Super Mario 64 Randomizer by 360Chrism in 2:46:10 - GDQx 2019

yo what's up everyone how you doing so we're doing Maury 64 randomizer today and we want to do 120 star so for full transparency I'll be doing a 120 star run right now but if we don't meet the incentive before I hit 70 stars I'm out of here so you better get those donations in for the full 120 star on this seat I'm playing right now is random I've never played it before it was tested by author blue stone to make sure there's no impossible stars anywhere or gain crashes or something like that and then before we start maybe introduced the couch pretty quick simple flips I'm dark bad I don't know anything about this game there's number one fan boy thanks all right yeah and we're ready to start I'm using a tracker on a laptop on the side that basically I'll mark stuff so remember where each stage late to will explain what the randomizer does mid-run okay I'm good to go then all right three two one go I only have to mix up know the interest so there's two stages open from the very start and it's that's vanish cap and Bo Bo and I like opening vanish cap first just so the water is gone because if I find vanish cap right away I won't be able to exit it because there's water outside and I don't want to swim around in the mode I did not know that you didn't have to click the keys or at least I didn't remember it no yeah we don't need any keys Oh interest all the starters are open so as for what is random every level entrance is random there's like a 1-up alright first are easy like you know 119 the girl will be done in like you know 30 seconds so by that okay yeah stars coins enemies warp locations everything's random oh man that's not very good no I don't like that hm see isn't the stage for this alright what kind of seated all forgive me yeah quarry misery is a really weird one sometimes it's incredibly fast and sometimes you swim around for two minutes and can't find the last coin [Music] like now okay I might want to move a little closer to the TV actually not sure if the camera needs to be adjusted for that yeah you're fine you look beautiful okay thank you you alright - okay so I use a tracker that basically connects the stages in in loops so I know where everything leads to and if something is done like right now HM see you that led to the aquarium I mark that as red and it's I don't have to go back there anymore we're gonna go for the regular mountain flip into the loading zone so yeah that is actually a star I would go for so far every star I went for I would actually go for in 70 Starkey all right if you have any donations going can't really put anything out of it gotcha [Music] all right the star is a random I go for the star sometimes in seven he start to because it's the star spawns right next to you every time tiny huge island led to shifting if I make any mistakes tracking you guys gonna tell me about it nope okay you're on your own and we kept sort of the tough [Music] if you want to go for modern issues on just the loop because there's no more fast starts to go for 70 stars very stressful not even close how do you do is it nice that's pretty good all things considered so far say for example since we thank you since we don't need oh that was a spoke jump all right phone all the way I guess we don't need the key all the key doors are open so we just die yeah could you kill Bowser if you wanted to that yeah yeah you could know the true hundred percent of all right Phoebe age is probably the slowest stage and the whole game because there's so many doors and like rooms you'd have to go through and you can't really see any and unless you into them so I usually start with by checking the outside for a boss like this or and the open star there's one open star okay don't look at me smile he's got a big eye probably on the roof the basement it's always faster to go down to go yeah ghost hunt ears of pain you have to find five five boos and in the basta - and then still grab the start at random again but the things you need to complete the conditions are random so you should just aim wonder asleep and enemies enemies coins stars boxes every warp zones already if you think it's random it probably is [Music] okay so we've done we'll check the clock now and our flight opens like one more star so we'll just get another one in CCM and how does tops look like rainbow ride is a stage tick tock clock okay top top floor is perfect so basically since the top floor in vanilla is one state two stages and one secret stage it would be perfect and wouldn't require any extra travel if it's the same in randomizer so in this case tick tock clock is a secret stage but rainbow stage and rainbow ride are stages so we'd never have to like exit or travel upstairs extra and that's that's pretty good and then earlier when we discovered that HMC is the secret stage and shifting sand lands that's bad that means we have to exit from the bottom floor like a lot like 10 times but exiting is always better than traveling up the councillor [Music] [Applause] [Music] yeah this star is also like a little bit on the edge for 70s that I go for it sometimes just because the star spawns right next to you but the slide itself is very slow all right you got more donations are we had 120 yet we are almost there not quite though that we do have a $50 donation from cam 115 says hello first time donator here spawn in the one of those plane throws and they push you you first you get hit by that flame and then you fall down and get hit by that's lame and then you're dead so when I do 100 coins I'll make sure I have full HP going in in the volcano and TTM if I have the choice between star number 1 and any other star I go for star number 1 because that will enable the monkey on top of the mountain so has a little extra coins edit in in some stages for example example at Jolly Roger Bay has only 104 coins in the original but in randomized that I would mean a lot of coins which one out-of-bounds and make it impossible so they had it I'm not sure how many like there's like 120 total now so it's much nicer oh yeah something sometimes something spawns in here that's why I get the vanish kept to very though all other rooms before I jump in the basement because basement is that the slowest place can also do a little trickier look in the room okay I didn't see anything when I used first-person there's the boss camera doesn't turn on the roof it's it's all automatic so I have to wait for the slow camera turn alright we took us to buoys to go hopefully I don't have to go in the basement I did see a boo in the basement earlier but maybe it's one of the you're absolutely right there was one next to the star yeah that's the one that's the right one so the in original Mario 64 there's six boos and five of them are correct one of them is a bait I don't know why and in randomizer they've removed the sixth one oh that is that is the right one there's a red coin here great [Music] yeah the star is awful you gotta go all over them so the boss is completely random response yup the Ren's the boss is in a random location too nice and after that the star as well they believe the Red Coins bonner I don't know I wasn't paying attention for there I didn't see it downstairs that's all that it's all that matters really what is that shadow terrifying and then same again I'll check outside first is
