Super Mario Odyssey - Gameplay Walkthrough Part 8 - Seaside Kingdom! (Nintendo Switch)

let's see what happens boom oh wow the court came flying off Oh hit him in the head oh he's not gonna be happy about that [Music] what's up guys zac Scott here playing super mario odyssey and last time you checked in we raced in the snow Kingdom we got a ton of power moons and now we're gonna bring it to the seaside Kingdom and see what we can find and we're gonna land the Odyssey there and have some fun as we kick off today's episode I want to thank you guys so much for your support on this series the first episode nearly has them 2 billion views in just a few days all thanks you guys leaving over 19,000 likes I'll let you guys know for sure when it is over a million you've been phenomenal let's travel to seaside Kingdom see if we get the salty ocean sea breeze blow in our face and relax a little bit right I doubt they'll be some relaxing we'll see though we're gonna get power moods we're gonna get whatever purple coins they offer here we're gonna switch into some new gear as well so they're serving frost frosted cake at the wedding are they not if we serve them a defeat first seeing as how we've got some time to kill let me know there's no useful skill you don't teach me anything anymore I've learned it on my own alright but we understand ok well there it is let's read up on the seaside Kingdom there's a carbonated sea that's supposed to be quite nice and it says here to be sure we visit the four giant fountains alright well we will visit those four giant fountains and seaside Kingdom we are experiencing a ton of new different places here in Super Mario Odyssey and each one is unique and amazing so here we go but Blaine the Blaine seaside Kingdom here we go that's a soda soda lotion is that what they said the glass is half empty or is it half full what is that fizzy related to DJ Octavio anyway oh what's on top of the fancy goblet you tell me let's go talk it's a mic am i hot here cuz I'm wearing like snow gear it looks like it's pretty stuffy okay hello snails can I be you I can't that's okay escargot but Blaine used to be a beautiful resort until that foul creature showed up he's just drinking everything just look at him guzzling all of our treasured Sparkle water come on you help us put a stop to him I guess I'll have to write some of us saved some of us you tentacled scoundrel Oh save some for us sorry I misread that save some for su tentacled scoundrel what a scoundrel over there let's go see what this is over here I see I see this whatever this is that's just a heart and there's typical yellow coins alright so hopefully there's some pirate goombas over there okay so what do we need to do look there's one of those purple dinosaurs is that crazy cap over there that's interesting let's see this fizzy water does make me thirsty alright uh oh yeah hey let's use this to look look Bowser's prince which way did it go I don't know we'll find him eventually I'm sure of it wow look around the glass is half empty it's over there the if only I had some flowers to water and care for let me guess to fully enjoy the pleasures of bub Blaine you must wear clothes you can entirely relax and you're not dressed for their hard relaxing resort life at all you may not come in so I'll need to find coins and then talk to you know the crazies that weave their shells I found they remind me of mac and cheese shells so I'm kind of hungry now that the soda is making me thirsty the shells are making me hungry volleyball court but I guess someone's playing right now this is interesting all right hey guys hello I just want to see what you guys are on the back you probably buy a moon there's always the buy a moon option which is really cool it's only 100 coins it's worth it so yeah they do sell the purple coins here there we go purple moons here sorry all right uh so yeah hi this is something again isn't it what the heck is this I made it here what the heck is this place is it I'm supposed to do it is there like a better way to jump what the heck what am I looking at whoa what even am i I'm like okay I'm one of these squids or something [Music] okay okay hold on these guys have any limits my oh yeah my bubble will run out soon I think all right this is an interesting little feature do I can I find these in the ocean or something or [Music] all right you're refilled [Music] no no man I missed the top one I got this one so fly through the knee I don't know how we get the top one now I want oh he's gone I wonder if I could have just gone straight up I wonder if I can get those guys somehow four four other oh wait hold on there's just a bunch of coins here nice alright again there's a lot of exploration that you can do in this game I'm not gonna get every single moon here on my first go through but we will eventually be back here to find some more this game is gonna you know you're definitely gonna win on 100% complete this game absolutely without a doubt in my mind it's gonna be one of those things that is just you're just gonna want to okay so found that I was interesting enough right oh no no so we've already messed up messed up oh here we go it sounds like pop rocks in my ears all right let's swim let's go get some more coins because I'm gonna want to look nice alright there's some more just kind of hanging out here that's good excuse me now I don't think this particular fish guy needs any sort of uh look okay great I'm back in how do you how do you sink dive there we go I got 12 been doing pretty good with this right looking for more Purple's you know what I'm saying I'm like a fish out of water and right after this I'm gonna have enough to get whatever gear I want all right great what's up to climb the lighthouse you must first dive down into this underwater tunnel all right that sounds exciting after this I will only a fish can make it all the way okay well let me go find a fish then right this sounds exactly like what I need to do hold on here the checkpoint over here again checkpoints are crucial all right come here you're a fish you sure look like a fish you're my kind of fish now what oh darn Amos notice that that's okay I mean they're following me these things are following me give me that heart what the heck these purple ones I mean they stand out so well in this in this stage I already have 21 and look even more just down here let's dive down I already have 20 Meredith oh wow they're a hundred here oh wow okay so that I didn't realize let's go talk to the crazy cap guy though really quick since he's right here hey where'd he go okay he's on the move he's mobile hey want to talk to me hey it's me ever plunged up the fountains wasn't messing around alright well let's hold on some more here oh there's a moon right under him I'll hit the I'll get the one under your belly it's probably tickles right now excuse me got it you got a moon mercy dory alright so with that said I'm like a fish all the time right now okay hi wanna chat we chat for a bit to talk to this guy okay hold on hi welcome aboard alright so I can actually get the resort outfit I mean set Resort probably because I mean as sailors is not a relaxation outfit although I do want to get it eventually I'll go in and get the resort outfit because I need to get into that area so confirm sure that's the one I wanted you're welcome change now and then this right here bye you're welcome change now alright so I will return again it'll just take some time because first we need to go look around whoo-hoo oh and you know what come here ow you are not my friend here we go I'm wondering now this is exactly what I need for that area here we go and I can skip over this area can I can I dive with this I don't even know can you can you go under I can do this though right get out of the way I'll enter the checkpoint over here all right nice all right wonderful so uh was it over [Music] it was awesome I'm getting so many things so I was over here earlier right and now this was definitely I think this was definitely something yeah I think this is exactly what I needed to do before and I just didn't realize it just look at that there we go I got a moon ride the jet stream [Music] all right that's wonderful all right let's just fall gracefully all right so that was definitely one mechanic that we know about so great the stage looks like it's gonna take some time glass palace yeah I'm gonna need that there we go so they want me to be a fish too I forget where the place was it was probably over there or was it I not be crap okay so I was gonna do this one first I think but I was gonna be a fish so I was gonna call upon my friendly fishermen that fish but all right so this one you know no no no there we go so you said only a fish can make this so now that I'm a fish all right wonderful let's go if only a fish can make this then so be it I will be a fish and hopefully I can make this right I'm no longer fish oh but there's there a fish down here okay I think we're gonna be fine this might be one of those stages that I just got to like come back to later cuz it's gonna be so crazy oh jeez oh jeez you know what I'm gonna forget about those coins right now oh geez oh geez which ways up this place up it's kind of a weird all right we're good we're good no okay we're still fine okay [Music] only a fish can make it huh I got 40 of these things so far all right I don't I don't care I don't care if I'm missing him it doesn't matter to me right now we're still doing great [Music] Wow let's go where the fish go just evaporated all right let's find holy cow I'm here though and I got a checkpoint at the Lighthouse so I got this and that guy over there is Gus lling all the soda so dumb anyway let's see what we got that breaks then we smash it right let's see what happens nailed it let's see what happens boom oh wow the cork came flying off Oh hit him in the head oh he's not gonna be happy about that now we try all you want I will never surrender to the delicious sparkle water oh man screw some hair did he put out more obstacles for me or something oh he's mad three fountains left let's hop to it indeed let's how do I get over that you know some of these I'm surely will be able to get if I just go straight up I didn't even think about it from this point of view but maybe that's how it would work I just need to find some of those fish things right where are they I don't know what they're called but I'm just saying maybe now here's one so will this guy solve all my problems what yeah this guy solves all of my problems pretty much got another one I'm just relaxing at this resort spot with stone pillars seal you got a moon you know I do excellent so now what happens huh that one breaks and I launch another court he probably throw some more dangerous stuff at me because he's just rude like that but let's just see what happens here we go take that oh sorry excellent work just two more fountains left so again you know I'm feeling pretty good about this that's that said I just I really don't know I want to see what this is over here and I might need to have that one of those fish guys where are they hey buddy I don't know what you are alright check this I need you to help me see what are these I'm a rocket oh my gosh I never used one of these before although I've seen them oh my goodness we are in a fog here basically ok this clears the fog a little bit I'm sure there are alternate routes here too like things that maybe would have missed hey-up this looks ok hi guys [Music] come on we're gonna pick up not me - me - I guess so well get them there's a pretty long journey back to make whoa all right so far so good I can I bet you anything there are alternate routes here it just seems like that would make sense right but if not you know yeah I think there would be I bet you anything but let's just go on the normal way we got a moon waiting in the clouds see so that's what those Rockets are all about now look there's something over there how would I go over there get that that's the real question that I have okay not like that Zack come on be a little more careful with yourself all right so what do you think would have to happen God to get me over there see Shirley look this looks like something right so let's just follow it again there it is it was a chest got another power move just like that sunken treasure in the cloud seat just like that SuperDuper easy let's take the rocket back I guess great where was it oh there it is you can kind of see through it wait oh my gosh I almost just jumped into the abyss all right good stuff good stuff good stuff we're gonna make it we're gonna make it we're gonna take the rocket ship back home who knows it might even be another one here I don't know I don't know if I would have a way of really knowing but hey let's let's go we're gonna launch whoa that was quick all right I just had to see what that was all about but to get the rest of the four fountains it's probably gonna be just fine oh hey we can go in here now that I looked relaxed right I mean the whole point to dress like this hey I'm one of you relaxers to enjoy to fully enjoy the pleasures of bub Lane you must wear clothes you can entirely relax and you have achieved the perfect ensemble for relaxation please enjoy yourself relax and enjoy what is this all about let's find out Oh grab this is a dance thing right care to dance all right we've done that we've done this before haven't we I don't remember who was dancing with us but this is a very relaxing tune we can get at least two more moons from The Fountains yes they put it over here got it a relaxing dance all right hey and I'm out so let's see what we can do next you know obviously I'm gonna oh there's a musical notes to follow this what do I need you know what no I need I need one of those fish to do it I know already what I need to do it so all right you're gonna help me this makes sense right go away I'm you know I'm here to stay here we go get ready oh okay it's totally messed it up I'm pretty sure this is what we need right come on we got this we got this we got this yes all right can't be sad about that that was great another moon taking notes ocean surface - all right so now there's one that's gonna blow up holy cow it's the evil music all about huh now how does one get up here how do it specifically on just one how do I get up there probably get away from us no I might oh wow I don't even know what's happening uh I got refreshed right here again I don't think I don't think I need him to get up there I think it's gone anyway what Wow did not see that coming so here we go hey time to relax with old Mario all right um so yeah I'm gonna try to go up here hold up there's something right here something right okay there's something even even better Oh God okay hi-ya-mu-nuh power man I get all my my health back the back Canyon excavate alright here we go little gold goombas now there's a seed and I know that some of these stages have these seed things where you bring the seed to the the pot or whatever and then they water it or something I'm not Amber's ensure we're gonna skip this part for now though this will be something that we'll do like kind of like in a future episode when we have to return all right some dangerous sounds here some buried this just sounds menacing here it's like the most menacing music and Mario yet okay I need a break person go yeah I think I could have maybe brought yeah oh yeah she wants to meet a Goomba she always want something like a really tall handsome Goomba I don't know that I can deliver I have a cutely - so many of these I can't believe they're offering a hundred of these that's where they come from I guess [Music] here we go breaking everything wonderful checkpoints and a moon and then we're gonna pop the cork hit him in the head and I'll feel better about myself because I got to bully someone bigger than me so here we go where we gonna go where are we gonna go all right Capone popping that cork and boom right in the head using this he's gonna hold a grudge against me I can just tell you that then we gotta go over here and again I think the easiest thing to do would just be pick up on those fish monsters and then go for it but we got to just find the fish monster first all right and we know where they are they're over here this is this is me slimming this is what I do when I swim all right great all right excuse me got him getting the menacing sound is I mean here we go we're going for this I'm not even sure what I'm doing but sure this looks good right oh there's lava what the heck that's like the opposite of what I want all right oh yeah that's working out pretty well now I don't know how much I have to do well I'm gonna dry out no the water should be helpful why was the water more helpful than that I don't know the answer to that question he leave already have 58 of these things [Music] alright so I got I got a checkpoint we got to do more than it's either checkpoint you know I don't know how much that I have to clear out but all right here we go well oh sure even if we don't we still got the we still got the the power moon here the hot spring seal so that was great does the what there's a lob all clear I think the lava clears automatically after that I hope we put in so much work anything else down here oh there's some more coins I still get them while we are here it's my philosophy anyway but 61 all right things are looking great things are looking wonderful in fact and now we're going to pop the final cork and he's gonna love it gotcha and now we probably have to fight him he's mad great time to take back to Sparkle water I'll be amazing if we got something back all right so how do I fight this guy weird even go oh he's over there yeah so hey how you doing over there stop assaulting me how do I get him do you think I use these fish guys and hold on there's a chest here they're not see this before no I saw this before alright I don't know how we're gonna fight him oh no we need him thank you I don't know that we need him I'm just thinking in my head that maybe we need to maybe to cool off his head maybe that's kind of the point of the whole lava thing earlier all right hold on again I don't know I'm trying to cool off his head I don't even know if this is a strategy there it is oh great yeah perfect nailed it yes well okay surely that works he's probably coming back so I'm gonna go grab that heart way over there cuz why not I mean we'll probably need it now there we go hey don't don't spit water at me so now he's over there and I'm not so sure what the goal is gonna be now whoa I don't know if it's gonna be similar or the same or what but maybe oh wow the heck okay yeah he sure is moving away from me isn't he [Music] all right it's okay I'm not gonna know how to do this unless I said let's at least try spray him in the head first this is actually working what oh that was together oh they there's I got him for sure nice all right let's just try to leave for a second he's leaving hearts around here not that I need him but here we go whoa he's spitting out these shells now he'll I need to refresh my water hotels are pretty dangerous those ain't no Velveeta shells and cheese like Sheldon's death all right come on now come on now come on what all right we're gonna I thought we're gonna get him I thought we're gonna give it that time Wow he's going he's going all out on this we got him we got him I'm pretty sure we got him and he won top balancing whoa and out of his head exploded three moons and multi moon and look the sodas coming on here and filling it up I can't believe we've actually restored something usually when we come to these different kingdoms like the item is gone by the time we get here we're just like uh wish we could have made it earlier but we did something good Bowser wasn't involved with this one or maybe was I don't know and of course there still are a lot more power moons to get and a lot more coins purple coins but we are doing good here right now we have things things worked out pretty well and I'm just gonna relax no we did great that was fun yeah yeah my goodness what a pretty sunset and it's so nice the fountains in the sparkle water are back but it doesn't seem like Bowser's in this kingdom anymore shall we head to the next I guess so alright well again I I literally could not believe we actually pulled through with something like this look at this amazing place beautiful soda fountains and everything well let's cash in our power moon we're doing great here we go to see how many we got and again we have a lot like look there's even one right up there we are at currently 136 not super bad at all the honesty is powered up and so what are we gonna do let's see so next up what are our options on to the luncheon Kingdom Bowser can't run forever I think I tapped in to the lunching team two before so we'll definitely hit that up next time what I wanted to do really quick is now that I can do it as a dog what's gonna splint it looks as though we can get enough power moons what am i doing can you find something for me what is the point of a dog in this game okay whatever like I said I already see a power boom might as well pick it up since we saw it we're here we know right where it is and everything is happy again right here we go fantastic let me go I don't even know like hold on let's see can I travel those soda streams I mean these look really cool I don't think I can I was hoping I could but I don't think I can look up quickly we can get around to everything it's really awesome and even if you know we get hurt there you know you have to backtrack there I wonder how far I can go this way like how far into the ocean can I just go I think we hit an invisible wall that's okay so yeah there's gonna be a lot left to do once we make our return but I do want to stop by hello hi hi hi go away it's me Mario it'sa me Mario welcome aboard so um I could get a sticker I can get a glass Sanjar each glance in this jar filled with sand from the bubbling coast and evokes sunny scenes of carefree days at the beach is that true I don't know but I do kind of want a sailor hat and I can just get both of these suits so I'm gonna get them that's the one I wanted thank you change now shirt change now and then this one too sailor suit excellent excellent and then now I'm gonna sailor Mario so I look great Shirley let's see what he looks
