The Niagara Falls TUNNEL at the Niagara Parks Power Station

today on Chad Cruisers we're in Niagara Falls Canada to check out the hottest new attraction [Music] today on Jack cruises we're in Niagara Falls Canada to visit the Niagara Parks power station and their latest edition the tunnel it was a beautiful day today nice and sunny and the perfect day to visit the falls the power station originally opened in 1905 and once harnessed the power of the Niagara River to generate hydroelectricity decommissioned in 2006 it reopened in 2021 as a tourist attraction and Museum [Music] okay so we came just as they opened and we're gonna do the tunnel first before it gets busy we want the best selfies right Chris yeah in July of 2022 an all-new feature of the power station opened the tunnel visitors to the power station to send 180 feet beneath the halls of the Niagara Park's power station [Music] so we took an elevator ride probably about a minute or so and we ended up down here at the entrance to the tunnel and you can feel the dampness really really down under it's chilly down here natural air conditioning it feels like going up to the CN tower but it's going down let's go down the tunnel I'm excited hopefully no trains the tunnel was used to transport water used for hydroelectricity back to the Niagara River and runs an impressive 2200 feet long the tunnel was remarkably carved out using only lanterns and dynamite and pickaxes and shovels back in the early 1900s now let's enjoy a walk through this historic tunnel [Music] [Music] as you make your way through the tunnel various displays explaining the history and the land surrounding natal are featured so what's most impressive about this tunnel is the length it goes so far um it's amazing and to think that we were walking above this before and we had no idea this was below us like this is a new attraction it's been here for a long time and we really have we really had no clue like this even existed it's a really cool tourist attraction and I we haven't even seen the best part of it yet and I'm already telling people you guys have to check this out when you're in Niagara Falls this is amazing amazeballs foreign [Applause] foreign because you can actually hear the Falls kind of almost roaring through the tunnel it's uh this is going to be an incredible view really looking forward to it [Music] thank you [Music] okay oh my God there's a light on the tunnel light at the end of the tunnel yes wow I can always see a nice view [Music] [Music] as you emerge from the portal of the tunnel you're treated to some fantastic and stunning views of the Niagara River and Niagara Falls foreign [Music] [Music] foreign was a bit of a misty day during our visit so the Falls weren't as visible as normal but still offered such amazing panoramic view of the Niagara River [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] exploring the tunnel we headed back up to the power station to explore the exhibits and displays up on the main floor of the power plant you'll find many immersive exhibits and restored artifacts including some old turbines and equipment and control panels [Music] okay so now we're exploring the power plant section it's really cool with the whole generators and Machinery here the tunnel is amazing amazeballs correct um that was the best part yes and icing on the cake I recommend getting here right when they open at 10 o'clock because now there's a huge lineup to get in and it does take time to go down and does take time to go back up so have patience but it's well worth it get here early if you don't if you don't want people cutting on your shot you better go there as soon as they open yeah and just go straight down the tunnel so they're gonna get the best view of the rules we all had our second shower and see my hair is all wet all right let's let's go along a little more [Music] [Music] of course it wouldn't be a museum or a tour spot without an amazing gift shop [Music] okay we just finished our Niagara Falls power station and tunnel experience what'd you guys think everywhere very cool amazeballs not the word keyword this is amazing this is one of my favorite attractions now in Niagara Falls there's like the Maid of the Mist there's the Spanish Aero car there's the journey behind the Falls this blows them all away I love this is the top one if you're going to Niagara Falls this is the best one I think he's just saying that because he liked all the Instagram available selfies no but it's you have to see it for yourself that's nice yeah it's uh yeah thanks for joining us today guys we'll see you next time on our Channel bye thanks for joining us today on chat Cruisers please check out our other amazing videos [Music]
