The NEW Most POWERFUL Handgun In The World? (The 500 Bushwhacker Revolver)

that's nice ow what the heck dang it what are you stupid listen to your shut up what do you know I'm going to shoot it [Music] [Applause] [Music] anyway almost what's up everybody my name is Scott and you're watching Kentucky ballistics and today I have a brand new revolver to show you one that you've been requesting for quite a while and I'm so excited to shoot it so ladies and gentlemen this ride here is a Smith and Wesson 500 Magnum revolver it is my absolute favorite handgun cartridge and is the largest production handgun in the world now somebody decided that that was not enough and they wanted something a little bit bigger so now I introduce to you the t2 Armory 500 bushwhacker so what's the big deal about a 500 bushwhacker well let me show you real quick this is a 500 Magnum round and this is a 500 bushwhacker that is absolutely Bonkers a 350 grain 500 Magnum round is going to be moving around 1,900 ft per second this thing is going to be cranking out rounds upwards of 2600 ft per second so technically I should be extremely excited to shoot this revolver I mean I Am The Recoil king of YouTube but there's a reason that this gun here kind of makes my neck itch and I've been avoiding it Let Me Explain real quick this is a Magnum Research bfr 500 magnum there's a lot of extra space in this cylinder here when a 500 magnum is chambered well T2 Armory decided to do something with that space and thus the 500 bushwhacker was born it also has this lovely muzzle brake that is supposed to help with recoil but that's not my dilemma my dilemma is I cannot seem to find any pressure testing on the 500 bushwhacker on the internet I know that the bfr is rated for 500 magnum pressures but will it hold up to 500 bushwhacker pressures over time so that is why I have been avoiding this revolver but you all keep requesting it so today I'm going to meet you in the middle we are going to shoot the 500 bushwhacker today but we're going to take some safety precautions actually quite a few safety precautions not looking for a when guns Go Boom episode featuring Scott again so I have some gloves I have cut resistant sleeves I have on level 3A body armor I have on a full face shield a ballistic helmet and most importantly I have on a cut resistant neck guard I think this ought to do it okay well for starters I'm going to shoot the 500 magnum and this way you have a Baseline and something to compare to when it comes to the 500 bushwhacker so here we go okie dokie here we go 500 bushwhacker I have not shot this before this is going to be my first time I feel so great about this feel so good hope you guys know that I really like you a lot oh boy all right here we go all right that was not so bad I was expecting it to be a lot worse so next this is the biggest round that I have today this is a 400 grain hard cast 500 bushwhacker and this should be moving around 2300 ft per second okie dokie get a good grip oner ride the lot here we go all right that was quite a bit more than a 500 magnum she'd be kicking all right well before we move on to other tests there's something that I'm going to need to get out of the way we're going to fire this with one hand using the 400 grain hard cast should be fun okie dokie this will be the real test won't it all right here we go all right that's pretty [Music] cool you know I feel really cool dressed like this I feel so tactical I see why Gan um dresses like this all the time like I could get used to it okay now it's time for some science I have a magical device called a chronograph this will measure the speed of our bullets and will also warm up my microwave dinners and then I have a 16in block of 10% clear ballistic yel I actually have two of these and these are made by clear ballistics all right 275 grain Barnes hollow point out of the 500 bushwhacker let's see if we can get a reading 2410 ft per [Music] second dang that thing really did a number on that block there's our entrance hole and that thing opened up really quick and really violently and then here is our second block it looks like we stopped in the second block there it is all the pedals are broke off it expanded and delivered a lot of energy to that first block okay that was a 275 Grainer let's try out the 400 Grainer here we [Music] go okay well I guess our results are going to be inconclusive all right we got the technical science out of the way now it's time for some Kentucky ballistic science I'm going to compare the 500 magnum and the 500 bushwhacker and see what kind of differences we get when we shoot some random disgusting targets our first Target is going to be two six lb cans of sweet peas all right first up is the 500 magnum holy cow [Music] oh my gosh [Music] oh that is a lot of pee there is pee on everything I got pee on the slow-mo camera I got pee on the power box I got pee on my phone now we're going to shoot two gallons of Elmer's Glue okie dokie 500 magnum is first oh all right now for 500 Bushwacker [Music] all right the glue was pretty eventful but I think we're going to get better results out of canned goods so again I have a six lb can but this is full of chocolate pudding oh [Music] 500 bushwacka holy [Music] cow this a is also quite a bit louder I have to say up next we got some eggplant because nobody likes [Music] eggplant the 500 bushwhacker looks like a pretty good handgun to take out glue pudding and things like that but how will it hold up when it comes to defending the Earth against the most wretched creature ever created a Furby goodbye you wretched [Music] Beast [Music] oh o oh my gosh look at that muzzle blast it blew its fur off all right up next I have two six lb cans of cheese and someone always has something to say in the comment section about what I do with my cheese well you know what it's none of your business because you know what kind of cheese this is go [Music] cheese [Music] oh oh oh be strong little table well now I have five five gallon water jugs and I'm going to shoot each one with the 500 bushwhacker and my bet is that that table doesn't make it past the second shot I'm just going to go for the middle oh okay it didn't fall over yet it fell [Music] [Music] over had to reset the slowmo camera holy cow we got two more last [Music] one [Music] [Music] wellow that's quite a bit of damage look at these things just completely annihilated the table is pretty much destroyed for me now I don't even got to do that that's a lot of energy big Bo energy well that's going to be it for the 500 bushwhacker what do I think about it I think it's actually pretty cool and it has a lot of power which I absolutely love in a handgun because I'm an absolute recoil junkie and when it comes to recoil it is not for the light-hearted and definitely not for an inexperienced shooter again my only issue with the 500 bushwhacker is the pressure testing will it last 100 rounds could be 500 rounds I can see that happening yes 1,000 rounds that's a realistic timeline yes all right I really want you to think about this one 2,000 rounds I can see that as a very real possibility we may never know but I do know this I think this thing is pretty awesome but it would be a lot more awesome if I could could find some pressure testing data out there so I didn't have to dress like this the whole time what did you think about
