that we have to go and kill gorash Gort gorash one of those is from wow one of them is from balers Gate 3 anyway that guy um and uh of course as a reminder Delores is fairly gullible and drinks the Kool-Aid so he thinks oh right well I mean she said we got to do this or she'll kill LEL so we better do this so that's how we're going to do [Music] it catching up on a backlog of bg3 has been a marathon of sprinting man playing it has been ridiculous we're still at it we Tri probably have many many many many hours to go second play through no first play through stagger I have been very careful to only play on streams and we don't stream every day on the plus side it means I don't have to worry about my content here being a spoiler for people anymore because theoretically hopefully anyone who you know was very eager to play bg3 and was worried about story has already finished the game by now maybe two or three times so you know fingers crossed about that but yeah this is still our first playthrough there are many things I don't know we are also uh as a reminder very against the spoilers over here um which me I have to adjust the tag I kind of wish I could save my tags per game cuz I have to like like I have to remove the like spoilers not allowed for um when I play uh dwar Fortress because you know we're not as worried about spoilers for that one uh the same way first play through there we go add those tags back in boom spoiler Bal gate and Forgotten Realms wait what we're not greyhawk the hell you say Le very least we an Ebron right I mean there's enough big mechanical dudes running around here we must be an Ebron uh Eon by the way is a uh a fantastic one of it's actually the setting I think I had the most fun playing in um in third Ed origion Lane yes they they've revised the books for fourth and even fifth although I think the fifth deed wasn't an official Wizard product um and it's great it's where the war forg are from war forged are an invention from Eon um that have been um sort of blessed with becoming like kind of a main tier race at some point I thought bers gate was the remembered Realms yes is the Forgotten Realms where all the Forgotten beasts come from in Dwarf Fortress could be could be handome well thank you carneer had a late start this morning ha's still a little bit a little bit wet so we might get some extra frizz going on but you know what that's always kind of some fun let's uh let's quickly check the uh the subs that have come in at start of the stream here if I can find the correct tab to do that in and then we'll go ahead and get started fotino Decay thank you very much for the resub 39 months says uh quill thumb up quill War quill PE PE quill nuke quill LOF waffle uh Theodore as well with a oneyear twitch adversary from Theodore full year POG absolutely and yes mgz shax with the 109 Monon resub been around here for a long time and said man catching up backlog of bg3 has been a marathon of sprinting ah ah so let's play uh so tactician the expected challenge is running quite smoothly um I think tactician is I here's the thing I think about tactician I think anyone who clicks the tactician button is going to have an easy time right because anyone who clicks the tactician button is someone who is probably somewhat experienced and at least crpgs if not D and D if is someone who's probably um if not you know if not going to try hard at least do some amount of optimizing and and honestly tactician's not that difficult the thing is and we've talked about it before some people really strugger struggle on what is it Explorer mode or story mode the easy mode right it's easy medium hard new players who have no experience in the ctoan still have a hard time on easy and experienced players who are good at D have an easy time on hard I think easy need to be made easier hard needed to be made harder there are a lot of mods out there to make hard like super hard um there's some really crazy stuff out there but we are running mod list for this particular run so it's that um yeah if you do if you do even a little bit of optimizing veteran not that challenging in fact I said at the time when I switched from um from normal to veteran um I said at the time the game got easier because I started trying at that point actually started giving a little thought to the strategy and how we open up fights and the game became easier which is crazy that with um I gave uh the hardest difficulty on Casta a try uh and it was just brutal brutal it would be cool if you could tune the difficulties right if instead of just picking I don't remember it would be under here right for gam playay you can change your difficulty anytime they did they move this from gameplay as well cuz it should be under gameplay did they move it to accessibility too just like the explicit content I don't know where they move the difficulty setting but um it would be interesting if you could tune it yourself you know like it's not hard enough I'm going to be playing where all the enemies have like 300% hit points and hit for double or something oh it's it own button in the Escape menu oh that's what it is right right right right right um so yeah I think I think on tactician it gives all the enemies like plus two to hit and plus two to their saving throws and 30% more hit points I don't think 30% more hit points was enough I think I think for proper hard play through I think the enemies needed double hit points I think that would have been the thing and yeah there are lots of mods to increase that I appreciate bg3 is harder difficulty a lot more than breath of the right just solely because Pathfinder games assume you're playing Super Duper Mega Optimum yeah oh I think maybe there should be five difficulties or at least four like I think they could have made Explorer a little easier kept balance where it is then put tactician and then put the like super duper crazy hard mode right tactician is okay you have to try a little bit and then super duper hard mode is okay fine we're going to make you work your ass off anywh who let's get back to the story here again bezel has been kidnapped we are way more swaggy than we were uh last episode we only had a 2hour stream on Monday and we spent a bunch of it dressing up our characters because you know that was very important um I really like this outfit we got on carlac going on everyone's just walking around the camp clothes now who needs to show off our armor we've got some cool clothes I mean aan still in his OG gear but you know what it works for him it works I did say swaggy um so we're standing out here of The Foundry which we have to infiltrate for a number of different reasons um so the theory is this Foundry is responsible for making these steel Watchers these steel Watchers are what gives Gort um his real tight Rin over the city and particular we have to go and kill him we want to kill him anyway but Orin is like encouraging us to kill him real fast I didn't realize this was interactable um real fast and then in theory you know she says then we get LEL back of course Dell Dell believes it sure this is what we have to do so there might be opportunities to like sneak into this I don't know there might be some secret tunnels secret tunnel I did experiment we can jump over here onto the beach and walk our in but I might I might just go through the front door I mean I hate stealth anyway why don't we go into the front door I mean we'll we'll be careful with Aion here we'll just wait for this to path out of it Vision oh that's true some of the enemies have slightly different abilities on tactician that's true too pleasure I pick this lock oh it failed okay you do dude you're under a little bit of time limit come on UI go faster there we go all right he made up for times we'll just wait for this to patrol around again we're just going to and then honestly I'm not worried about getting caught by these steel Watchers we'll probably just bash them but there is a door here so presumably we could make the run up there I'm assuming there's a side door over here as well yeah now's got Vision we'll just officially open the door and that's fine so short this morning Shad heart is wearing the clothes the priest and tap it's defitely possible get hold of that armor I mean it probably requires violence but I know maybe there's something else so so yeah we could try to sneak behind this guy there's another one patrolling over here somewhere I don't know where he is oh there he is so we're probably about to get caught and you know what f it let's just go for it back better engage this way oh you got a good initiative oh not everyone in the party was uh was caught okay see that's [ __ ] terrible this is exactly what I was trying to avoid I'm like you know what we're just going to jump in and engage on our thing um I didn't realize not everyone in the party was engaged there uh it looks like the steel Watcher got an insanely good initiative regardless that's terrible that's not how I want to start this off yeah I didn't want to do start things like I just want to go and start a good fight on one of these dudes I got to remember playing a bunch of caste yesterday I got to remember that we can uh shift uh ship space bar to enter turn base mode as well in this game which is not exactly an option in the same one so aan who's our best fighter probably is going to lose that which is really kind ofum is all that matters and I don't want to be sandwich part of me is like you know what I was too busy talking I just want to redo the start of this we're going to do basically exactly the same thing but I'm not going to be walking in stealth I just I want the fight to start right away I was too busy narrating to play the game so I just want to walk in exactly the same way except we're not going to be in stealth because I don't want to be in stealth no time to waste oh I should have made a save afterwards but that's fine hang on I wonder if he he cares the only thing I'm going to do for the stealth is just make sure that we can open the door without interruption I think we would in fine anyway I mean it just starts with the staring on the ground wow we literally just failed the first roll as well and now he's turning around he's probably going to spot us okay can you finish your interaction thank you keep your we weren't stealth that's fair okay so I going to stealth just so that we can walk in maybe I should just turn and engage this guy Quick St and then if you like sneak attack someone from outside of combat you do a stealth check to see if they notice I'm not stealthed I was like where's where's the combat initiative role I'm what watch did lose Health but barely how are we not in a fight right now like a r oh maybe oh maybe he damage reduction the first attack okay I'm ready who was the wind I'll take this way I want to pre-cast do I want to just bless cuz she's not going to do any concentration [ __ ] I mean if it's giving us a slight chance here right we did have the uh Shield of Faith one thing again playing Casta I really appre the fact that gives you a popup whenever you are going to do something that's going to break concentration come on I guess this guy's just going to walk forward in the next round s so I'll just set everyone just outside his vision and just let him walk forward next round and I'm totally willing to take this fight I'm a little confused by this no one stopped me yet but sure I don't even know if any of these concentration spells would be a good effect against this guy I don't have heat metal memorized I mean I guess I'm still out of combat I'm wondering if heat metal might be effective against these dudes um you know I'm not not going to bother holding on to ler restoration Fall by my hand now will you f start a fight okay well I'm going to inter turn this guy's going to walk forward the fight will start I'm not looking to chese this this isn't what I was looking to do wait did you stop you don't have permission to be here okay I guess this guy has a conversation the other guy doesn't because he's further in and maybe maybe that's what was ruining things that's so bizarre yeah the amount of time I P to myself then immediately cast a second concentration spell stunning myself is yeah more than once I exactly and I don't know why balers Gate 3 has so many amazing quality of life things I just it's just shocking that doesn't have a popup to confirm that you're about to do you you're replacing concentration spell with another concentration spell it seems like the most basic thing to implement there's probably like a million instances of players having done so so yeah I'm really confused staring is currently stealthed so we do want to open up with an actual attack for Advantage going back battle now we're going to apply the Hunter's Mark and then we still have some decent initiative so we're going to go ahead with more now did you have any vulnerabilities you do have vulnerability to lightning do we have lightning arrows is that a thing that a exists and B we've got roing Thunder is just Thunder we always knock back we got to start abusing the many targets at some point not sure that we have lightning arrows oh right there action surge best quality life is when you find a trap in Explorer mode the mod stops your pathing so you don't run that's the other thing you get especially like you know balers gate um 1 and two had the game like you had an option you could set it to automatically pause when you spotted a trap but yeah just stopping all movement when a trap is detected would be kind of appreciated don't stay idle I still don't know what Dell does against this guy oh right I got to remember the heat metal is something you reapply every turn okay now it's only 16% to land the disadvantage on it DC 17 is pretty good oh wait he's got Advantage oh he's got disadvantage here right because he can't drop his weapons or anything does heat metal not have some sort of like bonus for things that are completely encased in metal or made of metal in fifth edition huh it really does work differently than the classic version that I'm used to so that was just a bonus action now the problem is if I do go into bar form I'm not going to be able to keep doing this still it might be worthwhile because what else is Dell going to do with the standard actions [Music] any plans try out Lord of the Rings Return to morio and comes out in 24th no plans currently I suspect we might be a little too busy with another game yeah like I mean I guess we can just go to animal form doesn't have any resistance to acid or anything maybe we could just drop some of that [ __ ] on him although wait this is super short range yeah I'm not impressed with any of the actions we can take with d in this fight the better thing to do would probably been okay you know what we can still do that since uh heat metal actually isn't all that impressive maybe I should just go and haste carlac and then I can you know consider dropping into an animal form yeah I don't know many level three spells I don't want to burn too many spells actually in this fight either you know what never mind I'm just going to can trip I wonder how Ray of frost interacts with someone who's been heat metal um no now you still have heat metal all right I'm going to fall back a little bit here and your turn turn all right that is a hell of an impressive strike I got to tell you all right Shadow heart you're concentrating on blast you're just going to run up and do some smites on this I don't think I'm going to pre-cast Smite if we get a crit we'll use it but otherwise we're going to try to uh limit oh there we go speaking of crit yeah let's use a spell slot now since it's going to maximize all the damage and you're good with that you oh you're main so you can't move okay um oh yeah these guys are vulnerable to psychic attacks because there's actual stuff inside them that's right multi attack all right how long do we have before he detonates so presumably we're going to be able to get everyone out of here right or we just kill him before that happens I suppose that's the thing actually if anyone can do it Carla can I think I'm not going to haste here although if I want to be able to Wreckless who else is going to go Dell then aan you know we're totally going to kill this guy before he goes down oh carlac almost did it knees High oh wait they still good and I haven't been using it as much I mean I don't think we'll end up using it much because we're going to use most of our spell slots for freaking uh Smite but yeah I did not expect to get Kaboom there [Music] um yeah I don't think it matters which one we go up I think we're probably going to up six and six although I can't remember what certainly this level six Barbarian seems pretty good an extra rage mindless rage immune to Charmed and frenzied or frightened that seems pretty good so we'll take that yeah wish laack yeah that hat is excellent Let's uh we short rest not not every everyone is injured we could just drink a ton of our cheap ass potions I mean I guess we're not sitting on infinite amounts anymore but yeah it's probably fine and Blades always Shar one more I really having made the um the offering over here at the uh the temple and I overrode it by casting the bless spell these three people no longer have bless cuz the the bless spell overrode it and then everyone yeah we're going to go again and donate and see if it works once more so we don't need to do it on Dell oh that's annoying let's get on with it so they keep taking the offerings cuz it did you do oh wait before we end all our turns everyone else has got to jump in here need to tread something I wonder with their Vision cones is it possible that you'll be able to get it right up in their face and attack with Advantage I don't know if we'll have the reach no we're going to walk in which will probably break the stealth well there'll be a stealth check he you hit anyway so that's okay you're not concentrating but I don't really want to use any spell slots Al maybe this is a good spot for numb of the Dead so what does dum do movement speed haved spell Caster advantage and attack roles oh wow should have done that first still on my Fe it's still going to be there for a few turns though car some good news light is a I could just enter combat so that I could rage immediately since we're probably going to be breaking stealth here that actually seems like the thing to do I'm just going to go un stealth she'll get spotted that way she can frenzy cuz she's in combat yep reakless Stacks one down ah ah ah can't even catch my breath well you know what we may as well use some forms cuz I think we'll be fine without um having conversations until we run into some gnomes let's have some displacer Beast fun then um oh right I forgot I don't have any uh regular actions left I really wish I'd done the um the machine the gift machine with Dell so that all his elith actions were bonus actions well oh really I think the story was better with putting lasel in there and then have her overcome it I don't think oh us went down oh in the explosion or something okay could you like not hit me with every single attack I wonder how long the Illusions exist can I make a bunch of Illusions and carry them with me into the next fight cuz obviously this [Music] won't oh and the displac is a bonus action sure yeah but watch this not even sure it was worth raging in all this group up spear plus one light armor is worth a few bucks it's quite heavy but it might be worth sure fine all right yeah I was equally concerned about the dialogue options include run to a back room and hide shit's about to get violent right yeah now we've got some innocence in there I don't know if I don't think any of our spells with Dell really have a friend and fo targeting we do have three humanoids here this might be a great spot for us to open with a hold person alternatively plan Hast carlac and let her rip everyone to shreds to shreds you say okay two of these have uh wisdom Proficiency in their saves and a 15 so there'd be a little bit more likely to save against hold person so I think I'm going to go with plan haste carlac she doesn't have the initiative which is annoying oh okay it's only one friendly that's going to act before she does okay that that's fine then we're going to go with plan Dell walks away so that we don't lose concentration I got to throw the spider egg sack I should have done it this time but now I'm a little far away I think now no hide and we probably want to use our bonus action to reapply the Hunter's Mark we're going to Target you know what the the bossy one here going to Target this one I can get probably a height bonus as well I mean do I even need it yeah I do 84% let's go go 91% no need for special arrows I don't think although maybe we wanted the anti-healing one that's possible don't mind the crits at all and Dead's motivation sequence activated no the motivator deactivate it hurry okay I don't like that at all oh my God no I'm actually freaking out the device will make something explode if the holder drops it ready worth a shot intelligence check minus one good thing we've got some rerolls oh it's disarmed my heart's about to hammer right out no me too that actually that really freaked me out I mean 10 out of 10 game that was um that was a hell of a move wow so that did use Shadow heart's actual action so I mean I could still get up close enough with you know some sort of Misty step there's not really any reason for it I could bonus action Shield of Faith but Shadow heart doesn't have an AC of 22 which isn't bad and I might want to save the spell I don't know you know what I should Shield of faith and this time I so now I'm really upset that I blew her concentration on the shield of Faith by doing a bless um because the bless actually backfired on us all right all right AC 24 I hope Loa when did you go oh not until here you do have a decent amount of hit points though so hopefully the one die doesn't One-Shot you acid Arrow okay you did you know make some acid on the ground that might be slightly inconvenient for us but that's okay um let's go right here try to encourage this guy to Target the water Elemental instead of this gondan although I guess he could turn around and hit the other one TR gifted a gifts up to acid Arrow wait there's literally someone in chat called acid arrow and TR thank you very much did I [ __ ] miss oh did we get hit by the elemental has a giant hitbox of Doom and I clicked on it instead of carlac ah cuz it hitbox is ridiculously big well that's annoying you know maybe we maybe we we stopped some the element they are pretty good though yeah Hast definitely not
