who's off your audio solution by default as we all know isn't great they attach the side of the headset by snapping over their head strap side covers and they literally take like two seconds to install they can also slide back and forth to fit your ear position as soon as i added these i heard a huge difference in audio during beat saber they don't by any means make the quest use audio quality sound any better but they drastically increase its clarity and bass i was just pretty mind blown to just hear how much of the quest whose audio quality complaints could literally just be due to where the quest 2 speakers are positioned by default in the headset rather than actual audio quality however there are a couple of big downsides to these earmuffs one they look insane i mean this isn't really practical at all maybe you could justify slapping these on when sitting down to watch a movie in big screen but during games of traveling just makes these pretty unusable as they do fall off pretty consistently and two by making the quest whose audio just so much clearer you end up noticing just how flat and crappy the quest whose built-in speakers really are perhaps the quest to use speaker placement was an intentional attempt to mask just how poor the audio quality is and as a quick side mention the material used for these earmuffs is some sort of weird rubber that if placed on anything even slightly dirty or dusty or even something you didn't even realize was dirty or dusty this material essentially acts like a magnet for hair crumbs dust and oil this is the item that i mentioned at the beginning of the video that i wouldn't be giving away as they're just gross i dropped them on my carpet once while unboxing these and haven't been able to get the dog hair off of them since this is the one item i won't be giving away and instead probably putting them in a fire pit putting the kiwi earmuffs into an amazon review tracker drops its amazon code uk rating from a 3.5 down to a 3.4 with only six percent of the reviews being potentially unnatural this isn't really surprising as the earmuffs do do essentially exactly what they say they do overall the kiwi earmuffs were a surprise to me and can in instances definitely enhance the quest to use audio but their material and practicality just let them down the kiwi earmuffs get an 8 out of 10. finally on this list and by far the winner and a true redemption arc for amvr and that is amvr's ping pong paddle attachment this thing attaches in literally like two seconds doesn't feel particularly cheap and works great i honestly thought that this was going to be gimmicky but after five minutes and 11 table tennis i didn't want to go back to the regular controller this is actually kind of frustrating for me as i prefer to play 11 table tennis on my valve index due to the high refresh rate the paddle attachment for the quest 2 just feels so real and natural i actually felt a difference in my skill during the game as i was quickly able to flip around the paddle as needed in my hand to angle my shots better i never thought that playing ping pong with a plastic paddle attachment on the quest 2 would be the most immersive vr experience that i'd ever experienced so far but i guess it is my only complaint would be the marketing does make it seem as if you're getting two paddles one blue and one red instead of one paddle that's blue on one side and red on the other putting amvr's table tennis grip into an amazon review checker doesn't drop its rating at all which obviously isn't surprising as this is a very solid product that does exactly what it says it does overall i think this is a weirdly great attachment for the quest too that's definitely worth a buy if you own 11 table tennis or any other sport game that has ping pong in it amvr's redemption arc is complete as their paddle attachment gets a 10 out of 10 must buy anyway i really hope you got some sort of enjoyment out of this video going through and buying and testing all of these was a huge pain in the ass if you want to win yourself one of these accessories shown off in today's video besides the you know gross earmuffs drop a comment down below on which was your favorite and why i'll be picking the
