The Most Overpowered Quest 2 Accessories...

so my last video i hunted down the world's weirdest oculus quest to accessories so it only makes sense for me to make a video about the ultimate accessories that you should buy for your oculus quest 2. a week ago i set out on a mission to find the best quest to accessories known to man and i'm very proud to announce i've achieved that task i will also be writing each item out of 10 one being drinking water level bad and 10 being an ultimate accessory this is around a 770 dollar oculus quest 2 fully pimped out and upgraded yeah when i meant ultimate i really meant it a lot of these accessories ended up being pretty pricey though for those of you that are already broke from buying just a quest too there will still be plenty of cheaper accessories littered throughout this video that are definitely worth your attention and i would have been able to do any of this if it wasn't for a perfectly timed sponsorship from vr wave more from them later on in the video i'll also be upgrades out of the way that literally any quest 2 owner should have already upgraded the quest to headstrap by default as we all know sucks big nuts and is incredibly uncomfortable to wear for any longer than 0.0001 seconds the first ultimate upgrade is of course switching this thing out with literally anything else hell even a t-shirt is better i personally want this full head strap replacement from user it's adjustable via the knob on the back has a good amount of padding and it feels light years better than the stock strap but it's not without its problems installing this thing literally made me want to cry in a corner as one of the side pieces was a little too tight to properly snap on also once installed the knob on the back is incredibly loud you also don't want to tighten this thing too tight on your head as unlike most vr headset straps that are elasticated a little so you can take it on and off this one just locks into place and the knob can get a little stuck sometimes basically leaving you locked into the headset though the knob can be unstuck with enough force you just have to adjust this thing to fit your head and then just don't adjust it again you shouldn't be adjusting this thing every time you put the headset on besides those two incredibly annoying and kind of terrifying issues overall it makes worrying the quest to for long periods of time without making your head feel like it's going to explode from the pressure points caused by the default strap actually possible it also makes on-the-fly adjustments way easier as you don't have to fiddle around with two independently adjustable straps it's also one of the cheaper items on this list coming in at around fifty dollars the new zero head strap gets a three out of ten for its headset prison like adjustability and of course next up is replacing the disgusting sweat absorbing face pad that the quest two ships with even oculus themselves have admitted that this thing just sucks and gets gross really fast as they now offer replacement face pads with a collaboration with vr cover that use a different material all for totally free you just have to open a support ticket select the facial interface concern option fill out the form that asks for your email and name and in the please select your reason for contacting your section select that i would like to receive a replacement facial interface option fill out the remainder of the form and boom go ahead and submit that form and oculus should get back to you within one to three days it's not quite clear this is also offered to customers outside of the united states but it's still worth a shot anyway if you're for some reason denied a replacement or just can't be bothered to go through this process there are plenty of super affordable silicone covers on amazon like the one i use from igloo i absolutely love this thing as cleaning it is literally as easy as wiping it with a cloth it also does a good job of preventing light from the outside world getting into the headset through this well insulated nose piece it's also the cheapest item on this list coming in at just 14 the igloo silicone cover gets a 10 out of 10 ultimate accessory okay now that we've gotten the obvious out of the way let's get into some of the big upgrades next up is protube vr's magtube stock unfortunately at the time of recording this video i only have pro tubes valve index controller mounts instead of the quest two ones i have some arriving soon though so for the sake of this video you're gonna have to imagine i'm wearing a quest to and using quest 2's controllers the magtube stock is incredible i love this thing it provides an insane amount of adjustability to perfectly line up your virtual gun with your real-life stock it feels fantastic to use as the controller mounts using magnets which allow you to quickly reload or completely let go of the stuff the advantage that this thing provides in games such as pavlov feels like you're cheating i can perfectly nail virtually every shot i take with a 50 cal to the point where it would drive players to rage quit the game the front control attachment point also allows on-the-fly adjustability making adjusting for an ak after just using an m4 as simple as tilting the controller back or forwards at the mag tube is an insanely op attachment for the oculus quest 2 and can be fitted with mounts for any vr headset currently on the market protube's mag tube gets a 10 out of 10 ultimate accessory next up is these amazing anti-glare vr lenses by the sponsor of this genuinely deserve to be on this list as they provide a perfect solution to one of my biggest problems in vr that's eye strength from the original htc vive to the valve index to of course the quest 2 eye strain has always been a problem for vr users even if you don't need prescription glasses playing for long periods of time or playing a game with a lot of readable text or watching a full-length movie in vr can be really hard on your eyes these lenses from vrwave allow you to customize the lens to best suit you through their website as well as options to add filters for things such as blue light caused by vr headsets displays as well as anti-glare filters to help fight against dreaded vr glare i'm looking at you valve index you glare infested son of a these lenses are incredibly easy to install once you've clipped in the magnetic base to the headset the magnetic lenses just pop in having these be magnetic makes cleaning both the default lens and the prescription ones unbelievably quick and easy and of course if you do need glasses even when you're in vr fitting glasses into headsets can really suck and can result in scratched lenses this is made even worse by the fact that the glasses spacer included with the quest 2 for many people still doesn't provide enough space to actually realistically fit a pair of glasses and of course this is completely solved with vr waves prescription lenses as there's still enough space within the headset after installing them to prevent your eyelashes or eyebrows from touching the lens the airwaves prescription anti-glare lenses get off the audio solution as well as its microphone it's by no means terrible but can definitely be improved with the next upgrades so first up is these beautiful surround sound headphones by steelseries that are by far one of the best sets of headphones to be used the oculus quest 2 due to their interesting design they're actually the ones i'm wearing on my neck right now the steelseries arctis pros use a super comfortable ski goggle fabric to rest on your head so the bulkier frame of the headset never actually touches your head this is super useful as many headsets end up clashing a little bit with whatever head strap you're using with the quest too due to most headsets not being raised up in the same way keeping these headphones raised through the ski gold fabric not only prevents the headphones from clashing with the quest 2's head strap but also prevents any pressure points from building up on your head this makes long play sessions far more bearable and makes surround sound experiences in apps such as big screen totally awesome these however are the most expensive item on this list coming in at around 150 dollars though if you're willing to sacrifice some audio quality you can get some of steelseries's lower end version of the arctis lineup that utilize the same quest 2 friendly design with the ski goggle fabric the steelseries arctis pros although producing fantastic surround sound audio and providing amazing comfort and adjustability for the quest too are unfortunately dragged down by their insane pricing the steelseries arctis pros get a 7 out of 10. however big warning do not order directly from steel series as if you're sent a faulty item still serious support seems to be pretty notorious and ignoring refund requests i suggest ordering from a trustworthy third-party site with a good refund policy such as amazon so speaking of improving audio quality next up is this wireless mic from antelone audio if you're a content creator whether you make youtube videos or you stream on twitch you will likely be aware of the quest 2's less than perfect microphone quality it's not terrible by any stretch but it's definitely lacking angel on audio's wireless mic of course solves this problem as it provides significantly better audio over the quest too as i'm sure you've noticed by now it's also of course completely wireless so i can just take it off of the headset for its magnetic attachment point i can take this wherever i want can attach it to anything is incredibly useful and versatile even if you're not using it with your quest too the audio generally is crisper it's more detailed and just easier on the is it's also incredibly easy to set up with the quest 2 as you literally just plug in mod mike's wireless usb module into your pc and select the mic in obs or your streaming slash recording software of your choice antenna audio's wireless mic gets a 10 out of 10 ultimate accessory antelone audio's wireless mic is however one of
