The Department of Justice Celebrates LGBTQI+ #PrideMonth

(music) Text: What does it mean to you as a member of the LGBTQI+ community to work at the Department of Justice? Benjamin Shore: I am privileged to be part of an environment  that genuinely values diversity and inclusivity. David Heath: It means having a voice and  having a place at the table.   I think it means not being alone  wherever we may be working. Dillon Phillips: We have so many people that are  out and proud at work and just   the leadership of that and being able to  carry the mission even further forward. Ruth Hackford-Peer: Being here in this position I hope  shows young queer people from rural   places like my hometown that they  can do anything they dream of. Michael D. Gilliam: To know that every decision that I make  helps the citizens, helps the agency,   and helps the Department of Justice fulfill  its mission is very important to me. Ines Cenatiempo: No matter what your sexual orientation  or gender identity you still have the   same rights under the federal law and I'm really  proud to work for an office that supports that. Adam Stickler: I'm proud to have an impact on the justice system and equity for queer people across the country. David R. Cotton-Zinn: I am proud of the meaningful and  critical work we do as LGBT plus   agents and professional staff every single day. Ronald Steinhoff: Going to work every single day and working not  only to protect the rights of all Americans but   also those in the LGBTQI community. Something that  I care about in the community I belong to so it   means a lot to me to work to advance those civil  rights while protecting our nation's security.
