- This is a great story, man. You know, as a father, I can't imagine the
pain of losing a child. I have no idea what that's like. But one of my next guests knows
that feeling all too well. Yeah, when his daughter lost her life, a young man was able to extend his thanks to a heart transplant. Back in 2017, the two
met and a father was able to hear his daughter's
heartbeat one more time. Take a look. (soft crying) - Well, it's working. (group laughs) (audience applause and cheers) - Well, please welcome Bill
Conner and Loumonth Jack Jr. (applause and cheering) Bill, I can't imagine that. I really can't. I have no idea. What do you think about when you see Lou and you know your daughter saved his life? - Well, she was able to help
people, that's who she was. And for us to be able to
give their family life, it took the sting out of it. Abbey showed up at the right time and he came out with a new
heart, so perfect match. (applause) - So Lou, why did you
need a heart transplant? - I was diagnosed with a cardiomyopathy, pretty much had a heart attack. My heart was able recover in
time, those three month period, pretty much had to get a heart transplant. And it came down to, I
have eight days to live. So, I woke up with a heart. - [Steve] Really? - Yeah. (applause) - Lou, what's life been like
since your heart transplant? - It's been wonderful really,
I wake up every morning great. I'm here, I'm happy. (applause) I really don't have
anything to complain about. The fact that I wake up every
morning just joyful, really. Ready to get things, be productive, and get my day done, really. - Thanksgiving is tomorrow, man, and I know that the both of you must have a lot to be thankful for. What message of gratitude
would you like to share with everybody watching right now? - No problem is as big
as we make it, alright? We should just be happy
to wake up in the morning. Every day is a special day. Me, having my life on the line, it made me appreciate life so much more. And I'm just, I'm thankful
for Abigail and so much. What she did for me, not just one. I'm just thankful for Abigail, Mr. Bill, and pretty much just living. - [Steve] Yeah, man. - I think it's about pulling yourself out of your comfort zone. When I rode my bicycle from Madison, to Fort Lauderdale, I
had a cause to live for. What we were able to accomplish on that bike ride, and
organ donation awareness. We were able to generate in three weeks, when our Father's Day video went viral, we're over 200 million views
on that Father's Day video. - Really? - In three weeks, we had over 60,000 new organ donor
registrations in three weeks. - [Steve] Wow, really. - Yeah. - [Lou] Oh yeah. (applause) - I happen to be a spiritual person, so it's easy for me to
connect dots like that. You were saying something
and the translation for what you were saying
was, you have no problem bigger than your God. I don't care what happens. You have no problem bigger than your God. You've eight days to live,
that's not too big for him. - Definitely. - [Steve] And you sir,
God in his grace to you allows her heart to
beat in this young man. And then you get on your bike, and you make so many more
people aware of organ donors. And he just mentioned your
daughter's heart in him. And you mention your
daughter's name in him. She lives, man, that has to be very, very meaningful for you. - It is. And I think in a case of any tragedy, the ability to give somebody life, or a better life in a tragedy, I don't think you could
have a better legacy. I mean- - [Steve] Man. (applause) I think that's great, man. Thank y'all so much
for sharing your story. Probably one of the best
stories I've told on this show. Thank you very much, Lou. - Thank you. - [Steve] Thank you, Bill. - [Bill] Thank you. - [Steve] Thank you,
man. Thank you, brother.
