[Music] hey it's me my face two things first if this is your first time seeing the new intro that means you skipped last week's video and i'm now mad at you i'm just kidding but yes i did already talk about the new intro last week second thing oh i'm in front of the camera today i'm just here face to face instead of doing the whole hand thing keep things fresh keep y'all on your toes you know so let's get to business this video is a squishy makeover but notice it's not a fixing your squishies makeover it's just a regular one because today i'm not going to be using broken squishies from my viewers i actually purchased these the reason i wanted to do these squishies in particular is because they're human these are people so when i saw these i was very interested in trying to decorate them oh how little you knew i'm not going to be doing all six in this video because that would take me two months so i'm just gonna be doing three these three which only took me one month but what you're seeing now is actually duplicates of the ones that i painted because i've already finished painting them but no spoilers before i get into this i just want to warn you this video was a struggle you are going to see some things and this is going to be an experience i think we should just jump into the makeovers though makeovers here it is so i'm gonna do this one first the face is a bit creepy i think it's her eyes and how they bulge out like a fish also accented by some fish lips her outfit just seems a little bit bland she's in uh like business attire her overall design to me is a bit monotone although of the three squishies that i'm working on today i think that this one was the best looking to start with i do love that hairstyle so let me get started with completely destroying this so she's gonna go under the knife today or you know under the scissors i'm just cleaning up the messy seams at first and then i'm just gonna smooth out all the details of her dress because i want to change the style of this also removing those fish lips at this time i was thinking that yes i can probably paint something better than those so let me just cut those off my confidence is sickening and look at this i can still recognize her lips among the scraps look at those little grubs so now that she's been silenced i'm going to take some sandpaper to this to rough it up a little bit and prepare it for paint looks like she's had a rough day no so now to fill in some of those cuts that i've made i'm gonna use some puffy paint to try to seal all of that in and cover up the rips a little bit better after a few coats of that she looks like a alien zombie creature of some sort now to cover up all of that mess i'm just gonna be painting a base coat with some white matte fabric paint so that it's easier for me to create my design on top okay so i believe all of these squishies that i'm painting today are based on lol dolls i had no idea what these were when i bought them i found them on ebay just like randomly and i've had these for months one day i just happened to see one of the dolls and i was like that's what these things came from whoa what was that not that it really matters but i just thought i'd point out that i do know that i'm going for the skin now which oh i'm not used to painting uh skin tones so i was struggling a little bit to find the right shade this paint is actually my uh chocolate ice cream color it doesn't look quite right for skin i know so weird it's just a little bit off i think it's too gray and she looks a little bit dead half dead dying so that was my first mistake but just wait now i'm going to move on to her hair and it's such a fun hairstyle so i went for a multi-colored kind of carnival color scheme the way i painted it actually doesn't make any sense at all because the colors on her buns are like in completely different orders than the hair that's growing on her scalp but i didn't really care i was just kind of going wild with the hair this was back when i had so many hopes and dreams for this squishy memories once i created the different stripes of color then i went in with very thin layers of paint and kind of blended them together and you know what her hair now really reminds me of those multicolored alpaca squishies maybe subconsciously that's why i thought that this color scheme would look good on her hair i don't know who knows why i do the things i do but this took forever maybe an hour and a half just on her hair i was so invested in her i swear and that's looking just about how i wanted it so i'm gonna move on to her clothes no more business casual i'm gonna make her outfit just as fun and colorful as her hair so i painted the upper half pink and then for the skirt i painstakingly painted stripes of color it kind of looks like a circus tent which also took forever wow i was so invested in this girl side note this background color is very green that's cool okay so now i decided to pay homage i hated the way i said that to her past self and i'm adding a bunch of gold accents to her outfit since she had a lot of gold on her person before but of course i'm using a much brighter more yellow gold that will pop out a little bit more oh this is kind of satisfying and her outfit is really starting to come together i'm piling on some gold paint to give her some rockin gold boots and at this point i'm just so happy with it she's looking exactly how i pictured her and i was having a lot of fun at this point remember her like this this is the best she's ever going to look so i'm starting to try to attempt to paint the face while i'm waiting for that first layer of paint to dry i'm just gonna go around and do some little touch-ups here and there which isn't always the best idea oh shoot but i do it anyway i got a little overeager and started on one of the pupils and then realized that the white wasn't dry yet calm down wait a little longer i ended up adding some white little frills on her sleeves and then a little white collar it's so cute i was having way too much fun putting this outfit together and avoiding this situation i even added some little white bows to her buttes to her buttes ain't that the cutest so my goal with the face was to make it less creepy than the original considering the original i thought that that would be pretty easy honestly this is fine i should have just added some eyebrows put on some eyelashes a simple smiley face and you know what you're done that's just leave it that's fine leave it please but of course i way over complicated the design oh gosh yeah i'm laughing now so this was my first attempt at the face she looks like a demented muppet so i added a bottom lip and some gold eyeshadow why oh my gosh so now she's a demented muppet with self-esteem issues so i toned down the eye shadow and while i was up there i just fixed the edges of her hair just take a second to think about what i've done life is full of regrets then i thought you know the problem must be her lip color so i tried red her lips look like a mustache the problem must be that she doesn't have eyelashes it's not getting better maybe the problem is that she doesn't have highlights in her eyes this is one freaky looking fish i'm starting to realize just how hard it is to make those huge bulging eyes not look terrifying this is real time right now i was literally just sitting there holding this thing staring at it regretting so much i was trying to create a super detailed design on a face and using fabric paint is not very easy to get those tiny little details it's like painting with glue but i've worked with it enough at this point that i thought i could make this happen my confidence was my downfall and as i keep on trying and keep on changing things the thick layers of paint are just building up and building up just just leave it like that seriously you've done enough but was i satisfied no i'm just gonna continue to fight this i don't even know what i'm doing anymore so maybe it's just that her eyes are too big and too circular so i thought that if i gave her eyelids it might make her look a little less scary but i had repainted this area so much it was starting to look really chunky no makeup she looks like an old man now at this point i was starting to get fed up so i added a few more things and then i just ended up making all the rest of the changes off camera i don't want to show it it's so bad you guys are going to judge me [Music] here she is absolutely hideous at least she can stand a little bit better so she has that going for her okay 100 i think the original looks better if this is your first time watching one of these makeovers things usually go a little bit better but this time i just i flat out failed but i think the biggest problem is all the weird nasty globs on her face from every time that i changed it and it really just emphasizes that shininess that's not helping it looks like she's sweating but let's not be negative let's be positive okay silver lining i do really like the hair and the outfit but they're just not enough to make up for that i mean if you look at it from a distance she looks kind of cute but you get up close and it's just like oh snap i'm gonna stop picking on her now it's not her fault i know it's difficult but let's move on so now i'm gonna try with this girl who i think overall is a lot uglier to start out with than the first squishy so that's a good thing that gives me hope i think she's supposed to be a baby or something i believe this is supposed to be her pacifier but it's flesh colored so it looks like um it looks like a like a blowfish yeah that's no and the pattern on her dress i mean am i missing something here what even is that and i think her torso in general just has a really awkward shape to it let me see if i can improve this one she flew away she doesn't want what happened to the last girl to happen to her come back first i'm gonna start by chopping off that pacifier i'm also reshaping her torso and i'm bringing in some memory foam because i thought it would be cute to add a little ponytail to her head so i'm just sculpting that out of memory foam oh also i wanted to say that i did post another unboxing video where i opened a bunch of used squishies that have been sent to me for squishy makeovers that was a couple weeks ago but at the time that i posted that i had already been working on these for like a week i think so i'm still gonna be using the comments from that video to pick out the next batch of squishies but that'll be the next makeover video so here's her ponytail i'm gonna do a super high off center ponytail side ponytail there we go i'm sticking it on with fabric fusion and then rubber banding it in place to let it dry she's having a great time once that was done i realized i hadn't sanded her yet usually i try to sand them before this stage because sanding can be a pretty aggressive rough process and we wouldn't want to dang it yeah to make that happen so i had to trim off the dried glue and redo that whole process until you've sealed extra pieces on with paint the joint is gonna be a little fragile i'm gonna start painting over this with a random color of puffy paint so i'm just covering that exposed foam entirely so i can create a more seamless look with the rest of the squishy and once that's taken care of i'm going to cover up the whole torso as well and oh look i ran out of green so it's time for the purple to step in and once all of this dries i'm gonna go to a white base coat again so i'm creating a nice clean fresh start don't screw it up jumping onto the skin i'm giving her a tan complexion and oh shoot i forgot to do the back okay hold on never mind oh today's the day for mistakes i guess so let me finish up this base coat speeding through speeding through back again working on the skin and this is another one of my food colors i believe i use this color for vanilla cake so got a cake face but this time i actually did go ahead and adjust that color slightly to make it look a little bit more natural so that's a little bit better i'm going with purple hair for this one i was gonna make her a brunette but then i decided you know what i see brown hair every day so why not choose something a little wild you know the ponytail looks interesting because her hair in the back is still going straight down when it should be going toward the ponytail but that's okay let's just pretend that that makes sense for the dress color i chose a mint green i thought that that would look nice with the lavender hair i wanted to basically use the opposite color scheme of the one that i used for the first girl oh that reminds me i was actually pretty sick during a lot of this process so can i blame my mistakes on being sick will you let me do that no this girl's outfit is starting to come together right now i'm adding all the white areas of her outfit and i'm making a flower pattern on the bottom of her dress the funny thing is i was actually not that excited about this girl's design you know as the first girl i i was so excited about her okay sorry i'm gonna stop talking about it now so i ended up making several changes to her outfit as i went along i also decided to add metallic silver for the details since the other girl had some little special metallic moments it's only fair to give her some as well we gotta be fair to our squishies because that definitely matters my favorite part of this design is probably the dark green bow i don't know i just i think it really ties everything together literally so once i added that i really started to like her outfit a lot more i also gave her some little green shoes to match and i'm cleaning up her skin areas and finally it's time to work on the face you know just with art stuff in general it's easy to envision what you want or to just sit back and be like oh well i would have done this different and done that and done that and done that but when you actually have to sit down and make something happen and create something it's really difficult we're not off to a great start with this face but after adding a few missing details she actually came together okay so here's the before and after i mean you know i'm pretty satisfied with this one i do think that it is an improvement on the original but honestly i don't know if it's that the original was just that bad or if this is actually decent i don't know i think i've been staring at these for way too long i think she's cute i do really love her outfit you know who she really reminds me of remember my thick mermaid from forever ago it's her c sis it's just weird how the color schemes are so similar and yeah of course i bring in another awkward looking squishy of mine but you know thick mermaid had a full body and face transplant so she has an excuse what's your excuse so this is the last squishy i'm gonna do contrary to the other two this one has a flat face which is nice no bulging fish eyes it's wearing a unicorn headband been there done that and wow that's a short dress whoa are her cheeks showing put those cheeks away girl her hair is just a mess of curls it's like busted shirley temple wait what are those pink circles oh those are hair curlers okay i just now realized that they could have made that cute they could have put her in a robe and slippers and then it would make sense let me see what i can do with this starting by ditching the skirt i made a discovery i mean it's a booty hole okay that's so immature sorry i mean it's right there i'm just trimming that off and trying to smooth it out as much as i can and while i'm at it i'm gonna just you know go ahead and cut all of her hair off as well i basically am just like starting completely over with this one so here it is looking very naked and nervous wow i cut a lot off of that one dang and oops almost forgot i'm taking away the lips also so now we can start repairing some of this with puffy paint and there's a lot of area to cover because i chopped off a lot so this is going to take a minute i want to do several layers of paint to make sure that i'm getting the surface as smooth as possible and wow that looks scary once again i'm covering this with a base coat so this just makes it a little bit easier here we go with the skin i love how i did everything in the exact same way in the exact same order for all three of these it makes it wonderfully predictable surprise there he didn't predict that and for him oh i just gave it away for this one i'm gonna be doing a pinkish skin tone and yes i'm making this one into a boy i decorated two girls already so i thought let's make one of them a boy i ended up giving him brown hair which my original plan was to give him red hair but i changed my mind because i thought the brown might hide the fact that i just completely scalped the thing i don't know if it really made a difference but that's what i did i decided to give him a nice little pair of overalls and i will point out that his butt looks a little strange because of the way i had to cut it all the way down to cover up that hole so his butt is like inverted once i finished up with the overalls i added his shirt which i should have done that first i don't know what i was thinking in this video i decided to give him different colored sleeves kind of like the shirts that i like to wear for some weird reason i don't know why i have an obsession with shirts like that i don't know i haven't really figured this out yet i decided to outline the whole thing with dark blue because i felt like the overalls needed more definition which i think it was a good idea but i don't know maybe the outlines are too dark or there's just too many so i went back through and i thinned them out a lot and that definitely helped i'm adding a few more details a little patch little snaps on his overalls and then it's face time and his face i didn't have too much trouble with it wasn't much different than the normal faces that i do because there weren't any bulging eyes that i had to work around so i was just able to create a face from scratch which was nice just a quick note also if you're trying to get thin lines with this paint the only way to do that is to draw a line as thin as you can which is probably gonna be kind of thick and then go in with the background color to thin it out so this face isn't horrible i don't think but after staring at it for a while i decided that i didn't want that wide mouth it looked like a hippo so i ended up just changing it to a more normal smile here's the before and after i'm kind of just like lukewarm about this i guess i like it i don't think that this one is like a massive improvement from what it was he's cute i don't i don't hate him i'm just not as in love with this as i normally am he's just always popping out of nowhere at the grocery store at the movie theater in your shower nope just kidding let's not make him creepy okay i've had enough of being scared of my own creations today so he's the only one who can't stand so i'm having to awkwardly hold him up the judgment on her face okay so [Music] well i hope you were entertained by this video at least let me know in the poll in the corner if you want me to try to do the other three or if you think i should retire from squishy people altogether either way thank you so much for watching and i will see you guys next friday bye [Music]
