within Hogwarts Legacy you are obviously playing as a student at Hogwarts now when you are a student rise at the beginning of the game you have to pick what house you want to be part of those being Gryffindor Slytherin Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff now unlike in the actual Harry Potter series in the game you actually get to choose which house you're part of it isn't automatically picked for you the Sorting hats will assign you to one of the four houses when you begin the game and obviously you get to choose which of these that you go for and it is more than just dressing in certain colors the house that you do pick will alter the game's mechanics to provide a singular experience distinct to the house that you are in so it is pretty crucial that you pick the house that is right for you now in today's video we're going to go over which house you should pick in Hogwarts Legacy so let's get straight into it now as we did just mention even though these sorting hats will be present in Hogwarts Legacy it's up to you to choose which house you'll be assigned to therefore all that is required of you is to choose the ideal home when the opportunity does arise if you want a more that you get some cosmetic items with that too so first of all we're going to look at Ravenclaw now Ravenclaw is obviously one of the four houses that you can join in Hogwarts Legacy the residents of this Mansion are renowned for their wit Brilliance and Limitless insights Raymond claw can be the ideal home for you if you respect reason and information one of the three tallest Towers in the game the Ravenclaw Tower contains the common room area for the Ravenclaw House the greats Lake The Forbidden Forest the Quidditch fields and the herpology greenhouses are all spectacular sites for ravenclaws so as you can see there's actually quite a few places that you can visit that are pretty you know they're pretty fantastic to be honest they're pretty nice and they're awesome to visit they've got some great views and they've got some pretty cool things to check out as well and that is all part of the Ravenclaw House people generally consider the common room for Ravenclaw to be the most spacious and the most open according to its description that is the Ravenclaw common room has arched Windows all along the sides and is a large circular room with a fireplace in the center giving it the appearance of being Airy and well lit so if that style of common room seems like something that would interest you then by all means go for Ravenclaw since obviously going to be spending a decent amount of time in this common room and every common room is completely different to the other depending on which house you pick so it's definitely worth taking a look at these and seeing which one you like the most and then you know maybe going for that house now at Hogwarts there are thousands of students since each house has its own unique set of colors one of the simplest methods to determine which house someone belongs to is to look up what colors they are wearing you can utilize bronze and blue clothing such as robes and scarves as part of your Ravenclaw uniform if you do choose this house so yeah depending on which house you pick you will have different style clothing and different colors that are set with your character if that makes sense so for example if you're part of Ravenclaw then you're going to be using bronze and blue garments and robes and scarves so if you want to be able to see what houses that other people are in then you just have to take away look of what they're wearing and you will be able to determine which houses it is depending on the colors of the clothing that they are wearing and we'll get into the other colors of as we get onto the other houses now I do obviously know that there will be companions for your player as part of Hogwarts Legacy and it has actually been confirmed that some of these will be students as player companions so by joining Ravenclaw you will ensure that you have a companion who is a fellow housemate now at the moment it is unclear whether you only have access to the partner who lives in the same house as you or not but it's crucial to note that all of the other houses have confirmed companions Ravenclaw is the only one which we haven't seen a companion video for however I do think that Ravenclaw will have a student companion since all the other ones do so it would really make no sense for ravenclaws he'd just be the one left out there but yeah for the time being that companion is really unknown so so you know that might steer you away from the Ravenclaw house which is completely understandable if you want to be able to know exactly what companions you'll have access to as part of the house since with rainbow at the moment you don't know what that's going to be so you might want to stay away from this at the moment so that was absolutely everything that we know about Queen Ravenclaw house so now we're going to move on to Gryffindor members of the Gryffindor House are really renowned for their bravery chivalry and boldness if you think courage and determination are the best qualities someone can have that maybe this will actually be the right house for you to enter the Gryffindor common room you actually have to locate the hidden entrance behind the fat ladies painting and squeeze through a gap to enter the room make sure you know the password before speaking with the fat lady because it will only be known by students who have access to the portraits so obviously if you actually have joins the house then you will know that particle and you'll be able to enter the common room but if you don't and you aren't part of that house then you're gonna really really struggle to be able to enter the common room for Gryffindor it is also worth noting here that every single house has its own very unique entrance to get into its own common room and obviously the actual common rooms themselves are all unique to each house as well so there's lots of unique things here that make the game actually pretty different in some cases maybe you could even squeeze four playthroughs out of this game selecting a different house every time that's just you know maybe an idea there so when it comes to the colors of the house if you do join Gryffindor you can use gold and red garments such as robes and scarves as part of your Gryffindor uniform so that's an easy way to tell if someone is part of the Gryffindor House now if all of the companion theories are correct so we mentioned earlier then your companion as being part of Gryffindor was being natsai onai and you can see this in some of the footage and you can see a picture on screen now where this could be the case but obviously this might not specifically be tied to the Gryffindor House that hasn't really been confirmed yet but then again it could also just be tied to Gryffindor so you know if you really want to be able to have that companion then maybe go for Gryffindor just in case so that is pretty much everything that we know about the house Gryffindor within Hogwarts Legacy so now let's move on to Slytherin the members of Slytherin have always been known for their ambition Pride determination and cleverness if that sounds like something that you'd be interested in or feels like something that you know you carry yourself then I would say that you know the Slytherin house is definitely for you the general characteristics of the Slytherin house are pretty similar to Gryffindor but more focused on success and if that sounds like something that you're interested in then once again I would say that this is definitely the house for you now in the dungeons of the castle you will be able to find the Slytherin common room the windows in the common room allow for you to observe what is happening beneath the Great's leg because some parts of this room are actually underground so that's a pretty cool part between this common room and a pretty unique feature here that we won't really be seeing in any of the other common rooms for the different houses so if that's something that interests you then once again I would say that Slytherin is for you now the entrance to this room is hidden behind what appears to be a regular wall but once you use the Crux passwords which is needed if you are part of this house then a passage does appear revealing the entrance to the room so yeah obviously he'll know that password if you are part of the house joining Slytherin will allow you to use silver and green garments such as robes and scarves like we mentioned with all of these others and yes that'll be part of your Slytherin uniform so you know green and silver are the colors distinct to the Slytherin house so if you like those colors then you know maybe this is the house for you and when it comes to the companion if the companion theories are cracks then joining Slytherin we'll see secure use of Bastion swallow as your companion so now we are on to the final House available in Hogwarts Legacy and this is Hufflepuff now the members of this house are known for their loyalty strong sense of justice and modesty so if you are someone that takes pride in your hard work and know that friendship is one of the most important things in life then Hufflepuff is definitely for you so within your free time you'll of course have access to the Hufflepuff common room and this is located in the Hufflepuff basements near the Castle's kitchen to be able to enter this common room you'll actually have to tap a specific Barrel to the rhythm of Helga Hufflepuff and this room is considered one of the coziest common rooms in the castle and is filled with a wide array of colorful plants and flowers there are also dancing cacti all over the whole common room which is pretty cool so as you can see this is a very green common room focusing a lot on nature really and just the natural environments when it does come to the colors of the Hufflepuff house you'll be using yellow and black garments low mesh with all the other ones these will include robes and scarves and it is also possible that you'll be unlocking poppy Sweeting as your companion as part of the Hufflepuff house so if that interests you then I would go with this house so there we go that is everything we know about the four houses within Hogwarts Legacy those being Gryffindor Slytherin Hufflepuff and of course Ravenclaw of course all of the common rooms are completely unique as well as the entrances to those common rooms alongside the colors for each house so there's actually some different you know there's some different contents within each of these houses so like I didn't mentioned maybe it's worth playing through the game four times to be able to play in all of these different houses I'd rise at the beginning of the game of course you'll get the choice to pick which house he wants so
