I watched this movie for the first time last night before watching the KC and I liked it. However, I am not a fan of movies using real life footage for shock value. I just don't like it, doesn't matter the movie, the genre or what the footage is.
Also, there's an odd story telling choice in the KKK segment where Duke walks into the room and we see one or two of the dolls on the wall have gone. He goes into the hall but isn't attacked by them, instead, the original doll goes for him. I think it gives away the other puppets leaving the painting far too early. He could have heard a noise, went into the hall, got attacked then ran back into his office. As it is, we know what's going to happen because we have already seen that a couple other dolls have left, so that big reveal that they've all left didn't hit me as it should have. Ah well, I've never made a movie, so, what do I know? :)
Not gonna lie, probably my favorite horror anthology. Yes, even more than your beloved Creepshow & Trick r Treat.
Man, I remember the poster for this scaring the hell out of me back in the day.
Also, the man mentioned Creepshow, which means get ready for all of those requests. XD
