Trading Post for Steve over three years ago we specialize in cashless trading in two weeks it'll be our 4 year anniversary from the trade shop before you brandi passante and jarrod schulz are the rookies of storage wars more often than not end up losing more money than you came after the expressed interest in a particular storage unit bully dave Hester drove the price way up knowing the couple didn't have much to spend but their persistence paid off though and after spending $1,700 on the unit Brandi and Jarrod uncovered a collection of classic toys that none of them a $12,800 profit not to have for the underdogs old box of wine we've got a box of wine score I got my bike up and running out number two creepy statue look at that any likeness this piece got to be a one of a kind the teeth appear to be actually the very waist came through in a big way once again during season two when he showed up late to an auction and quickly quote what appeared to be a worthless locker with a couch and a few odds and ends all for a seemingly overpriced $1,525 but in this case the collector knew what he was doing he had spotted a small box tucked away in the back was something that he absolutely needed to investigate it turned out to be a sculpture of a wooden bust with a real int with real insect dentures and glass eyes along with a window in the back of its head that revealed an entire scene taking place in the statues brain the rather odd piece turned out to be a bit of a collector's item and was valued at six thousand dollars the only problem place was too enamored of the strange bust to even consider selling it I would say that if it were in a gallery they would certainly ask [Music] $6000 and navy number three Elvis newspapers we start with something small and trade up something amazing what was in the deal takes skill and strategy but not every trade goes down like we play past storage wars regular dave Hester who was fired just after the third season was the buyer everyone loved to hate he was known for driving up the prices of storage units if he knew a fellow buyer was eyeing it and was just confrontational in general watch this competition is made Hester was a pretty lucky buyer with an eye for value case in point in the first season Hester bid $750 on a storage unit with old newspapers at first it seemed that all Hester had done was purchased a load of outdated periodicals but then he discovered that the stash was all from the same day August 6 1977 sound familiar that's the date Elvis Presley died the unit ended up being a gold mine with a plethora of papers all sporting the king of rock and roll's face adding up to a staggering $90,000 Mersey 1953 and 37 I can't afford to keep it any more I'd like to trade it for something that's more economic or original Frank Gutierrez in the season 3 finale darrell Sheets obtained the biggest payday in storage wars history sheets known to the public as the gambler bid 3,600 dollars on a locker simply because he liked the looks at some of the artwork inside after doing the little research the artwork turned out to be original paintings by Frank and with the edits much to everyone's disbelief the lot turned out to be valued at more than $300,000 despite the skepticism sheet says he spoke with could together as himself who actually owned the storage unit it was nice enough to return some of the artists personal items just not the thousands of dollars worth of artwork but a tremendous amount of Frank Gutierrez's work this is you have to number five car and motorcycle parts five more keys old Yamaha it's gotta be it this looks like a Yamaha not so much season four of storage worth with Barry Weiss's final episode before his hiatus to film the spin-off show buried treasure during the first episode Barry stumbled upon what would make a very happy season opener for him he paid roughly one thousand seven hundred dollars on a shabby and somewhat dilapidated storage unit filled with car and motorcycle rights at first the stash looked somewhat worthless probably due to the lack of maintenance in the storage unit but upon inspection waste discovered that his unit would then have little over ten thousand dollars worth of profits that's one way of starting the season off with a bang you're welcome it's the one [Music] don't work number six Holy Grail toy and comic collection 500 bucks look at the size of these Frankenstein collectible dolls $150 over the course of the show darrell Sheets aka the gambler has found other ways to make Bank besides stealing and rare hunt in this case it came in the form of a comic book and toy collection then he purchased back in season 5 but you literally dubbed the holy grail of toys the locker contained an endless supply of GI Joes Hot Wheels and a whole host of other collectible dolls and toys along with an absolutely massive collection of comics we're talking about 3,000 books but shake which sheets valued at approximately $10 apiece the total kept rising as sheets tallied up the mountain of collectibles finally settling a grand total that top $90,000 finally setting the total kept rising as sheets tallied up the mountain of collectibles finally sitting on a grand total that Tommy $9,000 number 7 video game collection NES system is common thread of change and here cute fellas this was all pretty common stuff right here everything that is in this box I have on the Shelf here moving from comics to video games the first episode of season 10 featured another huge payday this time going to bidder rene nezhoda who landed the locker for a beaker $1500 the haul video games video games and still more video games the collection was monstrous filling up a large Locker and clearly assembled by a collector who knew his stuff throughout the very long process of adding up the seemingly endless collection of vintage entertainment pieces it quickly became clearly this was just a massive pile of surplus with no duplicates in the mix the dusty pile of memorabilia contained everything from rare Sega Genesis games to a copy of the NES game Bubble Bobble part 2 that was worth several hundred dollars on its own the whole collection once it had been painstakingly counted up was worth upwards of 50 thousand dollars one time in 14 years really look at this one Oh powerfully Till's snow brothers killer title you got some number eight antique treasures flowerpots 125 bucks is a $60 bill for you put it on there nice little decorations how to Dallas this one is even nice at all this stuff is hand-painted $200 another Locker that rene nezhoda and his wife casey picked up during season 6 also resulted in a huge profit the couple discovered an endless procession of high-value pieces of the range from a beautiful grandfather clock in mint condition to a set of baroque by Wallace a collectible silver that was easily worth at least 2 grand along with an oil canvas painting the king with paperwork stating is worth $8,000 the collection ended up including among other things pictures model ships artistic flower pots and statues from places as distant distant Africa and Asia all valued at a minimum of $50,000 talk about hitting the jackpot it's being worn afford this probably be around $1000 water for Caleb Ross I guarantee you we're gonna get two thousand dollars put a set number nine model grand pianos it the dolls look porcelain Barry Weiss later had his own spin-off series buried treasure had actually never been interested in bidding on storage units until his friend approached him about appearing on storage wars although he was not very experienced wife's hit it big early in the first season after spending only $275 on a unit filled with salon supplies but it first appeared to be a bust actually turned into a major victory when White's dug a model 1928 Marshall and Wendell grand piano out of the mess and turned a nice 11600 $25 profit which likely contributed to him staying with the show for so long I need focus on big pieces now by Mary needs to learn number 10 vending machines so now that's gonna be about 300 bucks there's a beautiful empire sofa that's about 400 bucks to make that at $400 with the marble top and then I've got another big fine for dave Hester came when he employed his acting skills to discourage anyone else from bidding on a unit he felt good about at first glance it appeared that the unit was filled with old broken vending machines but Hester spotted brand new ones in the back he tricked the other bidders by walking around ranting about how worthless the unit was then he managed to snag the unit for the bargain price of $1,300 and sold the new machines for a nearly 28,000 dollar profit you got a little French table here there's gonna be $200 and then it just keeps getting better here's some Victorian furniture $200 on the antique rocker there
