[Music] I'm showing you these designs because all of them are pitches that will make sure that you have a guaranteed success with your tarp so the key words for all of these pitches are sitting Heights full enclosure super stable shelters you cannot go wrong with any of these pitches [Music] if you're just starting out in tarp camping butyou need full enclosure and a super stable shelter this is the pitch I suggest you do it's a four-sided pyramid with the fronds being smaller than the back which is wider now that's okay because you sleep at the back and you have a lot of length for your head and your feet and in front there's still a lot of room for your gear also it's very easy to do it has a fixed floor plan and it has a fixed full length when you have the stakes in so nothing can go wrong with this pitch it's a great pitch also one of the advantages is that the full height is just so that it will fit your standard trekking pole which is a good thing [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] and that's the inside and as you can see if you want to if you wake up in the morning and there's no winds and the Sun is out it is really easy to create an optional awning seeing it in the morning it doesn't look so stealthy I'm sure that last night nobody saw me anyway it's still a superfood [Music] this is the lengthwise pyramids that I have a separate video one it's the best option if you're a very tall guy [Music] [Music] [Music] and then there's this one the six sided pyramid I made this design specifically to have the strongest possible pyramid design that you could do with a three by three meter or ten by ten foot pipe but it is hard setup you need to practice this one a lot [Music] [Music] [Music] you [Music] [Music] [Music] you have a pitch that has very good angles it has six stakeouts so all panels are very strong and support it and on top of that it had four these leftover triangles and you can either take them out even further so you get ultimate strength or if the floor is hard for staking or you've run out of stake you can file snow or rocks on there this is a strong shelter that's what it's for [Music] and it's still so big that you can fit two big guys in there [Music] you look at the sky and involuntarily you ask upon the mercy of several Old Norse gods you have a family of four to protect from the weather and all you have is a three by three metre tarp this just could save you what we're looking at is the star tent it's an official pitch but apparently everybody has forgotten all about it but I find it huge very storm proof it has no sitting light that's not what it's for it's for an emergency you have a very big footprint you can stuff a lot of stuff on there there including all your children and you'll be safe from the storm because it's very stable also it very much looks like that other tent that has star in the name and it's very popular right now one cool thing about this pitch that you can keep it closed on all four sides if you want to but if you if you need to you can put a small pole up in the front and you have an easier entry and exit point [Music] [Music] and this is of course the triangular pyramid it gets a lot of attention and there's a lot of videos on YouTube on this pitch so I won't go into much detail this is my least favorite it's pretty high it has three large panels they catch a lot of wind but the main disadvantage is that the pole that you need in the middle is higher than your standard trekking pole also I am too tall to fit inside because of the triangular footprint of dispense the the space inside is not very optimal but it still is a good pitch it's very easy to do it only takes three stakes one stake so that's a definite plus for this one and you have a lot more tiles options along the parameter and if you want to you can do to mid panel tiles [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so guys thanks for watching I hope you enjoyed these and I do hope you all agree with me that going pyramid fully-enclosed is the way to go in serious three season conditions and that these offer you the ticket to take your three by three meter tarp in two circumstances that you hadn't thought of before thanks for watching this was Papa hiker see you
