The Day Is Coming!

people of god get your house in order in such a time as this in such a season as this my dear brothers and sisters we are living in the 11th hour the knock of christ is on the door are you ready to answer are you ready to pick up the call at such a time as this there is one thing that we as believers are to do we are to pray pray for and pray with your family let me ask you this if you knew that everything you do everything you said every thought action and word would have to be accounted for would you act different would you think different you see the book of hebrews tells us that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses and that should make you think what would that cloud of witnesses say about me what would they say i did will they say that there was no doubt no doubt at all that god was the center of my life would they say that i lived a life intent on seeking god would they say that they heard me wake up every day with praises on my mouth that i never took life for granted and i was thankful for seeing a new day well they say that my prayer life was strong my heart was a willing heart i was humble i forgave others and never kept a grudge what would that cloud of witnesses say when i'm looking at eternity will they speak of me and say he was only ever on his knees on a sunday in a church with an audience we never saw him pray behind closed doors alone unless he wanted something we never saw him open god's word and meditate on it we never saw him lift his hands and say thank you when he received a blessing but we did see his eyes filled with greed and envy for worldly things we did see that his heart was filled with jealousy and pride we heard him putting other people down we saw him walk with the wicked and judge other sinners what would that cloud of witnesses say about you about your walk with christ your prayer life your belief we need to have the presence of mind and know that what we do matters our daily decisions matter so i pray that you live a guarded life i pray that you guard your mind against negative seeds of thought i pray that you guard your heart against envy jealousy and greed i pray that you guard your eyes against the spirit of lust i pray that the holy spirit will give you the strength to fight the good fight and above all i pray that god's grace is upon your life chase god and chase him every day i would like to give you some hope today some encouragement at the same time i would urge you to examine your heart as you are listening who's seated on the throne of your heart who or what do you place above everything else with that in mind the one thing that we can never deny about the bible is that this book is as relevant today as it was hundreds of years ago now there's a passage of scripture found in ii timothy 3 that almost paints an exact picture of the current state of the world today and in this passage paul is warning timothy what the last day would be like he goes into detail describing the state of the unbeliever and he really paints the image of how bad those who are living in a carnal state would be when it comes to morality holiness and righteousness now i believe that paul does this so that we as children of god would be on guard so that we would check ourselves and make sure that we're not caught up in the same state of living as the unbeliever there was a man who lived on the south side of chicago he was an attorney and by all accounts could be described as a good man he was a husband a father and an active member of his local church never missed a sunday with a high paying job he also happened to be one of the biggest tithers and every so often he would help to feed the homeless and like i said he could be described as a good man by all accounts but tragedy struck one day on his way home from work he was involved in a car accident and like a flash he found himself stood before the great white throne an angel proceeded to open the book of life and search for this man's name the pages turned and they kept turning all the while this man was expected just waiting for his name to be called but the pages kept turning and turning but his name was never found not a lord said depart from me you worker of iniquity for i know you not and frantically the man started pleading wait wait wait there must be a mistake i've always given my tithe i've always gone to church i served on the board i did good i gave to the homeless i fed them never once did i commit adultery and i raise my kids in church that must be a mistake and then the angel started to speak you were neither hot nor cold but you were lukewarm you were committed on sundays and in times of crisis but your prayer life didn't exist during the week you knew the word of god but you never applied it to your own life you never truly lived by it you knew of god but you never developed a personal relationship with god you had the chance to tell many about jesus and yet you denied him in public your job and career was an idol because you placed it above everything else [Music] be careful that you are not found to be lukewarm god says i know your deeds that you are neither hot or cold and because you are lukewarm i will spit you out you see god isn't playing when it comes to our belief so check yourself is god first in your life have you made room for god or do you only call him on sunday are you praying while things are still good or do you only pray when you need something check your heart because if you really believe if you truly believe that jesus is the way the truth and the life then like the book of matthew says if any man wants to follow god he must deny himself and take up his cross if you really believe then you need to turn to god daily not only in hard times if you really believe then you would live a life where you know you're not perfect but when you're weak when you are tempted your strength is found in god if you really believe that jesus is the son of the living god then give him the throne to your heart walk by faith not by sight do not be an unbelieving believer be all the way all in for christ in order to get god's attention you better learn how to open your mouth one of the dilemmas or the troubles we face in society today and even in church today is that we want to pray to god conservatively but sometimes there are certain moments in your life where you can't be cute with your prayers there are times where you can't be polished or elegant with your prayers my dear brothers and sisters [Music] there are times in life where you just have to open your mouth and just cry out to god and believe me if it becomes painful enough if the drama begins to take its toll on you if the situation starts to get bad enough you will cry out there won't be any need for anyone else to talk you into prayer no need for someone else to persuade you to pray no need to be convinced to pray and i have learned that when it gets bad enough when that barrier is too great for you when the waters become troubled you will cry out to the lord you will open your mouth to god ask the disciples when they were on the sea of galilee and a storm started raging ask daniel in the lion's den ask paul and silas what they did when they were imprisoned in chains ask blind bartimaeus what he did to get that healing he cried out and you need to learn how to cry out to god too jesus i need you father i need a helping hand and so many of us look to all kinds of things for help first before we go to jesus we look to help from all kinds of people first we go to science first instead of the creator of all things we go to doctors first instead of the ultimate physician who was jesus christ we go to counselors and therapists first when all wisdom belongs to god but men can't help you people can't help you no other worldly gods can help you need to cry out to jesus you need to look to jesus don't be the type of christian who wants jesus just so they won't go to hell don't say jesus but not accept him as master and ruler of your heart don't say jesus but refuse to yield to his will some of us haven't fully gotten to the place where jesus is really first in our lives some of us really let our emotions call the shots so what is it that's holding you back from truly living for god what's that private sin who's that person what's that addiction or bad habit what's that situation you deemed too complicated i just want you to know that when you feel like you're the outcast when you are rejected when you're on the fringes of society or the outskirts of the city when like the lepers you have a sickness that no human can heal you better learn how to open your mouth and cry out to god you know one of the things i love about the lorne is that he loves to go to the places where he can find those who have been rejected those who've been hurt and abandoned he loves to go to places that nobody puts high on the map in fact he's a god who makes it his business to go and find himself in situations where those who have been forgotten denied shunned away and pushed to the side and have you ever noticed that we all have a tendency to attract people who are in the same boat as us people with the same kind of drama you're facing the same kind of problems you're going through in your life and i wonder how many people are listening right now who because of whatever drama they face in their lives don't feel connected they don't feel plugged in and find themselves standing afar off people who are smiling on the outside but crying on the inside people who are going to church but aren't really plugged in and you may be one of those people today you may have found yourself emotionally void you may be there feeling rejected and afar off but i have news for you today god loves to connect with the people who others consider to be outcasts fix your eyes on him the king of kings and the lord of lords your cry should only be to him he's the one that can transform your life and it doesn't matter where you are or what you're situated in if you cry out to god in the midst of your deliver he will bring deliverance if you cry out to god right in the middle of your situation he will bring freedom don't be the type of christian who just wants jesus to save them from a problem and after that he becomes secondary we let our anger call the shots we let our bodies control us we let our friends in high places call the shots but we need to get to a place where the word of god calls the shots for our lives we need to be crying out to god we need to be crying out for his hand to touch our lives we need to be crying out for his love grace and tender mercy and the thing about mercy is you need to thank god for mercy the bible says the steadfast love of the lord never ceases his mercies never come to an end they are new every morning meaning that these aren't recycled mercies these are brand new mercies every day some of us think that god needs to do something spectacular for you to praise him but just the fact that he allowed me to wake up this morning with life running through my veins that's mercy he's a god who will see you no matter where you are [Music] we must recognize him as master how many people are missing out on the goodness of god because they refuse to give him total control over their lives what's that addiction that you've hidden away and left the door locked and closed what's that issue that you think you can never get victory over what is that thing in your life that you haven't opened the door to and allow the lord jesus to come in and be in charge of mercy is god giving you the grace the forgiveness the second third fourth fifth chance that you don't deserve whether you know it or not mercy is what's keeping you breathing right now mercy woke you up this morning whether you know it or not god's mercy was with you while you were driving on the highway all of the accidents with everything that could have happened but mercy was with you in the form of protection whether you know it or not it was mercy that kept you from having a nervous breakdown it kept you from losing your mind it was the mercy of god he's a good god who gives us what we don't deserve i don't deserve eternal life but he offers it to me i don't deserve unconditional love but he offers it to me i don't deserve his amazing grace but he gives it to me but like the woman with the issue of blood when you have an issue that no human resolve when you're in a situation where nobody can help you i want you to know that if you cry unto god he will hear you he will see you he loves those who feel unloved he wants those who feel lonely and rejected if you cry out to him he will see you it doesn't matter how much drama you have in your life he will see you i don't care how habitual your habits are i don't care how addictive they are if you cry out to god he'll answer you regardless of what statistics say regardless of what your diagnosis may be regardless of opinions cry out to god and he will see you i thank god that he is a god who can see you even in the darkness of the mess you try and hide from everybody else he's a god who will see you even when you're in the worst state of your life god's mercy is bigger than any mistake you ever made that's why the bible tells us to draw near with confidence to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need don't lose yourself in guilt or feelings of being ashamed cry out to god cry out to the lord he said it in his word call unto me and i will show you great and mighty things he is faithful and loving to hear you and answer you darkness the ninth plague that god sent to egypt was darkness exodus 10 21 says then the lord said to moses stretch out your hand toward heaven that there may be darkness over the land of egypt darkness which may even be felt it was a thick darkness enough to cause any man to feel intense alarm and horror that was an act of god then in ephesians 5 11 we are told to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather expose them in other words don't get involved in the works of darkness or in those impure mysteries but darkness is also symbolic of a spiritual condition an absence of god a state of privacy or secrecy with sin the worst thing about spiritual darkness is that the enemy can use it to blind you of god's goodness that's how you get some people who are healthy who have a roof over their head food on their table but they can't say a single good thing about the lord that spiritual darkness being unable to see the works of god his blessings and mercies even when they're right in front of us and at a time where the forces of evil are up against the forces of good light against darkness truth against lie life's dark times can pull us in all directions and produce all sorts of feelings we must cling to god during those bleak experiences [Music] one of the greatest biblical truths to be revealed is that in addition to the physical realm that we see in addition to what the naked eye can see and touch there also exists an unseen world an invisible world an invisible spirit realm that the bible refers to as the heavenlies this world can't be seen by the naked eye but it's inhabited by good and bad spirit beings we call these beings angels and demons and both these sets of beings affect our world every single day we interact with them more than we think there's a reason the bible says we don't wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities against powers against the rulers of the darkness against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places now as you listen be aware of the tricks of the enemy the devil wants you to either believe he doesn't exist or to be afraid of him but what's important is that god wants you to know that whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven in other words whatever you permit or forbid on earth is also permitted or forbidden in heaven so we need to walk in the spirit we need to meditate on the things of god daily so that we strengthen our spirit man we have spiritual eyes and ears that need to be sensitive and accustomed to the supernatural and understand me when i say this it's so important to understand these things about the spirit because without an understanding of them you cannot walk in the dominion that god is destined for you without an understanding of the spiritual realm you cannot walk in the authority that god wants you to the key thing to understand is this nothing is hidden in the spirit realm there are things that are deep and others that are on the surface level when you want to get something that is deep you have to dig deep to find out there are some deep secrets about life and the bible tells us that it is god that knows the things that are in secret and he can also reveal them the word of god goes on to say that god knows the things that are in the dark and that everything will be brought to light but one fact about darkness is that the person in it can see another person who is in the light think about that if someone who is in the kingdom of darkness saw you would they see the light of the lord in your life would they see the glory of the lord present and how you walk how you talk how you act is the anointing of god visible in your life i want you to understand that as children of god we do not look at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen for the things which are seen are temporary but the things which are not seen are eternal according to second corinthians 4 18 but instead of being afraid instead of being timid and intimidated by spiritual warfare i encourage you to realize that you are a soldier in the army of god i encourage you that this is not the time to stand down it's time to stand up stand up for jesus stand up and lift high his royal banner you are an ambassador of the most high stand up to the lies of the enemy stand up with the truth of the gospel stand up with the strength of the holy spirit stand up in god's strength stand up and pray stand up against principalities and powers against the evil forces of hell stand up in the knowledge that you are more than a conqueror understand that your identity comes from god so embrace your identity as a child of god it's time to stand and stand tall stand strong in this hour and fight for that breakthrough fight for that stronghold to break fight to live holy but in order to stand and fight the enemy you must have a firm foundation in order to have a firm foundation you must know the word of god for yourself and know what it says about you when you take a stand for jesus it means you must go to the foot of the cross if you go there often you will not be the same again so your fight man of god woman of god should begin on your knees [Music] there are some battles that you face in life that may appear to be unexplainable there are some circumstances that may appear not to make sense and we need to remember that the bible makes it clear that we ought to fix our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen it tells us further to walk by faith not by sight you see as believers in the kingdom of god when we face some battles that may appear to be unexplainable when it's just attack after attack if you can relate to the experience of one thing after another that appears to not make any sense then i would like to invite you to stand in agreement with me as we pray our best form of defense when it comes to spiritual warfare is not to run and hide it's not to sit and wait it out but rather our best form of defense against the enemy when it comes to spiritual warfare is to go to our prayer closet and attack with prayer fight back with prayer your best fighting stance is on your knees so lift up your faith as we pray believe god in agreement with me that victory belongs to jesus [Music] so let us pray dear heavenly father your word says you are the alpha and the omega and almighty god i ask for divine intervention today i ask for supernatural power lord help us stand strong against the forces of darkness i pray in agreement with everyone listening [Music] and i declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper i come against any evil forces that may try to attack my life in the name of jesus christ my savior i come against any principalities of evil that try to challenge the peace of god over my life and in my mind i declare that i have victory through the power of the blood of jesus [Music] holy spirit i ask that you help me not to become discouraged during this time help me not to give in to the enemy stand with me holy spirit and let the joy of the lord be my strength lord jesus through the power of your precious name and blood i agree with your word in isaiah 41 that says do not fear for i am with you do not be dismayed for i am your god i will strengthen you and help you i will uphold you with my righteous right hand fight this battle with me jesus i thank you father god for clothing me in a robe of righteousness which covers me head to toe because of the blood of jesus christ which was shared for me and i know that is in you that i live it's in you that i move and have my existence i surrender my life my children and my loved ones into your caring hands you are a god full of compassion i pray for your hand of protection upon me and my family encompass us lord god almighty with your wall of fire surround me and my family with your hedge of protection your blood is living and it's powerful lord you are a shield and a defense your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path do not let me stumble o lord overthrow the plans and the plots of my enemies and help me to overcome in the name of jesus fight my battles lord as you have promised in your word you said in exodus 14 14 that the lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace i pray that you defend me and my family and let us hold our peace i pray that we're going to stand still to see the hand of god move in our lives in the name of jesus christ that we will stand and testify and say had it not been for the lord we would have been consumed you are a god who moves mountains and regardless of the things happening around us regardless of the things going on in this world you are our protector our keeper our redeemer regardless of what may come you are still on your throne and you are still a good god who will never leave us nor forsake us you are a god who brings peace in troubled times now lord for my life take all the glory for my family my children take all the glory for my health take all the glory lord for my protection take all the glory for all that i am take all the glory in jesus name at one point or another we will all come against something or someone enemies giants strongholds you name it sooner or later you will face opposition something that comes against you and the important thing is how will you react how will you react when you find yourself facing what seems to be a giant inconvenience an enemy that seems to be too big for you to match up to how will you react when you face giant opposition because you see opposition enemies challenges they all come in many forms they can come in the form of people even family members they can come in the form of an attack on your health the supervisor at your job that dream business that you just can't seem to start opposition and enemies come in many forms but they also come to reveal many things like what's inside you or how god really does fight for you and how he stands beside you when we have people when we have things go against us when we have people making negative comments trying to discredit us to belittle us when the giants of frustration try and fight us how will you react and i like what one preacher said if you're constantly trying to defend yourself you'll get distracted fighting battles that you were never supposed to fight and that is true it's so easy to get drawn into conflict with all these different battles it's so easy to go around and respond to negative people did you hear what they said about me did you see how they were looking at me did you see what they said on social media about me you will get distracted from your calling from your purpose from your dreams if you're constantly trying to defend yourself do you know how much emotional and even physical energy it takes just to try and pay someone back just to try and prove a point or to prove them wrong when you do that you are spending so much emotional energy physical energy energy that you need to be using in prayer energy that you need to build a future energy that you could be using to do things in the kingdom of god so what if the opposition i face is not a person what if it's my circumstances or my health what if it's something that's left me feeling outmatched or overwhelmed what do i do then paul said in second corinthians we are hard pressed on every side but not crushed perplexed but not in despair persecuted but not abandoned struck down but not destroyed and i want you to really grab this hard rest on every side meaning no matter where i go or what i do there's pressure there's opposition something is constricting you trying to immobilize you and stop you but despite the pressure regardless of the opposition you are not crushed we are not crushed as children of god and paul continued perplexed but not in despair meaning life has me puzzled and confused it's got me asking questions like what should i do now why me but here's the thing perplexed i may be but i still have hope i still have faith that it'll work out for my good persecuted but not abandoned people may be looking at you sideways people may be walking away from you people may be thinking you're doing the most you're doing too much when it comes to things of god but only you know how far you've come with god only you understand why you praise the way that you do and finally paul says struck down but not destroyed sometimes life hurts but there's always healing in christ i may have been knocked down but i can still move i may have been knocked down but i am not defeated friends jesus offers hope in the midst of our pain the lord is never too busy for you but how can he help you unless you go to him whether it's a physical enemy or an unseen enemy here's what i'd like to tell you god is your defender god is your shield and fortress some battles are meant to help you realize that if you keep fighting battles on your own you will start thinking you can resolve things your own way but some battles are so big that you have to say god defend me please fight for me we need to learn to leave our fights in the hands of god because when you leave it in god's hands he creates a table in the presence of your enemies when you stop worrying about what they think when you stop listening to what they're saying about you that's when god makes your enemies your footstool when you stop getting worked up thinking about how you can show them how you can pay them back when you stop doing that that's when god will show himself to be your defender i am saying stop defending yourself with matters that can take up your emotional energy jesus said in the bible but i say to you who here love your enemies do good to those who hate you bless those who curse you pray for those who abuse you to one who strikes you on the cheek offer the other one also he is telling us to stop defending ourselves the battle is the lord's it's not ours as long as you're defending yourself then how will god defend you adversity exposes your attitude towards god sometimes you need to come up against opposition just to find out if the word of god really lives in your life or if your belief is easily shaken by the slightest bit of wind there's a saying that goes life is like a wheelbarrow you get nowhere until you start pushing so press on keep pushing endure keep running the race get up and get off your back get on your feet and press on you have the victory through the lord you are triumphant with the blood of jesus you are destined to stand in the winter circle quit feeling sorry for yourself and live like god intended for you to live as a man thinks so is he stop saying i can't and start saying i can do all things through christ who strengthens me stop saying if all the time start speaking and saying i will by the grace of god if you feel like you're under pressure if you feel like you're under fire know that god can and will order your steps in such a way that he will bring things into your life that will bless you protect you and guide you through that storm which may intimidate you so start believing that whatever it is that's been holding you back is about to break that wall which has blocked you is about to break that closed door of opportunity is about to open that very thing you've been seeking in prayer concerning your family is about to become a reality have faith in god press on so take a step back and try handling things god's way god's way says i am turning this over to you lord i will not spend my life worried about someone's opinion of me i will not waste my energy trying to change another person's mind i will not get upset or frustrated because they don't like me the sort of mentality and approach that we need to have is saying god i know you're my defender i know you're fighting my battles that's when god almighty the creator of the universe will go to work that's when the god who said i am that i am will become all that you need him to be [Music] when your enemies try to push you down god will lift you up when your enemies try and discredit you and discourage you when they try to make you look bad god will turn things around he will change it and make you look good when they plot against you that's when god will cause things to work out for your good so i am speaking to someone today telling you that there is a giant with your name on it and it will fall when you let god fight that battle for you god said he will fight your battles and you should hold your peace he will take care of every opposition it's not every battle that you should be involved in and remember that some opposition is just a distraction so don't get distracted learn to let god fight your battles [Music] welcome to the blessed life now let me tell you what the blessed life is the blessed life is the kind of life spoken of in ephesians a life that knows a god who is able to do exceedingly above all the things that we ask or think according to the power working in us the blessed life is filled with gratitude because you can say surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life the blessed life is one that walks by faith and not by sight so not having all of the answers not knowing what tomorrow holds but standing in the faith that god is on my side the blessed life accepts that god created me in his own image i am the perfect height i am the right size i have the exact features i need in fact ephesians 2 10 tells me that i am god's work of art i am his masterpiece the blessed life means i live with the hope regardless of what may come my way my hope is on christ the solid rock i stand that will not be moved the blessed life means i live with expectation the expectation that my god will make a way where there seems to be no way the blessed life means that my reality is that i am the head and not the tail i am above and not beneath i am victorious i am not defeated my reality according to 1st peter 2 is that i am a chosen generation and a royal priesthood you have to understand that the blessed life is one where you are persuaded persuaded that neither life nor death nor angels no principalities nor any powers nor things present nor things that come nor height nor depth nor any other thing created can even dare to separate me from the love of god you see someone who's living a blessed life looks back to appreciate that it was because of the struggle that i learned there's a friend in jesus who sticks closer than a brother they look back and say it was because of the storm that i grew in character you see sometimes sometimes we need a storm we need a struggle we need some type of adversity to realize that we are blessed and oftentimes it's only once you're on the other side of the storm that you see the goodness of god it's only once you have been through the valley of the shadow of death that you realize nothing can stop you as a child of god if you pay attention to psalms 23 verse 4 it says even though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i will fear no evil for you are with me your rod and your staff they comfort me you wouldn't know that god is with you unless you walk through that valley you wouldn't know that god's rod and staff will comfort you you wouldn't know that you would fear no evil because god was close enough to you during the time you were walking in that dark valley you wouldn't know all of these things unless you went through some type of hardship some type of struggle it's only after you've been through that you realize i am blessed it was hard but i found comfort in jesus god was with me every step of the way now remember god also keeps certain things away from you too living a blessed life means you're always praising god regardless and he doesn't have to deliver you from something for you to know that you are blessed you may have never been involved in a dangerous car accident but thank god for keeping you from any accidents you may have never been healed but thank god for keeping disease away from your body you may have never been addicted to drugs but thank god who has kept drugs away from you that's the blessed life when you recognize that sometimes god doesn't need to put you through something and bring you out of it for you to be blessed but count the things that he has kept you from that's a blessing you don't make the right decisions all the time god favors you you don't wake up through your own strength every day god gives you life you couldn't protect yourself well enough in this world but god is your protection you're living a blessed life you know i often think about moses standing in front of a burning bush and i imagine hearing god's voice a thunderous voice that can only be described as the sound of many waters and that voice declares boldly i am who i am i believe those words are still as relevant today as they were when god spoke to moses you see i believe that when god said i am who i am he was saying regardless of the situation you're going through regardless of the need regardless of the desire i am that which you need meaning that everything i can ever need can be found in god everything that you need can be found in god in fact what god means when he says i am is i am your healing i am your peace i am your protection i am your help in the time of trouble i am all the comfort that you need i am your waymaker when there seems to be no way i'm your provision i am jehovah jiren your provider i am the solution i'm the way where there seems to be no way i am your salvation i'm your confidence when we call upon the lord our god he works in mighty mysterious and perfect ways whatever you need can be found in god but everything really hangs on what you believe god is well able to deliver you well able to perform a miracle but you have to make the choice to believe in him to believe that god is all those things for you and that's what makes you unstoppable as a child of god that's what makes you fearless samuel describes him as my rock my fortress and my deliverer in whom i take refuge my shield and the horn of my salvation my stronghold and my refuge my savior you save me from violence whether you need deliverance from sin affliction lies or sickness god has the power and desire to deliver you he is both mighty and loving he is both mysterious and real and he sees your need and longs to meet you exactly where you are what's the name of the enemy that comes against you today fear depression what stress circumstances sickness or sin is before you well i want you to know that the lord says to you he loves you unconditionally he cares for you he will deliver you he will protect you and rescue you hold fast at the hand of your heavenly father don't just put your head down you are not defeated but instead call on your great deliverer place your hand in his and allow him to
