Stocking our pond with 5,000 fish!

alright I'm gonna try crawfish to the nose I don't think it's gonna pinch that hard nope oh gosh these sharp [Music] all right you're right fish or something we're headed to get some fish this would be a fun day never but fish from a fishery [Applause] [Music] oh my guess we have a think we can hold it without like when we get it [Music] yeah okay so we're gonna distribute some of these little feeder fish we explained all we got here in a minute but we're to put a few of these feeder fish in some of the big waters we have we've got one over here for the EMU we put some fish in here it'll hopefully eat some of the gunk that gets in here and then maybe that Yumi's a lot of fun with them too there's about five fish down there you can see that one swimming over there all right bamboo enjoy your fish all right then the second amount we're gonna separate out 30 or 40 of them we're gonna put them in the cow ink for now and then we've got a special surprise we're gonna do with some of these fish here a little later [Music] some of the fish jumps to help just into the car we got to pick them up all right let's go to Dolly's area first you pick up her hey hey dolly you got about 50 minutes and diners and we want them to eat all of the feed that falls on the ground in there that dolly spills after she eats and then spills it in there also might help keep lies and mosquitoes or whatever is attracted to water so [Music] who tell you how to drive who tell you how to breath [Music] all right you guys like my outfit I look like a farmer huh I can go play in the water now it's pretty deep out here pretty quick me and alike sucks in my body all right so let's talk about what we got here the initial inspiration for us doing this is that regard none of this greens the road it was gorgeous last year we wanted to get rid of that I get some fish that would help with that but while we were in the process of doing that we also thought we would get some feeder fish for our our bigger fish our bass our bluegill that are in the pond we got some Fathead minnows and we got some shiners and these came at I think it was about $10 a pound and they said for our size pond to get about 15 pounds of these fish thousands of these little fish and so we're gonna put those all in the pond today to help grow the size of our bass our bluegill so now let's scoop some of these that they told me the temperature and their water should be about the same as pond waters right now so should be a pretty smooth transition for them to the pond [Music] and Cole everyone is so cool some um go right into the moss it gets real deep bucket number two so look at the draw we got a little crawfish in with all of our trip this one good-looking dude I guess the good thing I don't know if they like take over ponds or anything the good thing is we only have one of them so I guess there won't be a lot of reproducing I'm gonna have it pinch my nose or something or a finger let me see if they pinch my finger Oh Poly's oh I'm tempted to try the nose you know you want to try it all right I'm gonna try crawfish to the nose I don't think it's gonna pinch that heart hope think it'll hurt Becky ohh ohh that was sharp they're sharp it wasn't that strong with a sharp let's try the nose here Oh Constance sharp let go should we let them in keep put them in the pond yes [Music] [Music] go buddy go and he's off you ever see him again maybe we can't maybe maybe not he's got some bubbles you can see where he's at there's bubbles all right and the whole reason we're here today is for these guys we've got some grass carp and so these guys they're they're a little over a foot long and these fish are to eat all the moss and the grass and the pond to help keep it clean for us so we are really excited about these guys to give us a nice clean looking pond in these grass carp well the other ones were $10 a pound for those feeder fish these guys are $8 apiece so I hope you have enough take care of all the moss in our pond because these guys do not reproduce don't approve reproducing streams and so if these guys die they die and we don't have anything else to take care of the moss [Music] either the biggest or the second-biggest in the in the bunch they're prettier thing hopefully next time we are out here we'll start seeing some some moss getting eaten up within a few weeks or maybe a month that we see a difference yelling you're right hold it out get you some [Music] check it out we just got a halter hunt ollie this morning she's not liking it too much never had a halter on her I don't think but we want to be able to lead her around Wanda just trading her a little bit but we want to get her up to the house that's where we have our hose and can actually clean her off we've got some dirty areas that we haven't been able to wipe clean we've got a task here our last thing we're gonna do with some of these minnows you guys are doing pretty good here they're flying all around you've had a few died we feed them over to the chickens they seem to love them but we'll keep some minnows in here and we'll take some over to the mandarin ducks right now drink our water that's four carry your minnows dolly okay okay put that in the water doesn't water keep the dolly out of it I got one by hand we got about 12 fish or so I think the Ducks like it wasps all right it's time to fill up a pool and let the Ducks do some fishing [Music] Oh [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] ooh fun fact about that scene took almost an hour before these Ducks got in the water and I see most of the minnows are gone so they did a great job with still no eggs yet but it's a warmer week so hopefully that'll change we'll see you guys next time
