Officer Beddoes: An Angel Lead Me To The Baby || STEVE HARVEY

my next guest is a cop who went way beyond the call of duty to save a baby's life and that my friend that's good news please welcome officer Tyler Beto so Tyler took us back to that day I was having lunch with my wife and kids it's kind of a typical Saturday in Utah and we got a call of a car upside down in the Spanish Fork River at this time of year there's a lot of snow and ice runoff in the river so I told my wife and kids hey I know I'm at lunch but I need to to go to this and so I was on my way there and dispatch came on the phone and said they're on the radio and said hey we got an arm that's sticking out of this car and it's smashed and upside down and so that really was you know your heartbeat you kind of amps up your sense of urgency and there's four officers and we got there to the scene and got down into the water is cold cold water but I didn't fill it at the time and get down into the water and that's when I heard a female voice all of us heard it saying help me help me and we were able to flip the car onto its side that's the only way we could get inside the crushed mess and that's when we saw that the adult female in the car had been dead for hours and and that's when we saw that a little infant was actually submerged in water at that time having kids that same way when she was underwater so they the crash happened 14 hours previously they found out and the mom was killed on impact so the mom swerves off a bridge it's kind of hidden from view and mom's killed on impact and then this little child's in that car for 14 hours barely above water the only companies her dead mother and it just broke my heart and when we were able to flip the car to get to see who the adult was inside because we can see the baby at the time and we flipped the car over and that's when we could we then submerged her in water first so she survived 14 hours upside down in this freezing temperatures and then we dumped her for an extra two to three minutes not knowing she's there and so here's this one-year-old child that's now under water for three minutes in it once we noticed we're able to get her out of her car seat strap okay am I missing something yet you said the mother was killed at impact right okay so who was saying help me help me that was such a tough thing we were the only four officers they're all all-male and when we heard - help me help me we thought someone was in there until we found out that the only adult female who had been dead for hours so for me I really believed in angel guided us - there I really it's something that's so hard for me to process at first my faith was really in the dumps I as a police officer now it'sit's tough to hit the streets and in America and do what yeah you know I'd love to do and so with the negativity that I had a quadruple homicide with some children I investigated and my kids were the same age so I really struggled and I was losing my faith in God and when I heard this this voice and what I believe was an angel that guided me to the cars the only explanation is really just amped up my sense of you know my faith changed it did a 180 I'll never doubt God again I mean he really it really changed me we'd say baby Lily that day but in reality she saved me in my faith and I I wrote a book about this experience I started getting calls from all over the world saying you know this changed my life as well and so that's when I wrote a book proof of angels and wanted to share my story I love stories like that because it does it renews a lot of people's faith right it's a crazy deal I appreciate officers like you man I'll tell you something else too because a lot of police officers get a bad name you know because there's so much going on but there are a lot of great officers out there who do protect and save the community and you're one of them bless you man hey thank you very nicely hey folks welcome ah thanks for checking out my youtube channel don't forget to click here to subscribe to my channel that way you won't miss a single hot new video some really good stuff and then I want you to click here to see more clips from the show right now
