that you have promised us from the fourth foundation of the earth oh god almighty we pulled out the blessings of abraham that are always in the house this morning oh god we pray holy ghost that even as we are here and we have left our homes oh god that the holy spirit in this house will be so potent oh god that will affect the problems and the situations that we have left out of our homes oh god let somebody go home finding something changed finding something shifted in the name of jesus christ oh god come off in worship this morning hide us oh god where the floods of evil cannot reach us in your presence so god hide us lord where the schemes of evil cannot touch us oh god for it in your presence that's where we are strong we have come to worship we have come oh god breaking our alabaster mighty name of jesus bless the name of the lord if you found the scripture let me hear you say amen bless the lord and it reads thus now after the death of moses the servant of the lord it came to pass that the lord spake unto joshua the son of nun moses is minister saying moses my servant is dead now therefore arise go over this jordan thou and all these people unto the land which i do give them even to the children of israel every place that the soul of your foot shall tread upon that have i given unto you as i said unto moses from the wilderness and this lebanon even onto the great river the river euphrates all the land of the hittites and onto the great sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your coast there shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life as i was with moses so i will be with thee i will not fail thee nor forsake thee be strong and of a good courage for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land which i swear unto their fathers to give them only be thou strong and very courageous that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law which moses my servant commanded thee turn not from it to the right hand or to the left that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest this book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth but thou shalt meditate therein day and night that thou mayest observed to do according to all that is written therein for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thou shalt have good success have not i commanded thee be strong and of good courage be not afraid neither be thou dismayed for the lord thy god is with thee wither so ever thou goest then joshua commanded the officers of the people saying pass through the host and command the people saying prepare your victories for within three days you shall pass over this jordan to go in to possess the land which the lord your god giveth you to possess it and to the rubenites and to the goddess and to half the tribe of manesse spoke joshua saying remember the word which moses the servant of the lord commanded you saying the lord your god hath given you rest and have given you this land your wives your little ones and your cattle shall remain in the land which moses gave you on this side jordan but he shall pass before your brethren armed all the mighty men of valor and help them unto the lord have given your brethren rest as he has given you and they also have possessed the land which the lord your god giveth them then he shall return unto the land of your possession and enjoy it which moses the lord's servant gave you on this side of jordan toward the sun rising and the answer josh was saying all that though has commanded us we will do and with us however thou sendest us we will go according as we hearkened unto moses in all things so will we hearken unto thee only the lord thy god be with thee as he was with moses 18th and last whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandeth him he shall be put to death only be strong and of a good courage bless the name of the lord only be strong and of a and said bishop oh no this is too real you had to be on here that night i happened to be listening and bishop as i stand here i was about to kill a member of my family some family dispute i was about to take life and when i heard you eat brothers brothers sibling siblings settle it don't do it don't do it do not do it he said to me god intervene and i changed my mind just from listening to you [Music] the gentleman is here this morning but i don't want him to identify himself please don't stand because for many reasons don't just answer but he's here he was he had purposed in his hearts and you know that these things happen thank god for the holy ghost thank god for being an obedient servant i tell you sometimes a thing that's things that some of us do as pastors ministry engagement is not because we're totally up to it 100 sometimes you're weary you're tired you're weak you're almost filled but because we want to obey our heavenly father thank god we saved a life by the help of god son with me please everybody lord i feel in my spirits that the lord is your setting to bless everybody in ways you never dream god is moving by his spirits and we have a young man who's going to bring us a word this morning i spoke to it earlier god saved in this church grew up in this church i think he's now attending bible world institute preparing for graduation in october by the way minister dave was to speak to that later he loves the lord and he serves in the youth ministry now do not expect him to preach like me expect him to preach better than me okay expect him to preach better than me not like me not like mirage not like hanju not like neiltal like anybody just like himself and this is a big stage not easy i looked on facebook and youtube and we have thousands of people out there viewing the gathering before us is minuscule to that switch out there and that's only facebook youtube television internet instagram and all the others let's put our hands together god loves you have you ever stopped to think about how the mercy of god have kept you you dared to take your your firearm two weeks ago to kill yourself the mercy of god held you back yes he did you know you're gonna remember ah jesus glory yes you think about so many times of killing yourself so many ways the love of god snatches you from the jaws of death that is what god did for you oh father read today from joshua 1 to 18. but to deliver a little bit of context behind the message that i that are not that i think but i know that god have because it is not my words i take nothing for myself if it is up to me and my emotions i would not be here this morning i can give you that much i'll be maybe home watching online i'll be doing something else otherwise but because of the grace of god because of the mercy of god [Music] and i'll be reading just to give a bit of context i'll be reading from verses two to nine i'll be reading from the new king james version so you can just follow me i think you should be there already it says moses my servant is dead now there for our eyes and go over this jordan and all these people to the land which i am giving to them the children of israel every place that the soul of your foot will throw upon i have given you as i said to moses from the wilderness and this lebanon as far as the great river the river you face all the land of the have your seats with the few passage read and my undergirded text that i'll be using is verse nine i choose for a topic or a theme that you may call it keep here and give me courage yes repeat after me keep here and give me courage in other words keep your care but give me courage it's a normal culture in our context we have we have a we have a tendency when we're about to leave the company we're part part of the company of our family member our friends our loved one we are the popular first i would say little more don't we know it little more take care all right others may say later take here children they mean no arm there is no arm in it because by definition here is the provision of what is necessary for health welfare maintenance protection of someone or something amen it can also be defined as a serious attention or consideration applied to doing something correctly or to avoid damage or risk so to tell someone to keep their carer to take their cures almost as if it's almost as if you're assuming disrespectful to the person it is almost as if you know read me may i tell you if you take care of yourself you don't want to cure keep your cure but not just keep a cure but wild care is good we also need courage bishop but not just any courage what we need godly courage godly courage we need and by definition we can look at courage because i'm a educator by profession and i love to dissect and cut up and understand what certain things mean so let's do that a little bit may i have a permission to do that courage is the is the ability to do something that frightens one it's also seen as having the strength in the face of peeing our grief the quality of mind our spirit that enables a person to face difficulty danger peeing without fear and bravery in other words courage can also be substituted for boneless audacity valor but can you imagine all fortify with a sense of defense one can get when we had got the course that if we know what court really is fortified reinforced by the assurance of the lord's abiding presence so when i say keep your cheer and give me courage brothers and sisters take it not as an offense but we need the courage in these tough and challenging times in the midst of uncertainty danger being fear do i have any witness do i even witness do i have anyone that need godly coach this morning come on you're too silent i don't think so i think this may be a me alone i think it's maybe me alone and one two three four five fifteen percent up here nobody down here don't need coach because if they need girl court they would not be selling like this bishop they would not be silent like this one i think that i i must confess about myself is that the word of god really excites me i don't know about you but the word of god excites me one of the things that i love with the word of god is that it is instructive and although there are commands they should never be seen as a burden the word of god reminds us in second timothy 3 16 it says all scripture is inspired by god and is profitable for teaching for rebuking and for the correcting and training in righteousness which means it doesn't really matter our perspective on a particular world and as as insignificant as you are you may see that word is that intended word never change even if the word appears to be over exhausted and overused by one person it refreshes the soul of another one it is indeed with confidence that we can say that the reading and the exhortation are the hearing of god's word is indeed a time of refreshing i know i'm not on that promo sir but it's indeed a time of refreshing the world never bends in our flexes in our buckle too much to to match our feelings but it is there to strengthen our field so it is indeed when the psalm is declared that thy word is a lump on to my feet and a light unto my part it is a reality i give a little bit of context to the world that you'll be given today i take you to deuteronomy 31 1-8 when josh was about to take moses please and even though moses was about 120 years old it was not the age that prevented him from entering the promised land numbers 21 to 13 confirmed this moses was under a divine sentence due to his disobedience though shall not go over jordan which was a full stop to his usefulness he was he had served instances he served very well but here he has to stop here he goes no further moses was a great man and one of the greatest had ever worked the feast of the earth but moses was not irreplaceable god being with them israel was in good hands without without moses moses declared in that same passage he said the lord your god himself will cross over ahead of you he will destroy these nations before you and you will take possession of dear land joshua also will cross over you as the lord said but even though moses was never to go over to continue the journey he was anxious to encourage those that must go over there moses gave the israelites an exaltation that later became god's rolling call to joshua which was be strong and courageous he said joshua was never an ordinary assistant to moses as far back as numbers 27 verse 18 the lord said to moses he said take joshua the son of none a man whom the spirit of leadership and lay your hands upon him so that with great encouragement to the people when instead of useful instruments that are removed in rays of others to carry on the good work moses called joshua and said to him in the sight of israel in verse 7 not in joshua but in deuteronomy himself be strong and be of good courage another version of the bible reads be strong and courageous for you must go with these people into the land the lord so to give their fathers to them and you must divide it among their inheritance again in deuteronomy 31 verses 8 moses exalted and encouraged joshua that the lord himself goes before you i will be with you he will never leave and i forsake you do not be afraid do not be discouraged she will be told we can appreciate men like moses men like moses who encouraged is indeed a blessing moses knew that joshua might have been wavering sheer kill so he encouraged him and pushed him forward to more than what he thought he could be but the truth is that joshua was never new to battles he was never new to combats and encounters as he knew as far back in in joshua fought against the amalekites in the valley after repping him in exodus 17. so it begs the question so why did god have to remind joshua so many times of this command in joshua 1. three times three times the lord charged joshua to be strong courageous which is a reminiscent of joshua's earlier commission in under moses this instruction that joshua was getting they were not new but i believe i see what i believe i believe that joshua needed the strength and courage to accept the task just as though i am standing right up here right now i also believe that he was suffering off from what we would call that a self-mental defeat and many of you would call it a natural response you are given a task and and then you you feel the nerves and you feel like you want to go to the bathroom do i have any witness you start to sweat just like i'm sitting right now you feel very shaky because when you look on the task ahead of you it seems so heavy [Music] we find god telling him because god is not all is his physical disposition that god saw but god could i read him heart so in verse six and seven of the passage i'm telling him again let me tell him again be strong and courageous we find god telling him again in a more assertive tone in verse 9 he said have i not commanded you it's a god understood the human tendency to be afraid and discouraged you see the enemy doesn't really matter how far you are coming from he doesn't really understand what you have been through and the successes that you have at the end of other person you have plundered because he understood and know what god has planned for you so you may really care about other battles that you have built into what is looking forward is what is ahead the moment of the task that you have so you will try every matter with your sheer perform to discourage you to distract you [Applause] forgive me but i'll be playing a fool if i continue to if if you supposed to continue to live a life and looking in the rearview mirror it is good to review the past but we can't do it there we have to face forward moses my servant is dead now go and prepare move from the past move from beyond what you know not because it didn't work for someone else it doesn't mean it's not going to work for you stop holding on to the things that pass this was a statement of reality moses my servant is dead this is the word of god remind us in philippians 3 13 because the reality moses represents an iran our confidence of yesterday he said that we should forget the things which are behind and we should reach forward to those things which are ahead it's many of us our greatest challenge in moving forward and subjecting ourselves to god's word and command is that we tend to focus on others and what they were doing before then we have a tendency to defeat ourselves mentally because it did not work in their favor we translate those same fears to ourselves you have to move forward in order to possess in order to get what god promised you but again many of us are stuck in our state of not having godly courage so we need godly courage on this fear journey as godly courage provides vulnerable results i wanted the vulnerable results that god the courage helped us is conquering the enemy isn't that what the lord has been saying to you is not what he has been saying to you all this time the time when you are there feeling alone on your battles my time is saying 11 20 but you are sitting there in midnight you are sitting there in a dark state you know what it is that rubs you and and struck you at nighttime rub you off your sleep your peace you feel it more than all you can explain it you have conquered so many enemies on your life journey you have overcome several untold struggles the enemy doesn't really care where you're coming from because he knows where you are going you see god said he knows the plans he has for you even though god is the author at the finish of our faith it's because we're in the middle of the story it's as if we can't oversee and the enemy feel as if like you want to come in and disrupt that particular chapter so that you may feel discouraged but i'm here to remind you today that he promised i will never leave you now i forsake you for we are reminded in the book of isaiah isaiah 43 2-3 he said when you pass through the waters i will be with you and through the rivers they shall not overwhelm you he said when you walk through the fire you shall not be burned he said when the flame shall not consume you for i am the lord your god the holy one of israel your savior he said in isaiah again when the enemy comes in like a flood and many of us we are reading the scriptures around that scripture wrong he says when the enemy comes in it is like a flood he will raise up a standard we have seen where he has done it so many times even when the israelites were walking through the red sea the standard of god was raised up and haven't i commanded you to be strong and courageous do not be discouraged for i am with you wherever you go in these tough and challenging times when the heart of man is so deprived we need godly courage i don't know about you but it is just one week ago at sunday just like this a woman leave power fiat this church and she went home she was in the morning service she went home 11 o'clock she wake up her daughter and she said to her daughter look i have a breakfast for her juice coming from church poor feet she sat in one of these benches that you sat in right now and when our daughter made the break for us and commonly outside to have a discussion with her here come the enemy come over the fence and snatch the life out of the boat at them even when they ran the man went into the house the report said that they found the mother clutching the daughter we need godly god doesn't go to the door and your ain't with me i said we need god in the court just believe this please [Music] the word of god said we should be alert and so open-minded as the enemy protests around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour we need godly courage we say in joshua 10 24 to 25 where joshua was commanding his military his military captain to take out the kings take them out and put them down and we saw where joshua told them to put their foot upon the neck of the enemy a pause illustrating triumph we see in it we see this imagery called as time through the bible where the victor's feet are on the neck of the enemy as it is quite true that often times we fail to find words of encouragement in our daily life in the attempt to look for something positive we get a loss in our safe our own emotions and our negative feelings but as being our brother's keeper what if it is that we are supposed to encourage each other first thessalonians foreign first level said therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing inference this is five the apostle exhorted to his readers one of the many duties that we owe ourselves as well as to others the scripture remind us that we should not be careful about our own comfort and welfare but also to promote the comfort and welfare of others and this is what the thessalonians what we're hearing from paul he says as as you're already doing and this is what they were urged to continue to do and increase in doing so i'm saying to you when i see your brother and sister not just give him cheer alone encouraging might give him courage it's almost like you are planting a seed in that person and what is this what is the seed of encouragement what does that really look like it demonstrates that christ like character as jesus taught us that is better to give than to receive which activates god's principle of exceed that we see in luke 6 38 your words of encouragement not just be a seed but may just be the water to an already planted seed in other words your words may just be what is it needed to restore our strength to someone else's fear your words may very well be that strength to the feeble hand until the weakness as according to isaiah 35 verse 3 the words that you use in encouraging someone else may very well be that's what you needed to hear to overcome a particular obstacle we are reminded in hebrews 10 24 to 25 let us consider one another in order to provoke love and works not neglecting together together as some are in the habit of doing but encourage each other and all more as you see the d approaching here it is cm chapter chapter 10 24-25 joshua providing the same word of comfort god gave to him as far back as verse one what did he say to his commanders in the midst of the battle and the war and struggle him said to them say be strong and be of good courage and although joshua fought his enemy with a sword and shield we are not gonna fight find anybody a sword and shield for we shall not wrestle against flesh and blood what we shall wrestle against who who shall we wrestle against we shall conquer the enemy using the very command of god and godly courage this morning so we decree decree and declare triumph over trauma this morning and i say to you take godly courage not only god and courage give us the strength to conquer anybody give us a skill to get the job done amen it does we all know this positive scripture first samuel 17. we all know it i don't know who don't know it all if you're not a christian supposed to know that jesse are the eight sons where the three oldest sons followed south war and david was the youngest but david kept going back and forth to tsar to turn to his father flock flock bethlehem every morning and evening for 40 years this philistine would come out and took their stand yes we know the story david i'm gonna don't start bringing our memory to you know one day just told his son david to take some food to his brothers and hurry up to their camp imma also tell him to check on their well-being of your brothers and return with confirmation that they are well you say when something whenever when david go to the camp he started at israel and the philistines they were lined up in a formation facing each other being young and inquisitive as david was he was the king at that time young and inquisitive he left the supplies and and the care of the quartermaster run to the battle line and in the midst of the enquirer his brothers his own flesh and blood started to accuse him they must say my youth oh that's enough but we are to your sir you are enough of yourself you are youth [Music] but if it was sin but what we do what we do we just inquire and somehow while david was inquiring about the battle some of the men here and brought the new soul and saul went in front of david and david set us all don't let anyone discourage by him for your servant will go and fight this philistine here we find the man who them send a feet the part here he is encouraging saul the king saul turned to david and said you can't fight this palestine you are just a youth and he's been a warrior since you were young there's a point where goliath saw david in the bible i'm going to describe david i say you're a youth you're ready those are fear continents there's a time look like dog do i look like a dog to you all because david never looked as if he could get the job done what it is that the enemy is telling you this morning what it is that he's saying to you that you are not qualified to do this morning what it is that is saying to you that you don't load the part you don't have that posture what it is when the opposition our friends say that you are not qualified just like david is it that that scholarship that you have been hesitant for applying for yeah take god the courage and fill out that application form that mortgage application that is on your desk for so long that everybody is telling you that you're not working off take any courage and complete it they say they don't fit they don't look like it mush down that line and take godly courage and move forward and the times when we feel incompetent i will look at the task ahead of us we need godly courage sometimes the task is nine foot nine inches it wear brands and a helmet it wear skill of armor and the skill of armor is 125 pounds the towers could have been arm on his shins and a branch armor and his juggling godly courage allow you to step out of your peers and god accordingly you say you come against me with the sword and spear untraveling but i come against you in the name of the lord of armies the god of the ranks of israel you are defiled him today the lord will hand you over to me today i will strike you down remove your head and give the corpus the qualms to the philistines come the birds of the sky they shall feed on you this morning then the world will know the world will know that there is [Music] the world i said the world will know that there is a god of israel you are there sitting over there i feel like you're not good enough that this idea that i'm sitting on all along that song that i've been witnessing to your heart for so many times that much is a melody you see that and you feel like you feel discouraged like you don't want to write it your fear you feel as if that embarrasses something i'm saying to you take godly courage this morning and finish that sun composition take godly course this morning when you have doubt and hesitancy and apprehension hesitancy our movement in reality sometimes we know too much knowledge is good but sometimes knowledge cripples us when the word of god come to you say boy i'm in a team mechanic because of this and because of that so you know too much stop telling yourself that you're not qualified don't use the feeling of others to create a garment for yourself don't use the arm or the sword of the shield and a methodology that your counterpart used it don't fit you tell the neighbor that the garment don't fit you look at the neighbor i said don't size me up with the inadequacy of another person that garment don't fit me i'm going to clothe myself today with the armor of godly courage [Applause] don't find comfort in the luck and the fear of others you will be promoted once that is saying the two they're too young another set is saying that to all one sin is a two shot one say total then want to say your verb age or your linguistical problems are not good enough your verbality and the phrase really doesn't fit in the right context your present academic status is going to prove the enemy wrong god did not call to qualify but he qualified the call whatever you need for the task he will supply it you two years ago they came to you with an indecent proposal as they call it they ask you to act in a particular position the person that came to you tell you before you said no to go and go to god before it two years ago even the director that place looked at you and she said to you that if she had it her way you would not be there it has been two years and you are still there because you took godly courage and you did the task and you are still doing the task until your task is complete just as nehemiah nehemiah was just a cop bearer there was nothing in the bible said him no number construction he was a servant allah wanted to serve the king that's all he wanted to do that's all he wanted to do some of the time persons focus on the physical things too much but they don't understand that the world that you're ideal building back is a spiritual world and i'm saying to you take godly courage have confidence to know that if he appointed you best believe he has anointed you to get it done we need godly courage to give you the tools and skills to get that task done are you with me are you still with me i think you're too silent [Music] we just don't need godly courage for the enemy unfortunately skills get the skills to get the job done but we need it in the midst of persecution in acts chapter 4 the apostles began to face persecution for their works and teachings the sadducees were the religious rulers of the dear we know them they were angered and afraid of the miracles that the apostles were doing through jerusalem and there you are on your job you are working work as god has instructed you to do they know that you're a child of god in your family they know that you are converted and you know a christian but at the same time you have been punished for doing the right thing the religious leaders wanted to stop their puzzles from preaching they blamed the apostles from preaching in jesus name but he had no child to arrest them john and peter they prayed for boldness that their mouth would not be shot in spite of the odds that were stuck against them the criticism the persecution and the list goes on and as you have established earlier bullets can be substituted for courage they prayed for godly courage that they may not go quiet that they may not go silent similarly many of you can relate to many situations in life you have a tendency to your prayers things may come across that want to put a puddle up for your worship but these men understood if they shut their mouth it'll be more detrimental than if they speak a lot of person bishop they don't understand that the call of a believer is very high they think it's just the past that stand up here and deliver the world they think it's just the bishop alone are supposed to give the world but the rule of the believer is to warn god's people of his impending judgment against sin and occur to repentance so if you fear to carry out this sacred duty we will be held accountable and keeping silent is not an option how can you keep selling to the know how people can escape the impending judgment of god you have your title of bishop and you have the title of minister and exalt about your you don't have a title but you don't understand that would give an account for that title according to john 9 4 he said we must do what we must work the works of him not sent us while he's still able to do so for when a night come no man can work the greatest illustration and consequence for not sharing the gospel with those who perish come from ezekiel tree and ezekiel territory god stressed the personal responsibility of both the watchmen and those who heard the message of repentance that was to follow and there are many that stand in the pulpit to preach our word they come on the pulpit and then preach our word but not the word but woe unto you pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my past i said the lord you are standing the pulpit until my message that are not morally correct but because it feels good you have in these last years you have resulted to feel good messages rather than that message that surrounds absolute truth which is god respond to everything the reality is that even though the task is difficult many have compromised the fear to their own doxologies but the word of god declares it would be better for them not to have known the way of the righteous don't have known it and turn their backs on the sacred command that has passed unto them but for the ones that are feeling weary not the one that tying their own dark souls i'm here to remind you to take got the courage in the midst of that persecution it was jeremiah and jeremiah 20 in in the midst of his persecution there was one time in feast of frustrated im telling moon a celebration but jeremiah couldn't keep silent what did he say himself time he wanted to shut him out and feel the fire locked up in his bones and feel the fire locked up his bones he wanted to keep quiet he wanted to be silent he felt spiritually lynched do not let the enemy take your prayers take godly courage and press towards that mark and return silence to the enemy paul himself was persecuted because of his faith and knowing this he started to encourage timothy a spiritual son who knew who he knew that would come across similar challenges in second timothy 3 10-11 paul mentioned to timothy many occasions where he has been persecuted he told about antioch when paul was kicked out of the city for preaching the gospel in iconium paul was almost executed by stoning in lisa where they did stone him and leave him for dead and perhaps you you're in your christian journey and you feel like you've been verbally kicked for sharing the gospel you feel that you're being executed by sharp words for sharing the gospel maybe the actions and the slander of someone else's duty or faith that resulted in you being is like an emotion that's been stoned but notice a universal statement that was made in ii 2311 is that all who want to live a godly life in christ jesus will be persecuted not everyone will suffer to see him in the same way but because persecution comes in different forms the enemy feels like he knows something about your past some feelings like in a word to come on the prayers and worship team the enemy feel like you know something about the past you're not worthy to stand up here and preach but because they started walking with the lord i wanted to remind the enemy of his future with his eternal damnation any time the enemy tell you about your past and use godly courage and tell it to him because my bible tells me that there's no condemnation in god he will give you the strength when you are weary even a walk to the darkest valley he will defeat even or defeat ourselves mentally we need to renew and transfer our minds with god the courage [Music] and while i i boiled down and i quit and about to give our bishop the microphone i just want to close by saying to you you need gun accord for the sake of your deliverance for that box slider are that almost back slider yes you almost box that last night that you're here today you know yourself you failed to yield to the command of god in taking godly courage many of us have abandoned the love due to not taking godly courage i'm here to remind you that godly courage is redemptive it is accessible today at this very moment the others who are looking at the sideline and want to make that decision in coming to christ human courage has filled you the spirit of fear of embarrassing for far too long that critical decision that you're about to make are your current even make you're asking yourself is it worth it today is a day of liberation i know that he did hurt you i know that she hurt you the pain is unbearable as if like a phone is shut up in your chest but your deliverance shall come with godly courage by the saying i forgive you and forgive yourself first and foremost release from your heart godly courage will allow you to extend mercy for it is the word of god that declares in proverbs 3 24 it says mercy of your heart so that you may win favor in good name in the sight of god and man today you shall exchange what appears to be hurt pain defeat and shame with godly courage restore your peace and confidence with god and courage stand with me anybody feel as if they need god the gorgeous morning [Music] anyone who believed that they need god a gorgeous morning you have leaned on your own understanding for far too long more than ever oh god almighty as we are faced mighty god with so many issues of life we are bombarded from every side at home lord on the job on the road on the bus wherever we go that we are bombarded god almighty by the enemy and the adversary but lord you spoke to us to your word this morning to have courage oh god almighty you said it to joshua three times god almighty to have courage oh god so many times we have to re you have to remind us lord to tear courage because god sometimes we lose focus from you and begin to look at the situations of life and we're beginning to look at our adversaries and look at the situations look at the task oh it seems so great as high as god lie at god we send to lose courage our knees tend to buckle oh we tend to get butterflies in our stomach we begin to feel weak but god almighty have encouraged us to dear despite what is happening around us to tear courage because you promised to never leave us now foresee a cause but to be with us to the very end so god will take courage this afternoon in realizing god that we're not alone we are not alone you're with us every step of the way and sometimes are you even carrying us so we are never alone you promise never to leave us never to leave us alone so almighty god we tear courage this afternoon god will stand bold and declare your word oh god in the office at school wherever we are sometimes people say we are crazy then say we are fool we are foolish but lord help us to tear courage and stand up and declare i am a christian and i stand for god and nothing you say will ever allow me to back off because i stand for god and for god i live and forget i shall die hallelujah thank you jesus god almighty thank you thank you oh god almighty for anointing our head retired this afternoon for imparting us the spirit of courage god almighty that we will stand amidst every obstacle stand amidst every endurance stand amidst every adversary god almighty we will run through our information minister stevenson please this is a message from his worship mayor of portmore city municipality in regards to uh earthquake awareness and you need to know what's happening go ahead please thank you sir it regards earthquake awareness month message from his worship leon thomas may of baltimore city municipality january 11 to march 31 2021 has been designated for the national earthquake and tsunami awareness campaign the campaign is being observed under the theme reimagining earthquake safety to build resilience in keeping with this year's theme the baltimore city municipality will be using its website and various social media platforms to educate and increase knowledge of the portmore residents on earthquake hazard preparedness and response as we continue to respond to covet 19 pandemic although not often felt the earthquake unit at the university of the west indies has recorded dozens of measurable earthquakes for the year 2020 there were a total of 701 recorded events with 18 being felt locally of which six of those 18 were felt in the parish of saint catherine three of those earthquakes that occurred in 2020 are still vivid in our minds the january 28th with med which measured 7.7 august 26 measured 4.5 and june 26 measured 3.5 and had an epicenter of 15 kilometers southeast of helshare and a depth of 13.7 kilometers these quakes sent a number of people including students into shock as many had never felt an earthquake before they are strong reminders of our risk to earthquake and that we should always be prepared as they do happen suddenly and sometimes violently without warning at any time the portmore city municipality is cognizant of our risk and as such make public awareness and preparedness our number one priority because whilst we cannot prevent an earthquake we can minimize the impact as part of our preparedness the council has recently revised this comprehensive disaster risk management plan with earthquake hazard being one of its focus this revision was done under a caribbean development bank funded project over the years we have conducted drills and engaged schools churches community groups and special vulnerable population or senior citizens and persons with disability in public awareness programs we urge every citizen to take a personal responsibility to prepare yourself and your family by securing your property develop a family plan and conduct drills especially if you have children and always have disaster supplies in place this year's initiatives will take a different approach due to kobe 19 restriction some of these initiatives will include zoom meeting posting a presentation on the website video demons video demonstrating drop cover hold when the earth shake we have always worked closely with the
