The Moedim - Part 5: Yom Teruah

[Music] okay everyone well today is a high sheban today is yomtarua and i i didn't plan for it to actually land so that the teaching of the feast of trumpets would land on feast of trumpets it just kind of worked out uh i'll take that as a sign from elohim that he's the great optimizer in doing things in his timing um [Music] again we've been kind of revisiting some of the basics things in regards to the moadim mainly because of a lot of new people coming in and so that um once we go through this series you know how to keep it what to do uh you know why you keep it and uh for some of us that have been maybe doing this a bit longer it's always really good to revisit these things and see them with fresh eyes um now yom teruah this falls as part of the fall mode or as we would say here in the uk autumnal moadim although it doesn't have the same ring so with the spring mo redeem the spring-appointed times hopefully this came through in the earlier parts but we're actually these have been fulfilled so these have now become remembrances and as we've seen from leviticus 23 and many other places that these things are to be done throughout your generations uh in within the house of israel so just because something has been fulfilled does not mean it's done away with or that it's no longer valid uh it's actually a remembrance these things are now live in action right and those of you who've seen my biblical prophecy series will probably actually see that yah works to his appointed times even those that have been quote unquote fulfilled you know just when go watch the series for that statement to make sense so now we're looking at the formo demon these are the ones that we're waiting to be fulfilled okay messiah fulfilled the spring mo edema his first coming in one year sequentially one after the other literally and we're waiting for him to do the same thing with the former redeemed now fulfill them literally sequentially all in one year okay so let's start looking at yom turo which means because of the nature of these four modem i can't show you the fulfillment that's already happened but i will point to what we're expecting to be fulfilled if that makes sense this is what we're looking forward to so leviticus 23 23 and yah spoke to moshe saying speak to the children of israel saying in the seventh new moon on the first day of the new moon you have a rest a remembrance of tiruwa a set apart gathering depending on your translation it will say trumpets blasts shouts uh this is just how the isr puts it they've got the actual the hebrew there so this is why we're here today we're honoring this okay but as i've been doing throughout the series let's understand why we're here rather than just ticking the box you do know some of our work and you shall bring an offering made by fire to you so again this is considered a sabbath okay now i just want to throw this in there on the first day of the new moon which means this is new moon day this is why this is known as the feast that no man knows the day nor the hour because when does the new moon occur right does it do do you know exactly when it will be is the point i'm trying to make you always have a two-day window that it can happen on because a lunar month is always 29 or 30 days always it doesn't change but we never know when that is so you're forced to watch okay now this should be interesting in light of what messiah says you know watch therefore watch what we're told to be watchmen we're we're to watch the signs in the heavens that he's given us but just so you're aware of this this is known as the feast no one knows the day nor the hour because it could land on one of two days which should really bring up some interesting passages in your mind the word te rua so you shall have a remembrance of te hua alarm signal tempest sound of tempest shout shout or blast of war or alarm or joy it's not just trumpets it's not just shofars it's just loud noises in general uh it could be for alarm of war so it's got this war-like thing like a theme to it but shouts of joy as well like we were singing earlier so it's just loud noise but this thing of calling to attention it uh the other yeah the other dictionary puts clamor the acclamation of joy or a battle cry clanger of trumpets as an alarm so again this idea of you know wake up from your slumber and we're going to see these themes play out now it's said that this should be a remembrance okay the word used for remembrance is zikon okay a memorial a reminder a remembrance now here's the funny part it doesn't tell you what to remember nowhere in scripture in plain hebrew i can't say plain english um but there are hints okay and today i'm gonna bring one of these hints through which i believe the father's asking us to remember but it's interesting like you know sometimes things are conspicuous just by their absence so he's saying have a remembrance of zika and he doesn't tell you outright what to remember but it's there okay as we will see so we're going to look at some passages with the theme of shouts with trumpet blasts with uh that kind of thing to it and we'll see what thematic connections we can bring to the table so we know what to remember in first chronicles 15 verse 27 this is david bringing the ark up for uh to jerusalem okay and david was dressed in a robe of fine linen which is really interesting because you here you have a typology of a king wearing priestly garb okay so king priest okay think messiah type and shadow as were all the levites who bore the ark and the singers and ken anya the leader of the service with the singers and david wore a linen shoulder garment or an ephod actually which is again like a priest would have worn one of these the high priest so you get a really beautiful type and shadow of messiah and it actually seems to point more to the day of atonement um because he's only wearing linen right what did the high priest wear on the day of atonement when he did his rituals we'll cover this in a couple of days but he wore just linen he didn't wear his usual hyper the garments of glory as they're called so all israel brought up the ark of the covenant of yah with shouting and with the voice of a shofar with trumpets and with symbols sounding harps and liars now what does the ark of the covenant represent man's heart i was looking for a less deep meaning it's the throne of elohim it's his throne so you have this typology here of you could say intimacy they're bringing the ark to its restful place that you know and this is so you have this link with intimacy um communion with elohim if you know me this anyway i found that interesting because you have this type and shadow of messiah you know um this is the incident where his wife had a go at him for dancing it's that it's that incident but notice here that again why do i say intimacy because when when was the only time the ark of the covenant would be seen by someone day of atonement so here people are actually witnessing they're able to see the ark aren't they which is very interesting they're able to see a set apart object it would have been covered granted with the blue cloth but this would have probably been the only time someone outside of the priesthood would have been able to see the outline of it which is a really interesting thing here and this is linked with shofars with trumpets with shouting and lots of sacrifices right every six steps it's that event let's keep going i want to read exodus 19 um the giving of the torah now what day in the on the festival calendar did the giving of the torah occur on on shavuot but there's actually an allusion to feast of trumpets as well and we'll see and we'll see why that is moshe went up to elohim and yah called to him from the mountain saying this is what you are to say to the house of yarkov and declare to the children of israel you have seen what i did to the mitzrites to the egyptians and how i bore you on eagle's wings and brought you to myself and now if you diligently obey my voice and shall guard my covenant then you shall be my treasured possession above all the peoples for all the earth is mine and you shall be to me a reign of priests and a set apart nation those are the words which you are to speak to the children of israel now let me ask this has verse 6 ever been fulfilled it hasn't has it never have we been a nation of priests has the house of like our forefathers dropped the ball on this pretty bad this has never happened so this is actually i believe a prophecy now think of what the some of the fulfillments in revelation are yeah but that's yet to occur it still hasn't happened bear that in the back of your mind and yeah said to moshe see i am coming to you in the thick cloud so that the people here when i speak with you and believe you forever and moshe reported the words to yah the words of the people to you and yah said to moshe go to the people set them apart today and tomorrow and they shall wash their garments so think like they're about to meet with the king right ya is about to descend on earth and he says wash your garments and be prepared by the third day we'll look at this later on for on the third day yah shall come down upon mount sinai and before all the eyes of all the people and moshe came down from the mountain to the people and set the people apart and they washed their garments now what's moses a type what does he point to uh what document should i say torah so when the when yeshua says you know go and hear moses he's saying hear the torah so it's interesting that torah comes that moshe moshe the teacher of torah they call him in judaism rabbi he teaches torah and that so that's included in the setting of the people apart and the washing of the garments okay and again what's the covenant founded upon and he said to the people be prepared by the third day do not come near a wife okay i believe there's an illusion here to uh look is there a spiritual woman the seductress about so he said like think of the typology we'll deal with this a bit more when we because we're going to circle back to this okay to this event and it came to be on the third day in the morning that there were thunders lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain and the voice of a shofar was very strong and all the people who were in the camp trembled now it wasn't widely understood that this was a heavenly shofar it wasn't from the people and we'll see why emoji brought the people of out of the camp to meet elohim and they stood at the foot of the mountain a mount sinai was in smoke all of it because yah had descended upon it in fire so this is a physical manifestation of elohim and remember this is happening on shavuot and its smoke went up like the smoke of a furnace and all the mountain trembled exceedingly and when a voice of the shofar sounded long and became very strong moshe spoke and elohim answered him by voice now when we were just blowing the show far earlier it comes out strong but does it get stronger no we run out of breath don't we if we're not great at it here this show fire it sounded long and it increased in volume it got louder so this is one of the reasons they say this is actually a heavenly shofar interesting so the children of israel were commanded to have a remembrance of shouts and shofars let's go back to the commandment of you shall have a remembrance of the of blowing of tihua well what are you going to think of if you're an israelite that's just witnessed this event when is the last time you've heard a shofar you'd be brought back to mount sinai i.e the shah of what event because that's what you have in your recent memory for the israelites i believe this would have reminded them of the mount sinai event so now you have to ask yourself the question why were the children of israel being asked to remember an event that pointed to the giving of the covenant and of elohim descending from heaven to earth like why does he want like people don't ask themselves why is elohim commanding me this and i don't mean in a way of challenging his authority i mean this of knowing why so why would elohim command this so let's add some thematic connections to the blowing of trumpets cry out loud so this is isaiah 58 cry aloud again a shout right there do not spare lift up your voice like the shofar declared to my people their transgression in the house of yarkov their sins so the call to repentance yet they seek me day by day and they delight to know my ways so you can say they're knowledge driven they like the ear tickling right knowledge puffs up as a nation that did righteousness and did not forsake the right ruling of their elohim they ask of me rulings of righteousness they delight in drawing near to elohim so they're not even worshiping the wrong god he's saying like look they want to hear my voice they want to know my ways and all of this they say why have we fasted and have you you have not seen why have we afflicted our beings and you took no notes look in the day of your fasting you find pleasure and you drive on all your laborers so he's exposing their hypocrisy right that they're they're putting their faith in the flesh they're like look i've i've fasted i've humbled myself i've ticked the box and elohim is saying you guys need to repent you guys need to repent and look they delight to know my ways i believe verse two this passage you're seeing it in the torah movement people that are so knowledge driven and i'm not knocking obedience to the torah but i you know as we're going to see what's the reason for it so you have a court of repentance from worshiping him in vain they're worshipping elohim they want to know the hebrew to this and the greek to that right why have we fasted look at all the boxes we've ticked this is a court of repentance from worshipping him in vain i.e hypocrisy which should link us to matthew 15 and isaiah 29 matthew 15 or mark chapter 7 is the more common one you know when um the pharisees say to yeshua you know why do your disciples not eat bread with washed hands and what does he say well do you lay aside the commandments of elohim to keep your traditions and then he quotes isaiah 29 you know that these people they they seek to know me in that but their their love for me has become the teachings of men their traditions and the result of that is that elohim pours the spirit of deep sleep over them he says you know what you're going to be hypocrites in um in honoring me you're going to have the spirit of deep sleep which is interesting because in revelation we're told to hear what the spirit has to say say to the assemblies well if we're living in this delusional place where we're blinded so linking to yom repent stop being a hypocrite that's the first thing that we we're meant to think of jeremiah 4 if you do return o israel declares yeah return to me this idea of turning back to elohim and if you remove your abominations from my presence and see straying this means that on the path but they stray so they don't they have knowledge of the path if you know what i mean but they're just going off it and shall swear as yah lives in truth right without hypocrisy without guile in right ruling and in righteousness then nation shall bless themselves in him and they shall boast in him for this is what yah said to the men of yahudah in yerushalayim break up your tillable ground and do not sow among thorns this is speaking of the ground of your heart circumcise yourselves unto yah and take away the foreskins of your hearts so get rid of this fleshly stuff that's in here you men of yehuda inhabitants of yerushalayim lest my wrath come forth like fire and burn with none to quench it because of the evil of your deeds so again he's saying circumcise your heart not your you know declaring yehuda and let it be heard in yerushalayim and say blow a shofar in the land cry aloud and say gather yourselves and let us go into the walled city so again this is yom teru language shouting and again it's been linked to repent repent from your hypocrisy which is making you have the spirit of delusion so actually the voice of the shofar is there to wake you up out of your spiritual slumber now parable of the ten virgins what were they doing before the coming of the king they were slumbering and sleeping right and then they heard the the shofar blast of you know the groom is coming lift up the banner towards sion be strong do not stand still for i am bringing evil from the north and great destruction so now it's been linked to impending judgment as well repent now because judgment is coming oh my inward parts my inward parts i am in pain oh the walls of my heart my heart pounds in me i am not silent for you have heard oh my being a voice of a shofar a shout of battle how long shall i see a banner and hear the voice of the shofar so here it's the call of repentance and the warning from impending judgment okay repent now because if not y'all's gonna judge jeremiah six i've chosen the easiest ones by the way there's plenty more in scriptures the ones i'm giving you are the obvious ones there's loads more like illusions elsewhere oh children of binyamin so this is the southern kingdom from judah gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of yerushalayim blow a shofar in tequila set up a signal fire in bait hakarem for evil has been seed from the south and great destruction so again impending judgment i shall cut off the lovely and delicate one the daughter of zion so he's judging his people first as a well flows with water so she flows with her evil violence and destruction are heard in her before me continually is suffering and smiting be instructed a yerusha lion left my being be torn from you lest i make your waste a land not inhabited now instruction does that maybe involve a five-fold ministry maybe some discipleship maybe some accountability it's to be instructed means you need to have someone to instruct you now go think of proverbs one two three and four you know he who heeds discipline is the wise one but wisdom being linked to discipline and being able to accept reproof so now there's this idea of soften your neck stop being stiff-necked as jeremiah 4 put it circumcise the foreskin of your heart to break up the tillable ground of that heart lie unharden it to whom shall i speak and give warning so that they hear now again what does the spirit of delusion do it blocks your eyes in your ears you cannot see you cannot hear and this is because of our hypocrisy through our traditions see their ear is uncircumcised they are unable to listen see the word of yah is a reproach to them they do not delight in it but yet we read that they delight to hear his voice and to learn his ways do you see look you can learn about your faith but then your faith gets real right who here has experienced that you go past that point of knowledge and then the light of the word um hebrew says that the word of elohim is sharper right than a two-edged sword it pierces that between joint and marry pierces to the spirit right to the soul that's why it's a reproach now think of mount sinai what were the people saying when they were hearing these words stop we can't do this it's too much our flesh is going to die so they love the fleshly aspect they love the knowledge of it but when it starts cutting through all of a sudden nah therefore because of that kind of mentality he's filled with the wrath of yah i have become weary of containing it pour it out on the children outside and on the company of young men together for even husband and wife shall be taken and the aged and the very old thus said yah stand in the ways and see and ask for the old paths the ancient paths pointing back to the torah where the good way is and walk in it and find rest for yourselves but they said we do not walk in it and i raised that watchman over you and said listen to the voice of the shofar hear it but they said we do not listen why because of hypocrisy delusion therefore here you nations and no o congregation what is upon them notice is pointing not just to israel but to the nations as well which i believe is he's hinting at a future wrath here o earth see i am bringing evil upon this people even the fruit of their thoughts because they have not listened to my words nor my torah and they rejected it but these are the people saying that oh we want to hear from him you know they love to learn about my ways so again repent stop being a hypocrite right ezekiel 33 the word of yah came to me saying son of man speak to you the children of your people and you shall say to them when i bring the sword upon the land and the make that so again this impending judgment then the people of the land shall take a man from their borders and shall make him their watchmen and he sees the sword coming upon the land and shall blow with the shofar and shall warn the people then whoever who hears the voice of the shofar and shall not take warning if the sword comes and takes him away his blood is on his own head so right now that you know the the prophetic shofar blast the call back to repentance if you do not repent or you do not shemar the voice of the shofar your blood is upon you he heard the voice of the shofar but he did not take warning his blood is on himself and he who takes warning shall deliver his being his soul think of that of this prophetic illusion here because what is it that goes to sheol it's your soul right what is it that we're part of our faith is that we have a hope in messiah and one of the rewards of that is that our beings shall be delivered so i love this illusion here to actual resurrection already because david says i can't redeem myself right the the prize for a man's life is costly who does pay it but if the watchman sees the sword coming and shall not blow and shall not blow with the shofar and the people shall not be warned and the sword comes and takes any being away from them he is taken away in his crookedness in his blood i require the watchman's hand and then all the people come and use that as an excuse to be horrible to each other and you son of man i have made you a watchman for the house of israel and you shall hear a word from my mouth and you shall warn them for me so so far all these passages are repentance warnings of impending judgment and waking up from spiritual slumber okay this is the immediate thematic connection now if the warning of impending judgment is linked to yom teruah this implies that said judgment is a day coming soon now what's the next day on the festival calendar it's the day of atonement yes yom kippur so you have are you starting to maybe see some interesting thing will if repentance is young torah then that means judgment comes now when he's speaking to like the israelites back in that day what was the judgment in the form of captivity was that captivity assured yes the judgment was assured you couldn't get out of it is the point i'm making this is where this idea of uh the judgment being sealed on yom kippur comes from this is where the idea of the final court of repentance on yom teruah heralding the ceiling of the judgement on yom kippur that's the way that the jews understood it like uh and this is why it's called the days of all okay this is your last chance to repent in their um in their what's it called in their thinking in their teaching sorry they believed that your judgment would be written in the book on yom teruah and then then final 10 days you could get that judgment if you repented you could know that judgment essentially this is why they'll say things to each other like may your name be found written in the book okay this comes it comes from this ideology so how does resurrection fit into the picture because some of you have probably heard me say a gazillion times trumpets points to the reset uh to the um resurrection i nearly said reception would you like to know okay we'll get to that you've got to be able to come to that without your new testament because if you can't find your resurrection linkage to yom teruah in the in the tanakh you're not going to understand what paul was saying because where was paul drawing from so isaiah 26 verse 19 let your dead live together with my dead body let them arise this is clear resurrection language awake and sing you who dwell in the dust for your jews as the jew of light and let the earth give birth to the departed spirits now notice look this is if that doesn't shout resurrection i don't know what does but notice what it's linked with awake and sing joy awake what does the shofar do right it's to wake you up from your spiritual slumber now this means that there's going to be a heavenly shofar that will wake you up from the slumber of death okay think of the the typology go my people enter into your rooms and shut your doors behind you hide yourself as it were for a little while until the displeasure is passed so there's this i cover this much more in depth in the biblical prophecy series but you see this awakening this resurrection and this impending judgment is they say wait hide yourself because something's coming down the line okay for look ya is coming out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their crookedness and the earth shall disclose her blood and no longer cover her killed ones i actually believe you're seeing the 10 days of war here the period between trumpets and yom kippur again i cover this in depth in the biblical prophecy series and we'll allude to it when we look at yom kippur as well isaiah 44 21 remember now what's your a remembrance of right remember these matters oh yaakov in israel for you are my servant i have formed you you are my servant or yisrael do not forgive me uh forget me i shall wipe out your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like a mist return to me for i shall redeem you okay so redemption being bought at a price now again what does david say in the psalms i should have included this david says that no man can redeem man the price for their lives is costly who does redeem me from sheol he says asking this question implying only elohim can so this idea of remembrance redemption sing o heavens for ya shall do it shout o depths of the earth break forth into singing o mountains forest and every tree in it for ya shall shall redeem yakov and make himself clear in israel now what did we just read the earth will give birth to the departed spirits right the the dead will be resurrected and that was linked with awake and sing but in isaiah 44 it's linked to remembrance redemption and the earth breaking forth into singing do you see the the connections here and now this so now this is linked to redemption redemption of the body maybe as paul will put it yom terror is being linked to redemption and i believe this is why paul goes on to say this in romans 8 for the intense longing of the creation eagerly awaits for the revealing of the sons of elohim the creation the earth right think where's the where are the dead coming from for the creation was subjected to futility not from choice but because of him who subjected it in anticipation i.e like it wasn't just man that fell it was the creation that fell with it that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage to corruption into the esteemed freedom of the children of elohim for we know that all the creation groans together and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now and not only so but even we ourselves who have the first fruits of the spirit pointing back to shavuot we ourselves also grown within ourselves eagerly waiting for the adoption the redemption of our body okay so paul is linking redemption resurrection now as an aside let's quickly deal with this you know um in the charismatic mindset they say oh you know i groan within myself and that i'm speaking this heavenly language paul's telling you what that means here because that term about groaning that paul mentions it appears only twice one in corinthians and one here and you look at the context what are we groaning of because of our fallen condition we're not blabbering away in some kind of unintelligible uh gibberish this is speaking about look have you ever had that moment where you just think come you sure come this world has nothing left to offer that's the groaning paul's talking about hosea 13 the crookedness of a frime is bound up his sin is hidden pains of a woman in labour shall come upon him he is not a wise son for it is not the time that he should delay at the breaking forth of children from the power of sheol from the grave i ransom them from death i redeem them where is your plague death where is your destruction oh sheol repentance is hidden from my eyes now again look at the he you have been ransomed from sheol being redeemed from death okay what did we ring earlier uh read earlier sing o heavens shout out depths of the earth break forth into singing why because ya shall redeem so when you take this in isaiah 44 23 you've got the linkage to yom teruah to redemption in hosea he's saying by the way i'm going to redeem you from death from the power of the grave so now you can kind of link i think i've got this on the next one again paul speaking that we grow within ourselves why because we await the redemption of the body so we have redemption of the body resurrection all being linked to yom teruah language and this is where paul comes out as you said earlier first corinthians because again where is paul getting this from he's not just pulling out a rabbit out the hat i speak a secret to you we shall not all sleep so you'll be woken up at some point but we shall be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed the term last trumpet is actually an idiomatic expression it was traditional that on yom toro you would have the hundred shofar blasts and guess what the last one was called the last trumpet and it was called the doll which was you give it all you give it the it's the biggest loudest you give it the full welling okay and that's what he's reporting to again where does paul get this understanding from well hopefully i've given you the obvious illusions right well they're not even illusions it's very clear in my opinion for this corruptable has to put on incorruption and this mortal to put on immortality and when this corruptible body has put on incorruption and this mortal has put on immortality then shall come to be the word that has been written and he's quoting hosea what we've just read death is swallowed up in overcoming oh death where is your sting oh sheol where is your overcoming so paul's drawing is from hosea and he would have known isaiah hosea 6 come let us turn back let us repent back to yah for he has torn but he does heal he has stricken but he binds us up after two days he shall revive us on the third day he shall raise us up so that we live before him i believe this is so prophetically charged especially when you understand messiah coming on the fourth day and then you've got day five day six boom day seven resurrection third day again let your dead live together with my dead body let them arise awake and sing you who dwell in the dust let the earth give birth to the departed spirits i'm repeating these verses to really like solidify the links and then sing o heavens for ya shadow it shouts o depths of the earth break forth into singing for ya shall redeem yakov and make himself clear in israel i believe this is how paul could say we're going to be redeemed from death and then link it to yom teruah jeremiah 31 now most people know the end of jeremiah 31 don't they 31 33 where is the giving of the renewed covenant but we don't read before at that time declares yah i shall be the elohim of all the clans of israel and they shall be my people jeremiah 30 and 31 are one speech okay and in the previous chapter it talks about the regathering of the house of israel thus people escaped from the sword found favor in the wilderness israel when it went to find rest yah appeared to me from afar saying i have loved you with an everlasting love therefore i shall draw you with loving commitment so you're getting these bridal illusions here i am going to build you up again and you shall be rebuilt o maiden of the israel now it's interesting when jeremiah was saying uh prophesying to um to judah was the house of judah a spiritual virgin at the time no she was a playing the harlot and here he's saying he's calling he's essentially saying you will become a maiden again again you should this makes sense in light of you know then he'll give you the renewed covenant where he'll write the torah on our hearts and again you shall plant vines in the mountains of samaria chameron the planters shall plant and treat them as common for there shall be a day when the watchmen cry on the mount ephraim and say arise let us go up to zion to yah our elohim for thus said yah sing with gladness for yakov and shout among the chief of the nations cry out if this is not your language i don't know what is and say oh yeah save your people the remnant of israel so now another thematic connection to yom teruah is us crying out for him to save us now that again we groan within ourselves what for the redemption of the body save us from this world that's just collapsing in on itself see i am bringing them from the land of the north and shall gather them from the ends of the earth and so now the re-gathering of the not just is the house of israel this is being linked to yom teruah now if everyone if all the righteous are being resurrected and we understand that the righteous are part of the house of israel do you think that in a resurrection they're all re-gathered it's the quickest way to do it by the way with weeping they shall come why because of their repentance with their prayers i bring them i shall make them walk by rivers of water in a straight way in which they do not stumble for i shall be a father to israel and defry him he is my firstborn hear the word of yahweh nations and declare it in the isles of far off this is what the isles are far off is idiomatic talk for those scattered to the four corners he who scattered israel gathers him and shall guard him as a shepherd his flock for ya shall ransom yarkov and redeem him from the one from the hand of one stronger than he so again you have redemption being ransomed from what the power of death that's what we're being redeemed from yeshua said this he shall send his messengers with the great sound of a trumpet and they shall gather together his chosen one from the four winds from the end of one end of the heavens to the other great where again where did yeshua get this idea from he wasn't using his yeshua powers yom speaks of being redeemed from death and of the resurrection so you have repentance so you need to repent because this is also going to happen and if you haven't repented well guess what you're not partaking of and how is this redemption even possible what is it that redeems us the blood of messiah with that i want to some of you may have already know in fact i know some of you might know this already let's look at revelation 12 very quickly a great sign was seen in the heaven a woman clad with the sun with the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of 12 stars and being pregnant she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth and she bore a male child who was to shepherd all nations with a rod of iron and her child was caught away to elohim into his throne so who's that speaking of messiah right so look at this sign in the heaven you've got the woman clad with the sun the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of 12 stars this is on the 11th of september 3 bc you have the woman with the moon at her feet which by the way was a crescent moon the first possible sighting where's my mouth gone she's clad in the sun right here and then you've got leo again this is hugely prophetic but i don't want to get into it but leo has nine stars but during this alignment you have the wandering stars these are the planets they would have known of four of them because and they were they were called wandering stars because they didn't uh they move unlike the stars now here you have a conjunction of regulus which is part of leo which is known as the rule it's the ruling it's got this idea of ruling kingship behind it and jupiter was known as the king planet so you have a conjunction in leo with regulus king jupiter king planet do you see the themes the line of judah the king and then here as well you have the other um two wandering planets mercury and venus so you have leo's nine stars and the three wandering planets ie 12 stars and what's really interesting is that the planets at this moment as well they go right along the elliptic okay who can who can mess with the signs in the heavens no one can by the way that was feast of trumpets september 11 3 bc your messiah was born then so going back to how is this redemption even possible so the redemption of the body points to yom toro well no better than the king who does redeem you to be born on yom torah what's really interesting is that kings were coronated and crowned on yomtaru as well by the way this settles the conjunction a sliver argument as well because it's uh three percent crescent there but i digress but again like no one can play with the signs in the heavens elohim set them in motion when he put the made the creation it is what it is and this doesn't happen well hardly ever it happened moshe goes up to elohim and yah called for him from the mountain saying this is what you say to the house of yarkov declared to the children of israel you have seen what i did to the mitzvoth how i is mine and you shall be to me a reign of priests and a set apart nation again this is yet to occur well you need some resurrected people to do that with right to he who overcomes this revelation will put it ya said to moshe see i am coming to you in the thick cloud so that the people here when i speak with you and believe in you forever and moshe reported the words of the of the people to yah and yah said to moshe go to the people and set them apart today and tomorrow and they shall wash their garments what are we being called to do is what what is what is repentance right the cleansing of our garments by the washing of the water of the word i.e moshe and shall be prepared by the third day right on for two days he's stricken us on the third day he shall revive us for on the third day yah shall come down upon mount sinai so he will be seen what does yeshua say then you shall see the sign of the son of man and moshe came down from the mountain to the people and set the people apart and they washed their garments or as revelation would put it the bride has prepared herself and he said to the people be prepared by the third day do not come near a wife so while we're waiting for the close of the sixth day we need to be preparing ourselves and not sleeping around with the of mystery babylon right and again what are the themes of yom teruah stop being hypocrites stop you know this idea of being delusional because of our traditions man's tradition the the infecting of religion through mystery babylon he's saying pack it in you you need to have done you need to have this sorted by the third day which is now linked to yom teruah to the redemption and all these things if not judgment is coming right that's the flip side of the coin and it came to be on the third day in the morning that there were thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain and the voice of the shofar was very strong i believe this is pointing towards the resurrection it's this is happening on shavuot but you are saying you know when you blow these shofars on the day of trumpets i want you to remember something right and this is what they're hearkening back to it's almost it's like remember i'm coming back and it's going to look quite similar to this and the voice of the shofar was very strong all the people in the camp trembled right and moshe brought the people out of the camp to meet with elohim and they stood at the word at the foot of the mountain a mount sinai was in smoke all of it because yah descended upon it in fire so we have what um they call they like to call it a theophany an apparition of god in the physical okay when yah literally shows up like a theophany i believe this is what this is pointing to you elohim is going to show up and when the voice of the shofar sounded long and became very strong moshe spoke and elohim answered by voice and then what follows is the giving of the covenant between elohim and his people right let's kind of tie this together now that covenant was written on tablets of stone right wasn't it yeah now what did we discuss last week uh when we were looking at shavuot the events of shavuot and the outpouring of the ruach allow the covenant to be written on our hearts right like and the gifts of the spirit the ruach also by means we're convicted of sin of righteousness of the ie preparing our garments right it's by the power of the ruach that we overcome and prepare our bridal garments in time for the return of our king during our betrothal period right remember what i said last week we're in the betrothal period still where he's the the groom has given the gifts to his bride and he said i will return i will return in the meantime make sure there's oil in your lamp because i'm coming a time you don't expect at night and make sure your wedding dress is ready because it was the bride's job to make her wedding garments so she had to be ready it can happen so we're in this position now in between the like on the prophetic timeline between the spring mower demon between the four mode we're in this place and today we need to remember i believe what we've been alluded to today that we're going to witness mount sinai but the actual fulfillment of it i believe mount sinai is a prophecy if that makes sense and now that we have the ruach that covenant needs to not be on the tablets of stone it needs to be on the tablets of our heart we need to prepare why because a day is coming when he shall redeem us the only way we're going to overcome is with his ruach are people seeing the kind of timeline thing the people seeing the link to shavuot through to trumpets remember what i said last week we like to think of the mo edemas their own little individual things and we put them in boxes and the boxes can't touch each other right men think like this but it's one continual threat they're all interlinked they build one upon the top of the other again just because the spring mower demon fulfilled doesn't mean we do away with them we they're alive they're in action they grow let's look at the wedding covenant so again remember there were several stages the hebrew wedding the shidduchim which is the matchmaking stage where you know they look for a match the erusing which is the betrothal stage and the nissarin which is the marriage and we should i showed last week how the spring mo redeem all point to the betrothal part of the ancient hebrew wedding ceremony which means that the former odin point to the actual marriage you know this nisuri now what's really interesting the word nissarin it literally means to take or to lift up from the root word nassau which means to lift up so there's something the idea what would happen the groom would lift his bride up okay think of the typology what's you know being lifted up from the ground you know the earth give giving birth to the departed spirits not only would the groom come to take his bride he would honor her and lift her up he would say come on up here okay come up to my level essentially yeah exactly when the groom came for his bride there was a great procession of joy jubilation shofar blush so what would have happened it would have happened at night and the groom would have had two shofar blowers at the front of the procession blowing the show far saying the groom is coming now think of the two witnesses what are they doing what are they witnessing to the world well they're getting people to repent and apparently the world doesn't like it but they were blowing the shofar of repentance now again this is all in the wedding ceremony the bride would see the light of the procession in the night she would see it just the way in the distance because it happened at night and you what at night you carry your oil lamps don't you so the bride would have heard the shofar blast she would have seen the light in the distance now what day does yomtaru happen on first of the month which is the new moon which is first sighting of the crescent so we look do do you see the parallels then she would have to go out and meet the groom as he came for her that's why she needed her oil lamp because they they met in the middle and i love it's almost as if i believe james may have been alluding to this when he says draw near to elohim and he will draw near to you she would have had to have her oil lamp to go out and meet the group and now comes the parable of the wise and foolish virgins which we will cover at sakot when we look at shmini atsuret the eighth grade day although the bride knew to expect her groom after about a year because it was tradition that the groom would go away for a year to prepare the place for his ride she did not know the exact day or hour neither did the group neither did the groom okay it was the father of the groom who gave the final approval for him to return to collect his bride he'd say you're ready now son go collect your bride okay now again the feast of trumpets the day of yom teruah is the day that no man knows the day nor the hour hence watch right watch watch and for that reason the bride kept her oil lamps ready at all times as the groom would come in the night it was their traditional for them to have a separate oil lamp spa especially designed for the day and it would always be filled with oil and then they didn't have to use that in in every days they could just do people get that she would have also had to make sure her wedding garments were ready the the the bride made her own wedding dress for the day she ain't got a garment ready if she's what's slacking being too busy with the things of this world not looking forward to her marriage do you see the the typology the groom would then take his bride this is what i believe yom teruah is pointing to where the bride and the groom meet at night and he lifts her up and he takes her back okay the couple would finalize their vows drink a cup of wine to signify their union and we'll we'll look at the rest of the ceremony as we delve further but to wrap it all up in a nice little bow what does yom turo mean repent quit playing the harlot put aside your hypocrisy stop being knowledge driven and actually get to know your messiah and the way we do this is because of the events that happened that shavuot okay we have the power of the ruach the gif uh the the groom gave us the gifts of the spirit he gave us the ministerial gifts and what does that help us to do to grow to grow in wisdom to have his covenant written on our hearts so that when young toro does come the when he you
