can you hear me am i on good afternoon what a joy wow we're getting filled up again getting filled up again well it's resurrection weekend tomorrow is resurrection sunday jesus is alive jesus is alive over this weekend many many christians all over the world will be gathering to to celebrate this glorious wondrous fact that jesus caught good death amen a little over more than 2 000 years ago over this very weekend when when when he rose from the dead he killed death how how's that this is the day that dad died and and and right now we know that the resurrected christ is in our midst the living christ is in our midst and jesus resurrection changed everything change everything and today we want to rediscover what he accomplished through this resurrection i i want to pray for us let us pray let us pray heavenly father we just thank you so much thank you so much for your son thank you so much for your gift of life thank you thank you and today as we gather to celebrate your resurrection lord we ask that you you you leverage upon us your presence come and bless our time together bless the sharing of the word bless the hearing of the truth lord come and cause us lord to be filled with revelation knowledge of what it means for jesus to have died and resurrected on our behalf that we may live life lord in the likeness of the resurrection thank you god and that many people because of the living cries through our life may they come to see you may they come to know you may many people come to fall in love with you because of the living christ expressing himself in and through allah through us and through our lives thank you god we thank you right now for blessing our time together so richly according to the abundance of your grace in jesus name we agree and pray and everybody shout amen amen amen well jesus resurrection change everything everything oh i wanna say hello to those online hello welcome to petra's service jesus resurrection changed everything you know he changed he changed the cross from a tragedy into into a triumph it changed when he resurrected he changed the roman empire the whole roman empire became a christian state his his resurrection changed everything it is the most powerful event in the history of creation as it ushered in a new era a new era in which the holy spirit's activity of of saving lives of saving souls and changing lives could commence on a global scale his resurrect his resurrection made that possible made that possible and every every year over this weekend we celebrate that we celebrate that because the resurrection of jesus is the crux of the christian faith do you know that do you know that when considering if christianity is even true it all boils down to whether jesus rose from the dead it all boils down to this one thing because this is what is the uniqueness of christianity among all faiths of the world the lives of christians the countless by the millions and millions of christians today demonstrate that the resurrection is is true and is still changing lives today those who agree say amen amen it changes fear to love it changes despair to joy the resurrection changes people from spiritually dead to to to a to a life that is a life under god a life under god and that's the kind of transformation that the resurrection brings it changes guilt and condemnation into the celebration of forgiveness and freedom it changes anxiety to a hope that goes beyond the grave that lasts for all eternity your reaction to the resurrection of jesus christ not only changes you for the now in prison it affects your your eternal state of being forever and ever and that's why today you must respond to the resurrection of jesus christ whether you've been a christian already and even for a long time or you've never embraced the christian faith you cannot not make a decision in your response to what you hear about the resurrection of jesus because no matter how you respond it is still a response it's still a response isn't it true i don't do anything about it it doesn't change the fact that it still has its impact upon you for all eternity for all eternity and that's what the jesus the the power is of the resurrection of jesus christ it changes human hearts sinful hearts into one that would want to follow jesus and the power of his resurrection is still up to today relentlessly destroying the power of sin in the life of a true believer and today we want to re-examine it because the same power that raised jesus christ from the dead is now still active and living in everyone everyone who is a believer of christ and therefore a child of god and the same power actually enables us to live in the likeness of the resurrected christ do you know that i want to remind us this that god not only wants you to believe in jesus resurrection he wants you to draw upon the same power that resurrected him from the dead he wants you to draw from the same power to live in the resurrection life not just the life that jesus lived for 33 years on earth that's already a perfect life but even the life after his resurrection that resurrection life do you know the same life is in you for all of you who have ever placed your faith in jesus christ you say i believe in you i heard about this good news i heard about what what you did on the cross on my behalf and i believe for all of you who have done that do you know the same power of resurrection is inside of you it's inside of you as glorious as the resurrection of jesus christ is there is something sad about it though there's a fact that it said they said about it the fact that there are many many christians today who are still struggling who are still living nowhere near to the fullness of what god has given unto man through the redemptive work of jesus christ his sacrifice his torment his torture his death his barrier his resurrection and through that god gave off his everything back and restored everything back to the human being to what adam and eve lost in the garden of eden everything was restored back to the redemptive of christ now i'll come to the sad fact though the sad fact is there are many many christians until today they're still not living anywhere near the fullness of what jesus have already restored back to humankind that is a sad fact and you know why is that so why why are there still so many christians who are not living life in the likeness of his resurrection the bible tells us we should be living in now that's the sad thing i want to share with you is that the church on the whole have not preached or communicated enough on the glorious truth about the resurrection of jesus and i can testify to that because over the many years in the ministry wow i must be old by now because i have been preaching in the gospel for 30 years now 32 years you know yeah i have observed something which i i know many of you would agree i've observed that of that actually pastors and preachers often time most of the time have talked and taught more about the cross and the sacrifice the crucifixion of christ than the resurrection of christ and its implication on human lives it is my observation over the years because there's something so dramatic and so stark about his sacrifice the the darkness the torment and all that there's a lot a lot of attention on that even on the good friday they just passed by yesterday you know churches will go through they may even re-enact the the dark knight you know of jesus uh trials illegal trials actually and then they led on to his crucifixion and all and some some denominations even re-enact the crucifixion and all there's so much attention on on the on that on the crucifixion process and all and so much as we talked about it but actually a lot less have ever been told or communicated about his resurrection so while while we examine the cross and his sacrifice and it makes us all grateful for what jesus bore upon himself in the process of him redeeming mankind we have not come into the same fullness of understanding and appreciation of his resurrection i i totally believe that is why many many christians today don't live anywhere near the fullness of what a resurrection or resurrected life should look like and today i want to attempt in this very short time to help us recall what it means what are the implications of jesus resurrection and what it has in its implication upon our lives for us who believe i want to turn you to the book of romans chapter 10 verse 9. it says here if you confess with your mouth i'm looking at the time here okay if you confess with your mouth jesus is lord that's confessing with your mouth huh i want you to read like you're reading this for the first time and believe in your heart that really together god raised him from the dead you will be saved did you know that was what you believed and that brought about the greatest miracle in the human life the miracle of being born again of the spirit of god coming into you and coming into union with your human spirit and become one with you do you know it's because of your faith that jesus resurrected what was so what's so great about his resurrection what's so pivotal about his resurrection that our belief in it was what brought about our salvation what's the implication of his resurrection a key implication of the resurrection of jesus christ is his lordship as well as his divinity that he's god he's no ordinary human being because he's the one who has power over the greatest the gravest problem of mankind which is death he has even power over there he say i can lay down my life and i can take up my life he has absolute power over death he's god and that's why his divinity and his lord his lord over life and that which is a lie his lord over that which is dead and so his resurrection proves his divinity and his lordship and the bible says that we are saved by our faith in him and his resurrection so today i want you to really appreciate your faith in his resurrection if there is no resurrection none of us today will be reconciled with god even with all the torment all the awesome prize he paid to be torn apart to be mocked to be shredded by the the way they whip him you know with the cat of nine nighttails that tore him and lacerated him beyond human recognition as awesome as that prize was that he paid for us if he did not resurrect from the dead it would all still come to kneel of its impact upon us for with regards to us eternal salvation and that's why the resurrection is a kingpin of the christian faith and you would notice if you read the bible the apostles of all whenever they preach they would repeatedly and constantly testify of the resurrection of jesus christ and its implication they preach a whole lot more about the resurrection than preachers today they do they do the way they give to the resurrection and because that jesus lived this man lived and he was crucified 2 000 years ago and that's not unusual during the roman empire thousands of criminals were crucified that way it was not unusual or even just recalling that oh that jesus was a great teacher oh he worked mighty miracles he even founded the religion you know that does not make him unique and that was not what made him unique and what's unique it is a claim of an empty tomb an empty tomb that marks jesus as totally different from every other historical figure how many of you have gone with me to israel just wait behind israel and we went to the tomb i like to say at the tomb that it's the only place on planet earth right the thousands and thousands of people come to look at nothing and they go away happy it's the only place on earth that people will pay thousands of dollars make their journey and someday safer for their life you know in their lifetime to save up for that because it's very expensive to go to israel right and then go there and look at that nothing in the tomb and go away all happy what what did i this money was it you know why because it's the significance of the emptiness the only man that have absolute power over life and as well as over death so that day when he rose of the tone was the day that dad died he killed death and the significance of it we need to know and we need to rediscover if we do not know and we know from biblical record when it is corroborated by multiple historical record that jesus really lived it's not a fairy tale it's not someone's figment of imagination he lived among us among mankind there was a definite place that he lived growing up in the in israel he was he lived a beautiful life a perfect life bible says and many testified too he lived and died and he died in a gruesome way through the crucifixion and he rose from the grave three days later he rose from the dead it was such a stunning fact that is irrefutable because in his resurrected form after his resurrection and in his resurrected form he continued to interact with countless number of people for the next 40 days 40 days so many with the people who have interacted with him who have talked with him who have seen him and who have even touched him right and so the and and the bible recorded many of these encounters and it also show up in secular historical record like like uh josephus the historian describing the the the because he lived during the jesus during jesus times and the masses of people that interacted with him on one location more than 500 people and at the point of his ascension his disciples were all with him when they witnessed him rising do they would call it levitating before their very eyes you can imagine how stunned they were and even as he was rising he was giving his last instruction tell this good news to the rest of the world take this out to the rest of the world and so they did take it out to the rest of the world so stunning was his death and resurrection and witness by so many people and many of whom did tell it all over the world that history tells us that within a short few years after the resurrection of christ actually this news this stunning news of this what he has done and his resurrection actually have gone to almost all the world the known world then within a few years despite the fact that they did not have twitter youtube facebook you know whatsapp all this to be able to tell their friends and relatives you know it's gone all around the world within a short few years because it was that stunning an event so stunning it was that it mucked as a milestone of human history and our sense of time and chronology today your very calendar is calculated based on the advent of christ when christ came wow it's been two thousand over years now it marked us as one event ever since for men to understand what what is the course of history where are we right now it's been now this amount of time since jesus christ in our midst and so you cannot refute about that he changed history in fact he determined history and today every up to today you know many continue to encounter this living christ he met so many people he he he made them in among his own disciples he made them by the assembly of hundreds even he met them in formal gathering over over a meal in someone's home in a secluded countryside at work in the middle of the city in the day you go read of the account again of the resurrected christ you understand why today is an irrefutable fact of his resurrection and so many were his witnesses that it's an indelible mark right now not just a milestone in the history of of mankind and and so what are the implication then as i said just now it has implication on human being on you even in our midst or maybe online whether you oh you believe christ or not what is your impression of him or he's a good man oh he's crazy whatever is your impression of him oh i've got nothing to do with him he's not on my religion whatever it doesn't change the fact at all that what he did and what he said has a profound impact that determines your eternity your state of being not just on earth but for all eternity i think it pays for you to give ear that's the impact i once heard a uh a preacher an american preacher he shared this i thought it was kind of cute how he got born again you know he was a kid and and it was over a weekend like that like you know good friday to to uh resurrection sunday and his father was tucking him to bed and he said daddy why is good friday good no why is it he said why is good friday called good you know we call it good friday right and and and the father said well because jesus died for us you know and the kid says why is he called good when when someone died the kid intuitively know that it's not good death is not good right and then the father said what well but because he came back to life he came back to life on the sunday after you know and then the kid said then why is it not called bad friday and good sunday hey it's profound you know this statement i tell you what is profound about this statement as young as his child was he somehow instinctively knew that the cross could not be good news without the resurrection you cannot call something good if regarding this death and actually a very gruesome death on the cross he instinctively know so you want to call it good there must be a reason and and so that's profound that's profound actually that means we you cannot have a good sunday after that without a very bad friday you don't have a resurrection if there hadn't been first a death it's profound and i want you to consider that and the father explained to this young child who would later become a preacher actually he said son you see the sin of mankind of human beings led to the divine punishment of death bible says right then that the wages of sin is death there's no way out a holy god must judge sin and the price is death but there's a bug to this but god loves man and he doesn't want man to perish and be eternally separated from him and so he had a solution to that he sent his son he sent his son to the earth and his name is jesus christ and he lived he put on he stripped off his divinity he put on flesh he put on humanity born of a virgin and he grew up perfect without committing a single sin a perfect life that is called righteous in the bible that means a life of perfect standing of right standing with god he grew up he lived a perfect life for all of us who were so imperfect we can't leave it and so because of that he then does not deserve to die to pay the price of sin because in him was no sin the bible tells us and yet in the state of perfection and sinlessness at the age of 33 he gave of himself to say i will pay for the prize of all who have sinned against god and that is really all every human being past present and future in every generation who has ever lived who have because all have been born with a sin nature and we don't need education to teach us how to sin in fact education teach us how to sin more often times education from the world right and and jesus christ offered of his perfect life to say i'll pay the price i'll pay the price for all who have sinned against god because only he who is perfectly righteous is able to pay the price the price of giving up of the life on the behalf of all who are unrighteous you know what i mean it's like it's like someone who who if ken owes a heavy debt and that's the last one to owe a heavy debt in our mains actually right it was a heavy heavy debt and all the loan shark is coming after him and i want to step in i want to step in and save him maybe i should use the example the other way around okay never mind just imagine with me with the holy imaginative power all right i want to i want to shield him from the harassment of all these chin chairs you know painting and all that outside his house all right let's see and i have the means only if i have the means i can be yaya about it right like don't you touch my friend i will settle this for him that is if i have money right how much how much he owe you you know after hearing okay too bad no no no no i mean it's only if i have the means of giving what he could not give that i can save him right but if i have nothing i'll stay out of this i'll pray for you brother i'll stay out of this jesus had the means he had what it takes for sinners to be reconciled with god he had the perfect life the bible said a life for her life and since minimum price is still the whole life of a human being who have sinned jesus took on that prize that's the significance of the death and resurrection of christ the bible tells us he went to the cross he literally took on the sins of the whole world of every human being that ever lived and will ever live and took on the punishment that they all deserve can you imagine that he took it all upon himself sin and all the resultant devastation implication ramification whatever it is all the effects and prize and consequence of sin he also took upon himself and all the effects of sin he took it all upon himself everything bad he took on that friday two thousand years ago that all who believe upon him who believe that he has done all this on their behalf can receive all the good that came about sunday morning all of his good in exchange for all of our bad he took it all upon himself jesus took of all of god's or all of men's wrong and the consequence of the wrong and the punishment for the wrong which is not just death huh not just physical death it's also a spiritual death a spiritual death it's eternal separation from your creator in the lake of fire i don't mean my word about this because it's not a very pc message to talk about today oh okay we talk about hell hell no you know but that's why jesus will go to the extent to pay the price that is the good news that he said you don't have to go there he went to hell by the way on your behalf after his death on the cross we'll come to that in a while it's eternal separation from god and that's why your eternity is it hinges on your response to this message of what jesus has done for you whether you believe or not believe or you you want to accept or reject it you don't change the ramification the consequence of your decision with regards to what jesus has done for you jesus paid the full price so that god can restore unto man the full blessing that he originally created adam and eve to enjoy jesus won it all back again to be restored to mankind amen amen and you know what the offer is still valid today after 2 000 over years it's still valid today being offered to the whole world it's a gift it's a free gift it's an awesome gift though awesome awesome in fact it looks like a gift too good to be true a deal too good to be true too good to be true you know for us while in the business world when you come across a deal that's too good to be true uh actually 10 out of 10 it's just too good to be true it's a phrase a scam right now this deal is too good to be true and yet it is true so only one day is like that it is true it's a come on think about it a very very one-sided deal that he makes it so easy for the little preacher of the boy of a preacher to understand that all it takes and he described he said you mean i offer god my sinful heart and surrender to him he gives me the gift of his righteousness and eternal life in his glorious presence and in his embrace for eternity just like that by believing so the author this preacher said that's how i got born again he got born again actually on a friday good friday evening when he was being tucked into bed when daddy makes it so simple for him to understand what is really a very profound redemptive call of vicarious death of jesus dying in his place so i'm saying this to you all if a little boy can understand and lay hold of this gift you can every one of us can every one of us can take hold of this gift this gift of life that money cannot buy you that no amount of human effort can can imitate and recreate that only jesus could bring about the full redemptive work so that mankind fallen mankind can be restored back into the arms of god without themselves paying the price because no man can afford the price and could even pay that price and jesus could and he did and this is the good news of resurrection sunday ah man on the cross he went through very very i mean just just was it just the last time we had our our family devotion yeah it was just last night because it was a good friday we gotta definitely do it on a friday on the good friday night right and we just record recalling what it means by vicarious jesus dying in in our place as a substitution it's a substitution everything he went through was a substitution even before he went to the cross when he was being abused by the by the roman soldiers bible records you know they punched him they spat on him they cursed him they mocked him he was abused by man so they we can be honored by god this caused substitution vicarious he received all the bad you see so that you and i can receive all the good from god you got to listen to this we got to recall because many times we christian got used to the blessing we forgot the implication of what he paid and and what it should mean for us today in our life he was abused and mocked he was shamed i mean it was utter you know he did not even have a shred of cloth on him until now we cannot depict him accurately on any movie or anything because it would then make the movie not watchable by the young he was hung naked utter shame so that god can restore complete honor and dignity of back to us who would believe that he did that for me so he took away all the shame and god now put all the honor and the dignity restored back to a broken life many many people live in shame today sometimes because they were victims of sexual abuse or rape from young or whatever you know or they have major failure before a business or they still live in in the sense of shame in the bankruptcy that they never walked out of whatever whatever people living a lot of shame today not knowing that jesus bought the most extreme shame extreme shame so that shame can be stripped away from you and in this place god puts dignity and honor upon you jesus did that that was vicarious substitution when he was led to the when he was crucified i mean he went he was tortured actually he was crucified on the cross and everything he went through i want you to examine go back today again look at the scripture what he went to and reconsider what was it that was paid for and today you received the opposite of it he was rejected so that we can be accepted by god he was forsaken so that we can be reconciled with god so on also on the cross even the worst day he spoke on the cross was packed with meaning packed with meaning when he said you know he was saying god god why have you forsaken me he said that so that we know he was forsaken he was forsaken so that you and i can be can be accepted and embraced and cherished amen he became poor utterly poor not a thread of cloth as i said on him not a sin not a dime no not any form of material wealth and bible says tell us clearly though he was rich he became poor so that you might become rich material no what he did was not just oh to give you spiritual wellness it's got to do with your health your material well-being your heart sense of security wholeness every aspect emotionally spiritually materially relationally he lost his sonship that's relational he he lost his sonship he was no longer a son he became an orphan on the cross so that all of us who are spiritual orphans cannot become the sons and the daughters of the most high he lost his sonship so that we as spirit by the way before you came to know jesus and be and receive of his salvation you are an orphan a spiritual orphan and you know what because he became an orphan on the cross you now become the you've now become the beloved child of god amen everything in opposite he received the evil of the most evil the worst of the worst so that we get the best of the best from god on the cross he was cursed galatians 3 tells us that cursed is he who who hangs on the tree referring to the cross on the wood the greek used on the wood which refers to the cross cursed he was cursed he bought all the curse all the curses of the world and of all generation do you know your sin and your evil bring about curses on your life and he bore them all so that you and i today can receive all of god's blessing do you know that do you know that's your inheritance i want to remind you on this resurrection weekend jesus purchased for you with his own blood with his own life with his sacrifice he gave you a whole lot more than men than what many of us come to be aware of and to believe god for and to embrace it and see its manifestation in our life so sad because the price has been paid for the price has been paid for everything is opposite on the cross we all know that he died right so that you and i may may live may live so he paid the price for even your death he killed death on your behalf by overcoming death and after his death by the way it's also on the cross when all the sins of the whole world was decked on one human body he was so grotesque that god turned away from him he was on the cross six hours by the way by about nine from about nine am to three pm six representing the sin of man right man was created on the sixth day of creation he was so gross and so grotesque can you imagine he was a rapist he was sinner he was a robber he was everything evil decked on him and god turned away from him and the whole world went dark even though the sun wasn't eclipsed it went absolutely pitched down because he was so gross and in and got turned away from him rejected him and in that one moment you and i have all been accepted into god's arm to be god's beloved people he paid the price people i want to remind you he paid the price and after that death on the cross it wasn't done yet the bible says he went down to haiti he went out to hell to take back the keys from from satan which is the authority the it represents dominion the adam and eve handed to satan in the garden of eden when they disbelieved god's word to believe the words of the lies of satan they handed dominion over to him and jesus legally went down to hell and take it back as a perfect human being they have not seen well then he has not lost a dominion now i take it back how why to be restored to us so the act of him going to hell is again vicarious so that you and i can be headed for heaven everything is in opposite but all of this all of this and this is not all and it's not exhaustive for sure all of this that he paid for whether it be a hell of a material physical emotional spiritual you know everything the whole transaction can still not take place if he did not resurrect the resurrection is what sealed the transaction because it's in his resurrection with the fullness of everything that has been redeemed back he could restore into every person that will say hey i believe in that i'm willing to lay hold of this free huh not because it's cheap but because jesus paid the whole price this is the message of resurrection on the resurrection weekend like that i want you to know there's a deal too good to be true and yet it is true and it's offered to you right now whether you're here live or or online you you can be the recipient of this guild and you cannot listen into this message by chance god drew you whether it live or online god drew you here because he said this is my gift this is my gift to mankind would you would you accept it would you lay hold of it simply by saying i'm willing i believe the little boy i believe and he got born again have you taken up this deal have you i have a little over 30 years ago and i've never looked back since except to celebrate and give thanks for the best deal i've ever cut in life and the best gift i would ever have received in my whole lifetime the gift of life hallelujah and today we celebrate that amen amen the truth about christ's life and resurrection is really the most important truth that you will ever know in your lifetime and the decision you make in response to it will impact your life in the greatest way possible and its result lasts forever into the realm of eternity is the most important truth it's the most important truth first corinthians 15 tells us this for i pass on to you as most important what i also receive that christ died for our sins according to the scriptures that he was buried that he was raised on the third day according to the scriptures that's the most important truth you will ever hear in your lifetime and god's word says that and bible says it is appointed unto man wants to die and then the judgment we all one day will be standing before god not to give an account to how much good work i've done or i i let the old lady cross the road you know when i was five years old whatever you know what achievement and all that all god will ask you is did you receive my free gift why do you not receive my free gift so you are of no excuse but it's so difficult it's a free gift the price was paid for your decision determines your eternity the truth of jesus death and resurrection is the most important truth because it reveals the greatest solution to the gravest problem that mankind face and what is the gravest problem sin sin and all its resultant devastation to human beings which is not just as i said just not just physical there but a spiritual death which is eternal separation from our heavenly father death and eternal separation from god are the gravest consequences of sin and fast the gravest problems of mankind consequently and caress correspondingly resurrection and reconciliation with god are the greatest effects of of salvation in christ that's a gift that god offers to the whole world the grave this problem have been met with the greatest solution god has given to man through jesus christ so jesus christ through his what he has done his redemptive work has offered man the greatest solution to the greatest problem we have in life and that's why resurrection is at the very core of the christian of the christian message that we call the good news it's the goodest news you will ever have heard amen and only and it's only because of jesus resurrection that paul could gloat in the face of of this gravest problem of man he says where death is your victory where mana tolo pinto vigor where there is your sting no more sting it can't harm us anymore for us who are in christ because christ already solved the greatest problem of man so we who are god's children through faith in jesus christ we can laugh and scorn in the face of our most fearsome enemy death because jesus christ has conquered it so blessed so blessed today we are in christ so blessed and i want you to thank god all over again hallelujah what is your greatest problem today what is it that's making you lose hair oops very sensitive for some people you know what what what gives you the most stress and distress today really really really friend think about it those online though so think about it what is greater's problem financial woes what business failure what is it or some kind of bondage and addiction in your life or or family strife or marital breakup what is it what is your greatest problem in life is anyone greater is anyone greater than death is anyone greater than spiritual death that forever separation from god in the lake of fire i mean is anyone greater any of your problem obviously no right and jesus already solved that what i'm trying to tell you is this he there's no there's no problem he has already provided a solution already for you and that's the blessedness of being in christ and that's the blessedness of having the resurrection power in your life to be able to do the right thing to be able to to overcome the greatest problem than a human being can ever face that's the good news and that's why we can scorn at death we can scorn it there let me bring you to the next scripture in first peter 1 verse 3 it says here blessed be the god and father of our lord jesus christ because of his great mercy he's given us new birth new birth you can actually have a new beginning you know a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of jesus christ from the dead so when you put your faith in jesus christ you experience this new birth the bible says into a new life full of hope to live in god's beautiful plans and purposes and callings for your life do you know god has a beautiful plan and purpose and calling for your life do you all know that every single human being muslim obama no every human being has a beautiful plan for your life and it's only when you're reconciled with him that the plans kicks into motion the resurrection power in you gives you the ability to live out that beautiful plan that god has for you so ephesians tells us this and this already my last scripture ephesians 1 verse 18 i pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened this is paul praying for the believers at ephesus i pray that your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of his calling you can be hopeful because god has a beautiful calling upon your life that when you begin to live it you'll feel such a fulfillment that money cannot buy because it's how he wired you with the corresponding gifts and talents and skills for you to be able to express that it's allowing a bird to fly and allow your fish to swim in the water and that's when you come into fullness or fulfillment in life god is calling upon your life and paul prays for for the believers at ephesus to know the calling and to hope in the calling and what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints there's a glorious inheritance god has prepared for you in christ and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power of his power toward us who believe do you believe that's a whole key the belief unlocks that power and then he goes on to say according to the mighty working of his strength he exercised this same power in christ by raising him from the dead and sitting him at the right hand at his right hand in the heaven this same resurrection power god said it's yours to take what's so great about this power can you imagine no think about moving all the problems of humankind all problems they bring us pain misery misery of every kind and ultimately death and separation from god do you know from the from the personal level to even national scale to even global dimension all problems has the same source and jesus went after the source when he solved all that all problems personal to national to global whether it be sicknesses and poverty or environmental disasters and calamities or even world wars or from the family striving divorce to to to plagues and pandemics well we're having one now right and then maybe worldwide economic collapse of the economic system and all that do you know all human problems they all actually share the same source they are all the consequences and results of the same thing they all trace back to the one origin sin because none of this existed before adam and eve sinned against god sin is very devastating is it it is effect on the human being on the individual and on the corporate groups sin is the greatest problem and since greatest price and consequence is death and jesus took care of that 2000 years ago in the english expression we say he came for the jugular he went for the source of it which is death sin and death sin that brought death he came and he took all the sins upon himself and he died their death on our behalf and then he overcome death because by taking on the sins of the whole world of all mankind upon himself and was crucified on the cross with it he was crucified with the sum total of the sins of the whole world upon his that one body why why did he put did he take up all the sins of the whole world upon his body in order to kill death on behalf of the whole mankind he took all the sins to be killed with it it was the way he killed death by dying with all the sins which is the cause of their death in the first place and so two thousand years ago on the faithful morning on the faithful morning third days a third day after his crucifixion god exerted his mighty power upon upon who upon jesus christ in the grave to overcome the greatest death that any human being can could ever bear and and raise him up from the dead against the full weight of the sins of the whole world of all mankind avoid of all generation i believe i personally believe that the power god exerted to raise jesus up from the that is unequal to anything he has done in the universe because there's nothing he accomplished that had to sacrifice his own son that kind of a prize and i believe that power is the greatest power i believe is greater than the power of creation to push against the weight of the sins of the whole world in order to raise him up from the dead that power god say is yours so this resurrection weekend i want to remind you god not only want you to believe in this resurrection god wants you to draw upon the resurrection power that is yours that is yours we just read the scripture we just read the scripture he exercised this power this same power in christ by raising him from the dead and sit and sit at him at his right hand in the heavens this the might is the power the immeasurable greatness of his power towards us who believe towards us who believe that this is offered us all who will believe the same power that raised jesus from the dead you see it's yours for the living because it takes his supernatural power to live this supernatural life that god has given each one every one of us amen and upon that great act of redemption god has since made available this same resurrection power to everyone who will believe upon him have you laid hold of this power have you laid hold of this power to live that life that god has given you to live the triumphant line i want to invite you to stand because i want to agree with you this this this glorious afternoon of this beautiful resurrection weekend i want you to lay hold that power don't leave this place without it and even if you have already believed jesus before i want you to come to him with a fresh faith with a child-like favor and say daddy i want it i want it you paid such a price for it i want it he delights god to no end when he sees his people lay hold to enjoy of that which he paid us at a very extreme price four to purchase for you and what he wants to see you there's nothing more that he wants to see you do than to be able to lay hold of the fullness of what jesus bled and died to bring you his resurrection life and his resurrection power today there's power in this resurrection i want to remind you the fresh you know many times we christian after a while we got used to messages you know and we stopped feeling the intensity the ramification the meaning the the width the height of of this offer of this reality we have in christ actually just yesterday when we were doing our devotion you know and we were singing this song at the cross at the cross right and my wife was just sharing say look because we use the youtube right and she was sharing me some of the comments i was really touched you know he was saying the comments were all over the world they said i am a religious teacher in my religion and that's in pakistan or somewhere in the middle east you know and i i i met jesus and he changed my life thank you for this song and all that there another one i'm from india i'm from the highest caste of my religion and i i met jesus and he changed my life and i was thrown out of my family but i'm so glad i received eternal life and comments of the comments were people all over the world just just cherishing the the life that they have received from very very adverse condition kind of of places you know and it makes me in that one instant realize that i think we got used to it we got used to it people who paid such price the ostracized thrown out of their family some killed some got martyred already of course obviously not those who put the comments you know you know yeah and you all know the kind of environment i labored in in those creative access nation we call them the price they paid i mean the torture they they go through when when they got arrested you know and they're happy because they cherish what they receive do you cherish what you have received people i want to remind you to cherish the gift of life some people are like oh it's so difficult to go to church to say ah the one i don't like to wear mask no you have no life you don't cherish his resurrection life you don't cherish a community of the saints you don't you don't cherish what god truly has given you that can only be fully experienced in in his among his people you see can i just ask if just take a moment just take a moment you will please the father to no end just close your eyes and just thank him just just close your eyes and just from the bottom of the hearty thank you to jesus for paying the price thank you thank you god help me help me to appreciate this help me that when i get jaded get used to it just would you refresh my heart would you renew my faith would you even reconstruct my thank my gratitude if i've lost it [Music] help me lord and this resurrection weekend i want you to lay hold of the fullness of your redemption what truly belongs to you because of what jesus has done now if you're online to do it too if you've never called upon jesus to be your lord and savior this is your moment don't miss this moment how do you call upon him just say i believe that's why no man can have an excuse justifiably at all in the presence of god one day when you stand before him and you will stand before him every human being will stand before him on the other side bible tells us that whether you believe or not will not change his effect and this eventuality you will stand before him to give an account to what you've done with this free gift so all i want you to do right now even never ask jesus into your heart and and life to be your savior just talk to him now and say prayer is talking to god and just tell me i believe no let me experience this life i believe and i receive you i receive this gift of life i receive you i believe upon you to be my lord and savior and i lay hope by faith of this eternal life that this pastor just talked about would you do that on the line would you do that here there's anybody here who do not know jesus this is the most important piece of information you will ever hear and this decision will be the most important decision you've ever made even your non-decision will be a decision will be like nah not for me and this will have the greatest consequence of you of your eternal state of being without end eternity without end it impacts you would you just take a moment and say god i received this gift and for all the believers in our midst i want to challenge you would you tell god lord i want to live this resurrection life help me tap into it even more help me have a greater understanding and revelation of it help me help me to know how to draw upon it even more with greater faith so that my life can be lived out in such a way that the people around me cannot cannot refute the reality of god and the goodness of this god we want to live such a life that we may glorify him
