Switching Out

hey everyone welcome to acres of clay for those of you that are new to my channel i am rhonda uh last night we were blessed with some rain actually it was really early this morning we have been so dry that some of the hay ground is starting to burn up um hopefully there's a good amount of first cutting hay um once we start mowing which will probably be next week or so but anyways we did get about an inch of rain i have two rain gauges i'm not sure either of them are very accurate one might have a crack in it that one said six tenths the other one that i had by the garden said an inch so between six tenths and an inch of rain which is a really good soaking and uh yeah so now it's sunny today the wind is blowing the guys are working in the shop since uh they can't really do anything in the field today um so they're changing out tires and who knows what else [Music] i'll bring you over there and show you what's going on also pretty soon kevin's gonna let the dry cows out to the pasture they can always go out to pasture it's just that they're going to go in a new pasture today so maybe i'll show you that as well what a great slide hammer that was my christmas gift to kevin for christmas it was that new slide hammer very practical the other one was bro so ethan what's the tire from the lawnmower what happened what there's a screw in it right on the top of the truck oh does it have a tube in it wow limber need help you need help what were you just doing i know but why why was it off we took the uh that off to take the fan off put the new ac belt on a belt yeah oh it's gonna take everything off lovely we've had some pretty warm days here that are unseasonably warm the last few days upper 80s almost did we ever reach 90 we didn't quite reach 90 but it just reminded us that the guys like to have air in this tractor otherwise you're sitting in a sauna sauna an oven but what are you doing now so why do we have to access the the ac has a clog we gotta figure out where and that on the roof it's gonna show you well this is where half the system is oh you can tell we never washed the roof who looks up here [Music] ethan why do you do that because that's what she gotta do oh he's plugging it with an inside plug and then they're going to put a tube inside of that inside the tire this has got this wire that's trying to poke through here let me see it this is the plug you put a wire through it okay hello a little worried hope it holds i don't want to break it because then it would be my fault for an advice yes you got some oh that's no fun yeah plan see [Music] huh i'll just hold this so what'd we find out uh there's a suction side plug so there's a plug is there any way to figure out how to get it unplugged yeah there we go yeah i guess check the other there's one more we gotta get the freon out oh that's what you're working on i should just let it go how much of the can five dollars again what this tire had a screw in it so we plugged it put a tube in it now he's just putting back together now get ready for mowing dry hay yeah first cotton is coming up changes to the new volvo that we purchased this volvo when we purchased it it has four of these super singles it came with four super singles so we're not going to keep the super singles on because from what we've already experienced just going up hills and things in the field it spins out and you can't really do anything so if we were to take it in any type of mud most likely it wouldn't do very well so we're taking the super singles off and we're replacing them with regular drive tires but what we're doing is taking off the first the front steer tires because those have aluminum rims we're gonna put steel rims in the front so we can have matching aluminum rims in the back so just swapping tires is pretty much what we're doing wow there we go i got the first steel one on and we just gotta air it up today we're uh taking off the 445 550 225 because a lot a lot of people don't like the super singles and i was not a big fan of them either because if you ever have a flat tire you only got one and you're done so and they're expensive to replace so just wait on that ethan i wanted to paint the center again that was scratched up so we're going to put on these uh 295 75 22.5 they're the same looks like they're the same height but uh we have a really good supply of these for cheap so we're going to switch out and that's what we're working on now so we just got a bunch of rain we got what right an inch close to this so it's a little bit muddy here but oh well yeah oh wow we're thankful for the rain is that how you do that it's a proper use of tools oh and then you do that work and then we get under right under that because that is the perfect spot for it not to fall off really yeah i don't know that i would do that i would all right then up we go what would you do that ethan it's slipping [Music] oh wow plus they're harder to handle yeah no i gotta measure something all right seven inches eight inches okay so they're one inch offset those look like pretty good tires though yeah they are those yeah the super singles i know so what are you going to do with them sell them with the rim yes 5 000 oh wow want me to take the bottom what is that so they don't bond for one another i have video of us changing out these drive tires um and
