all right so there hasn't been that many car meets lately because of uh the pandemic but back when i was going to him i remember seeing some wild mods out there you had crazy coilovers insane exhausts badass blowers and some super obnoxious sound systems that made your hair kinda go like this and i was just thinking damn bro how much did you spend on all that seriously it is no secret whatsoever that some people just blow ridiculous amounts of money modding out their cars and as cool as that is that's just not a wise financial decision for some of us or most of us but i'm here today to show you that you don't need all that money to be able to make some super cool mods on your car these mods are cheap they're easy and some won't even cost you a dime and if you're new here i'm brad danger you want to do a sleek matte black finish to your wheels ugh i bet that grill would look pretty sick and black as well and you can't forget those emblems how can you forget those emblems hell you want to murder out your entire car and you could go to a shop that would charge you an arm and a leg or you could just run down to your local hardware store pick up a couple cans of plasti-dip for next to nothing and i think that plasti-dip is less than 10 bucks last i checked and if you can't afford that i don't know start delivering pizza or something pizza time because the possibilities with plasti-dip are endless you can turn your emblems from chrome to badass black in a matter of minutes and that's gonna look sick even if it does say civic and if you plasti-dip your civic badge well don't just stop there plasti-dip the whole car some people are actually doing this instead of vinyl wrap why because it's cheap as dirt and if you absolutely hate it you can remove it without damaging the paint underneath you just peel it off like a bad sunburn seriously though even though some purists may hate plasti-dip it was said that you would destroy this and not join them it's one of the cheapest and easiest ways to add some custom color to your ride and one place you do not want to put plasti-dip and you've been warned is your headlights thank you for exhibiting exactly why this nothing can you believe that so we all have dreams about cruising around in a brand new lamborghini diablo but then you wake up from that dream and you're probably sitting in a busted up toyota camry and i get it you're waiting on that winning lotto ticket but when you stomp on the gas in your old rust bucket do you ever notice that it takes a little too long to start accelerating well dr brad's here with the diagnosis your throttle cable probably needs to be tightened no way in older cars the throttle cable tends to get loosened up over time and this can cause your gas pedal to be less responsive since it's not rotating the throttle switch unless you really put your foot down on the floor luckily there is a super easy fix and all you gotta do is grease up those elbows grab a 12 millimeter wrench and pop the hood and what you should see are two nuts that are holding the throttle cable in place simply take that trusty wrench in hand and adjust the position of those nuts until that throttle cable is nice and taut boom better throttle response you do however want to be careful not to tighten that cable too much so that it's actually turning the throttle switch because then what happens is it increases your idle speed and basically just wastes a ton of gas not to mention uh burning a hole in your wallet as well and the next mod on our list isn't really all about performance in fact it might actually up your drag coefficient but here at ideal we're all about keeping it zen and sometimes you just need a breath of fresh air and ain't nothing better than cruising around with your music blasting and your windows down so what do you do when you want to get some fresh air while you're driving but it's raining buckets outside and you don't want to get your beautiful leather seats wet well you need some rain visors and you can get a set for your doors for like 35 bones and they take roughly 10 minutes to install or i mean 10 seconds yeah like no time at all and the trick is that they have this adhesive strip on the bottom that let you just stick them on top of your door and voila you're you're done but all that rain won't just get you wet it can seriously hurt your visibility when you're out there hot dogging it down the boulevard and if you're working with some bum ass headlights you could be putting your life at risk so save your mom some sleepless nights and upgrade those headlights now you may be thinking that your sander bull locked in bird box and you can drive with your eyes closed but the matter of the fact is you're not and you need to see the road while you're driving apparently some 17 year old girl in utah actually tried driving blindfolded and crashed into another car [Laughter] you serious anyways you're smarter than that and you should at least consider upgrading your headlights you can find nice set of leds online for around 30 bucks and trust me these things will dramatically improve your visibility most cars come standard with halogen headlamps which get the job done i guess but upgrade to leds and you're gonna notice the difference immediately they're brighter they cast a wider pattern and their light is whiter than the light produced by halogen and plus they even use less energy all them benefits for just 30 bucks you'd have to be a crazy person not to go for that now most car manuals have instructions for replacing headlight bulbs but let me run it down for you real quick basically all you got to do is pop the hood and you'll see the back of the bulb sticking out from behind your headlights there should be a little clip sticking out press that down and pull the bulb out some bulbs have two clips that you'll have to push so yeah just do that twice then just slide out the old bulb and slide in the new bulb easy like sunday morning breakfast except that's kind of hard to make so not like that and then all you got to do is wait for the moon to come out hop behind the wheel and night ride down a dusty highway with your cool new led headlights now if you're doing that i hope i hope i hope that you're driving a manual honestly what's the fun in driving in auto tragic anyway but you know what's even more fun than driving a manual driving a manual with a sick custom shift knob oh my now we've already gone over some cool ways to trick out the exterior of your car but now i want to talk about one of the coolest custom touches you can put on the interior and yes if you're driving an automatic or auto tragic this part of the video ain't for you but if you're on board with the save the manuals movement listen up there's nothing like the feeling of your hand on the shifter doing throws in a five or six speed just feels so good and if you're driving a manual like you should be your hand is constantly on that shifter so why not upgrade your knob and really make it your own i think getting a really nice leather one not only feels great on your hands but it looks the part as well or you can get a rubber one for some extra grip health i was just looking on amazon and they even have a shift knob that's shaped like the handle of a samurai sword absurd the things you didn't know you needed until you saw them right or how about this dragon ball z1 for you anime nerds or a grenade for the gutter punks more basic shift knobs start at roughly 15 bucks and they're just
