I tell people all the time that I didn't always want to be a football coach but I always want to be a dad and I got three kids of my own and I treat all my students like their mind and I you know I want them to be real people to me and I want them to come back and say things like that you know that's really good you know oh I think you got something you want to say the coach oh you know I tell you all the time I appreciate everything that you've done for me how you helped me how you've gone about it but you never you never I don't know if you ever knew I never told you because I don't tell many people but I was in foster care for eleven years and and I don't know and then a lot of people have given up on me and I just want to thank you for never giving up on me I never done huh never going to I'm gonna tell you man you just make a difference and this one guy a coach is so important people don't know man you got so many boys ain't got no daddy they get around these coaches and these they become father figures and they and they just they gravitate to him because every boy wants to be a man but it's got it takes another man to show them how it's done coach I got something else I want to share with you two we brought you here for two reasons first of all Hector wanted to say these things to you but for the inspiration that you give your students you my friend happen to be today's Harvey's hero so that qualifies you man you are hardly steer oh man that's me that's yours bigger daddy and all got my name on it heavy I know that's not all man we've never done this before but I think we got two heroes on this stage so Hector you just become Harvey's hero too man big-time man yeah I think both of these guys are heroes and uh there's even more sonic driving and supports local public school teachers through his lime AIDS for learning campaign to show coach Walter their appreciation for all he does for his students coach they're giving you $5,000 gift [Applause] it can be used to warn school supplies on donorschoose.org that's reunion had a big textbook never had a big chin ever had a big table for it I love this guy man nobody never gave him nothing more than some sneakers at our Hector man yo touching tribute to his teacher inspired signing so much uh that they're giving you um $10,000 for your college yeah we're going to college man yeah you got $10,000 we're gonna go to college man you
