video went hard thank you i spent a freaking week on it dude we're doing so we had a uh a youtube video out last night i got uh i'll tell i'll tell you uh of what we're doing today we're racing against oh wait a minute we're racing uh we're doing a lockout against switch today a s minecraft speedrunner but i'm going to tell you about the my morning first real quick so i finished and uploaded the video it was like 4am and so i was like okay i can get eight hours of sleep i'll set an alarm for noon it'll be perfect and so i do just that i fall asleep uh 4 a.m and i'm like all right i'll wake up at noon but i didn't wake up at noon i woke up at 9 30. oh wait one second i need to ban rodrig gamer 177 twitch all right following since january 5th 2022 it's all right there we go he said just play the damn game if you would listen with your ears you would understand why i'm not playing the game yet so i woke up this morning at uh 9 30 not noon five hours after i fell asleep and i checked my phone and my mom had texted me like a i think an hour and 50 minutes earlier saying i'm just leaving now be there in two hours and i'm like what she's and then next thing i know like uh huh and then uh i forgot that i was having breakfast with her today and i was she had like she had she keeps she had male a package that i was gonna give her and some doing some other stuff and so i spent the morning with her went out to the post office she's getting her phone fixed um yeah i completely forgot and then i was doing some laundry but also i was like right i have a meeting for panda stuff at 11 30. and so i i called them i did that as well and then switch was like yo i'm gonna be a little late just so you know and so i was like okay i'll fix the twitch emotes but um i'm on five hours of sleep i have an extra large black coffee and we're racing switch in ten minutes would have been i would have missed so much if i woke up at noon it would have been terrible also apparently after i finished hanging out with my mom some random dude recognized her i don't know who but apparently someone was like moving into some place and they were moving their computer and my mom was like oh be careful with that and he was like yeah i stream and my mom was like i do too and he was like small aunt mom she's been recognized in real life more than i have yeah i mean it's probably because she leaves the house that that's probably what it is my mom is more famous than me yeah yeah the the size of this w cannot be matched it's immense in immense w start pencil sharpening soon i need to participate in real life i'm trying to get a house you know once i get a place that i'm comfortable living in i'll leave it more you would think i'd leave honestly actually i think i'll leave the house even less once i have a house because like this room is awful to live in but i never leave anyways you think now i would leave if i if i was going to huh yeah i don't know about that maybe once i experience the the true thrill of going into multiple rooms maybe i'll want to go into the the biggest room of all the outside anyways uh thanks for all the subs snap dragging uh eve goes fast rainbow fresh zayn zayn zane the fun sam the person minecraft plays them with the bits hollow pulse oh man okay one more thing before we get into switch um there's a really good ramen place in south calgary you should check out sounds good i'm pretty sure there's like an 80 chance i moved to the southern half of calgary is it gonna be a best of one depends on how long it takes but um today i was like i wonder who's streaming minecraft in the morning two streams of minecraft so scrolling through and i made maybe one of the most impulsive decisions uh that i've ever made in my entire life um so i was scrolling through and i wound up uh just looked through all the streamers there was this random title that stood out to me i don't know why it stood out because i couldn't understand it because i'm i'm pretty sure it was spanish it might have been italian i'm gonna be honest i can't tell the difference um but it said something like the first word in the title was something like extend something and i was like i was trying to understand it i was like okay and i was like i don't know what that means i'm gonna click on it and i clicked on it and they had a bar on the top of their stream being like and i could just make out enough to understand what it said where if you donate a hundred bits you could extend the stream by four minutes and i was like 100 bits that's actually okay that's a dollar extensible it was like extensible yeah and so i checked how many bits i had and i had uh was it 57 000 bits no um no it was it was 5760 bits and i was like i'm never going to use these and so i just gave them all of my bits the sad part is i i typed in cheer and then a space and then the number and it didn't work and chat was like okay come on you're not actually gonna do that and then i typed c-h-e-e-t and then the bit number and it didn't go through and chat was like you're clearly screwing with us and i was like god damn it and there and they're they're speaking in whatever language they were streaming in so i i could just tell that they were like you could tell the tone just by like you know you could tell toned regardless of language and they were like you're faking this clearly and then i finally got it through and they were like oh my god and i added like 10 hours onto the stream they've been streaming for like 24 hours oh anyways i hope they have a good stream um can we rate them at the end i can't remember their username but they will be live by the time i'm done my stream it would be funny to raid them though yeah we'll raid them at the end we'll go find them are they still streaming yeah they have another like 10 hours you didn't follow them i didn't know what they were saying they occasionally said something like i think like they said uh smallent as one word um they opened up my twitch page and were like i think they said english or something once or twice being like oh does he only speak english i think he was asking chat and then there's some other stuff i don't know uh wait you found them how did you find them liz what you found them too how did you find them i didn't give any details they're in the top 50 okay you just look in a minecraft lockout and then he'll never die but uh that doesn't matter when i'll win in the end a lockout with link is again lincus hasn't been doing much minecraft speedrunning if we do a lockout with lincus it'll probably be in the 2v2 where like he's on my team and we're going up against like two other people of similar skill levels what's he illuminated bothering me during the stream and during the video the chat was on was trying to help it was his first time doing a lockout so i said he could leave it on um i i said he could like at the start of the thing you know at the start of the video i said anything is allowed so i was like you know just make sure his uh his oh my god i was just like make sure that uh you know he doesn't spoil like my exact coordinates yeah x7r thank you for the two months in fizz with the eleven thousand five hundred bits thank you so much you said curry waste is gonna be on his channel today um his video is already edited so today or tomorrow you lost because of rng and his chat i think if he didn't have chat i would have won but i mean i allowed it so i mean i can't be mad you know i said you can use chat just you know don't let them cheat like a bunch of things from different angles and we just make like a big show out of a lockout jumping back and forth between perspectives like i think that'd be really sick eventually where it's like we have like a tournament that's like highly produced i'm thinking about i was i'm probably gonna contact one of the people that's uh that's run some of the um like better minecraft live events and just be like 1v1 highly produced matches like that would go so hard on twitch like a cinematic live minecraft lockout you could use replay mod i think it'd be better to have like actual people there as camera people getting angles you know like yeah that'd be awesome for odyssey multiplayer too you could probably do that yeah but anyways switch is ready i'm calling him hello hello hey hi how are could be difficult um and uh for optifine settings i did a lockout with alumina last week and uh optifine make sure you go into the uh performance settings of of your video settings and just turn everything on basically uh it'll increase your frame rate by like tenfold okay chill okay okay here we go should be good is are we allowed to use dynamic lighting or uh what's that mean it's the thing where like if you hold the torch it'll illuminate like around you yeah that's fine i guess okay yeah sure um okay um i can explain uh to chat what this is and to you as well just so it's all clear i think i shared with you the the smaller changes that were made um but i'll i'll recap all right so this is a minecraft lockout uh when we start we will get a board of 25 random objectives ranging from very easy to very difficult some of them are just like get a full set of wooden tools other ones are like uh get a dragon head uh or get a lodestone get a piece of netherrite armor you know there's a lot of random stuff and you'll see when they pop up uh the first person to 13 of them 13 wins if one person completes an objective the other person is no longer able to complete it uh we always have a compass that points either points to the other person as long as you're in the same dimension and [Music] uh yeah i think that's pretty much everything yeah okay yeah let's show yeah okay um oh yeah i can't give me any hints as to what you're doing or what's happening i will let my chat know that you can't spoil they've been pretty good about this in the past so good my my chat may spoil but just make sure i don't know your mods are on it if there's spoilers of of where stuff is and i mean if if they spoil like oh you hid something here just just act like you didn't see it yeah i got you all itself okay after 90 seconds so that'll give us plenty of time and plenty of time for you to look at everything so it's not going to be super overwhelming or it will be but yeah um it's always immediately we're gonna try to do that one as fast as we can yeah um other teams hit by a snowball uh tame a cat craft a banner get any spyglass advancement oh some interesting ones obtain a bell uh snow golem there are a lot of snow goals here which is interesting okay and crystal bottle of enchanting potion of invisibility that's a golden carrot uh with but you you ruin a a night vision potion free to sheep okay we need wheat for that no obsidian again uh kill a zoglin mine a mob spawner obtain a wither skeleton skull that was awful uh decided to pick up with gold there's not too many nether goals i mean die by magics are really cool and there's a bunch of different ways to die by magic more than you'd think um because the dryer can actually kill you with magic or which can kill you with magic and kill yourself with magic a monument can kill you with magic uh but anyways yeah we're gonna we're gonna try and hit him with a snowball as quickly as you can i'm not sure if punching dirt um i'm not sure if punching dirt actually does it but yeah we this is taking so long but he's probably overwhelmed so i'm done looking at this i know the game plan we're gonna try and hit him with a snowball get a full set of wooden tools after that i think yeah we're gonna start by snowball and then wooden tool here we go here we go here we go oh please tell me that i what the could be diamonds but it's not really worth looking uh i just have this feeling he's going to take fall damage is there an enchanting goal no um breed of sheep let's go back to the surface i'm going to try and maybe get a skeleton and go back to the surface that'll hurt okay one bone is that enough to grow we don't know we should just go up to the surface and see if i can find food i need to get some like i just need to get back up there is pumpkin pie which i didn't grab two pumpkins for because i am quite dumb acquire hardware i wonder where he is it's almost night time uh yeah we're just there's so much snow i've traveled so far and only seen snow this is kind of crazy actually are you uh looking for a village why would i do that i don't know man i'm trying to get food i'm just gonna going to hell yeah there aren't a lot of goals related to that so i don't think he like other than trade with a piglet which is really easy and getting a wither skull in skull unless he's like insanely lucky why so i go back there yeah yeah yeah he's in the nether whatever you're in the nether whatever doesn't matter literally doesn't affect me at all i'm not phased in the slightest um do our portals happen to link what portals like if you make one to get into another will they happen to link they could if we're close enough uh are you just in a hole i think i think you'll enjoy this another spawn of our portals link zombie villager there do i don't think i need a zombie villager though there's some sheep okay wait a minute okay um sleep alone in the overworld there's no goal here shears i need to make a bed asap i'll skip through the night i know shoe she can't breathe but there's enough here that we will be able to be fine with that he is in the nether he hasn't found any of sucks yeah yeah kind of sucks doesn't it he doesn't get any goals for that there's no goals for that unless it's a bastion that happens to give him like every gold yeah i can't it yeah definitely happens in 118. uh what happens with 118. nothing too big um yeah it's a little bit harder to nava bastion but you know oh brutes it's a little bit more difficult a little bit it's not letting me eat bro there we go did you guys know they found a glitch recently where if you punch something while you're running you don't lose hunger for running anymore so i place down a boat now jumping will reduce my hunger but running won't so we can run for basically forever now there's no die to a b goal okay uh we need to find a village for a cat that's what we're trying to do right now village for a cat and a bell that would be two goals if we find a village we're gonna be way ahead then yeah then i think it would be time to go to the nether but i need to find a village oh i stopped running so my hunger's gonna go down now we need to punch something fortunately we have a boat [Music] such a stupid glitch see i'm only losing hunger for jumping which really doesn't lose hunger that fast you need significantly less food give me a village come on that's what we need getting a village would be a huge huge moment so we could get a bucket and a shield from the golem as well nice oh you've missed that one too listen it's okay it'll matter all right i'm winning because he's making mistakes and not because i am good this is great it's all right that's sorry it's easy to forget okay let's do this man how far out am i i'm going back towards spawn oh my god there's a village okay we're gonna i don't think he can catch up to me so we're gonna get the bell immediately because he'd get a bell in the bastion or in a rune portal but he definitely cannot tame a cat in the nether he could theoretically get a bell than either but he couldn't get anything else so this is good the end crystal goal it's it's one difficulty basically the way it works is i have a i'll just read out how it works lock out goals uh i have a document that essentially um of all how many goals are there there are 131 potential goals um and or 130 ish 130 potential goals and basically they're ranked in difficulty from one to three um i believe there are seven easy tasks 13 medium tasks and five hard tasks on every board um and then basically they're also classed into different like uh like if it's a mining goal like mine a certain block um the mining goals maximum of two can show up on a board um it's like get a full set of tools a maximum of like two of those can show up on a board so you'll always get a variety every single time instead of just like a goal where everything on the board is just obtain x obtain y you know so it guarantees variety it guarantees difficulty and the further you get into a lockout the harder it gets um yeah yep so there's a lot i think mining dirt seems like a hard goal yeah did you strip these yourself no i i basically described what i wanted to at sign as best i could and atsen learned how to mod minecraft and did it he went into this not knowing anything about minecraft the funniest thing about this this lockout mod is at sign the first time he sent it to me he was like okay it's done i couldn't test a few of the goals because i couldn't do them i couldn't kill the dragon i'm like oh my god it's so funny it's like i don't know how to brew this potion so if you could do that that sounds the best you just made a mod without oh it's so good yeah it's good stuff has sky block been fixed yet not yet at sign has been working on this yeah we're in between rounds it's currently 1-0 for me yeah at sign i think bought minecraft after he started coding like he he just yeah does that sound get paid yeah i pay him for all the mods that he makes this like music is actually so insane this astral chain soundtrack oh my god but yeah what are my favorite goals i'm gonna go through my favorite goals that could show up what are my favorite ones i like die by firework rocket that's just such an obscure random thing that never happens so good um what's another good one honestly a classic is hit the other player with a snowball because you have to have a snowball fight i love that uh sleepless in the overworld is always really it makes a really cool dynamic um that's another good one i like the spyglass advancement you can have so many different things like you can look at a ghast or a parrot or the dragon i believe how many goals there in total there's a hundred and 129 goals after looking at it again you should make die by anvil that is one of the goals yeah there is uh on the death goals let's see die uh yeah so there's die by bee sting die by llama die by cactus by barry bush by anvil firework rocket and magic those are all the death ones oh that's so good uh there is no eat a puffer fish goal because there is already get nausea goal which you have to know okay the only way to get that is with the puffer fish uh yeah actually there's a new one die by uh falling stalactite that's true yeah die by falling stalactite is one as well how do you die by magic uh you can die by magic by either brewing a harming potion and harming yourself to death uh or you can uh have a witch kill you with a harming potion or you can have dragon's breath have the dragon breathe on you dragon's breath is magic uh or you can have a guardian kill you but you have to be on i think like you have to be on low health or something there is eat a poisonous potato goal yeah there is ido chorus fruit poisonous potato cookie suspicious stew rabbit stew pumpkin pie get struck by lightning we removed all goals that are related to nether and uh weight and staying alive or waiting so there's no skewed goal uh there used to be get a honey block goal that was awful you had to wait so long for that um there is not a yeah there's no there's no lightning goals because you just can't guarantee that and if one person sleeps it resets the weather and you have to wait like an hour minimum uh so we're never getting that basically um you should add die by void that would be a really interesting one actually i believe there is still a honey bottle goal yes what is the hardest goal the most difficult goal is probably reach level 15 that's that's the hardest no in technical difficulty kill the other player is probably one of the hardest depending on who you're against um but i think finding an end city is the hardest goal or get levitation get levitation is the hardest are there any electro goals no i mean we could have had like finding elytra instead of get levitation but i didn't want to have too many there used to be a turtle helmet goal which was awful because i think you had to literally wait like an hour and a half for and then you had to admit for the eggs to hatch and then then it was cute and then we just got rid of it all together because it was awful that was the first lockout i did with lincus the first vlog that i did with lincus they had like full set of chain mail armor where you have to trade with like 100 villagers and get lucky the next the next one was like yeah just awful what's the easiest um easiest goal [Laughter] depends on what you consider easy i think probably the easiest one is either breed chicken because you just need two seeds and those are easy to get or ride a horse yeah wooden tools is really easy as well yeah but i mean ride a horse you literally just right click on a horse if you see a horse you just right click on it same thing with like chickens you destroy two pieces of grass you breed chickens it's probably right horse this is a server side mod or client side too um you have to it's the same mod you put it on the server and client side um because yeah the mod it changes the f3 menu it removes the advancement pop-ups now uh the one thing that we changed since last time is the advancements used to pop up and cover the board whenever you got a new advancement also there was like hey you unlocked a new recipe and it would cover the board we got rid of that now um there is a uh what else uh it also modifies um villager conversion rates you play on easy but villagers are converted 50 of the time with zombies anyways um oh you're good for round two i am so good for round way to mine because you open up the most amount of blocks every time if you stand up in mind you open up less blocks this blocks so this is the optimal way to mine for diamonds if this diamond pickaxe breaks i concede i just straight up concede i don't think it will there's no way the game would be that cruel this seemed a lot of bet oh my god one two please please three there we go jesus christ yeah it was awful that's crazy i don't think i mind that much i think the only time that i was really mining was in the nether because i spawned in like this another ravine that was like a hundred-ish
