about to show you 10 awesome cars you can own for under 10 000 bucks let's go so you got 10 000 bucks in your pocket and you want something that'll be seriously fun for the next few years well this list should kind of start and end right here the nissan 350z the nissan 350z has probably the most aftermarket support of any car on this list so whether you want to build it into a track monster a stance machine a drift car or just have a really nice car to drive every day this v6 powered rear wheel drive manual transmission coupe with 300 horsepower should definitely be at the top of your list it's not really a drag racer but you can make serious power out of that vq with a couple of turbos and the real beauty of the 350z is its chassis design which will have you carving up corners whether you're on the race track or just enjoying a nice mountain drive at the speed limit don't go too fast and one of the best things about the 350z is they made a bazillion of them in all different options automatic manual a slick top or a drop top there's a nissan 350z out there for anyone and also thanks to them making so many of them you can actually get a good one for under seven grand coming in way under the budget on this list meaning you have a bunch of cash left over in your pocket for modifications and to make it uniquely yours now one thing the 350z is definitely not known for is luxury it's got a pretty spartan boring interior so if you're looking for a little more leather under the 10 000 mark you might want to consider the german supra the bmw e92 3 series loaded with leather and covered in luxury the 335i might look like a dad car but don't be fooled under the hood of this lies a monster in weight and you can have a lot of fun with this car thanks to the legendary and infamous n54 engine now why does everyone call this the german supra well it's thanks to that n54 motor which is an inline six cylinder engine with 300 horsepower and 300 foot pounds of torque at your disposal but what really makes this a supra is that it has insane tuning potential it's fairly commonly known that with a few mods your budget of like 1500 bucks you can get 500 horsepower out of that n54 and the sky's kind of the limit after that pushing close to four figures is not impossible you know it's a german car though so bring your wallet and like the 350z the 335i was offered in a number of different configurations like a coupe a convertible or even a sedan and it even comes in all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive and of course it's also offered with a manual transmission which you're probably gonna want and like the 350z there are a bazillion of these on the road and so the price for them is kind of low we were able to find a decent one for 7 500 meaning you can build a 500 horsepower 335i for under 9 000 bucks that's insane just um also bring another 9 000 because the 335i and the n54 aren't known as the most reliable combo in the world [Music] no if you want something reliable you're gonna want something underpowered and the king of underpowered cars is the toyaru fr z86 sorry i mean the subaru brz or the toyota 86 or the scion frs pretty much no matter which one you choose you're getting the same exact car all powered by a four banger with 200 horsepower which might not sound like a lot and it isn't [Music] but with its curb weight of around 2800 pounds this car is actually pretty sprightly on turns and in corners making it kind of like a hardtop miata and since it's a rear-wheel drive cheap sports car from a japanese company that's from actually three different japanese companies there is just an absolutely insane amount of aftermarket support out there for these cars meaning you can turn your toyo roux into literally any kind of car you can imagine or better yet if you've got ten thousand bucks buy one that's already been modified by somebody else and save tons of money like this lime green machine we found for just under our budget of 10 grand now okay okay if you just have to have the most horsepower under 10 grand you're of course going to be thinking of v8 and if you're thinking of v8 and fun you're probably thinking of a mustang that's right for under 10 grand you can pick up a rear wheel drive manual transmission tire slaying american muscle car with one of the most recognizable names in the game ever back in the 1960s ford wanted to make the perfect cheap fun car with the ford mustang and 60 years later they're still doing it and because they've been making these for so long they've really got the recipe down pat when you buy a modern mustang you're not buying some science experiment these things have been engineered for decades and they have been engineered for fun ford has sold over 10 million examples of the ford mustang and thanks to that endless supply of used stangs depreciation kicks in pretty quickly with these meaning you can pick up a badass mustang today for around 7 500 bucks which is about the most fun you can have for the price unless you live somewhere that actually has seasons then maybe the mustang name for you if you live somewhere where it snows you might want to get something that's fun and also a bit safe and for that you might want to consider the subaru wrx sporting an all-wheel drive drivetrain and a manual transmission this rally car for the streets is capable of tackling literally any terrain the subaru wrx is a car you're already a fan of i'm sure if you watch this channel you love that rowdy little boxer engine you love its turbocharged power and tuning potential and you probably don't love that everyone that drives them smokes vapes vape nation and you probably also don't love that they kind of blow head gaskets pretty often [Music] either way they're still a real deal and really the only one of its kind in the market an all-wheel drive turbocharged car is very much rare these days and thankfully the wrx has been around long enough that there's an insane amount of aftermarket support from wide bodies to big turbos to air ride suspension if you want taking a wrx and making it your own is as easy as it gets and with a million of them going over multiple generations being sold there are a ton of cheap examples on the market today so grab yourself a 7 000 subaru like this one and use the rest of that money to make it uniquely yours now if you love all the fun of a hot hatch but you don't need that all-wheel drive then look no further than ford's offering of the fiesta and focus st both the focus st and the fiesta st are fantastically fun cars the focus is bigger and faster the fiesta is smaller and nimble and also called a fiesta so it's kind of a party but both give you an equally fun nimble driving experience if you step into the seat of a focus st you're getting 252 horsepower which might not sound like a lot but it's actually 700 pounds lighter than the wrx i just talked about which means you can stack up 45 bowling balls in your passenger seat before you weigh as much as a wrx and the lightweightness of the st models means that it's not just fast in a straight line it is fun in the twisties aftermarket support for these isn't as big as the other cars on this list but there's still plenty of fun to be had with these engines a couple of cheap mods like a downpipe an intake and a tune and you're looking at 50 extra horsepower and no matter how much power they're generating you're gonna feel like a badass race car driver because they come standard with a manual transmission and cool recaro bucket seats and thankfully these are just now starting to be under our price budget with the focus st coming in at just under 10 grand and if you're okay with the lighter slower more nimble fiesta you can get one of those for closer to seven both again great options for a hot hatch now a little lesser known option under 10 grand that you might not be thinking about but you should be is the hyundai genesis coupe a fun hyundai impossible well don't be so sure because today's hyundai is pumping out more and more fun little cars than you remember and it all started with the hyundai genesis coupe when hyundai developed the genesis they clearly had the 370z straight in their crosshairs and they really hit a home run when they came out with the genesis coupe coming standard with brembo brakes and a badass engine offered with a couple of really good engine options depending on what your end goals are with either a naturally aspirated v6 putting out around 350 horsepower or a turbo four-cylinder pumping out 274 with the latter one being capable of way more horsepower with modification the hyundai genesis coupe is the rear-wheel drive fun car that you are not thinking of but you should be from wings to wide bodies and wheels to wraps there's almost an unlimited amount of options for customizing your genesis and this being the less thought of option means that they're really cheap we were even able to find one that's already been wide bodied and has wheels for just seven grand that's like most of the work done for you so think about that when you're shopping for your next fun car under 10 grand now i know what you're thinking i'm 50 years old and i want to go to the golf course but go there really quickly well then this next car is for you we're talking about the cts-v now this ain't your grandma's old cadillac oh no if you can look past that boring old cadillac badge on the grill the cts-v is an absolute epic american muscle car because behind that badge and under that hood is the corvette z06s ls6v8 crammed into an engine bay that was fit for a v6 and that secret weapon under the hood is pumping out 400 horsepower and 395 foot-pounds of torque meaning that the cts-v is just an absolute monster for the money [Applause] and it's not just fast in a straight line the cts-v also comes paired with some brembo brakes and a chassis design that was honed at the nurburgring meaning you will have a hell of a fun time rowing your own gears in this because it only comes with a manual transmission anywhere you go and bonus it's a friggin cadillac so it's actually really luxurious inside now one thing it doesn't have that's typical of a cadillac is a cadillac price tag you can pick one of these up for around nine grand today now another car on this list that your grandpa won't be able to get into is the toyota mr2 lightweight mid-engine toyota reliability rear wheel drive and a manual transmission sounds a whole heck of a lot like a lotus elise but actually it's a little gem of the 90s from toyota a mid-engined racer from japan that fooled a lot of people into thinking it was a ferrari psych this is definitely one of the most unique rides on this list and also probably one of the most dangerous thanks to its snap oversteer but if you're brave enough to tackle this little monster you can get into the seat of one for only 7 500 bucks making it a risk that might be worth taking and the mr2 is definitely one of my favorite cars of all time especially if you can get it in the turbo edition and for the last car on this list let me just say something that'll get all your ears perked up r32 no no we're not talking about the cool r32 sadly you can't get those under 10 grand i am disappointed we're actually talking about the volkswagen r32 now just because it's not the legendary street monster called godzilla from nissan doesn't mean this isn't an intensely fun car under 10 grand the volkswagen r32 is essentially vr6 powered all-wheel drive golf with a quick shifting dsg transmission meaning that the r32 is actually one of the best all year daily drivers with enough power to reach highway speeds in under 6 seconds which is pretty quick for this list [Music] and of course an evo or an sti is faster but they're nowhere near this price tag and with the r32 being a high level volkswagen it almost makes it feel like an audi when you drive it but you won't feel like you're buying an audi when you go to buy one because you can pick up one of these hot hatches for just around 8 500 bucks making it one of the most fun most tunable most capable german cars you can get for under 10 000 bucks today now if you asked me which of these would i take home it's of course gonna be that 350z i mean this is just hands down
