[Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] church that word may bring to mind the chapel where you hear the pastor preach the school gym where you attended youth group the place you go on sundays maybe even a service you watch online church is all these things but so much more it's not simply a building it's a body the body of christ made up of diverse members who share a single faith we all struggle but we all believe we all go through trials but we have hope that christ will return to his body his bride his people there are many buildings where believers meet but one true church where we affirm our faith in the one true god who calls those from every nation tribe people and language to join his family he calls us to meet together we come together to acknowledge god's presence and power in our lives confess our sins receive mercy hear the word proclaimed sing praise [Music] pray for peace remember christ's sacrifice bear one another's burdens and welcome all to this place of grace amidst loneliness and isolation the church is a beacon of hope a reminder of our need for god and for each other when we take time each week to worship we join ourselves to mountain there was there was a gentleman among the crowd large crowd and as jesus bible said looked in the crowd that man who had a particular need the neighbors he had one son [Music] and epilepsy fits every time that sickness come upon him if he had no one around and fire was in the yard or somewhere or the well was there that thing would have actually thrown him inside of the pit or the the the the well or in the fire so he was pretty concerned for his son jesus caught his eyes looking at him and realized that his need was a special need [Music] specialty maybe somebody's here on this altar this morning [Music] with a special need that same jesus you know that that same jesus at the foot of the mount of transfiguration who saw the man saw his need heal the man [Music] heal his spirit mentally emotionally and spiritually lord jesus christ a shout of praise glory to god almighty come on don't give him a half release that praise my brothers and sisters glory to god almighty [Music] wherever the blood reaches there is healing glory to god glory to god glory to god god can [Music] wherever you are now in your living room wherever you are this time and whether it is in your kitchen or wherever i want you to pause with us now as we look to the lord in prayer we're going to believe god god my son called me this morning and to say to the church thanks for praying his wife she was destined for her leg to be amputated and we prayed and the doctors are fully at work they have not amputated the leg i remember you praying dr jackson come stand with me come stand with me let us believe god together there is there's an awesome anointing oh santoria [Music] oh i sense that somebody even now as we speak is receiving divine healing in the name of jesus christ of nazareth be per nil but he will not have us in the name of jesus the devil thought he had us but jesus came and grabbed us and god has held us close he won't let us go don't let anybody put you in that state center your thoughts and your minds on the lord jesus christ because i found out that there's not a friend like the lord jesus no not one only he knows about your troubles some things are happening to you can't tell nobody okay and tell your best friend okay and tell your husband but jesus knows and he's the one who keeps the secrets and he will talk to you personally and heal the broken hearts i'm so glad that jesus saves bread do not make anybody take away your praise still have your praise in spite of what's happening keep your prayers don't let anybody steal your joy because the joy of the lord is your strength and you can get through with that welcome in the presence of the lord this morning just turn to your neighbor you don't have to touch the neighbor not to say but just turn to somebody next to you and say welcome in the presence of the lord this morning come on tell somebody behind you or in front of you welcome in the presence of the lord this morning for those who are only begotten of the father we thank you for life this morning oh appreciative we are oh god to be alive and well we thank you god that you have raised us up this morning from our beds you have given us mobility you have given us the privilege oh god to walk to drive to ride to your house this morning your sanctuary for worship god we pray that this time you will him to us empty also god from all inbred sins and carnalities wash us afresh oh god the sacrifice that you requires of a broken and a contrived heart you say you will not despise as we bring ourselves to you this morning god we pray for your sanctifying power to cleanse us afresh make us meet for your use this morning god we stand in hell of you we stand in all of your glory great is your faithfulness oh god unto us majesty worship is majesty this morning god we honor you for who you are there is none like you all of the gods this morning are worthless are of no use they are creation of man's own hands carve out of wood they are your creation and man esteem them and make them gods but today we worship the true and living god the king of kings the lord of lords the conquering lion of the tribe of judah we heal you king jesus we hail your emanuel king of kings we we lord you over all this morning we are grateful that you are walking this morning we are not ashamed of of the gospel of god because it's the power of god unto salvation god as we come this prayer this morning we pray that the hearts of your people will be encouraged we come to the service station we come to the pattern the one who knows our thoughts are far off the one who knows our uprising and overdone sitting the one who understand why we are here this morning you know the urgency of our call you know the urgency of our crime you know the urgency of our situation and we come this morning god with great expectation because we know that you are the god of all resources everything god is in your hands you're available to us oh god so we pray that you will pour into the hearts and lives of your children this morning raise up the hands that are weak the knees that are feeble the high heads that are bowed on god we pray for reason of ourselves this morning let there be life for god speak life into some dead situation this morning and pray god that we will leave this house today energize oh god revitalize realizing god god you're not dead but you're alive and well and we can face our tomorrows because you live almighty god speak to us this morning speak to us this morning jesus lose your songs that will be sung use the word that will be coming forward the testimonies the exaltation the very music that shall be played god it will bless your heart and god you will in turn bless your children we wait expectantly oh god in your present this morning because we know that if we seek you we shall find you if we not god it shall be open if we ask it shall be given we pray that every person in the voice and the hearing of your voice this morning and this temple and those that listen us through the media i pray in the name of jesus that your voice will be audibly oh god speaking to your situation and circumstances made their circumstances may there be a shift in the atmosphere this morning and god strategically you will anoint strategically you will show up in a mighty way thank you bless us this morning father we wait upon you we put everything in your hand we are weak we are helpless there is no strength in us god will not even know what to say sometime are due sometime but our reliance are upon you you is our defense he is our shield and god is always there for us so we put this morning's worship in your hand and we pray for your supremacy oh god be evident this morning let your glory god be the lift of our heads oh god and we pray that revival will come spiritual revival physical revival the heal meant in the body melodies in the body god will hear your voice and shift out of the way god we pray like the woman who are the issue of blood god they are issues today we pray that virtue will leave you this morning and minister to someone's issue that god they will be able to rejoice and be glad thank you for all that he has already done and what you'll continue to do for the rest of this afternoon we give you thanks in jesus name amen let's give the lord a hand clap of praise right here we with brother jack so what i'm going to give them the lord have you for that ministry don't see it as just you're helping us seek as a minister and god is rewarding you and he's going to continue to i'm here [Music] [Music] this week i was in my devotions god led me to the book of joel sorry he didn't lead me to the book of jewell he led me to another book wasn't that one just how to get my man there's a lot of stuff going through my mind you have no idea how much is going through my mind i don't know if bishop is going to get a preacher who's going to get a preach because if there's one thing i've appreciated since i have met you in this house is that you allow the holy ghost to move i'm in so many churches where the holy spirit is stifled because they have a program but bishop i want you to know this morning how much we appreciate you giving the holy spirit the liberty and the freedom to do what he wants to do in the service human of god allow that i appreciate how you allow your people to flow in the spirit [Music] and you don't stifle and inhibit them but you allow them to develop and grow and mature and i'm sure there are times you sit with them and you guide them and you teach them and you instruct them but to be in a house where i know what i can feel and i can identify with the holy ghost my best friend [Music] to know that i've done nothing to deserve this this is incredible not one of us has done a thing to deserve this and yet he showers us with his grace and his mercy with his love and his compassion there are times i feel so embarrassed because of how much love he pours upon you and how we can be to him [Music] i was in the word this week and the lord led me to the you're the you're the theologian i don't know a lot of theology i know where to find what i'm looking for in the bible though i can tell you that because i've understood that the lord told me to hide his word in my heart on his reference but i was reading this week where joel was standing before the throne of god satan was standing next to him rightfully accusing him because his attire was filthy clothing and god got upset because there is a price that he has paid for us and this worthless spirit called satan accuses us every day all day long and god got upset and got up off the throne now let me tell you something when sovereignty is sitting it's one thing but when sovereignty stands up that's another [Applause] and god got upon his feet and he said the lord rebuked him [Music] i don't know what you're facing this morning i don't know what lighthead has been telling you i don't know what position he's been trying to put you in making you think that you are not worthy but in spite of the fact that justice demanded satisfaction death wanted payment for sin but mercy refused and love took my place there on the cross look at it fear [Music] i have no idea you said i'm gonna do whatever i i i want to do i don't know what i'm going to do i don't know what's going to happen next so i will be ready for it it's it's it's a risky thing to put a mic in the hands of a pentecostal preacher that is a risky thing to do it is even more risky to put a mic in my hands because you may not get it back until next sunday i was sitting back there this morning and and bishop morris and sister morris i was marveling at how good your eyesight is that you could look through this assembly and see all these different individual people and identify them and i don't know if you understand what that means i don't know if you understand what that means because i'm sitting up here and i can hardly make out a face [Music] but to to look in an audience and and pick out a person who's been away and i don't know i have that gift but this speaks of a component of care and love and oversight that you carry and i want to commend you as spiritual leaders in this house i want to honor you not because it's a form and a ritual not because you happen to be the bishop i'm honoring you both because of the care i see you exhibit in this house for the way you allow the holy spirit to use you and to use your people i want to tell you how deeply appreciative i am of having seen that and experienced it because i don't know i've really met your bishop a lot before and i know how we guard these pulpits because you have to be careful who you allow to stand here to release not just the word but the spirit they carry over the people see a lot of times we only watching the word that's preached but we don't observe the spirit that the person is carrying and before you know it that spirit spreads begins to create problems in the church that's why i was on my knees because i was begging god i said god when i get it from here please don't let me carry anything but your holy spirit assassinate whatever i have here on my knees that what the people receive will be your spirit not mine [Music] i cry easy i cry easy i'm a man but i'm a wise man [Music] foolish men don't cry but i've learned to cry because in the first seven eight years of my life i grew up with my mother who was a principal of a girls school so i grew up among girls for eight years and women girls cry they cry for nothing they cry when they're happy they cry on their side they cry when they're hurt they cry when they're not hurt you don't know what to do when a woman starts to cry just back up and let her cry and so i've learned to shed tears but what i feel in my heart right now is the gratitude [Music] his generosity is overwhelming how good he has been how he's blessed me and i don't know if you're so content taken up with the pandemic and the virus to forget how good god has been [Applause] last week our churches in barbados sat with the government to negotiate how many people will attend our services because we have had to return to six foot distance in protocols in spite of vaccinations [Music] i am not going to get into that subject because i feel strongly in certain directions and i will avoid anything that will bring divisiveness in the body of christ some of us feel one way and some of us feel another but what is required in the house of god is the respect one for another as to how we feel we should never allow any single thing that is raised in the government or in the world to bring division in the body of christ we must not allow it you feel one way i feel another but you're my brother you're my sister so take me by the hand together we will work until he comes there's no fool that can defeat us when we're walking side by side wherever it is wherever it is [Music] but i'm thankful to him his generosity is overwhelming i can't help but talk about it how he's kept my family he's preserved my family there's nothing more important to me than my family in this life save jesus christ nothing church is not more important to me jesus christ is and then comes my family and my family have come through not a graze they've come through a hurricane and they're fine and they're well and our homes are fine we've had to repair our homes and fix our homes but he's kept them i think of my son who's had to readjust his life my last son who prior to the pandemic was flying all over the caribbean doing different work for company in trinidad he was all over the caribbean well looked after and for the last several months he's not been able to move an inch and earn a dollar but yet god has provided for him [Applause] i think of my daughter pardon me if i talk a little bit about my family maybe we need to talk about her families a bit more in the house i think about my daughter who at the beginning of this pandemic had to go home but today she is a management person she was a management person in the hilton hotel in barbados and she still maintains her job to this day [Music] [Applause] a week and a half ago we buried the wife of one of the closest friends i have the man who owns simpson oil limited that you know of in this country he's my daughter's godfather and a couple of weeks ago we buried his wife in barbados my other son works with his company and to this day he is one of the few people that they did not release [Music] god has given him why am i sharing this with you because you may be seated in this house this morning up here and you may have been praying to god for years for this or for that but sometimes we forget that god doesn't always give us our blessings he gives our children and he rewards our children because of our dedication faithfulness i sat here with a joy in my heart to listen to this gift that was given to a lady who for 25 years am i right 25 some years enough years gay snacks snacks that many of us in this house would not consider to be a spiritual activity but jesus said when i was hungry you fed me when i was thirsty you gave me drink when i was naked you called me when i was in prison you visited me lord when did we do that to you [Music] you did that to me when you were feeding those children with those snacks in our virtual online service i'm sharing concerning christ's gifts to the church the apostle the prophet the evangelist the pastor teacher so that the saints of god can be equipped to do their own works of ministry and in so doing expand the body of christ and build it up it's not bishop's responsibility to bring people into the kingdom of god it's not sister maurice's responsibility to bring people into the kingdom of god that is yours their job is to equip you and empower you and from my time of visiting this house they have been doing that every one of us sitting in this house every one of us has a call of god and an ability provided by god to perform in his kingdom there are no idle people in the kingdom of god every single person is supposed to be occupied there are people that you will see this week but will not darken the doors of this church not even for a funeral but you will touch their lives and the last i checked bishop boris shepherds don't bear lambs sheep do shepherds don't bear lambs and i said this morning that the house is the place where people are discipled occasionally somebody may stumbling who doesn't know the lord and get saved but the house is the place where we are discipled where sheep are fed and nurtured and cared for and looked after so that when they leave they can bear lambs so that next time i come back to this country i expect to see this church bursting at the seas because the labs are being born the wonderful joy i've had in sharing with you and my time is drawing close to an end could be this month it could be next month i don't know i guess i'm a little bit like phillip i don't know where i'll be next they get snatched to somewhere else and just hope it's not not afghanistan i don't want to go there right now god knows that but i have been so deeply appreciative of the honor i have had to share with you from this pulpit and i thank you bishop and sister morris for the honor you have granted to me to share from this moment thank you one of the things i've identified with all of us your new testament and i am pentecostal i still haven't grappled with what that means because the last i checked in the word we are all one in christ jesus there's no jew there's no gentile there's no free there's no slave there's no new testament there's no pentecostal it's just one i don't carry a denominational tag somebody take it off me amen i just love being among the people of god and sharing what god has done with me and for me but as i have been in this house i have appreciated the liberty that i have felt where i am left to believe that you're not new testament [Music] but that you're more pentecostal reminds me of when i first came into a pentecostal church because i was an anglican i don't know if you all know what that is i don't know if you have angry guns in jamaica or in the cayman islands but i was a high church fellow i carried the cross i carry the lantern i i waved that thing that nearly killed everybody in the church every sunday morning i did all of that sang in the choir and then i got saved and went to one of these insane churches called pentecostals where people were doing all kinds of crazy stuff and talking in all kinds of strange language until one day in a school room in my secondary schooling upstairs at the back of our hall a wind blew through the window and i had dropped languages four forms before but all of a sudden i was talking in a language i didn't know and it scared me do that until one of my mentors she sat with me and she said ferdinand what has just happened to you is that you have just been baptized in the holy spirit i didn't know what that was [Music] but boy am i lying i got it and so today i thank god for what he's done with my life and through my life i thank him for the honor the privilege i have had to travel around the world and to share his gospel with thousands and thousands and thousands of people but to keep me on my knees and to on help me to understand son it's not you all you are is a vessel the power that you have is not yours i will never stand in a pulpit and prophesy to a person unless the holy spirit leads me to do that you don't come to me to be prophesied too because the gift is not my the office is not mine that belongs to the holy spirit that belongs to christ and if the lord leads us to prophesy if he leads us to heal if he leads us to speak a word into your life if he leads us to the word of knowledge if he leads us through discernment that is the gift of the holy spirit you don't decide whether you're going to do that i hear a lot of people that ain't going around prophesying over people's lives and because they're deciding to do that you don't do that it's not yours but we share commonality of faith we believe in the father who created all that is and we believe in the universe and all therein is his a loving heavenly father he yearned to save us all to lift us from the fall we believe i thank god for our commonality of faith [Music] we believe in the father who created all [Music] is his as a love in heavenly father he yearned to save us all change these things are sure we believe so if the mountains are cast down into the place when kingdoms all crumble this one remains our faith is not subject to the seasons [Music] believe the lord such a inspiring word and the god that has you know i sat there listening and thinking and i think that the pandemic has been more of a blessing than occurs it might sound away to you but the way how god has taken us through this spirit i believe we should really leave a spiritual our friend a special worship and said to the lord this is in thanks giving to how you have taken us through some of us didn't know that we would have lived oh god to make it true but he has been good oh god and so i'm gonna ask you to what should i call it now but they want to call it a new testament are a pentecostal going to be an unusual thing so i might just call upon somebody to sing a song so prepare as the lord according to the scriptures that we read this morning saint luke chapter 12 13 through 21 that this subject that the lord would have me to cheer on immense blunders that people make serious blunders that people made and this man that he spoke to me about he had a financial problem and wanted jesus to fix it so jesus told him that's not what i'm here for because jesus knew what was in his heart so he's if you see how many times in that passage he said i and i six times he used the word i so in his plan he made blunders and the first blunder that he made he planned for himself and in planning for himself he forgot his neighbor and the second thing is in his planning whatever he was fixing to do considering all that he was about to garner he forget the giver and in the last one he forgot about his soul he made serious plans for the future but he forgot about his soul thus saith the lord and i'm done in your planning remember your neighbor in your planning remember the giver and in your planning remember your soul one of many things that are happening to us today is especially in this virus stricken world is that the authorities forgot to remember that if they're called upon god you know the previous government the minister of health every morning before he made his um he would call upon the lord and never forget that you look at what is happening around the nations and what is happening to us here in the cayman islands don't forget to remember to call upon court and the court the jury recommend that they pay the company general motors p 4.9 million dollars because of the one mistake if we make that kind of a blunder in not remembering our god and where he brought us from we're going to pay high price the jewelry of heaven will find us guilty and the price is going to be high i'd like to submit to the government to hear this hear this mr premier mr governor if you make the mistake sirs of forgetting to remember the hand of god this island is going to pay high price serious blunders that people make thoughts said the lord father i have done that
