The Dark (And Very Real) Lore of Bugsnax

i heard that somewhere far off in the ocean there lies an island where the creatures roam this is a passage from verse one of its bug snacks by kero kero benito and it describes snacktooth isle on this island an incredible discovery has just been made new life forms part bug part snack that provides seemingly incredible benefits to anyone who eats them allowing them to meld their flesh and go beyond the limits of their mortal shell unaware of the gravity of her finding the explorer elizabeth megafig sends a film to the outside world documenting her discovery in the images captured in this film her and her explorer team are in high spirits but unknown to them it's the last time they'll ever be seen alive snacktooth isle carries a terrible curse how long has this been happening will it ever end young horse's son respects our intelligence and doesn't give us all the answers up front but we do know that the curse always claims its victims the same way first a settlement of travellers arrive on snacktooth isle seeking a new life an expedition 13 strong of grumpuses who will set off seeking out a better life soon after arriving however their motivations shift as they discover the local fauna bug snacks while it always starts off as eating the bug snacks as a treat before too long the snacks become intoxicating [Music] on snacktooth island they did find a tasty quest to fill the hole that many feel inside their soul this obsession affects some faster than others family members begin to get worried after not too long their loved ones cannot stop talking about bug snacks people stop showing up to their homes instead they wander the countryside as they begin to feel their body shift and change more than ever before kinda bug and kinda snack try to catch them in your trap feed somebody and you'll see we are whatever we eat we are whatever we eat their body changes organs begin to grow legs blood stops flowing through their body and starts swarming becoming an increasingly jumbled mess of bug and snack over time they slowly fall into pieces littering the countryside with their remains remains that are kinda bug and kinda snack this continues until eventually as foretold in prophecy everyone is talking about bug snacks that is of course until nobody is they're pieces left to roam the countryside until the next gaggle of grandpas arrive like a lizard bird mega fig her doesn't strong entourage or maybe even you [Music] i mean i'm 90 sure that's what the story is yeah i think that was all pretty obvious stuff thanks for watching this thing that certainly was a video if you liked it honestly absolutely everything else on my channel is nothing like it but why not subscribe anyway and check it all out also i'm on twitter so peep that thanks once again and i'll see you next time
