[Applause] I was in jail sometimes people when I lie me so tell them I'm here from nobody and it was hard but you know what I said let me get up let me get up every day and I'm gonna be greater than I was yesterday and I said listen I'm telling you I don't care how down you is you get you can bounce back every day I deal with it I come on I'm looking for my brother a day but you know what I'm gonna get up and a day that I get up I'm gonna turn up every day and if I could turn the baby then you could turn a baby day you know me I do for my family I do what I'm tell you right now okay what nobody say please draw near people there's nothing we can't do remember that ain't nothing we can't do we kings we queens we out here we can do anything we want that was the voice I heard when he first got released you know around the time he first got released out of prison and I said wow what is this boat of energy that I'm witnessing yeah you know through this social media platform who is this guy what are you about and then I tell following him from there and I saw him going to well some people would say is the worst part of the streets or the worst part of the neighborhood and I saw him point out the beauty you know that comes from the worst part of the neighborhood each and every day have to be I see this man uplift folks I seen this man stand in the middle of a highway in the rain with just him his tripod and his cell phone and talked to people about and it was early in the morning you know I get up early in the morning so I'm up with them and he's telling people why you still sleep is it because it'll rain a little bit of water is not gonna help you you got to get up off your ass and get out there and get to it and from that moment I determined this was a man of spirit that I had to connect with and then something told me I gotta give this man this platform to continue to work that he's doing because he's a two-time felon we know I'm from major figures the Philadelphia North Philly rap group from back in the day yeah that was signed a rough nation which was Chris Schwarz label yeah who also signed the Fugees and I did work with Chris Schwarz the snipes movie that he did and we had Nelly in the soundtrack and we did all of these different things really tight with major figures and this man is out and now he has how many followers you have now over 60,000 welcome to the show man wallow to 6/7 welcome to the show thank you I know if you if you listen to this you better be laying in your bed you better be getting up and you better be grinding you talking about you want this you want that what you gonna do to get it yeah what you gonna do you always talking about it you got to put the work in and nobody else gonna put in order to get the things and nobody else got stop sitting around you know you tell people that all the time and got to because you know it's black people a lot of times we always complain yeah I got two strikes I you know if I trip jaywalk I might go back and never come back again so I'm always making it happen why you can't make it happen how'd you get two strikes where was your mind at prior because I was uh I was suffering from identity crisis see when I stepped outside of my house you know when I was a kid because I first time I got arrested I was 10 years old for robbery okay when I stepped outside of my house I said whoa it's not cool being me I had to be somebody else so you know I ain't know how to brace my individualism so being anybody else was that's cool and then the city also goes on yeah a lot of people you see that's toughness no no no no no no no that's back then that's not who they are we got the best actors in the ghetto mm-hmm she together was extraordinary place we don't understand that so my whole thing was like damn I want to be him I want to be him I want to be him and I want to be him and I lit it I lived it all the way to and I knew being him him my og wants to me said listen you know you're gonna penitentiary somebody gonna put you down I said oh I'm cool with that that's cool that's cool because you know you be in the state of mind where you just accept all this with being going to jail started to be cool that started to be hip you started accepting I was programmed early going into juvenile facilities going three months in there during the year then doing 14 months it prepped me for the penitentiary so when I got 20 years in the joint of his like Oh ain't about nine to one day I woke up in the penitentiary realized I'm looking at the ceiling I said whoa I'm in jail for being somebody that ain't me I need I'm not even giant even get in jail for being me because I never got a chance to be who I truly was I'm smarter than this I'm stronger than this I know I'm better than this yeah my god then I realize how God did cuz I was perpetrating I was out here fraud I was out here starting acting like I was somebody that was it and then once I was able to say damn that ain't sure you bigger than that I took that mask off in the game change for him the game train how many years were you in when you took that mask off I'm probably was in like 15 years 15 years because because what goes on in prison it's not designed the shape you see a correctional officer is not there to correct you idiot just said they get a check and keep movement see that's what people understand it's about you and there to correct you what you gonna do but when you go there you got you got sports you got weights you got games you got television you got all this what are you gonna put inside of your mind to enhance you to enrich you if you're not gonna put anything it's out of your mind it's not gonna hand you I had one selling just one seller had he's argue with me about watching the Travel Channel all the time he's like damn why you I said man I'm I'm not a gentleman I'm traveling all over the world Anthony Bourdain us this was going on yeah he's like man I said listen man let me tell you somethin I ain't a gel I'm in Yale man I ain't in prison I'm a Princeton I ain't in Penn State I'm a Penn State man I'm here to give my mom rights like the shower I can't do that if I keep playing games I heard every light of this every war story I heard it and it told some you know how to share some of them haven't been receptive to many of them but I that can't do them for me I can't win with that what made you decide to take what you learned after that 15th year and and as you start finding your identity what made you decide to hit the ground and start sharing it with the public that well you know this would happen see what happiness ran it's his cell phone gonna join okay so listen I've run it to herself for me to join I get a selling cell phones now cuz I had to connect so you had a cell phone while you were locked up I was in prison that's why I started a while or two six seven Instagram and a joint okay are we down so I get his cell phone I had all this stuff I used to write down because every time somebody a young kid had come to the to jail I'd be like come on let's walk to track I walk to track one in four days cuz I want to know anything about real life in the world you know I mean he be telling me all yeah yeah yeah I'm telling you Instagram this does rapper this this this dude I'm late okay I'll be right Navy now I had the book of life that's what I call my bol I still got it I write all my ideas and so once I got the fruits I had up what you called her wireless hotspot with an iPod touch my boys listen man it's how you stand so when I seen the Google and I'm just typing stuff and stuff popping up yeah I said whoa so after like a day - like a day I'm sitting there I said already got us you see what she told me I said they got his own dinosaur time in prison so when we go out there we won't be prepared we don't even come back you know by well they teaching you trades about plumbing wood they need to be teaching us they need to have somebody here telling teachers how to develop apps and stuff yeah my ID teacher this is dinosaur stuff you going YouTuber fix your own toilet and all these trades they gotta hit his design these old hooks I said why didn't I giving us access to the technology I said these dudes is a thousand years behind yeah I seen that but then I seen the flipside I looked on Instagram and I went out looking I'm gonna go so whole [ __ ] drop drop the phone one day I said I said and was going on damn people lost they running late they don't even know what's going on they party is a big-ass party going on out there I said oh man I got to wake him up so was a it was a organization and greatest for a prison in uh Pennsylvania call it a really street talk yeah so one day I'm in the Lord I bake my og come to me said listen we need you to talk man I said talk for what he said we need to talk to the brothers man we got a little thing we put in his just real street talk about with men you know you got a lot of dudes in penitentiary and greatest for they got 40 60 70 yeah gear is literally better than being in prison yeah that's correct sometimes we can't can we can't cross each other a lot of us don't know we stronger together oh the new people greatness yeah they don't understand that you know you know when you plant someone in the soil to soil it was already it got strong and that's another thing everything great come from soil and that's a dirty place that's how to get a wish we dirty in the ghetto but but if you you a vegan or you just do vegan you getting all the great things from the dirt that anybody say is wrong and a lot of times we in the hood we've run from it but I'm gonna go back to this og say listen you got to come down and so I came out and when I say you not to talk that so I was like eight dudes down the ice I just start spitting because I was able to I was able to connect the game yeah the lane wrong with extreme with the lingo of Education the language and just put it together and say here this is what it's about and it was like the NES do me but it was important when you educating black people our people in the ghetto especially to you you got it you got to get it come across in a nanosecond it can't be elongated yeah you can't be bland and you got to have some type of credibility in order to be receptive to the information uh-huh so I'm giving it to him for more from 6 to 20 from 2050 from 50 to 200 people there now we've given it to him yeah so I had this one brother Liu Lucy be a security for Malcolm X you know he was in the nation Islam back in the day you know from first resurrection I love L feel on top of the clock so he was like yo man send me in a cell and AC man people be listening to you soon I'll be moved by a lot of people he said but you moved me man when you talk I just feel step away you make brothers cry you beat on seeing some real stuff cuz I ain't going I ain't gonna come and say damn swear man you got a good show you going to stare third I'm gonna say say what you doing with your kids man while you have a [ __ ] uh-huh now listen you know you go to jail you know you're saying [ __ ] you kids and all that way you know that way you know that's what you say cuz anybody else gonna tell you that so I gotta tell you that yeah everybody got a position in life and that's my position to tell you some real royal stuff yeah so he said you got to go out there and talk to people so I came home and it was just like bang swallow 267 ladies and gentlemen let me let me ask you this when you came out and now you get from behind bars and you start listening you come from the hip-hop generation you listen to the music and the messaging and the music or and you see everything that's going on looking in hip-hop culture in the rap culture where were your first initial thoughts it was like you know I can't miss I'm going to say this I grew up or votes magnetic means I'm saying I listen to ice you know nice teachers ice you know all that you know a child called question I keep black when I came aboard some serious [ __ ] you know so it was like well I'm listening I'm like damn I know sometimes things the design wears dope you got to put certain information out there to keep people sleep yeah we gotta you got to put the right funding behind that information that's gonna keep you sleep if you're not on the side of the people that's trying to give whoa mm-hmm so a lot of people I was able to understand some music and I was able to say damn let me have some goofy shitty saying but that's really his struggle that's his struggle some people that's what they're going I know a lot of dudes is fraud not a new studio gangsters but it was like you still had some quality music you just had to find it you're not the Frogger you had did you got to find it but it was a lot of stuff that was out there that was like but then again I had to say to myself I always quest myself when I'm listening to certain things and people be critical about people that's rapping I'll be like the hill making this record I'm telling his truth from the environment that he come from and what he was educated on gonna save his life that's gonna take him on the street let's go save him in a bunch of homies cuz like in Philadelphia got a lot of you got a lot of cash of rent yeah and I was telling the DJ one time me me and my cousin Gil was on the phone we talked to DG was like listen man we telling you about this ravenous rabbit for a reason and I'm telling I'm saying listen man you might not be tomorrow that's why I'm telling you to get his ball play yeah pounce our papi might not be any more known is he might not be Rico have it might not be the more puns he might not be anymore by tonight might not be here tomorrow hey I'm saying so we when you look at I'm like damn these guys really might not be here tomorrow you really don't know lo don't may not be tomorrow because they living in real situation these dudes Pop's was murdered or they Pop's was in the penitentiary so now you just like what's going to happen so mean when I'm looking at I'm like I can't be we always critical about there but a little homie could be out this ship somebody yeah I'll sell us some stuff all right well when he get all free meek mill's when he get on at the same time you now many people's getting on you got to have a man he's got a head his sister you got a head this you got it you got to have somebody's more playing this you got a head is so now a person to get off anything all these people from the hood yeah now all these people is getting hired from the hood so now you got them and it's like that's a good thing yeah my mom was singing he gonna poop baby they gonna go to jail or this artists and this artist and this artist yeah they might go to jail because Philly that's the that's the kryptonite of us is jail are you getting drugged up and drugged up I mean we got so many artists that lose we lose so the ends justify the means yes I was like yo I can't not like what you say but uh rather you not be walking somebody penitentiary yard or shooting somebody else and you provide jobs I understand some then we try to we try to say it ain't no violence it's like Danny said some real-life goofy [ __ ] that was some clown [ __ ] he told the boy to get high is it reality that's all he know now what's his education mm-hmm everybody's educated different anybody can't go to college some people gotta go to the school of hard knocks and the school of hard knocks is the reality of the ghetto sometime Marlo two six seven you brought up you got to Philadelphia y'all need to be an afro tech you got a cell for you should have been there you got Apple check is the biggest black tech conference in the world and you Poe speed if you got a cell phone because even if you ain't know none about tech you might have learned some about tech or you might have connected with somebody that coulda gave you some games you could create your own rant or you create something that's going on and you get and you can stop being a customer and stop being a hustler on the thing that you got in your pocket yeah you guys you understand you got to make some money out here yeah we gotta get some paper and you working your phone will you pay 700 800 you paid $1,000 for the new phone how much money you gonna get back and I know I make money off my phone what you gonna get back what you gonna do is you gonna hustle your phone with your phone go hustle you that's the question what the iPhone thank you you better make some money off that phone okay say no more that's all I'm saying let me ask you because you've been in this you're from Philly you been in the system still got papers oh you know get free okay what what how do you assess what's going on with Meek Mill in the protest that's that's happened a free Meek Mill and it and it seemed like the conflict he has with this sorry sprinkly how do you how do you assess it we don't see tonight before he texts me said come come down the chorus speak for me mm-hmm I went down there you know I know what there's a courtroom and it was like I ain't ego holes I'll be doing no friend I'm in the courtroom and it was like during the recess he was like wile domain sitter you ever seen it Jess I said me cousin man I'm in the scale like I'm ready to go back to jail and I ain't listen I said I've been in joint firearms and robberies and all that that's what I'm in the court room for I have been in the court where my homeboys is going in for murder I ain't never seen a judge act like that it's personal sometimes this person is sometimes it's the game mm-hmm you know it's really the game and it's like there's a sad situation you know what the parole and probation is like like for some real stuff I'm really in jail right now mm-hmm you know me you going back to jails like me going to the hole were you on parole you know a probation that's the reality of it as they keep you as they keep you trapped only if you let it keep you trapped because I'm the type of person in a bind like me I don't care about none of that ya ain't nothing on this planet stopping me with me I don't care about no proof because the people that know you do what you wanna do because I'm a different type of individual so they only they don't even mess with me today like oh you ain't got to worry about you but when it come to probation and parole and I'm gonna say some real stuff sway me personally I gotta speak on me police think I'm looking for me I went looking for the police when I was out there doing some dumb [ __ ] see I checked I check out people because they ain't nobody else gonna check it because when we come from if you outside our racing you checking our people your races and if you inside our racing you checking our people your hater mm-hmm so now everybody want to stay on and in between all I ain't gonna say that I ain't gonna say that I know i'ma say I don't when I spoke about black businesses yeah I said listen man get your [ __ ] together when I come in here you're doing listen if having be coming in to get ahead don't know be on that phone put that phone now turn that music down she been I'll be waiting hour for you know a wash and a blow it should be waiting it to three hours what is she so nobody want to check our peoples that's why we messed up now and we can't grow we can't grow cuz everybody scared to check us when you say I didn't the police didn't come looking for me I went looking for them mean by there I was out there doing some dumb [ __ ] I had listen let me tell you something they don't ever tell you about the black people is doing extraordinary things every home and then I walk the track within the penitentiary they got 10 to 15 black people I mean they got 10 to 15 family members that's law abiding citizens that go to work 8 David is doing right but it's hip listen in our community you and net but it's hip to be squaring on reality but nobody tell you this so what I'm telling you is I had all the opportunity to do right I didn't want to be me I wasn't comfortable with being me I understand some things to go there but the lack of five like this but still what about boo boo brahim cam what's name then when I was standing on the corner they walked by me even though they had holes and he sneaks and they still when he got the education and they made it in life what about them see we always looking see I ain't gonna do that I ain't going to I ain't gonna angle disrespected I ain't gonna disrespect y'all ain't gonna disrespect our people and tell them all man is that I understand is there but when do the excuses stop yeah and the putting you put the hard work in order to get what you trying to get in life that's judges going because now you took execution you made that your career you made that's your life does excuse oh I can't do this I can't do you [ __ ] stop [ __ ] stop lying stop lying stop to slick [ __ ] wallah to 6/7 we got open up these phone lines you want to talk to this man eight eight eight seven four two three three four five give us a car ready to six seven in my pen his voice is as important if not more important than your favorite rapper so pick up his album - coming soon 2018 it's already elsewhere it's already the EP no will you stop you but you it's all platforms yeah titled motivation motivational attracting you sleep you yeah the EP no yeah no one can stop you with you I love what I'm hearing and I think it's important for it for it to be heard I'm gonna open up the phone lines as well on Trevor's on the line from Salt Lake City as good man say what's up to wallow to 6/7 get the new EP too for sure welcome brother I'm glad to see that you're out doing with it a third time calling and I'm the black dude Trevor that lives in Utah okay I'm a rich I'm originally from Los Angeles and when I first heard what you guys were talking about I got tears in my eyes right and as such and I run its thing that's going on so it's so cold I have to start writing down topics because everything some nidus brothers mouth has always been in my head I did a four and a half year being in the penitentiary in California my mom she's from she's the executive secretary for the Western Regional Minister for the Nation of Islam so he's been a Muslim household like my whole life she was she was a single parent and when I listen to brother it's almost like he's had to redefine what his definition of being a man is right I'm listening to to the things that he went there and things that he that he's developed over the years and and it's it's an interesting concept of going to the pan because the gives you an opportunity to sit down and really reflect about yourself so Tina's either go make you worse or as well make you better well I could sit there and talk to brother all day about the things that you guys have been talking about but I just want to call them and just solidify from from a not famous point of view everything that he's saying is true and I'm just so I'm just so happy that a 45 is giving you guys an opportunity to provide a platform that this information can come out I mean when I think they're not listen to some of the interviews that you guys do some of the people I see that that's part of the the genre and that's part of the game so to speak but you guys be slipping in these tidbits information that I think is what really the benefit is that's why I listen to you guys every morning way in the morning Heather B Tracy G thank you thank you Oh Q like Mike news like I listen to you guys all the time because I'm listening for these tidbits of information so when brother was talking about how he's got to get this information out here it just it just hit home like I got out I got I graduated college I needed up coming out here because the board of prison towns wouldn't let me out of California go to Morehouse where I got a scholarship ended up going to USC and then kevin was playing football out at a college out here but we were say to you by curves you can come out here and check my you tell him I go out the airport everything like black people I came out here on a Friday I was looking for a job on Monday I've been out of 19 years that's right bro you can follow wallow wallow 267 and Thank You trav you you kinda you just exposed our blueprint right there but thank you man that's exactly what we do up here we got um an in Los Angeles go ahead hey good morning guys excuse my morning voice it's like 747 out here still so sorry about that I just wanted to say first off I didn't even know who wallow 267 was I didn't even have shade 45 till I got this new car like a month ago so I'm loving that right now but all I'm saying is I'm tired of all this moly Perkis at this listening you know going on Instagram seeing little pump or this or I'm not I mean I don't want to hate on people but I'm just tired of it man everything so washed down now and just good to hear that somebody's actually talking about some real stuff and you know promoting some real stuff and talking about being woke and promoting education and positivity because most radio stations as I'm sure you guys are all too familiar with just pump garbage out to the youth and the people who are really you know impressionable right now and I got two daughters so it just means a lot to me to hear someone talking about some real stuff let me say something to you real quick problem you there yeah let me tell you something your opinion is not hating see we got to get away from that we think our opinion is not hating you if you don't like hot dogs usually hot dogs you would you ain't no hot dogs think about that you got to be able to get away from their monster because what they do is it paralyzes and stop us from from speaking how we truly feel and then now anybody lion each other so just remember that bro and thank you for your call man make sure to follow him to wallow too so I want everybody who follows this show to follow him if you got instagram wallow wall2 six seven I need y'all to support him while oh this conversation is so important right over here because you know we're speaking about the process of them learning and specifically in this situation it's a lot of them learning with hyper-masculinity with anti vulnerability and just shifting your mind shifting your heart but I think it's also really important and I'm sure you'll agree for men and a lot of black men to shift your eyes meaning the way that you view women a lot of times when it comes to this music and we all know that repetition is the mother of learning so you're learning okay that these drugs are cool to take or you're learning that it's cool to have all these weapons and you're certainly learning that is cool to just look at women for their body purely for show and not for substance at all so for men who are having a hard time looking at all of these stories of sexual misconduct that you're hearing or sexual harassment and feel like it's a witch hunt and don't understand why women are speaking about this and feel like men are sissies if they are more accepting of women's opinions and the right to have your body be protected by the opposite sex what do you have to say see there's multiple things about that see at the beginning of life and your kid especially in inner cities of America a lot of times daddy dear so women believable men tell him so sometimes he's going through phases with a different many men coming in and out of their house so now they're being educated on and whatever your mother is willing to tolerate you're gonna grow up there that's Dutch education rather is a woman or man so now starting from a little age he's coming up and that's how you lookin at him he's hearing these things in the hood and he's seen these stuff that the television is telling you so now the value on the black woman is so is so taut because the media and the television re-educated you're on the black man ain't nothing he beat us down enough so I was like all right cool narrate I'm a black woman come on the TV and the shows is heightened there's some nut [ __ ] they got to be fine it got to be this so the value of the woman is just skin every day every time you watch allons-y abs a lump is like this it's like this because you can't get on the show unless you doing some dumb [ __ ] so now the value in a man I didn't music is just like boom boom it's like there's no value on you because of all this media input the input you seen in inner cities so now I was like if they said I gotta be this I gotta be this and the women as being that so now the man looking at it like if you're not knowledgeable and if you ain't educated and a lot of brothers ain't because of dad nobody was doing educator who was there to educate them only thing we learned at an early age he was dehumanized when we fell off that swing and daddy said boys toughen up we was taught to ignore emotions that's why we emotional is a lot of us you can't be you can't you can't embrace your feelings you got to be salvaged emotions you got to fight your feelings and in the cities of America that's what we taught that's what anybody told be tough be this beat is if anybody teach you that if you cries a little boy you're a [ __ ] mm-hmm don't be human that's another way of saying don't be human so we be humanized the kids if you humanize everything that's going everything about our coaches about listen don't feel don't feel don't feel is being real be tough tough tough tough tough tough and now we just we just we just messed up and we got a reprogram our way of thinking mm-hmm and that reprogramming can feel like an attack because you've never heard of it before your life they could feel like it could feel like it attacked a lot of people say listen man I need a hug instead of me the sense way I need a hug I might do some other stuff looking for attention I'm gonna react tension is listen man you gotta stand attention is the new currency the lies the new religion no religion is more powerful in the world no disrespect of nobody than unlighted we create for ourselves when we start worshipping so a lot of us have created this line and say damn okay I'm winning okay I'm doing this okay everything that I write on my Instagram bio box is that that's me okay and we just be living this line is losing the next thing you know we forgot anything about the reality and we lost to 6/7 man i'ma take this final caller John from Chicago and he's looking for some advice John go ahead I thank you guys ever since I got my Sirius radio I listen you guys every day on my way to work also some just something it's like almost like going to church sometimes you hear that message just changes your whole demeanor and whole outlook at things spar voila right wala 267 yes man I've been looking at this hope that you have on your Instagram right now long story short I survive I'll just make this I'll try to make this as quick as possible as a surety I ran with the wrong people attracted the wrong people got a bunch of trouble decided to turn my life around basically when I turn 21 and pursue my education and all people out I was big into music I go by the stage name Agati which actually is an acronym it's answered God offers talents to individuals and I knew what's that name there that's kind of looked at a little differently you know but I thought what the heck room there I want to make was called movement called motivational music and you know while I heard you talking a lot about that and man just to try and bring this up to date here the whole reason why I'm glad you took my call sway and guys yes turn my life around 10 years stayed out of the court system didn't see my war or anything I was happy all right yeah I worked in higher education I've even taught classes teach a class on diversity I write a number on the board number 16 okay I mean to cut you off but I need you to get to that question okay I just want to say like God basically what happened couple years ago I got in trouble for I always push things on the side I got a little bit deeper in the game and got caught up I know cats Tony I'm I recommend John John John John John listen give it to his baby because you know he got a show to run right here no disrespect to you but we got to keep you know as other people is involved give it time Oh basically I lost my job a month cause and deep depression I was actually on my way right now to go get some work and be like you know what I'm just gonna hustle they got this felony on my record I can't get anything out here and I have to my car this is the first thing that hopped on well and I stopped right in my car and I decide not to you decided not to work go grab this work oh that's going to that job was less important than you speak it's what you say no no from the base way he told so many stories you know what because he had a moment like that tip over John's life into a spirit ok brother no that's exactly right that's what happens thank you guys yeah so hearing what he said prevented you from going to do something illegal yeah what I need you to do is take that same ingenuity that you have when you move that
