[Music] [Applause] good morning brothers and sisters today we celebrate the eighth sunday in ordinary time the healing eucharist incorporated as the sbd secretariat for social communications in cooperation with abs cen philippine daily inquirer palik bayan handicrafts and pagoda philippines incorporated celebrate with you this holy mass our mass preside is reverend father mario jose ladra we now begin our celebration [Music] oh blessings [Music] every heart oh [Music] in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen the lord be with you and with your spirit good morning everybody good morning father once again welcome to the celebration of the healing eucharist during this holy mass we pray for all our intentions we pray for those who are sick especially those who are suffering right now in the hospitals in their own homes we pray for all the overseas filipino workers and for the sea failures we pray for our families brothers and sisters to prepare ourselves worthy for the sacred celebration please bow your head and let us now ask god to forgive us of the sins that we have done and committed together i confess to almighty god and to you my brothers and sisters that that i've greatly seen in my thoughts and in my words in what i have done and what i have failed to do to my fault to my fault through my most grievous fault therefore i asked the blessed mary ever virgin all the angels and saints and you my brothers and sisters to pray for me to the lord our god may almighty god have mercy on us forgive us our sins and bring us to holy gospel [Music] oh [Music] the lord be with you and with your spirit a reading from the holy gospel according to saint luke glory to you o lord jesus told his disciples a parable can a blind man guide a blind person will not both fall into of pit no disciple is superior to the teacher but when fully trained every disciple will be like his teacher why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye how can you say to your brother brother let me remove the splinter in your eye when you do not even notice the wooden beam in your own you hypocrite remove the wooden beam from your own eye first then you will see clearly to remove the splinter in your brother's eye a good tree does not burn rotten fruit nor does a rotten tree burn good fruit for every tree is known by its own fruit or people do not pick figs from torn bosses nor do they gather grapes from brambles a good person out of the store of goodness in his heart produces good but an evil person out of a store of evil produces evil for the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks brothers and sisters the gospel of the lord praise to you lord jesus christ i'm sure we have heard it saying and i quote the best and the nearest way to a man's heart is through his stomach uncle 27 verses 4 to 6. jesus for from the fullness of heart the mouth speaks luke chapter 6 45. dude foreign disciplinado chapter 27 verse 7 and i quote our gospel reading today and our readings have important and beautiful lessons in our life number one brothers and sisters always remember this chapter 6 41. so brothers and sisters these words of jesus have a very important reminder to all of us that before we criticize others for their faults we must first ask our subs whether there is dangers strengthen them in their loneliness give joy to their communities and fulfillment in their apostolate may the lord reward them in this life and in the life to come for their sacrifices and generosity for the kingdom we pray lord listen to our prayer let us pray for the urgent concerns of our community and our personal intentions we pray lord listen to our prayer lord we also pray for your spirit upon them like the dewfall so that they may become for us the body and blood of our lord jesus christ at a time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion he took bread and he took the challenge and once more giving thanks he gave it to his disciples saying take this all of you and drink from it what is the chalice of my blood the blood of the new and everlasting cabinet it will be shared for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven do this in memory of me [Music] the mystery of faith when we eat this bread and drink this cup we proclaim your death o lord until you come again refer as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection we offer you lord the bread of life and the chalice of chalice of salvation giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence administered to you humbly we pray that partaking of the body and blood of christ we may be gathered into one by the holy spirit lord remember your church throughout the world make us grow in holiness together with francis our pope eunesto our bishop and all the clergy remember our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection bring them and receive you into my soul since i cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally come at least spiritually into my heart i embrace you as if you were already there and i unlike myself holy to you
