just not sick of it yet huh I had all weekend you want to show them what you did to the other trailer you and Jordan yeah it's right there look at it he's so proud shiny he's so proud so the they the decided to polish this since this rail was new last summer um they polished that polish the rims polish rims on the semi polish the back you out did yourself the front the front the only thing we did not do was the hopper that's that's too much skill though needed how long did it take you when did I start Monday afternoon I think it was like 3 days and I finished Friday it was kind of and off work I think it was 3 days that you guys spent on it three full days but it looks so nice and now he's attack the belly dump yeah I don't know why I did this well I have something to show you guys and it's what I hope to be the final fix for this it's back it's been totally refabbed let me show you what what the guy did we're going with bolts this time instead of uh welding so the hitch originally it broke off at the front so then they a different Fab shop that was too busy to work on it again uh cut cut it all apart welded this on fixed that problem but then we couldn't weld the back bushing on to here so then anytime we'd pull it' just rip it off so I took it to him and told them what we are experiencing and he totally cut this apart again got a new shaft drilled holes through it two of them once this is slid in and then this collar is going to go on and then put bolts through it and hopefully that is the end of the problem like I said when I was in the field that it's going to be fixed this time and I can say that till it breaks but he's fairly confident that this is the end of this issue Hammer pliers it's a dual purpose tool come on she's snug so we're going to use these are grade eight bolts it's what he told me to use so hopefully I got the right length it wouldn't it be my luck that apparently the holes are not drilled properly or perfect and I put the collar on the the wrong way so now I got to beat it all back apart sweet she just will not quit fighting it's not lining up Jordan what what not we might have to Fab we're tight but our holes are just they're just not we're going to have to strave some off of there I think she's snug suppose they don't want slop did he have the measurement I gave him the measurement no to this yeah yeah maybe I measured it wrong yeah that's what I'm saying maybe our tape measures were different they could be maybe you had a Milwaukee and he had to Wal make perfect sense you want to do this for me nope I have to somehow cut off just a little so what's happening is this is too wide and it's hitting so I can't put my bolts through so we need to shave off just a little bit and that's where the trouble's going to be is the Shaving this isn't wood this ain't Lumber keeping this blade through is going to be nearly impossible slow slow and steady he going to be the name of this [Music] game you going to you may not going to believe this Jordan it's straight I can put my fingers on on that I love this saw granted I'm sure that took some life off of it somewhat straight yeah you got to wash or no yep that was a really nice clean cut sad part is that was my one and only chance to make this work without the side grinder because I'll never be able to take off just a blades with I always got to take more than a blade or else it cheats and don't straight and then you lose teeth and possibly eyes so you just don't do that we're idiots dumb there's four different ways that can go on not two look it only took the part I cut off is actually towards the back cuz it was backwards plus turn night why would you get mark it with the paint marker when you got done with it nice Cut wow it was nice does that fit on there for the record that came off the opposite side so we just made a shim wow look at how nice that goes together it's going to work once again the 5 minute job turned into a 45 minute job maintaining already can you over grease you brought an empty one out unreal unreal wow here 18th trip to the everything else it's nice that it it rained a/ in and now we're going to mud puddle to work in the weather is not nice outside but it's a project that we have and I want done before Spring so we did get some meters for meters gauge call us a gauge Brody meter gauge gauge for all of our diesel fuel tanks which I talked about in a previous video when me and Brody were measuring that so they're here and we're trying to install them and it's cold and it's misting now so these are they're going to screw in the top of the tank float goes on them and then it tells you the inches and the feet we're probably not going to get into the the the double digits but then you take your chart which we have because we've been previously sticking a stick in there and we know the dimensions calculating that know how many gallons are in the tank so we are in the midst of installing this the only thing that'll make this project better is when the light goes out cuz of the solar eclip and then we get to do it with the flashlights yeah good thing screw driver up there here you go Jordan here you go Jordan I think it just went over the eclipse is happening can't see I tried staring now I'm blind it's seriously is being half covered right now wow it's going to be pitch black any minute are blinded it's getting brighter outside is it done it must be over find your threads there it is so on this tank this used to be an old LP tank then it went to an hydris and now it's diesel fuel so the vent pipe that one down there that 90s over used to be here you swapped it to put a gauge here for fuel level because I was told that the float doesn't like when you're filling it and directly below that Port is right where the tank gets filled so we have moved it or these two guys have moved it too far that way too far to the West got to go another Circle I don't think I can now it'll be right towards this tank and no one will see it which one do I start with so now we have to calibrate it you dipped this you dipped it so we got to find where the fuel level is off the bottom that's what I did and then we calibrate this to know where our starting point is you think I start with inches this is quite simple to be honest with you 77 ft uhoh why' it do that is that the right I would say that's a 7t 10 it was 7t 10 and A2 can you go a half is it in the right window no no no I can't even see we're at 11 in and 7 and 1/2 or it's in between 7 and 8 and then we're at 1 wow that ain't right so we've got one tank out of three done so basically now you can see from the ground or with my eyes I can see you can't see through the camera but it's at 7 ft 10 and 1/2 Ines as the tank lowers it's going to count down and then you take math or slide sheet say I got 7' 4 in or whatever number is in here calculate it by the size of the tank we know how much is in here we know how much it holds then we can know how much we need to order vice versa just like your gas tank on your vehicle so if you have any any interest in something like that or really anything on Farm cm.com banjo nice wouldn't it all right I'm ready so this Tank's got a nice one in the middle they did that one that's the one that the excavator I believe busted off so you said things weren't so nice up there no that was not good I can only imagine it's on there though warm it wasn't the Gage's fault it was dougo's fault with the excavator and moving that tank once and I think it all come crashing down and destroyed everything someone's been on this before are your uh are your knees sore I don't have that problem normally it's been remodeled yeah might have try this Square Edge should have my gloves [Music] on yeah oh it wasn't even tight yeah I can just slide back and fourth babies absorb all the blow it's red it better be red all right now we got to dip our tank to determine the level only the best I'm going to be so glad when we never have to do this again this is every time we order fuel got to climb up here do this it's at the dead center bottom looks perfect looks pretty straight known in this industry is the DCB dead center bottom I got it I got it 86 why are you in the way see I wasn't allowed to touch any of these components because you want to tell them what I did cuz you did touch one I did touch one and we had to tear the whole thing apart and rewire the spool I was pulling on the cable which it says an a little red tag that's on the cable do not pull and jerk and it unspooled everything and then they spent and how long it was a decent amount of time cut into my lunch break actually yeah but they fixed it how many times you want me to go around that is that's more than enough feed her in deploying ready yep look guys they're letting me touch it [Laughter] again we good yeah all I did was you push the wheel to the left so it isn't engaged in the gear and then you can spin that wherever you want and we did zero seven roughly 2 in I can get you the lens double check I'm chicken winged wow not even close I got to move up my seven and my zero there just something about taking a nap on top of a tank after a solar eclipse just truly remarkable things we get to do in our lives wow that turned out nice I like that one it's the best one yet quit jerking it that project went way better than I expected it to I thought them plugs were going to be like well who knows when the last time they've been out I thought they were going to be so seized in there it went pretty good and what's been a problem for years is now fixed the Beast is out I know you missed her I don't miss that Beast it is significantly annoying all I need is to clean out the cab she's ready until we pull it outside and blow some uh hoses my open well first things first with this machine is when you pull it out of the shed for the first time in the season you unfold it you run the fan you run as many hydraulic functions as you can because if there's one rub through on the hydraulic hoses and then it sits even even though it's washed that fertilizer dust just Heats through the hydraulic hose you definitely don't want it to blow inside the shop till you run it and you prefer it to blow up here rather than somewhere in the middle of a field where you can't get at it to work so far so good one last final check yeah I hope this all is onun the uh conveyor belts and if nothing blows there we should be good to get to the first field I got to remember how to run the screen too okay then that green button there it is and then I think we push one of those buttons all right test the air clutches that's your boat what wow has been used since last spring and everything's working it's great when stuff works yeah well honestly I'm very pleased and surprised but hoses are good it even connected the GPS that can be challenging sometimes to get that to connect but it decided to after 15 minutes we were just about ready to call somebody well it was uh fully serviced ooh fuel filters might be something guess it wasn't fully serviced it was oil change last season and got 90 hours on it so we should be good there fuel filters are for from 21 Eric should maybe check that 4486 hours 4486 yeah and there's 4694 on there so they've got 200 that don't sound too bad to me either we run our quads to 5 600 we should be fine looks good if the steering ever gets kind of wonky on this it's known to blow hydraulic hoses up here somewhere first field I went to that one year and I like God I'm steering this thing like way more than I ever remember needing to and then I got out and looked and it was just pouring oil out from under the cab all right well I'll be sure to pay attention it was field ready until we tried to service and then we've gone backwards tried to go a step ahead and we've gone three steps back this just ain't our day guess I have a reason to come in tomorrow now so we were trying to adjust the belts here that run the fertilizer to the back and regulate that flow and rust has taken place naturally tensioning bolt which is right here that sits inside this housing of course naturally on the inside is more rusted cuz he can't wash it is good and we put a little bit too much power in and it's now missing this piece Roy can you weld this back together unfortunately not well you're going to try yeah see see me pulling on it like this didn't break it but when we put two together and then I put my elbow on it that's where that came apart it's a trophy for you no I was under be mad every I was underneath there watching the whole thing because first it rounded off the housing so we shoved the screwdriver in there to keep it from turning once it rounded off we should have just quit and said it's good enough for the season but of course we've got to be perfectionists and have it just in top tip top shape I'm thinking we're just going to put lay a big bead in there hopefully the heat then loosens the rust but that's tomorrow's project what you have no hope what I'm hoping that the heat doesn't get into the bearing and then ruin the bearing but we're already up a creek without a paddle so if we wreck more it's just collateral damage at this point yes it is just hurt ourselves more what not well now that we
