this small little camper is the sniper x9 by off-road rv and not only can it fit in your garage it has the ability to tilt up so you have standing room at the campsite now this camper is pretty small at 13 feet but you're going to see throughout this walk through that it lives really large i'm also going to share with you three other campers on the market that have the garage ability the standing height but different prices to fit your budget and then i'll share three things i like about this trailer and then three things i'm not a big fan of so let's get right into this walkthrough so the box is nine feet long the overall camper is 14 foot long tip to tail plus a little bit it's the same width as your tow vehicle for the most part same height six foot four so you're not going to rip anything off when you're going through tight spaces it's nice and compact so it won't clip any corners on you we've got storage front and back everything folds up and sets back up in about three minutes you pop the top pull the awning out and you're good to go side awning takes a little bit more time to set up it's got 44 gallons of water on board two 22 gallon tanks instant water heater two 10-pound propane tanks full-size spare tire setup for this takes about three minutes hit the two latches on either side you push the lid up pull the back awning out and you're done it literally takes you about three minutes side awning takes a little bit longer but one person can easily set it up in about 10 minutes you've got side storage here we also offer a pull out fridge freezer combination that can go here and then we've got another option yet that we can put the fridge freezer on the tongue in a storage box and get it closer to your kitchen that frees up your internal storage space also the propane stove and sink fold right up tuck in close your door and you're good to go so setup is is amazingly fast [Music] plexiglas window on each side that's got a full blackout shade and a full screen those clipped together so you can do whatever proportion of screen and shade you want insulated windows that have three preset positions so you can open them up serve coffee to your wife like a good husband's supposed to storage pantry on the side here with touch lighting it's got 200 watts of solar on the roof come standard with it two 22 gallon tanks for clean water underneath one in the front one behind the axle 44 gallons of water total so that'll last you as long as you want to stay outside just about full-size spare tire two 10-pound propane tanks a mchitch fully articulating coupling system that is super easy to hook up and disconnect i do it one person without even hardly looking nice big storage compartment on the side stow all your gear in there shower compartment enclosure it all folds up and tucks in flush with the camper so you're not worried about pulling anything off as you're going through tight spaces instant water heater that serves both your shower and your sink so you've got hot water on demand whenever you need it a full enclosure here for the back awning makes it easy so if you want to have your kids stay in cots out here or if you want to use it as a changing room or just an extra space it works perfect for that there are two things i failed to capture on this walkthrough for the exterior before i take you into the interior here and the first thing is just the flush sides of this trailer i don't know if you noticed it just look at the fender alone in north america we're used to these protruding large fenders in the overland off-road industry now in australia like this trailer they want things to be built in and flush with the sides and that also includes the fenders and the belief behind this is if you're taking this down a narrow trail you don't want any objects that are protruding that'll catch on a branch on a bush on a rock this is giving you the best chance of going through and not hanging up on anything and then the other thing is just the width of this trailer now in north america a lot of trailers are going wider and the belief system behind this is if your wheelbase is wider than the trail it's not getting caught in that rut it's staying on the outside but many of the australian companies believe it should be just in line with your trailer that way when you're working through tight scenarios you know if your vehicle can make it your trailer can make it too all right so let's take a walk on the inside here it's easy to walk up into and as you can see you've got full standing height i'm five foot nine and i've got a ton of headroom here it works great for somebody even six foot four six foot five it's a queen size bed so you've got plenty of space it's really comfortable and this folds up real easily and there's two seats on either side and a small table that drops down so if you've got inclement weather you can get in out of the out of the rain and and be comfortable the mattress and the bed fold up latch on the side and then you've got seating on either side table that drops down so you can get in and out of the inclement weather and be comfortable while you're doing it can you show me putting that bed back down again sure simple that's probably the quickest move from a bed to a seating area all led lights the battery and the battery management system are located in the wheel well underneath this side here it's got a redarc battery management system so that you can see how much energy is coming in how much energy is going out it's all um supplied by the 200 watt solar panel that's located on the roof and then you've got the availability with an anderson plug on the tongue that you can hook up a secondary solar panel and get some additional energy going there as well you've got storage on the top of each side here you've got storage underneath the bed the whole camper is about eighteen hundred pounds dry and then you load up your water tanks put your gear in you're maybe twenty three twenty four hundred pounds so it's an easy pull with just about anything that's that's out there right now but as you can see it's pretty spacious you've got the side windows here so you've got great ventilation it's incredibly comfortable the windows take the breeze right across you when you're trying to sleep at night so you don't have to worry about missing the breeze by just a couple of inches it's one of the most comfortable campers i think that's out on the market so the three things i'm not a fan of on this trailer number one as you know if you've watched this channel slide out kitchens a slide-out kitchen means you have to put up an awning you have to put up a shelter over it so you can't just pull over on the side of the road you can't just get to camp and start making food and inclement weather before you cover that kitchen number two canvas anytime you introduce canvas into a build you have the potential of mildew and rot that means when you tilt this camper up and it rains the day you're taking it home it'll be wet you collapse it down you're going to have to pop it back up at home to let it dry out and the other issue i find with canvas is the takedown is longer than the setup because you have to tuck in the corners and make sure everything is flat and then number three it was actually tough for me to find a third one this trailer is built really well i'd say if there's a third it's the price and i'll show that in a bit this is priced a bit on the upper end of this industry the three things i love about this trailer the first one being that table to bed configuration now you hear me talk about this a lot i'm not a fan of beds that turn into tables it gets old doing it in the morning doing it at night and they're not that fast because you have to move things around this is the fastest one not only that i've seen in the current industry but i've seen period in the history of trailers this requires you just to tilt it up flip it down and you're in a new configuration and this saves you a lot of space in the camper number two it's that space that i just mentioned i love how the camper has just enough space to do the necessities standing to change your clothes eating a meal but still small enough that it forces you to have an outdoor experience and then number three that is the weight of this camper typically to build a camper of this type of off-road overland specs it's going to be heavy it's going to not be able to be towed by a standard mid-size suv or your typical commuter vehicle this is going to fit most mid-size suvs and small trucks on the market a very similar trailer to this trailer in the market is the mission overland trailer i'll put a link in the description of our walkthrough of that basically similar overland components garage ability but it does have the ability for bunks so it can expand the number of people that you use with this trailer the next trailer is one of my absolute favorites and that's the meerkat trailer at over 50 percent less than cost this is a trailer that i think is going to fit a lot of you well is it overland off-road worthy probably not but does it have decent clearance absolutely at 11 and a half 12 inches of clearance this is going to be taller than almost any vehicle you can find stock from the factory it's a great little trailer especially if you're on a budget then there is the opus off-road trailer this is a trailer that pops up but it's an inflatable design that takes about 90 seconds and gives you eight feet of standing room i'll put a link to that walkthrough in the description below and then there's the largest trailer that can fit in your garage but also stand in and that is the taxa mantis also have that one as a walk through link in the description definitely do not forget the traditional pop-up trailer and the off-road trailers i have two videos i'll link below just about the pros and cons of pop-up trailers they are literally the smallest trailer that offers the biggest living space of any trailer on the market so if you need low profile for towing garage ability and a large space i'm talking two king beds on some of them for your family this may be a really good option for you i'm going to point you towards this playlist here it's of all our walkthroughs check out those walkthroughs it's going to help you decide what trailer is right for you and if you already own a trailer and you're out on the road stay safe out there and enjoy this big beautiful world
